7 Prayers Of Jesus Research Paper
What do you learn by reading several of the twenty seven prayers of Jesus?
There is a lot to be learned when reading Jesus prayers. It s also worthy to note as a reader I don t
just look at the verse that was the prayer, bur also look before and after. I find reading the context
the prayer was developed around is very important. I will start off my reviewing several prayers I
have chosen from the list and give you what I learned and in the end summarize my thoughts.
Starting with Hebrews 2:12, Jesus prays to the Lord and states that he will proclaim his name to
the community. He states, in the midst of congregation I will praise you . That line really stands
out to me and makes me think, why does Jesus the Son of God pray to himself? ... Show more

There are many different genres in the Bible. More so there are tons of prayer going in the Bible
that fit into different genres. Looking at different literary literary devices that encompasses genre
we can begin to see how prayer really is a genre and what distinguishes it as such.
Jesus tells us how to pray. [Matthew 6:9 13] This is an example of technique which fits into
what makes prayer a genre. Jesus was showing how prayer should be done specifically. There is
also different historical time frames in regards to prayer. Looking at how Abraham prayed in
Genesis 18 to how Jonah prayed in Jonah 2 you can see a major difference in the times.
Looking at Jonah 2, you can see that Jonah s prayer to God is a Psalm. Jonah uses metaphors
throughout this prayer. Going back to Abraham s prayer he is speaking with no metaphors or
figurative language to God. This is very important because the differences is what makes prayer
have different genres.
Different tones in prayer are heard as well, from when Jesus was begging God to not to kill him
on the cross [Matthew 26:39] to Jesus in a much joyful tone as he rejoices. [Luke 10:21] Not only
tone sets a genre but so does the content of the prayer which changes from character to character in
the Bible. These are just a few examples of what distinguishes prayer as a

Literature Review On Evidence Based Practice
Main Question Post: Discussion 10
Introduction
Evidence based practice (EBP) offers a framework utilization of systematic high quality research, an
analysis which consistently enhances measurable client outcome and clinical decision making
grounded in rationality; EBP depends on data collected through experimental research and accounts
for individual client characteristics and clinician expertise. The potential benefits of EBP comprise
of increased service delivery and quality of care, heightened accountability, and a bridging of the
research practice gap (Sackett, Straus, Richardson, Rosenberg, Haynes, 2000). It is imperative that
research scholars are cognizant of research outcome dependability and validity prior to

The researchers inferred that the evidence discovered optimistic advantages of massage
physiotherapy to bestow alleviation of bone pain in cancer patients; however, additional research
analysis is essential to ascertain long lasting impacts (Running Turnbeaugh, 2011). A
nonrandomized single group pre and posttest design of a randomized two period crossover of
approximately 230 contributors and a substantial result over a three year interval were appraised in
the therapy of visceral pain (Running Turnbeaugh, 2011). The researchers determined that the
evidence champions the utilization of massage remedy in the therapy of visceral pain of cancer

Rituximab Case Study
Various mechanisms for the action of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) have been identified:
п‚ћComplement directed cytotoxicity (CDC):
The mAbs bind to antigen on the cell surface and exposes their binding sites for proteins. These
proteins initiate the complement cascade and trigger the release of chemotactic factors and the
formation of the membrane attack complex, which promotes target cell lysis. Rituximab shows this
activity.
п‚ћADCC mediated adaptive immunity:
MAbs bind to antigen on the tumour cell surface, providing the target for Fc receptors on the
surface of natural killer (NK) cells. Cross linking of receptors with mAbs triggers release of
perforin and granzymes from NK cell that lyse the tumour cell. Cell debris is taken up by antigen

The drugs targeting on immune checkpoint have demonstrated higher response rates and prolonged
overall survival in cancer patients, as suggested by clinical cases.
PD 1 is a checkpoint protein on immune cells called T cells. It normally acts as a type of off
switch that helps keep the T cells from attacking other cells in the body. It does this when it
attaches to PD L1, a protein on some normal (and cancer) cells. When PD 1 binds to PD L1, it
basically tells the T cell to leave the other cell alone. Some cancer cells have large amounts of PD
L1, which helps them evade immune attack. CTLA 4 is another protein on some T cells that acts
as a type of off switch to keep the immune system in check. These two proteins are major target for
anti tumour mAbs under development.
Pembrolizumab: approved by EU and US in 2015 and 2014. Gives treat on melanoma. It targets
on programmed cell death 1 receptor (PD 1). PD 1 receptor protein down regulate the immune
system by preventing activation of T cells. Pembrolizumab blocks the inhibitory ligand of PD 1,
reduce the PD 1 function and therefore activates more T cells. Research suggested that cytotoxic T
cells are more susceptible to be inhibited by PD 1, hence TC become more activated when

Introduction of the Cut Throat Institutions of Western...
What many considered the modernization of China was actually China s introduction to the cut
throat institutions of western capitalism, foreign policy, and western imperialism. China for
centuries had dealt with foreigners on its own understanding of foreign policy called the tribute
system which maintain the idea that outside nations would be submissive to Chinaauthority as a
sign of respect to the Emperor because China was seen as the most advance country in the world
and in recognition of the heavenly mandate. The tribute system was mostly used between China
and nomadic Asian tribes as a form of peace negotiations. Later when western influences came to
China to trade, China developed the Canton system as a way to strictly control foreign trade with
the western European nations (mostly England). In the 19th century the Qing dynastyexperienced a
decline. A series of peasant rebellions (Taiping rebellion 1851 1864 C.E, Miao rebellions), poor
central administration, and a drastic growth in population left the Qing government vulnerable to
the European s superior military power. England tired of the strict regulation of the Canton system,
what they believed to be the Chinese undeserved entitled attitudes, and the need for new markets,
used gun diplomacy to force China to accept unequal treaties and open its foreign trade. This was
China s introduction to modernity , but in truth it was the imperial nations craving up of China for
their benefit and labeling it as bringing

The Oil Curse Essay
Saudi Arabia is a primarily oil based economy, with oil being the most important component of the
nation s rapid economic development since World War II. U.S. geologists discovered oil in the
region in the 1930s, and since exports expanded most notably in the 1960s, production and rich
revenues have been seemingly limitless. The amount of oil in Saudi Arabias reserves amounts to
close to a quarter of the world s entire oil resources, and today the country produces about 10,000
barrels a day. As a result, the valuable resource currently accounts for 90% of the country s exports
and contributes to 75% of government revenues annually. During the 1970s, following the Arab

The nation s inability to shift toward a more liberal state of affairs can be attributed to many
factors, three of which in particular, will be examined and discussed throughout this essay: the

Throughout its history, a series of different dynasties and kings have ruled Saudi Arabia. Today,
Saudi Arabia is in the midst of s the Third Saudi State . It was founded in 1902 by King Abdul
Aziz Al Saud, who conquered the remaining ruling families, and through the Treaty of Jeddah on
May 20, 1927, was recognized as an independent realm by the United Kingdom. Since then, the
Saud family has ruled the kingdom. The king is the head of state and government and decisions are
made through the consultation of senior princes in the royal family ( Third Saudi State ).
Saudi Arabia is not an electoral democracy, nor is it considered by Freedom House to be free , as
it scores 7 out of 7 on its freedom scale (1 7, with 7 being not free ). The Basic Law of 1992
declares that the Koran and the Sunna, which offer guidance based on the deeds and sayings of

Parasailing Short Story
Parasailing Sailing over a hundred feet above blue waters sounds incredible, right? Well, I have
it was honestly the most terrifying and thrilling thing I have ever done. I got onto the ship to get
to the bigger bout and thoughts started to creep into my head like a shark was going to attack
me, or I was going to drown. My heart was beating at least 200 beats per second. Too start off this
great story, I got up in the morning of a sunny and bright day at the beach. I was at my Aunt
Lorraine s and she was like Shadee, do you want to do something crazy.
So, I said Yes, of course, I would love to! Before we went to find something too do we went and
got breakfast, and picked up my grandmother. Meanwhile sitting at the beach, we saw this yellow
banana looking raft going across the ocean. I asked, What the heck is that. They replied, I have no
idea. As my Grammy Kim got up, we all got up. My Aunt Rainy asked, Where are you going.
Kim said, To see where those boats are taking them. While, we walking we found out the yellow
raft is called a banana boat. Which was extremely ironic. We laugh for at least ten minutes. It was
so hilarious. The banana boat was taking people to a bigger boat called the Captain. I said, Can we
go parasailing or just ride the Banana Boat? As a man started walking up to us he said, Hi, my
name is Seth. I work for the Banana Boat and parasailing company. Are you guy interested in riding

Applying The 4 + 1 View With Uml
Applying the 4 + 1 View with UML 2
Summary
The (UML) Unified Modeling Language is a general purpose modeling language in the field of
software application design, which is developed to supply a conventional means to envision the
design of a system. It was produced and created by James Rumbaugh, Ivar Jacobson and Grady
Booch at Rational Software during 1994 95 with additional advancement led by them with 1996.
In 1997 it was embraced as a basic by the (OMG) Object Management Group, and has actually
been handled by this company since. In 2000 the Unified Modeling Language was likewise
approved by the (ISO) International Organization for Standardization as an authorized ISO
specification. Ever since it has actually been regularly modified ... Show more content on

UML 2. X
Apparently, the UML 2.0 significant modification switched out version 1.5 in 2005, which was
created by a bigger consortium to boost the language further to mirror brand new experience on the
use of its attributes. Even if UML 2.1 was never ever launched as an official requirement, versions
2.1.1 and 2.1.2 showed up in 2007, adhered to by UML 2.2 in February 2009. UML 2.3 was
officially launched in May 2010. UML 2.4.1 was officially released in August 2011. UML 2.5 was
launched in October 2012 as a Present version and has yet to come to be formally launched.
There are 4 parts of the UML 2. X spec:.
The Facilities that define the core meta model on which the Superstructure is based
The (OCL) Object Constraint Language for specifying guidelines for model aspects
The UML Layout Interchange that specifies exactly how UML 2 diagram formats are exchanged
The Superstructure that specifies the symbols and semiotics for diagrams and their design
components

Tim Burton
Inspired by Roald Dahl and Vincent Price, director Tim Burton is easily one of the most
remarkable and creative directors of his generation. Burton has a unique and individual way of
challenging the minds of viewers and attracting individuals to his films, and has been using this
technique for over 30 years. His ways persuade the audience to change the mood they have toward
the film. In the films Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Edward Scissorhands, and Big Fish
Director Tim Burton uses cinematic and editing techniques such as lighting, sound, and flashbacks
in order to enhance the mood and feelings of viewers.

One very important editing technique Burton uses in his films is flashbacks. Burton uses
flashbacks in order to build structure for the mood and feelings of the audience. An example of
a flashback is in the film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Burton uses flashbacks in the
beginning of the film in order to educate the viewer about the connection and relations that the
Bucket family has had with Wonka and his factory. The flashbacks showed Grandpa Joe
working for Wonka before the terrible tragedy that is the closing of the factory. The flashbacks
educates you about how Wonka treated his workers, the amazing things he did, and how the
factory shut down. After viewing, you start to feel sad for Wanaka because Grandpa Joe
described him as a great and marvelous man with incredible ideas and inventions, but jealousy
got to the competitors forcing them to steal ideas and inventions Wonka created, forcing him to
shut down the factory. Burton also uses flashbacks to build structure for the mood and feelings
of the audience in the film Big Fish. He uses flashbacks to give you a glimpse of the relationship
Will has with his father. The flash backs told and showed the stories of Edward Bloom and his
adventures. They explained all the stories that will was told and gave you a clue on what the
relationship between them was like. A lot of what Edward said was true and because of that, the
flashbacks make the audience reconsider

Air Force Academy Essay
Did you know that the Air Force Academy only has a 12.3% acceptance rate? Because the Air
Force Academy has such a competitive admission policy, candidates need to be physically fit,
well educated, and have a vision of what to do as a graduate. The United States Air Force
Academy (USAFA) was established on April 1, 1954 to serve as a proving ground for all Air
Force cadets and officers. Construction of the academy started in 1955, but it wasn t until 1957
that it was complete. The academy is stationed in Colorado Springs, Colorado due to the fact that
Colorado donated one million dollars to support the cause. The first graduating class the academy

cadets have graduated throughout the years. A major boost to this huge production of graduates
was the acceptance of female cadets in 1976. Today, the USAFA has produced some of the finest

Role Of Investment And Commercial Banks Play On The Global...
Introduction: This paper will examine the roles that investment and commercial banks play in
creating and predicting systemic risk in the global economy. This topic is of particular
relevance due to the events that unfolded in the economic sphere nearly a decade ago during the
financial crisis of 2007 2008. Our study will provide a detailed rendering of the crisis, outlining
each of the key factors that contributed to the crash in an attempt to gain a better understanding
of what happened and how to avoid similar events from unfolding in the future. Much of our
study hinges on the role of banks on the markets and their influence over global systemic risk. In
order to establish a link between bank prices and economic trends, we will focus our analysis on
one key metric, Value at Risk (VaR). A powerful statistical measurement, VaR is used to assess a
firm s potential loss over a certain period of time. To generate a diversified and complete
quantitative analysis, our calculation will incorporate pricing data from January 1st, 2000 to
November 30th, 2016 of eleven of the most prevalent banks in the US financial system: Bank of
America Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Citi Bank, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs,
HSBC, JP Morgan, Royal Bank of Canada, UBS, and Wells Fargo. Our aim is to establish a
predictive correlation between the historical performance of these banks and the markets in order
to avoid downturns such as the financial crisis of 2007 08 from happening in the

published in Midwest Quarterly, vol. 11, no. 4, 1970, pp. 443 456. Bort, in his essay Winesburg,
Ohio: The Escape from Isolation, briefly examines the characters in many of the short stories
included in Winesburg as they fail to both understand each other and to connect with other
members of the town. Working chronologically, Bort specifically mentions: The Book of the
Grotesques, Hands, Paper Pills, Godliness, Adventure, and Tandy pointing to their contribution to
the major themes of Winesburg, Ohio. He begins his analysis comparing Hands and Paper Pills as
he asserts that their relationship is central to Anderson s message. He applies each example to this
pair of stories with opposing representations of isolation, and in the end, relates the structure and
content of the collection of stories to his conclusion about the true nature of the book being the
description of what Anderson calls significant moments. Bort s essay is made up largely of
summaries of each story, and though this may be effective in illustrating his argument, the amount
of quotation used is excessive to one who has read the collection beforehand. Additionally, Bort

Joint Light Tactical Vehicle ( Jltv )
Introduction
The joint light tactical vehicle (JLTV) is being destined to initiate a new era of the U.S. military
tactical vehicle that is designed to meet universal requirements for the future warfare and in hostile
environments. Thus, at the same time, Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) has been offering
fruitful case study for the assessment on its program management and procurement processes.
Therefore, this paper will briefly provide fundamental assessment on the JLTV program from the
requirement development through its current state including budgeting, acquisition process and
some challenges faced in the requirements. In addition, it will also highlight some observations on
best practices that might be applicable for the future ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, enhanced survivability and both strategic and operational transportability by sea and
air are also crucial for the JLTV project requirements. The primary mission of the Joint Light
Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) is to provide protected, sustained, and networked light tactical mobility to
the Joint forces, capable of worldwide deployment across the full spectrum of military operations
and mission profiles under all weather and terrain conditions.
In addition, it has been designed that the JLTV would support C3 in both immobile and mobile
modes, various wider ranges in complex and dynamic operational environments.
Nevertheless, initial concept composed of three variants based on different payload capabilities,
four passenger Combat Tactical Vehicle (CTV) and a two passenger Combat Support Vehicle
(CSV) variants were survived as a final choice. The Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC)
of the DoD that provides a close oversight to joint acquisition programs and makes
recommendations to the Defense Acquisition Board has approved the JLTV program which would
be led by the Army in November 2006.
It was notable that, even though, joint Army/Marine Corps had intended to issue a Request for
Proposal (RFP) for Technology Development Phase by October 2007, the Pentagon s acquisition
executive, John Young disapproved the issuance of the RFP due to deep concern on funding
adequacy, technical maturity, and shifting requirements.

Banana Yoshimoto Brings The Unconscious to Life in Newlywed and Helix Banana Yoshimoto
effectively portrays various common themes and motifs in both Helix and Newlywed , in revealing
the subconscious state of mind of the respective protagonists. Although the storylines are quite
different, we get the feeling that many themes and strategies such as isolation, incredible poetic

interchangeable. These literary patterns allow for the protagonists to both escape the shallowness

This dramatization brings the reader to the realization that the protagonist s stream of
consciousness narration is very unpredictable, yet will ultimately lead to his ability to expose his
true feelings as the story develops. The author clearly likes to represent this feeling of indecision
with poetic illustration as it is used several times in both stories. In Newlywed , the narrator
vividly describes his mixed feelings toward his wife, Atsuko, during the peak of his epiphany
like experience: For me, the beautiful, all encompassing web spun by this creature is at once so
polluted, yet so pure that I feel compelled to grab on to it. I am terrified by it but find myself
unable to hide from it. At some point I have been caught up in the magical power she has.
(Newlywed, 16) Banana doesn t strictly limit her poetic language to the story s character
development; she also uses it to depict specific moods in order to contextualize certain situations
that shake up the intensity of the story itself. Coincidentally, in both Helix and Newlywed , the
feeling of isolation is commonly portrayed throughout both stories with the unique use of grandiose
language. This allows the protagonists to avoid any outside

The Importance Of Communication As An Effective Communication
Directors it is important that it is done so in a formal manner. Any information that is given to them
must be based on factual evidence rather than just opinion. This means when making
recommendations, evidence needs to be given to support it, whether this be by including changes to
statutory, local authorities or governing bodies requirements for the running of the home. Evidence
may also be submitted in the form of a report formulated by myself, which would include different
research methodologies to support my findings. Communicationis largely face to face, or via email.
Sales Representatives
Contact with sales representatives always warrants formal communication. This is because they are
often precursors to a business contract occurring. It is therefore important that communication is
clear and there is full understanding by both parties.

Education in Underprivileged Countries Nelson Mandela once said, Education is the most
powerful weapon that can be used to change the world. He was right; an education can provide
great opportunities for people. American children have the chance to receive a quality education, but
that is not the case in some countries. In underprivileged countries, children may not receive an
education. In the natural photograph taken in 2009 by American Press photographer Altaf Qadr,
Rajeesh Kumar Sharma has started a free school under a bridge in India to educate underprivileged
children living in surrounding neighborhoods. Most children in America will never have to
experience a situation like this because the government has passed laws to guarantee every child
receives a quality education, but what if the government did not regulate education laws? Imagine
the children of the United States having to miss school because of household duties or cultural
influences? These are common scenarios for children in underdeveloped countries. Inadequate
government funding, household duties, and cultural influences affect whether or not a child
receives a valuable education in an underprivileged country. When governments lack the finances to
fund a proper school, children will not receive a quality education. The government officials in most
developing countries simply do not include funding for primary education in their budget because it

John Hersey s Hiroshima Essay
John Hersey s Hiroshima
John Hersey s Hiroshima is a factual account about the day the United States government
dropped the first atom bomb on the city of Hiroshima, Japan. John interviewed six survivors and
reported their stories in a factual but interesting fashion. He gives a brief description of each person
and tells of his or her daily activities both before and after the explosion. Hersey s descriptions of
people and events give the reader a feeling of actually being at the scene. He intensifies each
character s need to survive. The sense of survival is deeply rooted in the hearts of most people.
One of the survivors ( hibakusha as they were known), Mrs. Hatsuyo Nakamura, is described as ...a

Mrs. Nakamura s sense of survival saved her life and the lives of her three children. Even though
her rationality was blurred at times, such as getting overcoats for the children in the middle of
summer and throwing her sewing machine into the water tank, her desire to survive pushed her
beyond her limits.
In comparison, the Testimony of Toshiko Saeki tells of a young woman s struggle to find her
family after the bomb was dropped. The woman s name is
Toshiko Saeki who, at the time of the bombing, was with her children at her parents home which
was far away from Hiroshima. She saw a flash of light then felt heat surrounding her body. She
then heard a loud noise and saw windows and doors being blown away into the air. When she
realized what had happened her first instinct was to go to Hiroshima to find the rest of her
family. On her way she saw a naked man holding a piece of iron over his head. She was
embarrassed and turned her back on him. The man was passing by me, thn, I don t know why,
But I ran after him and I asked him to stop for a moment. I asked him, Which part of Hiroshima
was attacked? Then the man put down the piece of iron and he started at me. He said, You re
Toshiko, aren t you? He said, Toshiko! (Saeki 1). Toshiko couldn t tell who he was until he said, It

The s Super Size Me
Being able to persuade someone is a very powerful thing, Morgan Spurlock in the documentary
Super Size Me surely did. In this film, he sets out a goal to prove that Mc Donald s is very bad for
you. To prove that he eats a different meal from their menu three times a day for thirty days. He
demonstrated techniques that made him very convincing to the audience. Some of the major
techniques he used were the use of many facts/statistics, the audience trusting him, and interviewing
people that are living with health issues from fast food. Instead of showing you the statistics on
paper he did it himself and that right there is out of the ordinary. Risked his life to show his
point and he sure did prove his point. Morgan used many facts and statistics throughout this film.
A certain part of the documentary he shows the audience how affecting advertising is to children.
The technique was very interesting because of instead of just telling the audience that advertising
is very convincing to your children he showed them. He gathered together a couple of children
and started asking them general questions that the average kid should know. He showed pictures
of pretty important people and none of them knew who they were. Morgan Spurlock: What is this
a picture of? Child: I don t know. George W. Bush? [Morgan shows the camera that it is actually a
picture of Jesus] Then he showed a picture of Ronald Mc Donald and the kids instantly stood up
and knew who he was. Showing the audience

The Horrors of Society Illustrated in †Telephone...
In Telephone Conversation we have a telephone conversation between a black man who wants to
rent a room, from a white woman. We see that society is ignorant and racist. Prayer Before Birth
is a poem addressed to God from the point of view of an unborn baby who is scared to go into
society. They both have negative views of society.
In Prayer Before Birth society is presented as scary. The narrator is pleading and says I fear . She
(no gender is specified as it is meant to symbolize all of humanity) is scared of blood baths . This
uses alliteration and it is a metaphor. This could stand for all the violence that exists in the world
wars, murder, pain etc. She is scared of all the blood shed that exists in the world. In some ways ...

However, the white lady can only see in terms of DARK or VERY LIGHT . She seems to be in a

celebrated, as everyone has to become an automaton and a cog in a machine . However, Telephone
Conversation is more positive as there is a man dealing with racism, and despite feeling anger ,
(symbolised by the red booth and the Red pillar box the red symbolizing anger), he does not act
with violence, he acts with humour Friction, caused ... My bottom [to turn] raven black . This
reaction would go against some of the fears of the unborn baby as the African man has kept his
humanity, despite his bad experiences in society.
Society is ... made to seem ridiculous
Soyinka s main aim with this poem was to try to change people s racist views. She does this by
showing a racist incident, but showing it as ridiculous, thus highlighting just how stupid and
nonsensical the racist views of 1950s British society actually were. The white lady is made to
seem uneducated, as I have already said. Through the comparison of his education and her
ignorance, she is mocked. She actually symbolises society at the time, and so by mocking her, the
whole of society is mocked. Whereas he is, on the whole, very polite he calls her Madam , and he
deals politely with her rude questions (except perhaps at the end).

The Seven Deadly Sins After The Reformation
The Reformation of the Christian faith caused a major change within the Church and was a major
16th century European movement aimed initially at reforming the beliefs and practices of the
Roman Catholic Church. The Reformation ended the unity imposed by medieval Christianity and,
in the eyes of many historians, signaled the beginning of the modern era. The Protestantism
Reformation was also the schism within Western Christianityinitiated by Martin Luther, John
Calvin, and other early Protestant Reformers. The Reformation caused a change in the attaining of
salvation; salvation was no longer achieved through the community, but through individualism. In
this essay, I argue that after the Reformation, salvation was achieved through individualism... Show

The Penitential Cycle was a series of actions that led to salvation and forgiveness of one s sins by
God. This cycle included both the achieving of salvation and strengthening the relationship of the
community as a whole. There were five steps: Contrition, Confession Communion, Absolution,
Penance, and then Grace is achieved. When a Christian committed a sin, the first step to have his
sins forgiven is contrition, which was truly feeling remorse for committing the sin. The second
stage was Confession, in which the sinner would confess to the community of his sins. This would
strengthen the relationship between the sinner and the community. The fourth stage was
Absolution. In this stage, the sinner would go to the pope to receive absolution from God and God
would forgive his sin. After the absolution had taken place, and the sinner was forgiven of his sin,
but was required to continue to show his remorse by completing the next stage, Penance. Penance
was community service that the sinner would complete to show his contrition and once again
strengthen his bond with the community. After the Penitential Cycle, he/she would stay in a period
of grace, where the former sinner was completely cleansed of any sin. Through these stages, a
member of the community would strengthen his relationship and bond with

Analysis Of Storm Warnings By Adrienne Rich
No storm is experienced the same. Seeing a storm on the horizon has the power to stir up gripping
memories, introspective thoughts, and convoluted emotions. The poem Storm Warnings , by
Adrienne Rich, applies a predictable structure paired with flowing syntax, and ambiguous diction
speaking both of weather and emotions to illustrate that one cannot avoid the tribulations of life,
embodied as the approaching storm, but instead prepare for their arrival. Storm Warnings, true to its
literal subject matter, possesses flowy sweeping syntax created by the strategic use of commas and
phrasing to draw parallels between the physical oncoming winds and the gales of life. The author
crafts a long run on sentence that spans the first stanza and carries on into the latter portion of the
second to mirror the continuous flowing of windy weather and the forward motion of life. Once the
speaker notices the brewing storm, they walk from window to closed window, watching boughs
strain against the sky. In this portion of the affromented run on sentence, alliteration, rhythm, and
the repetition of words all contribute to the impression of movement. The various w sounds at the
beginnings of words and the repetition of the word window create a sensation of continuously
flowing forward, especially when read aloud; the comma adds a small swirling pause to the rhythm,
which is then soon after resumed with the word watching. Just as the poem rhythmically moves
forward with its long phrases connected with frequent commas, so must life carry on with each
additional experience, whether it be misfortunes or joys. The elongated syntax allows all these
elements to work together within sentences to highlight the similarities between physical storms
and emotional struggle and to stress the inevitability of predicaments in life.
Despite the flowing syntax, the poem has a clear and predictable structure to replicate the persona s
calm familiarity with experiencing and answering to storms in their life. It is interesting to note that
even though parlous weather is on its way, there is a lack of panic, chaos, and anomalies in the
structure of the poem. There continues to be seven lines in each stanza throughout the piece;

of storms. Winds speeds can reach speeds nearing 300 miles per hour and can destroy anything in
its path. Tornadoes form rapidly and can travel for miles along the ground and lift up from the
ground, and then suddenly change directions and touchdown again! There is little you can do to

Evaluation Of The Clinical Practice Guidelines
Appraisal of CPG The Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) is guidelines that are systematically
developed and informed by the Agree II tool that evaluate the quality and development of the
CPGs. (Ambulance Victoria, 2014). It is used to help and guide practitioners and patients to make
decisions towards specific health issues and to implement an intervention to optimise safety and
recovery. (Cecamore et al., 2011). Clinical practice variation refers to patients that are diagnosed
with the same or similar health concerns, but who do not necessarily receive the same care. It
reflects the differences in a person s health status, culture or preferences. Depending on the type of
health services and health consultants that patients approach, the treatment of the outcome would
always vary (Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, 2013). Furthermore
CPG s are made to reduce clinical practice variations and establish better decision making skills.
AGREE II INSTRUMENT APPLIED TO THE CPG The AGREE II instrument which stands for
the Appraisal of Guidelines for Research Evaluation was developed to analyse the variability,
methodology and quality of guidelines, as well as what information and how information is
reported within the guidelines. (Brouwers et al., 2010). This tool is applied to the assigned CPG

Freud did develop another theory that many authors have described in their literary works, which

conscientiously and unconsciously. It also described the behavior of the human body and why
we do the things we do. Freud was a real pessimist when it came to human nature. He identifies

these ideas off of Darwin s original ideas. (Freud, Civilization) Another big work is of
Dr.Victor.E.Frankl regarding the Humanistic Psychology. There arises the concept of the forces.
(runet.edu) The First Force systematically excluded the subjective data of consciousness and much
information bearing on the complexity of the human personality and its development. The Second
Force emerged out of Freudian psychoanalysis and the depth psychologies of Alfred Adler, Erik
Erikson, Erich Fromm, Karen Horney, Carl Jung, Melanie Klein, Otto Rank, Harry Stack Sullivan
and others. These theorists focused on the dynamic unconscious the depths of the human psyche
whose contents, they asserted, must be integrated with those of the conscious mind in order to
produce a healthy human personality .The third blow came to be about through the psychoanalysis.

When the English settled into the New World, they were split up into two sections, the Chesapeake
region and the New England region. Although the English settled both, the two regions were
severely different from each other when they were brought about. The New England and
Chesapeake colonies differed in three ways: their reason for venturing over, economy, and
population. These major differences were what shaped our nation today and what will continue
shaping our nation in the future. When the Mayflower sailed over to the New World, on the boats

not as many as the Chesapeake settlers did. The economy of the two regions also greatly

New England the settlers could not grow anything in the rocky terrain and were forced into

In the Chesapeake slaves were also a main part of their economy. The slave trade made them

The Canadian Community Health Survey
Purpose of the CCHS:
The Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS) is a federal cross sectional assessment that aims
to obtain health related information at the regional tier. This series of surveys gathers population
level data linked with health status, health care usage, and the root causes affecting overall health.
The CCHS aims to document emerging health trends that can assist in population health research
and additional health surveillance programs. Furthermore, the effective utilization of the CCHS can
serve as a platform to improve the well being of all Canadians and raise awareness about health
concerns and innovative health strategies.
When did it start and why?
The CCHS is a joint effort of Health Canada, the Public Health Agency of Canada, Statistics
Canada, and the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI). In 1991, the National Task Force
on Health Information highlighted various discrepancies with the collection and management of
Canadian health data. As a result, a Health Information Roadmap was constructed and a framework
for the CCHS was developed. The CCHS initiative began surveying in 2001, and, in 2015, the
CCHS implemented a new collection mandate resulting from a redesign project that included
significant content modifications.

The Depression Of Manic Depression
For my research paper, I decided to look into Manic Depression. I have chosen to write about this
topic because I have been personally dealing with this disorder since about eight years old.
Manic Depression is usually referred to as Bipolar Disorder, but when I tell someone that I am
Bipolar, they just think that it means I get angry easily. People seem to take me more seriously
when I refer to it as Manic Depression. I used to have to take a wide variety of medications and
go to counseling when I was younger because I was having struggles with suicidal urges.
Recently it has gotten significantly worse since the death of my father due to a stroke in 2012.
This is a very serious topic for me because it has made and will continue to make my life more
difficult than it needs to be. Manic Depression first started to get looked into in Greece during the
1st century by Aretaeus of Cappadocia. The research he did was not acknowledged for many
centuries after. The terms manic and depressive come from the ancient Greek terms mania and
melancholia. The ancient Greeks and Romans learned that lithium could be used to treat the
manically depressed people by bathing with lithium salt. In this era, it was very common for the
deeply religious dogma of the time to execute people that suffered from bipolar disorder or any
other mental disorders. During the 17th century, a book named The Anatomy of Melancholy was
written by Robert Burton. The book covered different forms of treatment for

Example Of Personal Narrative Essay In Spanish
When I first stepped onto the tarmac, I was apprehensive and excited, gazing at the indigo
mountains of the Montserrat in amazement, and as I turned to follow the rest of the passengers to
the terminal, I promptly tripped on my suitcase and went sprawling.
I traveled to Barcelona, Spain last July to help a family teach their daughter English and to
discover a whole new world I d never experienced before. The trip was a whirlwind of tapas and
teaching, with several bike rides to the beach dispersed throughout. Three weeks after my
arrival, I was conversing in fluent Spanish to a cheerful stranger after being tumbled by a rogue
Mediterranean wave. Strands of seaweed and pearly white grains of sand adorned my hair. My
nose and cheeks were burned a deep pink. My left knee sluggishly bled crimson, and I had never
felt more beautiful. I felt comfortable in my skin, and no longer had the nagging fears I felt at
home before I left. My transition from childhood into adulthood was not a graceful glide from one
to the next, but instead a jarring fall. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I was raised in the little town of Carmel by the Sea, and by the age of 17 I needed to see the
outside world, to experience different cultures, and to meet new people. I dreamed of talking to
Greek philosophers or Japanese fishermen, and I worked to make my dream a reality. After all the
arrangements, I found myself on a jet plane with a letter of recommendation for my host family in
the pocket of my favorite navy blue hoodie. For the first time in my life, a sweeping ocean
physically separated me from my friends and family, and I was living with strangers. It was
frightening, but that didn t stop me. I was determined to see the world with my own two eyes, not
just through the pages of a book or dinnertime

Concussions In Youth Hockey
New rules that are implemented resulting in less penalty minutes for aggressive play (Mick).
These rules are extremely important in youth hockey, bantams especially. The bantam age group
is the age most boys start growing and get more muscular and more prone to aggressive play. This
can cause tremendous injury to a player if one does not think before he hits another player. Many
of the players do not understand how dangerous these acts really can be. The human body is not
invincible, although many think they are. The increase of body checking rules has decreased the
injuries that usually come from these hits about three to twelve times lower. Fifteen percent of the
injuries resulting from a body check are concussions (Mick). Concussions are... Show more content

Hockey is a fast paced sport with little time to react or prepare for a hit correctly. The knowledge
of knowing how to take a hit is just as important on how to distribute a hit. Both can cause
significant harm to both players if not done right. The biggest rule to follow when you are about
to get hit is to have a low base. This means to have your knees bent at about ninety or so degrees
and to put most of your weight on the ball of your foot. This way your center of gravity is lower
and you have more balance. This also protects more of your limbs from getting hit. As opposed
to standing up with makes you unbalanced and prone to worse injuries. Another crucial part of
the game is how you give a hit. Many clinics have been set up to show how to properly hit, but
boys tend to ignore the rules and just try to hit someone has hard as they can. This is why during
practice during the regular season it should be practiced on at least once every week or two
weeks. But even the knowledge of how to hit and how to take a hit isn t enough. Proper stretching
and strength training has proven to strengthen muscles and to allow flexibility and decrease
injuries (Mick). More players should take advantage of doing a full, warm up before a game. This
decreases chance of injury while also increasing the performance of the

Edith Stein Research Paper
Early Life St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein) was born on October 12, 1891 in
Berslau, Germany in a large family. She was the youngest of 11 children and was born on Yom
Kippur, the holiest day of the Hebrew calendar. In a home where her mother encouraged critical
thinking, She was a very gifted child who enjoyed learning, greatly admired her mother s strong
religious faith. Father of Edith, who ran a timber business, died when she had only just turned
two. Her mother, a very devout, hard working, strong willed and truly wonderful woman, now had
to fend for herself and to look after the family and their large business. Edith Stein from her
earliest years showed a great aptitude for learning, and by the time of the outbreak of World... Show

In 1915, she took lessons to become an assistant of nursing and worked in a hospital for the
prevention of disease outbreaks. After completing her doctoral thesis in 1916 from the
University of Göttingen, she obtained an assistantship at the University of Freiburg. Work I no
longer have a life of my own, she wrote at the beginning of the First World War, having done a
nursing course and gone to serve in an Austrian field hospital. When the hospital was dissolved,
in 1916, she followed Husserl as his assistant to the German city of Freiburg, after writing a thesis
on The Problem of Empathy. During this period she went to Frankfurt Cathedral and saw a
woman with a shopping basket going in to kneel for a brief prayer. This was something totally new
to me. In the synagogues and Protestant churches I had visited people simply went to the services.
Here, however, I saw someone coming straight from the busy marketplace into this empty church,
as if she was going to have an intimate conversation. It was something I never forgot.

Story Of An Hour Irony
Kate Chopin is an American author who composed The Story of an Hour in 1894. The story
depicts a period in time, specifically an hour, when Mrs Mallard experiences a plethora of
emotions after receiving the news of her husband s death. After having time to cope and reflect to
herself while in her room, ironically, Mrs Mallard was pleased with her husband s sudden
departure. Furthermore, she eventually died of heart diseaseafter realizing her husband was in fact
alive. Chopin s incorporation of literary elements such as foreshadowing and irony fostered my
engagement in the story and my understanding. Knowing that Mrs. Mallard was afflicted with a
heart trouble, great care was taken to break her as gently as possible the news of her husband s death
(201) foreshadowed that something tragic was going to occur later in the story which was Louise s
death since the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, There was something coming to her and she was waiting for it, fearfully (202) foreshadows
her new found freedom from her marriage. In addition to foreshadowing, situational irony was
present in the story as well. When the doctors came they said she had died of heart disease of joy
that kills (203) which is ironic because after all the false accusations of Louise s husband s death,
she ended up dying instead. I perceived this story to be quite interesting because I could not
understand how Louise could be content with her husband s death if she truly loved him.
From my perspective, I do not perceive Louise s love for her husband to be genuine. What could
love, the unsolved mystery, count for in the face of this possession of self assertion which she
suddenly recognized as the strongest impulse of her being (202) serves as evidence that Louise did
not cherish her memories with her husband, but yearned for and valued her independence.
Considering, this story was published during a time frame when women s rights were suppressed.
Women were treated as property of their male counterparts in the

Generation 3 Research Paper
In Generation 3, we can see there is different pairs of color dot in the sexual experiment which
produced different color dots than the original one. For example, the same 2 color dot can
produce different color offspring, as the chart above, two lime produces 2 cream 4 lime and 2
brown. In Asexual chart, the color of parent can only reproduce 1 type of offspring, because they
reproduce as single, and there is no diversity in each individual. Thus, Sexual reproductionhas more
diversity than Asexual reproduction. Asexual reproduce from single parent, there is no way to
reproduce variation, they are the individuals that have to same DNA from their parent, their traits
are the same automatically. In other hands, There are 2 parents reproduce offspring in Sexual
reproduction. Their offspring is combine with the sperm and egg from the parents, and the sperm
and egg include different chromosomes which has two different traits from the maleparents and the
female parents, then the offspring include some traits from the male parents and some from the
female. Over time, the offspring... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While we put both lime color and green color dots on the cream habitat, they both look obvious.
But while some of the dots were spread (hide) in the insect, lime color will look obvious,
therefore the predator can easily catch the lighter green dots. So how many dots survive in the
two color depends on where they hide in. If lime and green color dots are both hide in cream
habitat, in the contrast, lime color dots will have less opportunity to be caught. In the contrary, if
both color hides in the dark color insects, the chance of lime being eaten will increase. For
instance, we put two insects in the dessert, one is lime grass hopper, the other is the green beetle.
When the beetle is on the cream color sand, the predator can see it easily, but if we put it on the
trunk, neither we nor the predators can see it

Kabbalah Centre Research Paper
When Madonna started studying the Kabbalah Centre in Los Angeles, all of a sudden, other non
Jewish celebrities started showing up in droves, with some even converting to Judaism in the
process. Elizabeth Taylor took the ideas she studied at the Kabbalah Centre to heart and
converted, becoming an advocate for Israel. Several celebrities have said that Kabbalistic
teachings bring them clarity and helps cope with Hollywood s stresses, however, there are
always a few who show up because it is trendy, they seek publicity or they are shopping for
spirituality. Britany Spears for example, appeared less than sincere, which prompted criticism from
Orthodox Jews, who resented the Kabbalah Centre s policy of allowing gentiles to study Kabbalah.
The late Rabbi Philip Berg, however, saw no point in denying anyone spiritual wisdom, if they used
what they learned to help them reach their full potential.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, online classes serve individuals who don t live near a branch. Study options include
non scholarly classes for individuals who seek practical tools to make their life better or
advanced classes for intermediate students. The Kabbalah Centre s draw is that it takes esoteric
principals and makes them relevant to people s everyday lives. One of the first principles they
teach is that the ego causes problems because it encourages people to believe they are separate
from others. When students at the Kabbalah Centre learn to act for the benefit of others, they
connect with the light, which allows them to experience fulfillment. It s easy to see why celebrities
would find this aspect of the Kabbalah Centre

  • 3. 7 Prayers Of Jesus Research Paper What do you learn by reading several of the twenty seven prayers of Jesus? There is a lot to be learned when reading Jesus prayers. It s also worthy to note as a reader I don t just look at the verse that was the prayer, bur also look before and after. I find reading the context the prayer was developed around is very important. I will start off my reviewing several prayers I have chosen from the list and give you what I learned and in the end summarize my thoughts. Starting with Hebrews 2:12, Jesus prays to the Lord and states that he will proclaim his name to the community. He states, in the midst of congregation I will praise you . That line really stands out to me and makes me think, why does Jesus the Son of God pray to himself? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are many different genres in the Bible. More so there are tons of prayer going in the Bible that fit into different genres. Looking at different literary literary devices that encompasses genre we can begin to see how prayer really is a genre and what distinguishes it as such. Jesus tells us how to pray. [Matthew 6:9 13] This is an example of technique which fits into what makes prayer a genre. Jesus was showing how prayer should be done specifically. There is also different historical time frames in regards to prayer. Looking at how Abraham prayed in Genesis 18 to how Jonah prayed in Jonah 2 you can see a major difference in the times. Looking at Jonah 2, you can see that Jonah s prayer to God is a Psalm. Jonah uses metaphors throughout this prayer. Going back to Abraham s prayer he is speaking with no metaphors or figurative language to God. This is very important because the differences is what makes prayer have different genres. Different tones in prayer are heard as well, from when Jesus was begging God to not to kill him on the cross [Matthew 26:39] to Jesus in a much joyful tone as he rejoices. [Luke 10:21] Not only tone sets a genre but so does the content of the prayer which changes from character to character in the Bible. Literature Review On Evidence Based Practice Main Question Post: Discussion 10 Introduction Evidence based practice (EBP) offers a framework utilization of systematic high quality research, an analysis which consistently enhances measurable client outcome and clinical decision making grounded in rationality; EBP depends on data collected through experimental research and accounts for individual client characteristics and clinician expertise. The potential benefits of EBP comprise of increased service delivery and quality of care, heightened accountability, and a bridging of the research practice gap (Sackett, Straus, Richardson, Rosenberg, Haynes, 2000). • 5. Rituximab Case Study Various mechanisms for the action of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) have been identified: п‚ћComplement directed cytotoxicity (CDC): The mAbs bind to antigen on the cell surface and exposes their binding sites for proteins. These proteins initiate the complement cascade and trigger the release of chemotactic factors and the formation of the membrane attack complex, which promotes target cell lysis. Rituximab shows this activity. п‚ћADCC mediated adaptive immunity: MAbs bind to antigen on the tumour cell surface, providing the target for Fc receptors on the surface of natural killer (NK) cells. Cross linking of receptors with mAbs triggers release of perforin and granzymes from NK cell that lyse the tumour cell. Cell debris is taken up by antigen presenting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The drugs targeting on immune checkpoint have demonstrated higher response rates and prolonged overall survival in cancer patients, as suggested by clinical cases. PD 1 is a checkpoint protein on immune cells called T cells. It normally acts as a type of off switch that helps keep the T cells from attacking other cells in the body. It does this when it attaches to PD L1, a protein on some normal (and cancer) cells. When PD 1 binds to PD L1, it basically tells the T cell to leave the other cell alone. Some cancer cells have large amounts of PD L1, which helps them evade immune attack. CTLA 4 is another protein on some T cells that acts as a type of off switch to keep the immune system in check. These two proteins are major target for anti tumour mAbs under development. Pembrolizumab: approved by EU and US in 2015 and 2014. Gives treat on melanoma. It targets on programmed cell death 1 receptor (PD 1). PD 1 receptor protein down regulate the immune system by preventing activation of T cells. Pembrolizumab blocks the inhibitory ligand of PD 1, reduce the PD 1 function and therefore activates more T cells. Research suggested that cytotoxic T cells are more susceptible to be inhibited by PD 1, hence TC become more activated when Pembrolizumab is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Introduction of the Cut Throat Institutions of Western... What many considered the modernization of China was actually China s introduction to the cut throat institutions of western capitalism, foreign policy, and western imperialism. China for centuries had dealt with foreigners on its own understanding of foreign policy called the tribute system which maintain the idea that outside nations would be submissive to Chinaauthority as a sign of respect to the Emperor because China was seen as the most advance country in the world and in recognition of the heavenly mandate. The tribute system was mostly used between China and nomadic Asian tribes as a form of peace negotiations. Later when western influences came to China to trade, China developed the Canton system as a way to strictly control foreign trade with the western European nations (mostly England). In the 19th century the Qing dynastyexperienced a decline. A series of peasant rebellions (Taiping rebellion 1851 1864 C.E, Miao rebellions), poor central administration, and a drastic growth in population left the Qing government vulnerable to the European s superior military power. England tired of the strict regulation of the Canton system, what they believed to be the Chinese undeserved entitled attitudes, and the need for new markets, used gun diplomacy to force China to accept unequal treaties and open its foreign trade. This was China s introduction to modernity , but in truth it was the imperial nations craving up of China for their benefit and labeling it as bringing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. Role Of Investment And Commercial Banks Play On The Global... Introduction: This paper will examine the roles that investment and commercial banks play in creating and predicting systemic risk in the global economy. This topic is of particular relevance due to the events that unfolded in the economic sphere nearly a decade ago during the financial crisis of 2007 2008. Our study will provide a detailed rendering of the crisis, outlining each of the key factors that contributed to the crash in an attempt to gain a better understanding of what happened and how to avoid similar events from unfolding in the future. Much of our study hinges on the role of banks on the markets and their influence over global systemic risk. In order to establish a link between bank prices and economic trends, we will focus our analysis on one key metric, Value at Risk (VaR). A powerful statistical measurement, VaR is used to assess a firm s potential loss over a certain period of time. To generate a diversified and complete quantitative analysis, our calculation will incorporate pricing data from January 1st, 2000 to November 30th, 2016 of eleven of the most prevalent banks in the US financial system: Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Citi Bank, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JP Morgan, Royal Bank of Canada, UBS, and Wells Fargo. Bort, in his essay Winesburg, Ohio: The Escape from Isolation, briefly examines the characters in many of the short stories included in Winesburg as they fail to both understand each other and to connect with other members of the town. Working chronologically, Bort specifically mentions: The Book of the Grotesques, Hands, Paper Pills, Godliness, Adventure, and Tandy pointing to their contribution to the major themes of Winesburg, Ohio. He begins his analysis comparing Hands and Paper Pills as he asserts that their relationship is central to Anderson s message. He applies each example to this pair of stories with opposing representations of isolation, and in the end, relates the structure and content of the collection of stories to his conclusion about the true nature of the book being the description of what Anderson calls significant moments. Bort s essay is made up largely of summaries of each story, and though this may be effective in illustrating his argument, the amount of quotation used is excessive to one who has read the collection beforehand. Additionally, Bort provides several examples of his points to the point of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 18. The Importance Of Communication As An Effective Communication Directors it is important that it is done so in a formal manner. Any information that is given to them must be based on factual evidence rather than just opinion. This means when making recommendations, evidence needs to be given to support it, whether this be by including changes to statutory, local authorities or governing bodies requirements for the running of the home. Evidence may also be submitted in the form of a report formulated by myself, which would include different research methodologies to support my findings. Communicationis largely face to face, or via email. Sales Representatives Contact with sales representatives always warrants formal communication. This is because they are often precursors to a business contract occurring. It is therefore important that communication is clear and there is full understanding by both parties. 1.2 EXPLAIN HOW TO SUPPORT EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION WITHIN OWN JOB ROLE. Katz (1955) suggests that what he refers to as human skills determine how effectively we are able to work with people. Communication is an essential factor in achieving this. Skills for Care (2006) also identified communication as an important factor in effective leadership and management. Education In Underdeveloped Countries Essay Tiara Agee Montgomery English 1101 September 21, 2014 Education in Underprivileged Countries Nelson Mandela once said, Education is the most powerful weapon that can be used to change the world. He was right; an education can provide great opportunities for people. American children have the chance to receive a quality education, but that is not the case in some countries. In underprivileged countries, children may not receive an education. In the natural photograph taken in 2009 by American Press photographer Altaf Qadr, Rajeesh Kumar Sharma has started a free school under a bridge in India to educate underprivileged children living in surrounding neighborhoods. Most children in America will never have to experience a situation like this because the government has passed laws to guarantee every child receives a quality education, but what if the government did not regulate education laws? Imagine the children of the United States having to miss school because of household duties or cultural influences? These are common scenarios for children in underdeveloped countries. Inadequate government funding, household duties, and cultural influences affect whether or not a child receives a valuable education in an underprivileged country. When governments lack the finances to fund a proper school, children will not receive a quality education. In this film, he sets out a goal to prove that Mc Donald s is very bad for you. To prove that he eats a different meal from their menu three times a day for thirty days. He demonstrated techniques that made him very convincing to the audience. Some of the major techniques he used were the use of many facts/statistics, the audience trusting him, and interviewing people that are living with health issues from fast food. Instead of showing you the statistics on paper he did it himself and that right there is out of the ordinary. Risked his life to show his point and he sure did prove his point. Morgan used many facts and statistics throughout this film. A certain part of the documentary he shows the audience how affecting advertising is to children. When a Christian committed a sin, the first step to have his sins forgiven is contrition, which was truly feeling remorse for committing the sin. The second stage was Confession, in which the sinner would confess to the community of his sins. This would strengthen the relationship between the sinner and the community. • 27. Analysis Of Storm Warnings By Adrienne Rich No storm is experienced the same. Seeing a storm on the horizon has the power to stir up gripping memories, introspective thoughts, and convoluted emotions. The poem Storm Warnings , by Adrienne Rich, applies a predictable structure paired with flowing syntax, and ambiguous diction speaking both of weather and emotions to illustrate that one cannot avoid the tribulations of life, embodied as the approaching storm, but instead prepare for their arrival. Storm Warnings, true to its literal subject matter, possesses flowy sweeping syntax created by the strategic use of commas and phrasing to draw parallels between the physical oncoming winds and the gales of life. The author crafts a long run on sentence that spans the first stanza and carries on into the latter portion of the second to mirror the continuous flowing of windy weather and the forward motion of life. Once the speaker notices the brewing storm, they walk from window to closed window, watching boughs strain against the sky. In this portion of the affromented run on sentence, alliteration, rhythm, and the repetition of words all contribute to the impression of movement. The various w sounds at the beginnings of words and the repetition of the word window create a sensation of continuously flowing forward, especially when read aloud; the comma adds a small swirling pause to the rhythm, which is then soon after resumed with the word watching. Just as the poem rhythmically moves forward with its long phrases connected with frequent commas, so must life carry on with each additional experience, whether it be misfortunes or joys. The elongated syntax allows all these elements to work together within sentences to highlight the similarities between physical storms and emotional struggle and to stress the inevitability of predicaments in life. Despite the flowing syntax, the poem has a clear and predictable structure to replicate the persona s calm familiarity with experiencing and answering to storms in their life. It is interesting to note that even though parlous weather is on its way, there is a lack of panic, chaos, and anomalies in the structure of the poem. There continues to be seven lines in each stanza throughout the piece; ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

(Shukla) The doctrine of separation of power is not followed in England, it follows a parliamentary form of government where the parliament is supreme. Instead of crown that is the nominal head, the cabinet calls the shots on most of the matters. (Peterson) Civil Criminal Law: Under the Civil Law system, the laws are written and codified that the judges have to follow verbatium. Whereas, under the common law system that is followed by Australia, India and the United Kingdom, the laws are codified, doctrine of precedents is followed but the higher courts have the power to over rule old judgements and existing law in cases where the law breaches the basic structure. • 39. How Does Water Teach Siddhartha Siddhartha is taught not by Buddha, but by the behavior and the movement of the water that surrounds him. The motion and life likeness of water can be classified as an important symbol in Buddhist thinking. Water to Siddhartha and his mentor, Vasudeva, is not just something for them to ferry people across, but a teacher to help them understand the way life works. The water taught Siddharthamany things but most importantly it taught him to live in the present, that the past always comes back, and that life is transitory. First, when Siddhartha comes to Vasudeva and is taught in the way of a ferry man, the water teaches him that there is no time. Before coming to Vasudeva, Siddhartha kept changing what he wanted to learn from, each not being... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It symbolizes how in Buddhism the now is perfect, that everything comes back to you, and in life you have to go through many things to gain different aspects of a whole. In Buddhism the world is perfect how it is not, just like how water teaches Siddhartha that the now is good and he should live in the present not the past or the future. In Buddhism it also states that everything come backs to you, just like the water telling Siddhartha that his past will always come back even if he lives in the present, it will always come back to him. The water also teaches Siddhartha the importance of how life is transitory, or not permanent. It teaches Siddhartha this because Siddhartha goes through many journeys not just one, and is telling him that life will not stop after you finish your journey but keep going, just as water does. In Buddhism it s the same thing because life keeps going and you are always in a constant state of journeying to achieve parts of a whole, enlightenment. The water is a symbol in Buddhist thinking because it teaches the exact things Buddhism does. • 40. The Depression Of Manic Depression For my research paper, I decided to look into Manic Depression. I have chosen to write about this topic because I have been personally dealing with this disorder since about eight years old. Manic Depression is usually referred to as Bipolar Disorder, but when I tell someone that I am Bipolar, they just think that it means I get angry easily. People seem to take me more seriously when I refer to it as Manic Depression. I used to have to take a wide variety of medications and go to counseling when I was younger because I was having struggles with suicidal urges. Recently it has gotten significantly worse since the death of my father due to a stroke in 2012. This is a very serious topic for me because it has made and will continue to make my life more difficult than it needs to be. Manic Depression first started to get looked into in Greece during the 1st century by Aretaeus of Cappadocia. The research he did was not acknowledged for many centuries after. The terms manic and depressive come from the ancient Greek terms mania and melancholia. The ancient Greeks and Romans learned that lithium could be used to treat the manically depressed people by bathing with lithium salt. In this era, it was very common for the deeply religious dogma of the time to execute people that suffered from bipolar disorder or any other mental disorders. During the 17th century, a book named The Anatomy of Melancholy was written by Robert Burton. The book covered different forms of treatment for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 41. Example Of Personal Narrative Essay In Spanish When I first stepped onto the tarmac, I was apprehensive and excited, gazing at the indigo mountains of the Montserrat in amazement, and as I turned to follow the rest of the passengers to the terminal, I promptly tripped on my suitcase and went sprawling. I traveled to Barcelona, Spain last July to help a family teach their daughter English and to discover a whole new world I d never experienced before. The trip was a whirlwind of tapas and teaching, with several bike rides to the beach dispersed throughout. Three weeks after my arrival, I was conversing in fluent Spanish to a cheerful stranger after being tumbled by a rogue Mediterranean wave. Strands of seaweed and pearly white grains of sand adorned my hair. My nose and cheeks were burned a deep pink. My left knee sluggishly bled crimson, and I had never felt more beautiful. I felt comfortable in my skin, and no longer had the nagging fears I felt at home before I left. My transition from childhood into adulthood was not a graceful glide from one to the next, but instead a jarring fall. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I was raised in the little town of Carmel by the Sea, and by the age of 17 I needed to see the outside world, to experience different cultures, and to meet new people. I dreamed of talking to Greek philosophers or Japanese fishermen, and I worked to make my dream a reality. After all the arrangements, I found myself on a jet plane with a letter of recommendation for my host family in the pocket of my favorite navy blue hoodie. For the first time in my life, a sweeping ocean physically separated me from my friends and family, and I was living with strangers. It was frightening, but that didn t stop me. • 42. Concussions In Youth Hockey New rules that are implemented resulting in less penalty minutes for aggressive play (Mick). These rules are extremely important in youth hockey, bantams especially. The bantam age group is the age most boys start growing and get more muscular and more prone to aggressive play. This can cause tremendous injury to a player if one does not think before he hits another player. Many of the players do not understand how dangerous these acts really can be. The human body is not invincible, although many think they are. The increase of body checking rules has decreased the injuries that usually come from these hits about three to twelve times lower. Fifteen percent of the injuries resulting from a body check are concussions (Mick). Concussions are... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hockey is a fast paced sport with little time to react or prepare for a hit correctly. The knowledge of knowing how to take a hit is just as important on how to distribute a hit. Both can cause significant harm to both players if not done right. The biggest rule to follow when you are about to get hit is to have a low base. This means to have your knees bent at about ninety or so degrees and to put most of your weight on the ball of your foot. This way your center of gravity is lower and you have more balance. This also protects more of your limbs from getting hit. As opposed to standing up with makes you unbalanced and prone to worse injuries. Another crucial part of the game is how you give a hit. Many clinics have been set up to show how to properly hit, but boys tend to ignore the rules and just try to hit someone has hard as they can. This is why during practice during the regular season it should be practiced on at least once every week or two weeks. But even the knowledge of how to hit and how to take a hit isn t enough. Proper stretching and strength training has proven to strengthen muscles and to allow flexibility and decrease injuries (Mick). More players should take advantage of doing a full, warm up before a game. This decreases chance of injury while also increasing the performance of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 44. Story Of An Hour Irony Kate Chopin is an American author who composed The Story of an Hour in 1894. The story depicts a period in time, specifically an hour, when Mrs Mallard experiences a plethora of emotions after receiving the news of her husband s death. After having time to cope and reflect to herself while in her room, ironically, Mrs Mallard was pleased with her husband s sudden departure. Furthermore, she eventually died of heart diseaseafter realizing her husband was in fact alive. Chopin s incorporation of literary elements such as foreshadowing and irony fostered my engagement in the story and my understanding. Knowing that Mrs. Mallard was afflicted with a heart trouble, great care was taken to break her as gently as possible the news of her husband s death (201) foreshadowed that something tragic was going to occur later in the story which was Louise s death since the... In addition to foreshadowing, situational irony was present in the story as well. When the doctors came they said she had died of heart disease of joy that kills (203) which is ironic because after all the false accusations of Louise s husband s death, she ended up dying instead. I perceived this story to be quite interesting because I could not understand how Louise could be content with her husband s death if she truly loved him. From my perspective, I do not perceive Louise s love for her husband to be genuine. What could love, the unsolved mystery, count for in the face of this possession of self assertion which she suddenly recognized as the strongest impulse of her being (202) serves as evidence that Louise did not cherish her memories with her husband, but yearned for and valued her independence. For example, the same 2 color dot can produce different color offspring, as the chart above, two lime produces 2 cream 4 lime and 2 brown. In Asexual chart, the color of parent can only reproduce 1 type of offspring, because they reproduce as single, and there is no diversity in each individual. Thus, Sexual reproductionhas more diversity than Asexual reproduction. Asexual reproduce from single parent, there is no way to reproduce variation, they are the individuals that have to same DNA from their parent, their traits are the same automatically. If lime and green color dots are both hide in cream habitat, in the contrast, lime color dots will have less opportunity to be caught. In the contrary, if both color hides in the dark color insects, the chance of lime being eaten will increase. Several celebrities have said that Kabbalistic teachings bring them clarity and helps cope with Hollywood s stresses, however, there are always a few who show up because it is trendy, they seek publicity or they are shopping for spirituality. Britany Spears for example, appeared less than sincere, which prompted criticism from Orthodox Jews, who resented the Kabbalah Centre s policy of allowing gentiles to study Kabbalah.
