This document describes a project to create edible cups made from coffee grounds as an alternative to disposable plastic cups. The team proposes making cups by mixing coffee grounds with cornstarch, water, vinegar, lemon juice, baking soda, vegetable oil, ginger, and sugar-free tablets. The mixture would be heated and molded into cup shapes then baked. The edible cups would be a more sustainable alternative to plastic and decompose fully. Testing showed the cups could withstand temperatures up to 105 degrees Fahrenheit and hold liquids for over two hours without leaking. The cups would provide both packaging and a snack in one edible vessel.
