1. Justin Bieber â Purpose Tour â
Birmingham â 18.10.2016
After a year off from touring and swearing he
would never come to the UK again, Justin
added several arenas in the UK to his Purpose
Tour dates. We had the chance to witness
this gig live on the 18th
of October and can
honestly say it was the gig of a life time!
Bieber put on a proper performance, with
dancers and all stage effects; he even took
part in a lot of the dances himself! He used
the whole of the stage, making the whole
audience feel like they were part of the
performance. Fans even showed plenty of
support to Biebers support acts âMiC LOWRYâ
and âThe Knocksâ. Dancing and singing along
best they could. They went exceptionally wild
when Bieber made his first appearance
during his song âMark My Wordsâ where fans
screamed and cried as Biebs was lifted into
the air in a see through box, which he wrote
the words âPurposeâ inside.
As he wondered the stage throughout the
night, we spoke to fans after the gig who all
said they had extremely intense eye contact
with the man himself. One fan, Lucia,
explained âItâs because he likes the fans to
feel wanted and loved, which is why itâs so
intense.â All fans especially loved the song
that made Bieber who he is today; âBabyâ
explaining that they just feel good whenever
they hear the catchy tune.
2. We spoke to fans in the queue, one fan
particularly stood out against the rest. âWeâve
camped out all night.â India-Rain, 17, spoke to
crew. âIâve been here 26 hours now and I just
want to get in! Itâs my first time seeing him,â
she stated. âI want to be right at the front, up
close and personal, to watch my idol of 5 years
perform.â
Is this a usual thing for you to do? Camp out
for a gig that is.
âThis is my first time camping out for any gig
actually, but I do usually arrived to gigs hours
before theyâre due to start. I like being on the
barrier, and I rarely settle for anything less!
âI will definitely be camping out again, though.
Iâve just enjoyed it so much and Iâve met so
many lovely people through doing this who are
exactly like me.â
How far did you travel to be here
today?
âIâve come from Harrogate, which is
about 2 hours away.
âBut itâs nothing compared to
travelling to Cardiff to see One
Direction or going to Surrey to Meet
Niall Horan!â
What made you want to camp out for
Bieber then, if youâve never done it
before?
âItâs because itâs my first time seeing
Justin and Iâve always been a bit too
young to do it in the past. But now Iâm
older and a little more mature, so I feel
I can look after myself better than I
would in the past. Some people
camped out without tents theyâre that
dedicated, itâs crazy!
âIt was 8 degrees last night, but we
were all ok and didnât feel the cold or
anything really. We were woken up at
5am this morning though by someone
singing to Bieber. Thatâs either a
blessing or a curse if Iâm honest.â
India-Rain Harrison, Harrogate.
