5. Masthead
The masthead of my magazine is consistent
across front cover, contents page, double
page, billboard and website. This allows my
audience to establish a clear perspective of
the name and creates brand awareness,
resulting in my product having an established
brand image.

6. Advertisement I used the website to advertise the magazine by linking
articles e.g the Dreamland article mentions the a possible
price that can be won by purchasing a copy of the
magazine. The website gives snippets to what's in the
magazine to make the audience want to go and pick up the
magazine and read more into it themselves. I also offered
the chance to subscribe to the magazine and the emailing
list to make it easier to ‘purchase’ or keep up with what the
magazine is putting out to offer to their readers.
I then further advertised the magazine and the different
[platforms it can be views on, on my billboard. By
advertising the fact it is available on another devices as
well as a physical magazine, along with the social media
signs, it allows the audience to connect with the magazine
between issues and creates a wider audience to read the
magazine and more likely to create loyal consumers if they
keep up with social media.
7. Sell Lines
My slogan/sell line appears on my front cover,
billboard and website to create consistency
between products, creating a brand image and
house style whilst providing an insight into
what the magazine will be offering, particularly
with ‘seaside’ used. Links are made between
the sell line and the masthead as Coast relates
to the seaside and beaches.
8. Website - My website address appears on editors
page and my billboard. This allows mt audience to
establish a link between all platforms. My website is a
companion text that assists the preferred reading of
my product on alternative platforms.
Billboard - My billboard advertises the front page of
my product on multiple platforms.
Fonts - I kept the same font throughout the whole of
my media productions. This creates professional
consistency (hegemonic norm)
Colour/Theme - I kept the house theme throughout
my whole magazine and ancillary tasks, which blues,
greys and yellows. I just slightly varied the shades of
each colour. This creates more links between my
media productions.
9. Overall
The website is in line with the magazine, particularly due to the change in society following the
digital versions of the production, putting both ‘physical’ copy and website on equal footing.
However, the billboard is used just as an access route into the magazine whether it be through
the website or a physical both, or seen on the app store, as both are represented. Combining all
of my media productions will help the audience connect with the magazine in between issues
and view the magazine on different platforms as we are more in a digital society. They also all
help to promote and advertise each other which helps build a larger reader base therefore help
create a larger revenue and preferred reading to my target audience.
