The Holy One of Israel in Isaiah
The Holy One of Israel This essay concerns about the meaning of the divine title The Holy One of
Israel in the Book of Isaiah. It is going to state clearly the study approach before going into the
discussion.
Approach of this essay
The book of Isaiah had been studied through different approaches of which three are quite
distinctive[1].
(1) A pre critical, or traditional, understanding, still found in some conservative scholars. They keep
the entire book of Isaiah connected to the prophet Isaiah of the eighth century B.C.E. There is nothing
intrinsically impossible as the approach is prophecy . With the rise of historical criticism , such an
approach has been commonly rejected in the interpretive world.
(2) A critical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Israel acquires holiness by being obedient to God s commandments and faithful to His covenant (Lev
11:44; Deut 28:9)[4]. The concept of holiness permeates the life of Israel. Even the land occupied by
the people is considered holy (Zech 2:12). The capital city Jerusalem is designated as the city of God,
the holy habitation of the Most High (Ps 46:4).
The Holy One of Israel
The term The Holy One of Israel reflects the dialectical relation between The Holy One and Israel . It
is a relation with the Holy One with a non holy entity[5]. The Holy One requires Israel to be holy. Be
holy because I, the Lord Your God, am holy (Lev 19:2). The separate one becomes the attached one.
Their relation is bound by covenant. The challenge of the relation is Israel s unfaithfulness in
worshipping other god s. The most notable example is the imposition of Baal worship on the northern
kingdom by Ahab s marriage to Jezebel. Both the northern and the southern kingdoms suffered
captivity. Any rebellious from Israel side causes discipline from The Holy One side. Exile from Israel
causes In the midst from the other, punishment causes redemption , go astray causes teaches and leads
etc. In the Book of Isaiah, the Holy One is the Lord, God. The Lord has passion. He is angry at Israel
who rejects His laws (5:24; 31:1) but His compassion is good news more directly for the powerless
(29:19). He is the Creator of Israel (43:15), the Maker of this nation (17:7;

How To Be Better If School Start Later
I am sending this to you, because I go to school myself. I always am so tired throughout the day. I am
mostly tired in the morning and late afternoon though. This might be different if school started later.
This would allow me to stay up later at night to do homework, and get more sleep to be awake for the
next day. I could then pay more attention in class, be more awake all day, and feel better during and
after school. If I were to pay attention more in class it would help me get better grades, which would
get me into good schools, and eventually a good job. That is one reason why it would be better if
school started later. Another would be, if I were to be more awake all day not only would it help me
during school, but my activities would

Discussion Forum Questions
This class so far to me has been a learning experience. Theory wasn t always a strong point for me, but
as the semester moves forward, I see myself getting better at grasping the concepts. The Discussion
Forum Questions are useful in the fact that it furthers my knowledge in theory and what we are
learning that week. I get to see how other people are thinking about theory. It gives me the opportunity
to compare and contrast my thinking to their thinking. All of my postings have been up by Tuesday
because I want to give my classmates appropriate time to make comments. I try to put thorough
thought into my discussion posts, and use references to back my posts up. I also try to respond to my
peer s postings in a timely manner. I feel overall when providing responses to the assigned Discussion
Forum Questions that I do well and deserve a 1/1 in this section. ... Show more content on

I read the assigned readings, and then I think about this content is used in my every day life and
nursing practice. I have learned a lot about theory up to this point, and I guess didn t realize how much
it is used in my nursing career. Since taking this class, I try to critically think about theory when I am
at work with my patients. For example, I think about the theorists and their theories we just learned
about and relate that theory to my patients. I try to critically think about the best EBP, and apply to my
posts since we use EBP every day in nursing. I try my best to critically think, give appropriate
examples in my posts, and have the research to back my posts up. I am still learning about theory, and
I try my best to critically think, but I feel I still have some room for improvement. I think I would give
myself a 1.75/2 for this

Obesity In The Film, Super Size Me
In a movie Super Size me the narrator insinuates that America is the number one fattest country
(SuperSizeMe). Obesity has increased over years because fast food restaurants have populated towns
and cities. In many towns there is up to three McDonalds or even more and that us just McDonalds.
The amount of fat foods in the menu out weight the healthy options and even after that the healthier
meals are the most expensive. So many people do not understand the importance of having a healthy
diet. A year and a half I decided to make the choice to change my way of eating and I couldn t be any
more proud of myself for doing it. A few positive aspects of my overall dietary intake were having
meals that were not very heavy and not containing to

Carpal Tunnel

Anatomy Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common condition that affects the hand and wrist. It happens
when too much pressure is put on the median nerve. The median nerve runs through a structure at the
wrist called the carpal tunnel, which is where the syndrome gets its name. Sometimes the carpal tunnel
(which is made up of the carpal bones and the transverse ligament) will narrow, due to swelling, and
that is how the median nerve gets squeezed. This condition is usually progressive (it will continue to
get worse over time) and the symptoms involve numbness and pain in the wrist and hand. Sometimes
the pain will also spread up into the arm (Sartore).

Receiving support form coworkers can reassure a professional that they are doing a great job and they
are needed to make a difference in someone life. A coworker can offer encouraging words. Knowing
that promotions are available, this will make the professionals want to work harder and not become
stressed or burnout. These wellness strategies can be applied in the human service field by forming
coworkers support groups and by placing promotion opportunities on a board that is visible to all
professionals. Staff burnout is debilitating to workers, costly to agencies, and detrimental to clients
(Shinn, Morch, Chestnut, 1984, p. 864) so there should be many wellness strategies that is offered by
the agency to prevent staff burnout. In conclusion, human service professionals may help client s
access services or may provide services directly to clients. Working in the human service profession
can call for special efforts and require professionals with skills and characteristics that make them
effective. They are involved in advocacy and policy development because of their engagement with
human conditions.

Negative Effects Of Child Labour
Child Labour is a plague to society and the future of humanity if this continues. Child Labour
negatively impacts the future in various ways. The first being that it increases the rate of poverty
because children do not get paid significantly less, adults lose their jobs to children and the children
because children are easier to manipulate do not get the knowledge they need to attain better lifestyles.
The second reason it regresses the growth of society by having child labourers grow up without the
knowledge they need, Their ignorance of their rights and the growth of their families. Finally, child
labour negatively impacts society because of the effects on children themselves. Hurting them
physically, psychologically and depriving them ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So they make the children think that what they are getting paid is significant and make them do very
dangerous task that could kill them, if they ever try to refuse the employer would just threaten them or
harass them in the end helping line the pockets for the employer and increasing poverty. Ultimately,
adults lose jobs because of child labour. Children, as stated in the Ethical Trading Initiative are
cheaper to pay... [and] less likely to complain than adults ( A Global, n.d.). This states that children are
less likely to question what they are doing for whatever money they can get and although there are
child labour rights they are not strict enough for employers to care. Whereas adults have way more
rights, can and will most likely try to fight against unfair working conditions and need to be paid more
leading most employers to lay off more adult workers in favour of child labourers which in return
reduce the amount of income for already poor families. In conclusion, child labour increase the
amount of poverty in society by having children get paid less, children unable to fight back and the
decrease of adult employment.
Secondly, Child labour helps regress society and stops it from growing by having Child labourers

Calvinism And Religion Summary
Abraham Kuyper goes on to continue making his point about how Calvinism is a life system through
his second lecture titled Calvinism and Religion. Even the title alone strongly makes this point in the
way that it implies that Calvinism and religion are not synonymous. It almost feels like Kuyper is
pushing this chapter s main idea that Calvinism holds a dominant and impressive position in the
domain of religion by using dramatic language that insinuates the bragging that Calvinism is better
than everything else. For example, on page 42, Kuyper says, ...look at the giant spirit of Calvin, who,
in the sixteenth century, with one master stroke, placed before the gaze of the astonished word an
entire religious edifice, erected in the purest Scriptural style. It is clear that Kuyper is trying very hard
to defend Calvinism against the vile enemies of Rationalism, Materialism, mysticism, and modernism.
However, I do like the sentence after the prior criticized quote, which gracefully justifies the
vulnerabilities of Calvinism by saying, So rapidly was the whole building completed that most of the
spectators forgot to pay attention to the wonderful structure of its foundations. Kuyper then sets off to
outline these structures of Calvinism s religious foundations with three answers to the question of
what was the secret to Calvinism s religious energy. The first of his three answers involves exploring
the concept of Religion as such, using an abundance of italicizing. This

Mistreatment And Vandalizing In San Jose
Today in our community the public parks that we have around some of the parks are being mistreated

needs the money from residents that live in the city of San Jose to fix up those parks that are being
mistreated by some of the residents. Me growing up in the Eastside part of the city of San Jose some

Analysis of Transcript
Analysis of Transcript Young Ones Introduction: I have chosen to analyse the beginning of the first
episode in the first series of the 80 s TV comedy The Young Ones . This particular text appeals to me
because it is important in how it introduces the characters, as this is the first time the audience ever
meet them. Relative Status: Rick and Neil are both students living in the same house; therefore their
status should be equal though both are striving for dominance. Rick is defiantly the more dominant of
the two, due to his extrovert personality. Both characters are self centred, for instance, at the beginning
of the scene; Neil delivers a monologue where he talks about himself ... Show more content on
Helpwriting.net ...
This is denoted by the way Neil talks to himself or arguably the audience, about what is going on. His
frequent use of fillers such as right and like emphasize the chatty, personal speech and helps make a
scripted conversation flow like a natural one. These fillers also make Neil more real and human; this
helps the audience to relate to him. This is especially important as the character of Neil is arguably
there to be sympathised with. When Rick is discussing his poem about Cliff Richard, Neil is talking
about how he is going to kill himself, this is an attempt to change the topic of conversation, however
he fails as Rick is the dominant speaker. Thus, two separate conversations run parallel with each other.
Lexis: The lexis within my transcript is informal, conversational and often colloquial. For example
words such as eh , huh , yeah and gonna are examples of conversational lexis. There are also examples
of clichéd hippy lexis used by Neil, such as man , heavy , karma and suss out , these form the semantic
field of spiritualists, which reinforce stereotypical ideas about students and hippies . Rick s poem
displays many typical features of a poem, with the use of rhyme and repetition. For example, the
rhyming of as if and a cliff immediately allows the audience to recognise that it is a poem. The poem

Remember The Most Important Day Of The Day
It was a cold Friday morning in suburbia when Nancy had woken up to a loud drilling across the
street. There were children rushing to school with their bags weighing them down and parents on their
mobile phones trying to explain to their coworkers why they were running late. It looked like a
somewhat normal end to the week.
As Nancy pulled back the curtain, she saw a builder bent over drilling into the pavement with his
crack on show. She sighed and laid back down. It was only until Nancy looked towards the poster
across the room of the Hocus Pocus movie that it suddenly dawned on her. She smiled as she
remembered it was Halloween! How did she forget? How did she not remember the most important
day of the year? Jumping up with excitement Nancy head toward the cupboard next to the poster
where her wand was and chuckled TODAY IS THE DAY!
What was the day and what was going to happen? Nancy was known to be a grumpy thirty five year
old living in the suburbs of New York. She wasn t well known however she was known for her
inability to exchange pleasantries in the neighbourhood.
Nancy got downstairs and found a stack of things to do. She was a housewife. Her husband was a
corporate boss working in the city and she was the stay at home wife. This was by choice so she could
work her magic during the day and while he was asleep at night. Lately things seemed to be dreary in
the Brown household. Her husband Quinn would sleep in their bed while Nancy would stay

Theme Of The Wife Of His Youth
The Wife of His Youth is an 1898 historical fiction short story by author Charles W. Chesnutt. Charles
Chestnutt is the first African American writer to use folklore in series literature. He was born in
Cleveland, Ohio on June 20, 1858, but spent most of his childhood in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Growing up in the south had a lasting impact on him, in that it furnished rich material for his fiction.
Therefore, it is not surprising that Chestnutt s characters, settings, scenes and institutions reflect North
Carolina s culture. As a creative writer blossoming in the 1880s, Chesnutt believed that he could use
folklore to stem the tide of racist thinking depicted by the plantation school writers, such as Thomas
Nelson Page and others, who wrote of slavery as a benevolent system. However, by 1905, Chestnutt
realized that fiction was not the route to bring America around to treating African Americans with the
same respect as whites. Consequently, with this realization Chestnutt became a fighter against
discrimination with his voice. He made speeches and wrote essays against all kinds of discrimination
(Young). In his short story The Wife of His Youth , Chesnutt combines the themes of racial identity
and colorism to create the conflict at the center of the story. The prose introduces the readers to a man

Intrinsic Value Essay
Intrinsic value is traditionally defined as value that something has in itself and in its own right
(Zimmerman, 2014). For such reason, rational moral agents have a moral obligation to preserve the
biosphere because animals and plants have an intrinsic value. I understand a counter argument of mine
is that plants and animals are used instrumentally by rational moral agents, entirely for pleasure which
is unnecessary. Extrinsic value is described as something valuable which can be put to use
instrumentally (Zimmerman, 2014). It is said that what has intrinsic value has ultimate moral value
(Woods, 2010). There are also four main interpretations which includes intrinsic value to be of a non
instrumental value, morally considerable, flourishing of its nature, and the value which is independent
on the valuation of valuers (Woods, 2010, pg. 2). It is morally correct that the pleasure of humans
should not override the interests and rights of animals and plants, merely must be considered equal
(Freya, 2010). It is obvious plants and animals have inherent worth and are members of the earths
community. For this reason, rational moral agents must not discriminate any entity and must be
realised as intrinsically valuable. As rational moral agents and stewards of the biosphere, it is our
obligation to respectfully prolong the survival of plants and animals as derived from the evolutionary
similarity and the meaning and purpose of humans to protect the fabric of the world (Freya, 2010).

T. Edge s Essay I M Not Leaving Until I Eat This Thing
John T. Edge s observational essay, I m Not Leaving Until I Eat This Thing, recounts an experience
trying an exotic food, pig lips. Edge takes the reader through his roller coaster of emotions, while
informing about how the pig lips are produced and packaged. Edge has inspired me to share my
experience eating an exotic food.
As my parents and I entered a lively, seafood restaurant, on a late Friday night, I studied the room like
a textbook. The paintings of fish and steering wheels on the walls made the restaurant resemble a
pirate ship. The odor of fried food and grease filled my nose, while the sound of chaos filled my ears.
The sweltering, humid air felt like a rain forest. This was not a very sophisticated restaurant, it was a
local joint, with informally dressed people. Once we were seated, I immediately started flipping
through the menu. As I examined the colorful pages, I sat in disbelief. There was absolutely nothing

Although alligator is not exotic for most, I was terrified of reptiles as a young child. Alligators,
crocodiles, and snakes were the essence of my nightmares. I could feel my feet trembling against the
floor, and cold sweat running down my face. For once in my life, I wanted to wait for my food.
However, that was not the case, as the meal was served in almost seconds. I also felt very pressured,
because my parents were irritated with me. I had been irksome all night, and I did want to infuriate
them more. Similar to Edge, I had to eat this

Deforestation of Our Rainforests
The most destructive and harmful tragedy that our rainforests, specifically the Amazon, suffer from is
deforestation. Deforestation is the clearing or destruction of land throughout forests. Unfortunately,
human beings are the number one cause of deforestation throughout the world. The reason if this is
simply because we use the wood mainly for things like hydroelectric dams that power communities,
palm oil for its biofuel resourcefulness, and the mining for diamond and gold. Another reason would
be intentional fires that are used to destroy acres of forest in a quick amount of time for things like
construction. Using fires to clear out land quickly is used because taking the time to clear out the land
for what will be built would be slower using any other process. The wood can be useful but little do
they know that deforestation is extremely harmful to the environment. Deforestation has many effects
on the environment. First of all trees make oxygen and oxygen is a necessity for human life Trees
exchange carbon dioxide (Green house gas) and turns it into oxygen which again we need to survive,
if the carbon dioxide isn t changed fast enough then green house gases build up and the earth heats up
carding to the cycle of Global Warming . Not only that but destroying trees destroys countless
ecosystems and organisms that are a part of nature, and changing ecosystems and habitats can affect
many animals. Destroying the trees will cause a habitat change that will disrupt the

Diversity In Advertising
On T.V., billboards, magazines, and almost anywhere possible, there is a constant push for a better,
more improved product that everyone needs in their life. The American marketplace has grown
increasingly congested as more and more products have entered into the frenzied competition after the
public s dollars, as stated by Jib Fowles in , Advertisings Fifteen Basic Appeals. Advertisement is so
much a part of everyday life that most people are unfazed by almost everything being a space to
advertise. When the majority doesn t notice the majority of advertisements what is a company to do?
Advertisers are constantly searching for new ways to catch an audience s eye, which is what exactly a

Now, in 2017, American values are changing and there is a movement of women, young and old,
standing up to societies standards of beauty, saying that there is no such thing as a perfect woman, and
that diversity is beautiful. Many companies have taken to that ideal by using campaigns where there
are more than just tall, skinny, white models, and also going without photoshopping their photos. This
is something that makes brands more relatable to everyday women, because finally there is diversity
in advertisements and campaigns. For many years people of color, mentally or physically disabled
people, and members of the LGBTQ community were severely underrepresented in the media.
Representation is very important when it comes to appealing to a large audience, when looking at
advertisements, everyone wants to see people that they can relate to. Clearly, Olay has not opted for
this rout in the advertisement. Perhaps if the models did not have flawless skin and were closer in age

POWER AND POLITICS IN THE FALL AND RISE OF JOHN LASSETER
John Lasseter grew up in a family heavily involved in artistic expression. Lasseter was drawn to
cartoons as a youngster. Then as a freshman in high school he read a book entitled The Art of
Animation. The book, about the making of the Disney animated film Sleeping Beauty, proved to be a
revelation for Lasseter. He discovered that people could earn a living by developing cartoons. Lasseter
started writing letters to The Walt Disney Company Studios regarding his interest in creating cartoons.
Studio representatives, who corresponded with Lasseter many times, told him to get a great art
education, after which they would teach him animation.

Lasseter is regarded by Hollywood executives as the modern Walt [Disney] himself [with capabilities]
that have made Pixar a sure thing in the high stakes animated world. Former Disney Studios head,
Peter Schneider, says Lasseter is a kid who has never grown up and continues to show the wonder and

Lasseter now oversees development of movies at both Pixar s and Disney s animation studios. Says
Lasseter, I can t tell you how thrilled I am to have all these new roles. I do what I do in life because of

Theft is a unique short story in the Porter canon for several reasons. It is the first effort at
incorporating autobiographical elements into her work. Porter developed an intense relationship with
Matthew Josephson, her literary mentor and lover. His wife, after discovering the affair, told him to
choose between them. Josephson chose his wife and wrote Porter a letter detailing the decision and the
fervent hope they could continue working together and remain friends. Porter was ... Show more

The curtain of the story rises, and Porter s protagonist emerges from her bath to see that her gold cloth
purse is no longer on the bench where she spread it out to dry the night before. As she recalls the
previous evening, trying to discover when it may have gone missing, we learn that she has been
robbed several times either material[ly] or intangib[ly] (85), but not of the purse.
The subtle yet critical thefts of the night before take place, as so many petty thefts can, under the guise
of friendship. As they leave a cocktail party together, her friend, Camilo, insists on walking her
through the rain to the Elevated and in doing so ruins his hat; still, she thinks, he will associate her
with his misery (79), as if his offer to walk her through rain puts her at fault. Roger, another artist
friend, spots her on the steps to the Elevated and offers to take a taxi with her, but then borrows ten
cents, a quarter of all the money she possesses, to pay his fare. Once in her apartment building, she
runs into a playwright who owes her money for writing the third act of his play, but he won t give it to

very scary and serious because no one knows who got the disease or know one know the symptoms,
how long the pandemic is going to last, if you are going to live or die it s one of the worst feelings in

Because the virus is new, the human population has little to no immunity against it. The virus spreads
quickly from person to person worldwide. The United States is not currently experiencing a flu
pandemic. If a pandemic occurs, the federal government will work to identify the cause and create a
vaccine. Flu.gov will provide updates on the steps the federal government is taking to address the
pandemic. Death rates may be high. Four factors largely that determine the death toll: The number of
people who become infected, the strength of the virus, the underlying characteristics and vulnerability
of affected population, the effectiveness of preventive measures. What you need in order to be able to
survive a pandemic you would really only need to be around your personal family that you live with
everyday but sometimes you don t even need to be around your family, because a pandemic is very

William Shakespeare s Play, Kyd s The Spanish Tragedy...
Early Modern drama criticism has been concerned with the parallels between punishment on stage,
performed for an audience in plays such as Thomas Kyd s The Spanish Tragedy; and punishment as it
was enacted on the scaffold. In his play, Kyd aligns this parallel with another: that between revenge
and justice. Though separate in one sense, revenge can be understood in terms of justice, and justice
therefore seemingly has some qualities in common with its presumed opposite. On top of this, Kyd
superimposes the tension between Catholicism and Protestantism. The Spanish Tragedy, then, sets up
and destroys a three pronged opposition: the opposition between judicial punishment and theatrical
punishment; the opposition between rival forms of Christianity; and the opposition between the public
and private revenger. I will discuss each of these oppositions in turn and it is through this lens that I
will examine the representation of punishment in the play. Executions are rare, even taboo, as visual
representations on the Elizabethan stage. As Foucault explains, the public execution [was] more than
an act of justice; it was a manifestation of force, or rather, it was justice as the physical, material and
awesome force of the sovereign deployed there. Condoning theatrical reconstructions of the public
execution could potentially destabilize the officially sanctioned terror of the monarch by, as James
Shapiro puts it, showing it often enough to make familiar or by resituating it

`` Alien Notion `` By Chip Rowe
Alien Notion by Chip Rowe was featured in The Playboy Forum in February 2003. In this article Chip
Rowe writes about the attempts of creationist to bring God into public schools. According to Chip
Rowe, after the Supreme Court ruled that teaching biblical creationism in public school is a violation
of church and state, creationist have been divided into two groups. One group called young earthers
believe a literal interpretation of Genesis in the Bible, while the other group developed a new way to
sneak God into the classroom by creating intelligent design or as Rowe describes it creationism after a
shower and a shave . The creationist behind intelligent design avoid mention of Adam and Eve;
instead they say any intelligent being could ve designed it. He also states that religious right
organizers utilized grassroots lobbying efforts that gave intelligent design a legitimacy it didn t
deserve .
The feud between creationist and scientist about the origins of the universe dates back to the 20 s
during the Scopes trial. Scientist are against creationism because there is no evidence to support the
theory. Scientist support Charles Darwin s theory Darwinism, the theory that organisms evolve from
simple to complex through minor adaptations over time, because it has held up for more than a
century. Rowe s article expresses how he believes that creationist created intelligent design to take the
place of creationism in public schools after the Supreme Court ruled that

Assyrian Art And Its Influences Of Assyrian Art And Their...
Assyrian Art and Its Influences Assyrian art was long buried under the sands of time. The palaces
collapsed, and the grave of the city was unrecognizable. In Wilkinson s Some New Contacts With
Nimrud and Assyria he discusses these ancient people and their prevalence in today s museum society,
as well as their possible influences. The Assyrian people were very vicious and many descriptions of
them in the Bible do not describe them to the extreme that they describe themselves. Since Assyrian
art was buried for the longest time, people did not really understand them and their culture that well,
which is why people such as Layard, an archeologist, were eager to discover more. Wilkinson
describes how many museums didn t have any Assyrian exhibits until around the eighteen forties to
the eighteen fifties. Wilkinson uses descriptive details, and references to describe Assyrian artwork
and its prevalence to museum culture. Wilkinson describes Assyrian artwork in a very detailed way.
He does this too support his claims that Assyrian artwork is a mixture of many cultures. Wilkinson
states the since the Assyrian people conquered so many different groups of people, you are really able
to see that influence within their artwork. The descriptions of these pieces allow the audience to
follow his claims and make connections between artworks as well. For example, Wilkinson describes
one of the ivory carvings found stating that the row of pretty gazelles, with one of them licking her

Post-Tbi Case Studies
It is evident that there are some solid data for the cause of AI due to TBI along with refuting data as
well. The largest discrepancy among investigating AI in TBI patients, was the varying definitions of
what constituted as AI. As stated in the results section, these measurements and tests included, but not
limited to, baseline cortisol readings, and varying ACTH stimulation tests. It seems that those
investigators who chose to use a baseline cortisol measurement as opposed to stimulation tests,
gathered more data in support of AI post TBI. Heather et al showed a stimulation test referred to as the
metyrapone test. This test not only measures the potential increase in a cortisol level of the patient, but
also causes the shunting of endocrine products to make more cortisol due to inhibiting the further
progression of precursors to other hormones such as sex hormones. This type of stimulation test was
not found in other articles that were reviewed for this paper. It would be helpful to see how often and
how beneficial a test such as the metyrapone test is over a possible standard ACTH stimulation test

It seems that the low dose ACTH test was more sensitive in diagnosing AI post TBI, possibly even
with an over diagnosing of this insufficiency. (Mirzaie, et al., 2013) The high dose ACTH test also had

administration. A 60min sample seemed to have given the strongest correlation between TBI and a
resulting AI in the patient. (Bernard, Outtrim, Menon, Matta,

At this step embryo genotyping is required to identify each member of the litter in order to be able to

Six Elements Of A Literature Review On Tourism And Human...

A literature review is a body of text that determines the aims to review the critical points of current
knowledge including substantive findings as well as theoretical and methodological contributions to a
particular topic. The review of relevant literature is nearly always a standard chapter of a thesis or

background to and justification for the research undertaken. Bruce , who has published widely on the
topic of the literature review, has identified six elements of a literature review. These elements

Comparing The Book The Hero With A Thousand Faces
The epic poem Beowulf, the book The Hero with a Thousand Faces, and many other literature works
all have references from the Anglo Saxon period. The Anglo Saxons had a very interesting way of
interpreting their way of life into great stories. Some of those interpretations are as follows: true
calling vs honor and glory, the symbolization of monsters, and the struggle of life. These
interpretations will show how the Anglo Saxon period and the epic poem relate together.
Stories and poems from the Anglo Saxons period have a hero with a true calling. The hero in story
will usually have some kind of a quest they need to complete to fulfill their assumed role. From a

his unwillingness to believe his own tests were wrong confused many struggling climbers. Harris
caused additional trouble while descending the mountain; he turned Jon Krakauer s oxygen level in
the wrong direction on his tank. This caused Krakauer to have a sudden surge of pure oxygen followed
by his canister running out of the gas. The mistakes by Harris and Krakauer caused Krakauer s
schedule of receiving oxygen to be thrown off balance, causing his descent to be severely tougher than
expected.
Climbers neglect of their own physical limitations also caused grief during the climb and descent. The
harsh winds and temperatures of the high altitudes unexpectedly tortured Beck Weathers, who had
undergone eye surgery months before the climb. The conditions caused Beck to lose almost all of his
vision, which obviously impacted his attempt at descending the mountain. If Beck had taken

Alexander The New Jim Crow
Alexander depiction of the criminal justice system as the new Jim Crow, I agree with this depiction.
Moreover, to understand what Jim Crow of the 1950 s and 60 s were, fully grasp Alexander depiction
of our current criminal justice system. Described by Alexander (2011) Jim Crow laws was placed
throughout the South that institutionalized discrimination and racism. Blacks were denied the right to
vote, access to education, employment, and housing. Consequently, allowing Alexander to draw her
depiction of the New Jim Crow. As described by Alexander (2011) The mass incarceration of
minorities. The denial of employment, housing and voting rights to people convicted of a felony crime.
Thus, illustrating the correlation between the passed Jim Crow and as depicted by Alexander, the
current New Jim Crow. The racial and class disparities are intersectionationalty. We see
intersectionality within our current justice system. To understand, the racial disparities within our
justice system as described by Krimsky and Simoncelli (2017) one must first understand the laws and
the classification of crime that these disparities stand on. Moreover, the mere difference between crack
cocaine and powder cocaine holds different consequences under the law. However, these two illegal
drugs are made of the same substance, one is in rock form, and the other powder. To highlight the
discontinuous within our justice system, we find that blacks are more likely to use ... Show more

In Flander s Field Analysis
World War I was very dark period, with lots of deaths that left veterans with shellshock .
Many families lost their beloved ones. The Canadian poet John McCrae s poem ( In Flander s Field) ,
encourages the new soldiers to continue the war after World War I, so the old soldiers wouldn t have
died for nothing. It s a poem of remembrance , for the people not to forget the effort of the dead ones
and to take over their mission. The poem is written by the dead soldier s point of view, in a cemetery,
In Flanders Fields. This poem encouraged World War II ; caused many people to take a place in the
war in order to honor the efforts of the dead.
John McCrae starts off the poem with a very peaceful tone, in the first stanza describing In Flanders

Statistics And Comparing Crime Rates College Data
Introduction: I will be discussing crime rates, statistics and comparing crime rates college data. I will
be comparing University of Texas at Arlington and Texas Southern University. In Conclusion of my
research UTA had the highest crime rates in alcohol arrest, domestic violence, stalking, motor vehicle
theft, sexual assaults, but TSU had more burglaries. I think this is the case that UTA crime rates or
high because it is a diverse University and some of the crimes that are committed some cultures can
get away with in in their country but not in Texas or the U.S.
Self Reports:
Self report measures of criminal victimization have become widely used social indicators and research
tools in criminology and criminal justice. Self report data is collected also by tradeoffs between data
quality and the costs of administering the survey within the environment of the U.S. Census Bureau.
The data is collected in schools, courts, detention centers, correctional facility
 Strengths:
1. they include crimes not reported, substance abuse and offenders personal information is included
 Weakness:
1. It s not clear how other events may be affected
2. It should be noted that the evidence related to self administration does not link improvements in
reports
3. Can improve in collecting more data to be reported
4. they want honesty from offenders and leave out offenders who refuse to participate or abnormal

is lottery a good idea Essay
Is Lottery a Good Idea?
Lottery is one of the best things that has ever happened to human kind especially those that dream
high and but their dreams don t come to life because they don t have what it takes to make it happen.
Lotteries are in various categories such as sweep stakes, scratch off, the Jackpot and even the green
card lottery. The lottery that is being focused in this argument is the jackpot one. When individuals or
people in general buy the lottery ticket their hopes are high, and they anxiously await with anticipation
hoping to win. If they don t win, they never give up, for they know that there is always next time and
they keep playing. Some people urge that playing lottery is a bad idea because people end up getting

The history of lottery started long time ago in the early history of America. The online gov. info
library states that Lotteries were frequently used in colonial era America to finance public works
projects such as paving streets, constructing wharves, even building churches. In the 18th century,
lotteries were used to finance construction of buildings at Harvard and Yale. This shows that lottery
has been around for a long time. Today, most states have adopted lottery system especially the
computerized ones like mega millions and Powerball due to the world advancing technologically. This
is so because these states have seen the growth of income that come from lotto. Each state has rules
and time frames in which a prize can be claimed. Some states allows people to be anonymous like
Ohio while others don t have that option. For example, in Indiana winners have 90 days before they
claim their prize and their identity is revealed. In cases where the winning ticket isn t claimed, the
state will get back all the money that it contributed to the unclaimed jackpot. The money is distributed
according to state rules.
Even if the winner comes forward, every state that participates in lottery selling benefits from it. The
state imposes both federal and state taxes on the winner. Winners have a choice to take a pay out as a
lump sum or as an annuity. If the payment is lump sum, taxes are paid out at once and annually if the
prize is taken as an annuity. These

Drinking College Campuses
Every year, approximately 6,000 to 22,000 students die on college and University campuses (qtd. in
CintroÌn X), and thousands of these deaths can be attributed to alcohol over consumption (A Sober
Assessment of High Risk Drinking on College Campuses). If there are not appropriate steps taken to
address the situation, minors will continue to lose their lives as a result. As individuals enter college, it
is likely that they will be exposed to alcohol, whether they meet the legal drinking age or do not.
Many of these college students, specifically freshmen, are experiencing freedom for the first time in
their lives and it can be relatively easy for them to get carried away, resulting in irresponsible decision
making which often involves alcoholic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They returned to the house and left Carson on a mattress, he never woke up. Carson died
unresponsive, unmonitored, and abandoned on a mattress. He died from acute alcohol poisoning; his
blood alcohol level was .40. (Carson s Story)
Carson was not the first person to lose his life as a result of a stupid mistake and the inaction of others.
Rather than being able to learn from his poorly made decision, Carson s life came to an abrupt end.
At the end of the day, if an individual over consumes alcohol, that shouldn t be the last decision they
make. A person s life, dreams and future shouldn t depend another s hesitation to call for medical
attention due to fear of legal repercussions. By implementing medical amnesty legislation in all
communities hosting college campuses, an increase in individuals seeking help, will contribute to the
decreasing of college students dying due to alcohol over consumption and substance

Contrasts between Zeffirelli and Luhrmann’s Romeo and...
Contrasts between Zeffirelli and Luhrmann s Romeo and Juliet There are many differences, large and
small, between Zeffirelli and Luhrmann s version of Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet. After seeing the
first scene of both of these films, some notable contrasts became clear. The props used in both films
differ greatly, in the 1967 version, very dated costumes were used, it looked like the director wanted a
medieval style to be shown in the film judging by the costumes and props used. Real swords were
drawn by the Capulet s and the Montague s as the play suggests but the fighting seemed quite
unbelievable to a modern day viewer as did some of the stalls used in the small market surroundings.

The scenery in each play also differs greatly; the 1967 version is set in a medieval village with castles
and a small market. Again its age shows as the buildings and backdrops look quite fake against the
modern scenery in the 1997 film. Good lighting is used in the older film but again the newer one has
realistic effects and buildings and overall has better quality scenery. In both films, certain lines are
missed out or changed slightly; I think the language used is basically the same but in the market it was
hard at times to hear what exactly was being said over all the noise of the villagers. Although
Luhrmann did a good job of bringing modern props into the film, the language used in play sounded
odd coming from modern people, dressed in modern clothes at a petrol station. So I think the older
film did a better job with the language despite the hearing difficulty in some parts. The Acting quality
was good in both films, but I found the style in the early 1967 version was boring and the fight scenes
were slightly unbelievable. The 1997 version was more exciting and kept u interested but there wasn t
really much between the two films in the quality of acting. Finally I looked at the different camera
techniques used, it was interesting to see that both plays had shots of the legs or shoes of one of the
families, Zeffirelli shot

Ralph Ellison Invisible Man
Ralph Ellison s short excerpt from Invisible Man, is about an unnamed high school graduate, who is
haunted by his grandfather s last words, Live with your head in the lion s mouth, I want you to
overcome em with yesses, undermine em with grins, agree em to death and destruction, let em swoller
you till they vomit or bust wide open (Ellison). The unnamed graduate realizing he is an invisible man
due to his skin color. Even though he has achieved a high school education and slavery was no longer
a problem, he felt as though people still looked right through him. So, when his grandfather was on his
deathbed, those last few words kept haunting the young man leaving him confused on how to make
life decisions. He still remained an intelligent, brave young man despite being naĂŻve and weak. The
unnamed teen shows his confusion right when his grandfather had died. He did not know how to
comprehend what he heard and how to live by it. He did not like how it remained an unanswered
puzzle in the back of his mind (Ellison). The unnamed teen was living as he should, abiding why the
white folks and listening to what they had to say, yet at the same time, he felt as though he was going
against his grandfather s wishes. This is why he is left confused throughout his life. He also mentions,
And whenever things went well for me, I remembered my grandfather and felt guilty and
uncomfortable (Ellison). A reason why he seemed to be in distraught over his grandfather s words was
because

  • 2. The Holy One of Israel in Isaiah The Holy One of Israel This essay concerns about the meaning of the divine title The Holy One of Israel in the Book of Isaiah. It is going to state clearly the study approach before going into the discussion. Approach of this essay The book of Isaiah had been studied through different approaches of which three are quite distinctive[1]. (1) A pre critical, or traditional, understanding, still found in some conservative scholars. They keep the entire book of Isaiah connected to the prophet Isaiah of the eighth century B.C.E. There is nothing intrinsically impossible as the approach is prophecy . With the rise of historical criticism , such an approach has been commonly rejected in the interpretive world. (2) A critical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Israel acquires holiness by being obedient to God s commandments and faithful to His covenant (Lev 11:44; Deut 28:9)[4]. The concept of holiness permeates the life of Israel. Even the land occupied by the people is considered holy (Zech 2:12). The capital city Jerusalem is designated as the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High (Ps 46:4). The Holy One of Israel The term The Holy One of Israel reflects the dialectical relation between The Holy One and Israel . It is a relation with the Holy One with a non holy entity[5]. The Holy One requires Israel to be holy. Be holy because I, the Lord Your God, am holy (Lev 19:2). The separate one becomes the attached one. Their relation is bound by covenant. The challenge of the relation is Israel s unfaithfulness in worshipping other god s. The most notable example is the imposition of Baal worship on the northern kingdom by Ahab s marriage to Jezebel. Both the northern and the southern kingdoms suffered captivity. Any rebellious from Israel side causes discipline from The Holy One side. Exile from Israel causes In the midst from the other, punishment causes redemption , go astray causes teaches and leads etc. In the Book of Isaiah, the Holy One is the Lord, God. The Lord has passion. He is angry at Israel who rejects His laws (5:24; 31:1) but His compassion is good news more directly for the powerless (29:19). He is the Creator of Israel (43:15), the Maker of this nation (17:7; ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. How To Be Better If School Start Later I am sending this to you, because I go to school myself. I always am so tired throughout the day. I am mostly tired in the morning and late afternoon though. This might be different if school started later. This would allow me to stay up later at night to do homework, and get more sleep to be awake for the next day. I could then pay more attention in class, be more awake all day, and feel better during and after school. If I were to pay attention more in class it would help me get better grades, which would get me into good schools, and eventually a good job. That is one reason why it would be better if school started later. Another would be, if I were to be more awake all day not only would it help me during school, but my activities would ... Theory wasn t always a strong point for me, but as the semester moves forward, I see myself getting better at grasping the concepts. The Discussion Forum Questions are useful in the fact that it furthers my knowledge in theory and what we are learning that week. I get to see how other people are thinking about theory. It gives me the opportunity to compare and contrast my thinking to their thinking. All of my postings have been up by Tuesday because I want to give my classmates appropriate time to make comments. I try to put thorough thought into my discussion posts, and use references to back my posts up. I also try to respond to my peer s postings in a timely manner. For example, I think about the theorists and their theories we just learned about and relate that theory to my patients. I try to critically think about the best EBP, and apply to my posts since we use EBP every day in nursing. I try my best to critically think, give appropriate examples in my posts, and have the research to back my posts up. • 6. Carpal Tunnel Research Paper Carpal Tunnel PHED 424 Emily Erwin 1/28/2015 Anatomy Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common condition that affects the hand and wrist. It happens when too much pressure is put on the median nerve. The median nerve runs through a structure at the wrist called the carpal tunnel, which is where the syndrome gets its name. Sometimes the carpal tunnel (which is made up of the carpal bones and the transverse ligament) will narrow, due to swelling, and that is how the median nerve gets squeezed. This condition is usually progressive (it will continue to get worse over time) and the symptoms involve numbness and pain in the wrist and hand. The first being that it increases the rate of poverty because children do not get paid significantly less, adults lose their jobs to children and the children because children are easier to manipulate do not get the knowledge they need to attain better lifestyles. • 9. Calvinism And Religion Summary Abraham Kuyper goes on to continue making his point about how Calvinism is a life system through his second lecture titled Calvinism and Religion. Even the title alone strongly makes this point in the way that it implies that Calvinism and religion are not synonymous. It almost feels like Kuyper is pushing this chapter s main idea that Calvinism holds a dominant and impressive position in the domain of religion by using dramatic language that insinuates the bragging that Calvinism is better than everything else. For example, on page 42, Kuyper says, ...look at the giant spirit of Calvin, who, in the sixteenth century, with one master stroke, placed before the gaze of the astonished word an entire religious edifice, erected in the purest Scriptural style. It is clear that Kuyper is trying very hard to defend Calvinism against the vile enemies of Rationalism, Materialism, mysticism, and modernism. However, I do like the sentence after the prior criticized quote, which gracefully justifies the vulnerabilities of Calvinism by saying, So rapidly was the whole building completed that most of the spectators forgot to pay attention to the wonderful structure of its foundations. Kuyper then sets off to outline these structures of Calvinism s religious foundations with three answers to the question of what was the secret to Calvinism s religious energy. The first of his three answers involves exploring the concept of Religion as such, using an abundance of italicizing. This ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Analysis of Transcript Analysis of Transcript Young Ones Introduction: I have chosen to analyse the beginning of the first episode in the first series of the 80 s TV comedy The Young Ones . This particular text appeals to me because it is important in how it introduces the characters, as this is the first time the audience ever meet them. Relative Status: Rick and Neil are both students living in the same house; therefore their status should be equal though both are striving for dominance. Rick is defiantly the more dominant of the two, due to his extrovert personality. Both characters are self centred, for instance, at the beginning of the scene; Neil delivers a monologue where he talks about himself ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is denoted by the way Neil talks to himself or arguably the audience, about what is going on. His frequent use of fillers such as right and like emphasize the chatty, personal speech and helps make a scripted conversation flow like a natural one. These fillers also make Neil more real and human; this helps the audience to relate to him. This is especially important as the character of Neil is arguably there to be sympathised with. When Rick is discussing his poem about Cliff Richard, Neil is talking about how he is going to kill himself, this is an attempt to change the topic of conversation, however he fails as Rick is the dominant speaker. Thus, two separate conversations run parallel with each other. Lexis: The lexis within my transcript is informal, conversational and often colloquial. For example words such as eh , huh , yeah and gonna are examples of conversational lexis. There are also examples of clichĂ©d hippy lexis used by Neil, such as man , heavy , karma and suss out , these form the semantic field of spiritualists, which reinforce stereotypical ideas about students and hippies . Rick s poem displays many typical features of a poem, with the use of rhyme and repetition. For example, the rhyming of as if and a cliff immediately allows the audience to recognise that it is a poem. The poem ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. Theme Of The Wife Of His Youth The Wife of His Youth is an 1898 historical fiction short story by author Charles W. Chesnutt. Charles Chestnutt is the first African American writer to use folklore in series literature. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 20, 1858, but spent most of his childhood in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Growing up in the south had a lasting impact on him, in that it furnished rich material for his fiction. Therefore, it is not surprising that Chestnutt s characters, settings, scenes and institutions reflect North Carolina s culture. As a creative writer blossoming in the 1880s, Chesnutt believed that he could use folklore to stem the tide of racist thinking depicted by the plantation school writers, such as Thomas Nelson Page and others, who wrote of slavery as a benevolent system. However, by 1905, Chestnutt realized that fiction was not the route to bring America around to treating African Americans with the same respect as whites. Consequently, with this realization Chestnutt became a fighter against discrimination with his voice. He made speeches and wrote essays against all kinds of discrimination (Young). • 16. Intrinsic Value Essay Intrinsic value is traditionally defined as value that something has in itself and in its own right (Zimmerman, 2014). For such reason, rational moral agents have a moral obligation to preserve the biosphere because animals and plants have an intrinsic value. I understand a counter argument of mine is that plants and animals are used instrumentally by rational moral agents, entirely for pleasure which is unnecessary. Extrinsic value is described as something valuable which can be put to use instrumentally (Zimmerman, 2014). It is said that what has intrinsic value has ultimate moral value (Woods, 2010). There are also four main interpretations which includes intrinsic value to be of a non instrumental value, morally considerable, flourishing of its nature, and the value which is independent on the valuation of valuers (Woods, 2010, pg. 2). It is morally correct that the pleasure of humans should not override the interests and rights of animals and plants, merely must be considered equal (Freya, 2010). It is obvious plants and animals have inherent worth and are members of the earths community. For this reason, rational moral agents must not discriminate any entity and must be realised as intrinsically valuable. As rational moral agents and stewards of the biosphere, it is our obligation to respectfully prolong the survival of plants and animals as derived from the evolutionary similarity and the meaning and purpose of humans to protect the fabric of the world (Freya, 2010). ... As my parents and I entered a lively, seafood restaurant, on a late Friday night, I studied the room like a textbook. The paintings of fish and steering wheels on the walls made the restaurant resemble a pirate ship. The odor of fried food and grease filled my nose, while the sound of chaos filled my ears. The sweltering, humid air felt like a rain forest. This was not a very sophisticated restaurant, it was a local joint, with informally dressed people. • 19. Deforestation of Our Rainforests The most destructive and harmful tragedy that our rainforests, specifically the Amazon, suffer from is deforestation. Deforestation is the clearing or destruction of land throughout forests. Unfortunately, human beings are the number one cause of deforestation throughout the world. The reason if this is simply because we use the wood mainly for things like hydroelectric dams that power communities, palm oil for its biofuel resourcefulness, and the mining for diamond and gold. Another reason would be intentional fires that are used to destroy acres of forest in a quick amount of time for things like construction. Using fires to clear out land quickly is used because taking the time to clear out the land for what will be built would be slower using any other process. The wood can be useful but little do they know that deforestation is extremely harmful to the environment. Deforestation has many effects on the environment. The American marketplace has grown increasingly congested as more and more products have entered into the frenzied competition after the public s dollars, as stated by Jib Fowles in , Advertisings Fifteen Basic Appeals. Advertisement is so much a part of everyday life that most people are unfazed by almost everything being a space to advertise. Now, in 2017, American values are changing and there is a movement of women, young and old, standing up to societies standards of beauty, saying that there is no such thing as a perfect woman, and that diversity is beautiful. Many companies have taken to that ideal by using campaigns where there are more than just tall, skinny, white models, and also going without photoshopping their photos. This is something that makes brands more relatable to everyday women, because finally there is diversity in advertisements and campaigns. For many years people of color, mentally or physically disabled people, and members of the LGBTQ community were severely underrepresented in the media. Representation is very important when it comes to appealing to a large audience, when looking at advertisements, everyone wants to see people that they can relate to. Clearly, Olay has not opted for this rout in the advertisement. Perhaps if the models did not have flawless skin and were closer in age to the women who would be buying this product, the readers would be more inclined to give it a try. Instead, an older reader looks at the models and can t relate because the reader cannot see a reflection of themselves in the models. In real life, women aren t perfect. Jib Fowles put advertising into fifteen basic appeals, number six being the desire to achieve. Though he describes it as, the drive that energizes people, causing them to strive in their lives and careers, it could also be looked at as trying to achieve a certain appearance (Fowles 82). For a very long time that certain appearance was bring skinny and tan with bleach blonde hair. Olay is showing perfection, a feat that many strive for but become worn out in the process of ... • 26. William Shakespeare s Play, Kyd s The Spanish Tragedy... Early Modern drama criticism has been concerned with the parallels between punishment on stage, performed for an audience in plays such as Thomas Kyd s The Spanish Tragedy; and punishment as it was enacted on the scaffold. In his play, Kyd aligns this parallel with another: that between revenge and justice. Though separate in one sense, revenge can be understood in terms of justice, and justice therefore seemingly has some qualities in common with its presumed opposite. On top of this, Kyd superimposes the tension between Catholicism and Protestantism. The Spanish Tragedy, then, sets up and destroys a three pronged opposition: the opposition between judicial punishment and theatrical punishment; the opposition between rival forms of Christianity; and the opposition between the public and private revenger. I will discuss each of these oppositions in turn and it is through this lens that I will examine the representation of punishment in the play. Executions are rare, even taboo, as visual representations on the Elizabethan stage. As Foucault explains, the public execution [was] more than an act of justice; it was a manifestation of force, or rather, it was justice as the physical, material and awesome force of the sovereign deployed there. Condoning theatrical reconstructions of the public execution could potentially destabilize the officially sanctioned terror of the monarch by, as James Shapiro puts it, showing it often enough to make familiar or by resituating it ... In this article Chip Rowe writes about the attempts of creationist to bring God into public schools. According to Chip Rowe, after the Supreme Court ruled that teaching biblical creationism in public school is a violation of church and state, creationist have been divided into two groups. One group called young earthers believe a literal interpretation of Genesis in the Bible, while the other group developed a new way to sneak God into the classroom by creating intelligent design or as Rowe describes it creationism after a shower and a shave . The creationist behind intelligent design avoid mention of Adam and Eve; instead they say any intelligent being could ve designed it. He also states that religious right organizers utilized grassroots lobbying efforts that gave intelligent design a legitimacy it didn t deserve . The feud between creationist and scientist about the origins of the universe dates back to the 20 s during the Scopes trial. Scientist are against creationism because there is no evidence to support the theory. Scientist support Charles Darwin s theory Darwinism, the theory that organisms evolve from simple to complex through minor adaptations over time, because it has held up for more than a century. • 29. Assyrian Art And Its Influences Of Assyrian Art And Their... Assyrian Art and Its Influences Assyrian art was long buried under the sands of time. The palaces collapsed, and the grave of the city was unrecognizable. In Wilkinson s Some New Contacts With Nimrud and Assyria he discusses these ancient people and their prevalence in today s museum society, as well as their possible influences. The Assyrian people were very vicious and many descriptions of them in the Bible do not describe them to the extreme that they describe themselves. Since Assyrian art was buried for the longest time, people did not really understand them and their culture that well, which is why people such as Layard, an archeologist, were eager to discover more. Wilkinson describes how many museums didn t have any Assyrian exhibits until around the eighteen forties to the eighteen fifties. Wilkinson uses descriptive details, and references to describe Assyrian artwork and its prevalence to museum culture. Wilkinson describes Assyrian artwork in a very detailed way. He does this too support his claims that Assyrian artwork is a mixture of many cultures. Wilkinson states the since the Assyrian people conquered so many different groups of people, you are really able to see that influence within their artwork. The descriptions of these pieces allow the audience to follow his claims and make connections between artworks as well. The largest discrepancy among investigating AI in TBI patients, was the varying definitions of what constituted as AI. As stated in the results section, these measurements and tests included, but not limited to, baseline cortisol readings, and varying ACTH stimulation tests. It seems that those investigators who chose to use a baseline cortisol measurement as opposed to stimulation tests, gathered more data in support of AI post TBI. Heather et al showed a stimulation test referred to as the metyrapone test. This test not only measures the potential increase in a cortisol level of the patient, but also causes the shunting of endocrine products to make more cortisol due to inhibiting the further progression of precursors to other hormones such as sex hormones. Whether errors in judgement or just simple mistakes, accidents on Mount Everest are caused by human error. During pushes up the mountain, it is easy for climbers to make subtle decisions that may have grave consequences later on the hike. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Other physical errors involved the precious resource of oxygen atop the mountain. In one instance, guide Andy Harris refused to believe that a portion of the oxygen canisters stored at the South Summit contained oxygen, often reporting There s no oxygen here! (qtd. in ITA, 195) After research and tests other climbers deduced that there was in fact a supply of oxygen just below the top of the mountain where Harris stood. The misunderstanding by Harris was likely caused by a faulty oxygen register, but his unwillingness to believe his own tests were wrong confused many struggling climbers. Harris caused additional trouble while descending the mountain; he turned Jon Krakauer s oxygen level in the wrong direction on his tank. This caused Krakauer to have a sudden surge of pure oxygen followed by his canister running out of the gas. The mistakes by Harris and Krakauer caused Krakauer s schedule of receiving oxygen to be thrown off balance, causing his descent to be severely tougher than expected. Climbers neglect of their own physical limitations also caused grief during the climb and descent. The harsh winds and temperatures of the high altitudes unexpectedly tortured Beck Weathers, who had undergone eye surgery months before the climb. The conditions caused Beck to lose almost all of his vision, which obviously impacted his attempt at descending the mountain. If Beck had taken precautions to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Drinking College Campuses Every year, approximately 6,000 to 22,000 students die on college and University campuses (qtd. in CintroÌn X), and thousands of these deaths can be attributed to alcohol over consumption (A Sober Assessment of High Risk Drinking on College Campuses). If there are not appropriate steps taken to address the situation, minors will continue to lose their lives as a result. As individuals enter college, it is likely that they will be exposed to alcohol, whether they meet the legal drinking age or do not. Contrasts between Zeffirelli and Luhrmann s Romeo and Juliet There are many differences, large and small, between Zeffirelli and Luhrmann s version of Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet. After seeing the first scene of both of these films, some notable contrasts became clear. The props used in both films differ greatly, in the 1967 version, very dated costumes were used, it looked like the director wanted a medieval style to be shown in the film judging by the costumes and props used. Real swords were drawn by the Capulet s and the Montague s as the play suggests but the fighting seemed quite unbelievable to a modern day viewer as did some of the stalls used in the small market surroundings. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The scenery in each play also differs greatly; the 1967 version is set in a medieval village with castles and a small market. Again its age shows as the buildings and backdrops look quite fake against the modern scenery in the 1997 film. Good lighting is used in the older film but again the newer one has realistic effects and buildings and overall has better quality scenery. In both films, certain lines are missed out or changed slightly; I think the language used is basically the same but in the market it was hard at times to hear what exactly was being said over all the noise of the villagers. Although Luhrmann did a good job of bringing modern props into the film, the language used in play sounded odd coming from modern people, dressed in modern clothes at a petrol station. So I think the older film did a better job with the language despite the hearing difficulty in some parts. The Acting quality was good in both films, but I found the style in the early 1967 version was boring and the fight scenes were slightly unbelievable. The 1997 version was more exciting and kept u interested but there wasn t really much between the two films in the quality of acting. Finally I looked at the different camera techniques used, it was interesting to see that both plays had shots of the legs or shoes of one of the families, Zeffirelli shot ...
