IV. PROCEDURES 4A’S Learning Approach
Motivation
1. Show a video clip showcasing the importance of using the right tools and equipment in electrical installation and maintenance.
2. Conduct a group discussion on the challenges students may face when requesting tools, equipment, and materials.
3. Share real-life experiences of professionals in the field who encountered difficulties in acquiring the necessary tools and
materials.
ACTIVITY
Activity 1: Tool and Equipment Identification
Materials:
- Pictures or actual tools and equipment used in electrical installation and maintenance
- Chart or board for labeling the tools and equipment
Instructions:
1. Display pictures or actual tools and equipment used in electrical installation and maintenance.
2. Ask students to identify and label each tool and equipment.
3. Discuss the uses and importance of each tool and equipment.
4. Evaluate students' understanding through a quiz or written assessment.
Assessment Questions:
1. What is the purpose of a multimeter in electrical installation and maintenance?
2. Name two tools used for cutting and stripping wires.
Activity 2: Requesting Tools and Materials
Materials:
- Sample request forms
- List of tools and materials needed for a specific electrical installation or maintenance task
Instructions:
1. Provide students with sample request forms.
2. Discuss the necessary information to include in a request form, such as the name of the tool or material, quantity needed, and
reason for the request.
3. Give students a list of tools and materials needed for a specific electrical installation or maintenance task.
4. In groups, students will fill out request forms for the tools and materials needed.
5. Assess students' completed request forms based on accuracy and completeness.
Assessment Questions:
1. What information should be included in a request form for tools and materials?
2. How would you justify the need for a specific tool or material in a request form?
Activity 3: Role-Play: Requesting Tools and Materials
Materials:
- Role-play scenarios
- Props or visuals to simulate a workplace setting
Instructions:
1. Assign students into pairs or small groups.
2. Provide role-play scenarios where students act as electrical technicians tools and materials from their supervisor.
3. Students will take turns playing the roles of the technician and supervisor.
4. Encourage students to use appropriate language, tone, and gestures when making their requests.
5. Assess students' performance based on their ability to effectively communicate their requests and justify their needs.
Assessment Questions:
1. How did you convince your supervisor to provide the requested tools and materials?
2. What strategies did you use to ensure clear and concise communication during the role-play?
ANALYSIS
Analyze the outcome of each activity by discussing the importance of effective communication, accuracy in tool and equipment
identification, and the ability to justify the need for specific tools and materials.
ABSTRACT
Summarize the key learnings from the activities, emphasizing the importance of requesting tools and materials accurately and
justifying their need in electrical installation and maintenance tasks.
APPLICATION
Present a real-life problem where students have to request tools and materials for a specific electrical installation or maintenance
task. Students should apply their knowledge from the previous activities to complete the task successfully.
V. ASSESSMENT Teachers can assess students' learning by evaluating their completed request forms, observing their role-play performances, and
conducting a written assessment on tool and equipment identification and justification.
VI. ASSIGNMENT Assign students to research and create a comprehensive list of tools and materials needed for a specific electrical installation or
maintenance project. They should include the purpose, quantity, and estimated cost of each item.

Mathematics - Students can calculate the cost of tools and materials needed for electrical installation and maintenance. 2. Science - Students can study the properties and characteristics of different tools and equipment used in electrical installation and maintenance. 3. Technology and Livelihood Education - Students can explore various career opportunities related to electrical installation and maintenance. III. LEARNING RESOURCES A. References 1. Show a video clip showcasing the importance of using the right tools and equipment in electrical installation and maintenance. 2. ACTIVITY Activity 1: Tool and Equipment Identification Materials: - Pictures or actual tools and equipment used in electrical installation and maintenance - Chart or board for labeling the tools and equipment Instructions: 1. Display pictures or actual tools and equipment used in electrical installation and maintenance. 2. Ask students to identify and label each tool and equipment. 3. Discuss the uses and importance of each tool and equipment. 4. Evaluate students' understanding through a quiz or written assessment. Assessment Questions: 1. What is the purpose of a multimeter in electrical installation and maintenance? 2. Name two tools used for cutting and stripping wires. Activity 2: Requesting Tools and Materials Materials: - Sample request forms - List of tools and materials needed for a specific electrical installation or maintenance task Instructions: 1. Provide students with sample request forms. 2. Discuss the necessary information to include in a request form, such as the name of the tool or material, quantity needed, and reason for the request. 3. Give students a list of tools and materials needed for a specific electrical installation or maintenance task. 4. In groups, students will fill out request forms for the tools and materials needed. 5. Assess students' completed request forms based on accuracy and completeness. Assessment Questions: 1. What information should be included in a request form for tools and materials? 2. How would you justify the need for a specific tool or material in a request form? Activity 3: Role-Play: Requesting Tools and Materials

Provide role-play scenarios where students act as electrical technicians tools and materials from their supervisor. 3. Students will take turns playing the roles of the technician and supervisor. 4. Encourage students to use appropriate language, tone, and gestures when making their requests. 5. Assess students' performance based on their ability to effectively communicate their requests and justify their needs. Assessment Questions: 1. How did you convince your supervisor to provide the requested tools and materials? 2. What strategies did you use to ensure clear and concise communication during the role-play? ANALYSIS Analyze the outcome of each activity by discussing the importance of effective communication, accuracy in tool and equipment identification, and the ability to justify the need for specific tools and materials. ABSTRACT Summarize the key learnings from the activities, emphasizing the importance of requesting tools and materials accurately and justifying their need in electrical installation and maintenance tasks. APPLICATION Present a real-life problem where students have to request tools and materials for a specific electrical installation or maintenance task. Students should apply their knowledge from the previous activities to complete the task successfully. V. ASSESSMENT Teachers can assess students' learning by evaluating their completed request forms, observing their role-play performances, and conducting a written assessment on tool and equipment identification and justification. VI. ASSIGNMENT Assign students to research and create a comprehensive list of tools and materials needed for a specific electrical installation or maintenance project.
