Jake Lloyd spent 2014 traveling the world with singer Perry Bailey, which inspired his new album "Time Changes". He wrote over 80 songs while living in various places like Australia, England, and the US. Lloyd's time away strengthened his songwriting by allowing him to draw from his many personal experiences traveling. Travelling around the world for months has helped British sensation Jake Lloyd complete his
fantastic new album, "Time Changes". The 22-year-old singer, who spent most of 2014
hitting the road with Perry Bailey on her "See you soon" tour, admitted that the places he
visited and the amazing people he met around the globe inspired him to write the songs he
did for the album as a follow up from his first album back in 2012, "Division".
When asked about his year away, he instantly started talking about the USA, "America is one
of those countries where you are guaranteed to have a variety of experiences and meet a lot of
new people, it's like going to the movies and watching a film that makes you feel every
emotion possible. But there are other songs inspired by London and places like that. I feel all
these songs will be bigger hits as I was able to write about a lot of my own personal
experiences, I worked with a lot of very big people in the music industry, that is something I
will never forget." He continues....
"We lived in Australia for two months, mostly in Sydney, we lived in England for four
months, all over the UK actually and the USA for six, moving across from New York to
Nashville, then to L.A." he said in an interview on Grant Hill's radio show recently. "When
we were on the road, I wrote over 80 songs, some great, some average, but that's just how it
works it isn't it haha."
"I actually didn't stay with Perry and the team that much while in the UK for our four months.
I've got family all over the UK you see, so I could visit and spend time with them as well as
practising and performing in the big arenas, for me it's the perfect combination. When we
were in London, obviously I was staying in Croydon with my parents and siblings, in fact I
even took my 17 year old twin sisters to one of mine and Perry's concerts one night, put them
in the VIP section and made sure they had unlimited refreshments. Afterwards, I took them
backstage to meet everyone, they were buzzing to meet Perry haha! When they saw her in the
hallway, they both ran up to her and bundled her! I can't begin to imagine what kind of family
she thinks I have haha, but no, she loved them, they loved her that's for certain. Giving my
sisters the chance to experience something as incredible as that is something I never want to
stop, and then give the same to my little brother when he's grown up a bit."
The album, "Time Changes", worked on while he was away, will feature other songs
including "No Control" which is allegedly about Lana Del Rey cheating on Lloyd with his
best friend. Jake hasn't confirmed or denied the allegation, but has given chat shows and radio
shows various hints over the last year or so to whether it's true or not. On John Major's
Australian chat show, he was asked if it was indeed about the Lana Del Rey cheating
incident, he replied, "People write songs relating to their own personal experiences."
Followed by a little smirk shown on his face. But on Alan Gosling's American radio show, he
was asked the same question and he replied with, "The past is the past. I don't hold on to the
past."
Regarding relationships, Lloyd has been allegedly spotted kissing Perry Bailey while on her
"See You Soon" tour. Dancers on the show told reporters they saw the pair 'snogging' while
back stage in his dressing room. Is another artist-with-artist relationship looming for Jake? "I
love Perry's company and it's amazing to travel around the world with her for her tour, that's
all it is at the moment." There is talks of Bailey featuring in Lloyd's next album due to the
wonderful working relationship they hold with each other, we'll let you decide whether you

Indify exclusive photo shoot.
Michael Buble is definitely one of the coolest people he has worked with for the new album.
The world wide loved musician served as the producer for Jake's hit "Fool's Gold", the lead
single. "Michael is one of those people who gets on with everybody, he has a special
relationship with each person he meets, thankfully I was one of them!" said Jake. The gentle
song inspired by the 1D track "Little Things", which was released earlier this month, received
very positive reviews and it is currently sitting at No. 3 on the UK top 40 chart.
Not many people know how Jake Lloyd become such a well known artist. In fact, his is a
remarkable story of a young man who left home at 17 to hone his talent, went Stateside, and
ended up befriending a superstar. He impressed Bob Dylan so much that he became his
mentor, helped him get his first album out which actually sold more than two million records
and shifted over 100,000 tickets for his live shows. A very much 0-100 start of a career for
Jake. 3 years on after that release, he’s now the toast of British music. Harry Potter star
Emma Watson can be seen playing Lloyd's girlfriend in the video for his single
"Photograph". David Beckham and Jack Whitehall tweeted about him, and stars such as Sam
Smith and Gary Barlow were at his London shows. Last summer, his name was a more
popular web search in the UK than Harry Potter or the weather.
Back in 2009, at 16, he played more than 300 shows at venues ranging from pubs, clubs and
open-mic nights to schools and homeless shelters, fine-tuning a style he describes as ‘acoustic
soul'. Every time he would put his music dreams ahead of his school work. "No one can even
imagine how many arguments I had with my parents over not going to school because of gigs
I've set up. After a while, I think they both just gave up because you could tell they began to
realise how much I wanted it, they began to realise that it was the only thing I would ever
want to do, and for that reason, they started to support me, the support they provided was
amazing." says Jake about his loving parents. To try and get himself even more known, Lloyd
released a series of independent EPs online and supplemented his income by selling CDs out
of his own rucksack after shows!
2010 was the year he got noticed by Bob Dylan when Jake went over to America. "I was
there all on my own," he says. ‘The first gig I played there was in a place called Inglewood,
in upstate New York. It was an open-mic night. I started off the set with 'In My Recovery' and
managed to get in some Snoop Dogg, who’s from around there. You have to have a unique
selling point." After that one gig, Jake got the call from Bob. "I still cannot believe it! One
gig and I receive a phone call from a worldwide star? I still have no words." Even though
Jake has became a global star himself, to this day he still speaks to Bob at least once per week
to ask for some advice on certain things. "One night I remember ringing up Bob and asking
him whether I should get chinese or pizza haha! Most other things I ring him about are
completely professional questions, I promise!!"
"Even before this appointment with Indify, I rang him up to ask for tips. He replied with, 'Just
be yourself, you've been doing that for years and look where it's got you'. I just smiled and
put the phone down."
We, at Indify are sure that there are still huge things to come from this young South London
man.
