Diphenylmethane is an organic compound that is a white solid consisting of a methane molecule where two hydrogen atoms are replaced by two phenyl groups. It is prepared through the replacement of hydrogen atoms on methane with phenyl groups and is widely used in the synthesis of luminogens for aggregation induced emission and in the preparation of polymerization through diphenylmethyl potassium.
