I. CONCENTRIC ZONE THEORY Burgess s concentric zone theory was presented
in 1924. He presented a descriptive urban land use model that divided cities in a set
of concentric circles expanding from downtown to the suburbs. His representation

Burgess model assumes a relationship between the socio economic status of
households and the distance from the Central Business District. The further from the

King Akhenaten was well liked and portrayed as a god among men King Unas was

This book is unlike most nonfiction novels. It s different. It has pizzazz and sass to
it. I would most definitely recommend this book to others. It is well written, fun to
read, and one can really connect to it while they are reading.
It s informal and isn t loaded with facts or specific dates. Kear uses simple slang
while writing this book and uses strong but fun diction that readers can relate to
because it s the type of language that they use in everyday lives. Her words come
to life on the page, while the words on the pages in some nonfiction books seem to
be stone cold dead and one s eyes will pass over them taking in nothing. It makes one
feel like they personally know Kear, unlike other nonfiction novels that are filled with
facts that the readers don t understand and a bunch of dates that don t mean anything
to them.
This book is truly a fun and quick read, but yet it still has so much in it that readers
can get. There are so many life lessons and little tips in this book. She is a mother
of three children which automatically gives her a majority of the wisdom in the
world. But on top of that, she has lived. She has actually lived her life. She has
traveled, gone through boy after boy, had adventures, and experienced new things.
With exploring comes newfound knowledge and she shares a majority of that
knowledge in her book. Her tips are funny and to the point. Each chapter starts
with a new tip on the life of being blind or on life in general and she always does it in
