2. • When we talk about corporation which
went from rags to riches, Google is the
probably the first we think of.
• After all it isn’t normal for a
corporation founded by two research
scholars in Stanford University to
become one of the world’s most valuable
companies.
• Google (Alphabet, to be precise) is one
of most innovative corporations
mankind has ever seen.

3. ADVANTAGES
Innovation: – Alphabet Inc. is presently
the world’s most innovative company. From
self-driving cars to Google Glass to
research for longevity this conglomerate
has innovated in many sectors.
Innovation is the key to survival for any
technology company. If the company can’t
innovate, then it is thrown away. This is
what is happening to many technology
companies relying on their old products
and not innovating more.
Google is trying to move out from its core
search engine to other sectors and innovate
in that sector yields positive results both for
them and the other companies. If Alphabet
had stuck to its core search engine then it
may not have been as big as it is today.

4. ALL SERVICES FREEEEEEEEE
It is hard to imagine to have google
services as paid. From YouTube to
Search to your mail account, all
these things are free.
It may not seem to be an advantage to
some of my readers but it does help
to make all the people of the world
techno savvy.
Imagine a poor country there you
can’t expect paid services to
dominate over the free services of
the same nature.

5. NOT SO CORPORAT…..Ishhhh !!!
– Google, as a company was not so profit
based as it is today. Though this point
may not be relevant today, Google had
given more attention to the innovation
than profits.
Now the company is observing a transition in
its policy. The proof of the earlier policy
is the ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’button which
directed the searchers to the first link on
the first page of search results. This
button resulted in the loss of a sizeable
chunk of revenue for the company.
This point is not to say that Google is a
charity. After all Google is a for-profit for
corporation with its shareholders and the
board of directors who are not doing
charity but making profits.

6. TOO MUCH POWER FOR A SINGLE COMPANY
What happens when a single company
get too much power.
Yes, abuse of power. Like Microsoft
allegedly abused it operating
system market share to gain
market share in browser industry
in the guise of Internet Explorer,
Google can do the same thing in
any other sector.
Google can abuse its dominance to
do whatever it likes

7. CONCLUSION
Overall, I believe Google has
changed the way we search for
information.
While there are certain
disadvantages in the form of lack
of privacy, we have to adjust with it
because most of their services are
free for the users, aren’t they?
If the users need privacy, then pay the
money, because after all the
companies also want to make their
bucks.
