Descriptive Essay About A Christmas Tree
"This one? No.."
"This one? Nope."
"What about this one?" Here I go getting chosen to be taken home to a family, a house, and a new life!
"I really like that one,"said a small girl. "Me too," added an older sister.
I have been waiting to be the perfect size, perfect height, and perfect color. I have heard so many great things about the holiday! The food, the presents,
the love towards others, but most importantly the birth of our savior, Jesus. I hope this family chooses me to be there new Christmas tree!
"How much will the Christmas tree on the left be," Asked the families father.

you get to see Santa, tell him that I don't need anything for christmas this year. I just want a girl in my class to become healthy and have a long life. I
don't know if you can hear me but thanks Christmas Tree." And she gave me a BIG hug! Almost knocking the ornaments off of me.
"It's Christmas Eve!" Ava called running down the hall towards her parents bedroom. "Mommy! Can I have my present now?"
"Not until your brother and sister wake up."
" But Mom you know how excited I am. And it's a tradition to always open one present on Christmas Eve." As the older siblings came down stairs they
opened only one present. Like always they got new pajamas. Guests started to arrive at the house, causing the house to get louder. Ava and her cousin
Aubree came running towards me. "This is my best friend" said Ava pointing at me. "Awww, It's nice to meet you Mr. Christmas Tree" said Aubree.
As the night came to an end all of the kids were in their pajamas, the stockings were hung to be filled, presents were placed under me, and cookies were
waiting for Santa. Sure enough Santa arrived as the house became silent. I told Santa all about how Ava kept me company throughout my visit and what
she wanted for Christmas. When Christmas morning came the

Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer
After years of teasing and name–calling, Rudolph the Red–Nosed Reindeer has finally had it. Write a short story (5 to 7 paragraphs) about Rudolph
quitting and what his new plan are.
I spent a lot of my time alone, sitting on the floor of the stable I shared with a friendly mouse. The mouse tried to talk to me, always going, "Hey, hey
Rudolph? All your reindeer buddies are outside. They're jumpin' in all the snow, and boy, does it look fun. You know they out there shoutin' your name,
right? Like they want you to join? How bout it, man? You could really cheer up."
Little did that mouse know that those reindeer were the worst of the worst. Gifted with flight, like I was, they took that power to their head. They
thought they were better than all the other reindeer. They were incredibly strong and fast, and they loved Mr. Santa Claus selecting them to pull his
sleigh. The only reason I'm here is because my glowing nose, but everyone's heard that story. It's in that song that everyone loves. I get cards every year

I've already found some nice little leaf scraps to give to my mouse friend, and I've got a bag packed full of shoes, food, and some scarves, in case it gets

However, I've got some problems with my plan. I've done some research on reindeer with glowing noses. First of all, they don't exist. Second, glowing
things attracts bugs and humans. Third, I've only grown up eating leaves up North, so if I move further South, I don't know what I'll eat! I could grow a
garden with the plants I brought, sure, but will I be able to actually make a garden? Hooves and antlers can only do so much. Also, my little mouthy
mouse buddy will probably say something to the other deer about where I'm headed. He tells me I talk in my sleep, and when sleeping, I can't protect
myself from saying the wrong things. I don't want to take him with me, though, and I certainly have never killed anything

Is Santa Really Real Research Paper
Is Santa Claus Really Real?
BY– Aadi
Christmas is around the corner and excitement is on. Santa is checking off his last list of gifts and everyone is happy. But wait, is there a real Santa
anyways?
The long–awaited moment of truth has recently been discovered and it proves that Santa, the red–suited guy who hopped through our chimneys, is real.
Many adults, nowadays, once used to believe– when they were kids that Santa is Real and he comes with his reindeers to give them gifts, unfortunately,
it was not really the Santa who came and gifted them, but it was their parents.
The myths of the existence of Santa was still like a mystery to a lot.
Mr. Torda, a Biology teacher in the Mayfield High school and the head of the Science Department, said, " When I was a kid, I wondered if Santa was
real or not. Like when my parents used to say to me, There is this guy named Santa, who had a workshop and build all the toys, wraps them, deliver
them and like that." Many kids in the present moment wonder about Santa, and the reindeers, and the stories of Santa make them believe that a guy
with flying reindeers would ride his sleigh all the way to give the kids, some awesome presents. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The name Santa came from Saint Nicholas, he was a priest and used to love everyone and give gifts to children. Mr. Torda later said, "There is little of
both–Myth and reality– in the story of Santa. It started out as real but later it turned into more folklore and magical time of the

Elven Friends
Once upon a time, there was a small village in the North Pole named Christmas Bear's Town. This town was joyful, colorful. Everywhere you looked
there was snow, candy canes and lights decorated all the light posts that where lined up at the main road. The village had one of several Santa's
Workshops, a bakery, a place of gathering known as "The Plaza", and the center of The Plaza there was such a big Christmas tree that would go past the
clouds, and the houses would be spread around in a way that all the elves could see each and greet each other. Christmas Bear's Town inhabitants were
always joyful, positive, and friendly, but at the same time, they were respectful and responsible. They all had pointy ears, silly pointy shoes, different
hats with a bell at the top, and they all wore different colors that would match their personality. The thing that made this village special, was that even
though everyone was different, this didn't stop them from being nice to each other.
One day the plaza was so much more lively than usual, the elves that lived in Christmas Bear's Town were buzzing with excitement and whispering to
each other that they heard there was a newcomer in town! It was said that this newcomer was coming from the neighboring

they are going to church. They won't be long, said Chop. Let's go downstairs so you can drink your bottle. You'll have to hold on to me so you won't

so she wouldn't fall. When they passed the living room and saw the beautiful Christmas tree and the presents under it. "Was I asleep when mommy and
daddy did the tree?" "Yea you were knocked out I tried to wake you up but you just wouldn't. I tried like 10 times, you wouldn't budge. We did it 2 days

Number One Day: A Short Story
Turning to look at Kris and his wife, Fred started by saying, "We have a design team for our toys, games, and each of the other product lines we make."
"But," he continued. "Working together they make sure that whatever we make, is the best of the best." "When we receive a load of logs at the sawmill,
they are first classified by the tree, walnut, Oak, cedar, and so on." "It is then cut into the size lumber needed, at the time. Each piece is graded number
one, or number two." "Thanks to the experience of our teams of gathers, we hardly ever get a tree that grades out at a number three or higher, unless
they have a work order for one." "We gather all the scraps of wood, and have a system in place to collect the saw and sanding dust, and use it in the
heating system, so we use all parts of the tree nothing is wasted." "We not only use ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

help," the mayor said as he stood and faced the two guests. "We would like for you and your wife to move to our village and take charge of how many
and what kind of toys to make, and also to distribute them on Christmas Eve." Standing Kris said, "Thank you for the offer." "However, this is a
decision I cannot make by myself." "I must first talk with my wife, and number one advisor," he said as he returned to his seat. Putting her hand on his
arm, his wife smiled, then stood up and walked to stand behind his chair. Putting her hands on Kris's shoulders, she looked at the elves sitting at the
tables and said. "Members of the council and friends, If this move, will in any way help Kris and me to continue to bring happiness and joy, to the
children not only of our village and country, but some day the whole world." "I say we should do it as soon as

Analysis Of The Poem 'Death Of Santa Claus'
We all believe in the tooth fairy, the boogeyman, and Santa Claus when we're little. Well, for me it was a family of ghosts with the skin color of blue
and blood dripping down their mouths and if they get me, they eat me. The children ghosts eat more than the adults; therefore, they are the scarier.
Another of my worst childhood experiences was with Dokkaebi, or goblins. My mother carved melons into claws and feet and boiled them saying they
were goblins. I was scarred for life at the age of four. The "Death of Santa Claus" by Charles Webb is a poem about a not so Jolly Santa and his not so
merry band suffering because of a nonbeliever and a boy in Texas is talking to his mom about how "stupid kids at school say Santa's a big fake." In this

This poem reminds me of a kid I met when I was little. Since believing in Santa Claus is an American tradition and I'm the first generation Korean
American in my family, we don't follow/ celebrate holidays in America so I knew Santa was a fake (I also don't celebrate Christmas because I am
agnostic). I met this boy when we were in third grade and he was talking about leprechauns. Yes, leprechauns. I didn't even know what a leprechaun
was back then. He said his mother and little brother captured one and forced it to give the location of where it hid the gold. Well, my other fellow
classmates laughed at him and said leprechauns are not real and then they asked the boy if he believed in Santa. The boy said yes and the classmates
said to him, "Santa's not real dummy." Eventually the boy refused the fact Santa was a fake and he started bawling. My third grade teacher, Mrs.
Gamper, had to comfort him. I was wondering, isn't it cruel of adults to make their kids think these fairytale creatures who make miracles, are actually
real? They eventually have to say to their kid, "I'm sorry I lied to you for all these years." I think these stories are actually making a child's trust and
happiness drop because one, they're parents lied to them; two,

The Gift of the Magi Argument Paper
The Gift of the Magi Argumentative Research Paper: Did Jim and Della perform an act of Selfless Love?
Abstract
The story was written by O'Henry in 1906. The story was centered around a seemingly poor couple who did not have enough money to buy each other
the gifts that their significant other deserved. The story took place during Christmas. The Gift of the Magi is like a classic wisdom story in the bible.
O'Henrys choice of title depicts symbolism between the three magi that brought gold, frankincense, and mur, to the baby Jesus and the gifts that Jim
and Della had given to each other which mainly consisted of selfless love, Della's hair and Jims pocket watch. This itself ties into the theme of his story.
These gifts all entail the act ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This leads to her idea of selling her most prized possession: her hair, to get Jim his present. Meanwhile, Jim decides to sell his most prized possession
which was a pocket–watch that was passed down from his grandfather to his father and then to him. He sells that watch and buys Della a set of
beautiful tortoise shell combs for her hair. Thus leading to the use of situational irony in which they both receive gifts for something they gave up in
order to give the other a gift.
Jim and Della perform an act of selfless love by their willingness to give something that held great value to them in order to get special presents for
each other on Christmas. They do all of this out of love for the other. However, you will see that these gives prove to end up having no use in the end
but that is not the main point. The main point is that although this ironic situation occurs, they both find joy in the thought that they would do this for
each other. This love that they have for each other is far greater value than any gift that could be given. Jim doesn't overreact or get angry with this
conclusion. Rather, he tells Stella, "Let's put our Christmas Present away and keep' em a while. They're too nice to use just at present." Although they
no longer had use for their gifts the mere fact that they would such a selfless act of love was more rewarding than any other gift. This in itself is wise.
Another point to stress in that this willingness to be

Research Paper On Santa Claus
Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas, and Chris Kringle are names associated with the most well–known figure among all children as Santa Claus.
Currently, Santa lives in the North Pole with his wife Mrs. Claus, reindeer, and his elves who create toys to give to all of the nice children. For many,
the act of making and delivering presents to all the little boys and girls of the world may appear magical to children and adults but there is evidence
proving that it is all smoke and mirrors. In fact, devising a trip, delivering the presents, and the eating of cookies can be explained by science and
physics.
Believers of Santa's magic contribute the fact that Santa is able to travel around the entire world in one night as proof of his magical authenticity. ...

Some believers of Santa's magic may state that he is able to eat all of these cookies because his stomach has magical properties, allowing him to
consume mass amounts of sweets and use it as fuel. From the point of view of a scientist, this can be explained through the fact that Santa and his
sleigh expend a lot of energy and "Assuming Santa comes fully laden with all the toys delivered to children across the world, he has somewhere around
a million tonnes of toys to deliver, assuming about 4.5 pounds (2 kg) of toys per household" (Siegel 1). With Santa expending so much energy he would
need to eat the sweets to power him and maybe even his sleigh by turning "...those milk and cookies into energy via Einstein's E=mc^2" (Siegel 1). A
statement previously mentioned, stated that Santa's belly is magical and therefore allows Santa to regain his energy. According to science, it would be
impossible for Santa to eat millions of cookies in one night, even if they were as a replenishment for his depleted energy. Since it is physically
impossible for Santa to eat millions of cookies in one night, "He takes many cookies back to the North Pole with him. One of his favorite activities after
he returns home is to separate all the cookies and remember where they came from. And he will eat them one by one." (Westover 1). This

Descriptive Essay About Christmas
I looked out the living room window and saw my parents hanging up our Christmas lights in the soft, falling snow. The aroma of gingerbread cookies
floated in the air. I was wrapped up in a fuzzy, red blanket lounging on our black, leather couch, watching the Christmas special on tv. It was Christmas
Eve so as usual my parents who were the last minute kind of people were hanging up the rest of our Christmas decorations and lights. Here in
Riverbend Estates, everyone went all out with the Christmas decorations. Walking down our street was the most magical feeling. When I peered outside
once more, I noticed that my parents were having trouble blowing up our huge, inflatable Santa Claus that sings carols. I knew that they would need my
assistance, so I hopped off the couch, slid my feet into my soft winter boots, threw a coat on and headed out the door. As soon as I stepped out the door
and the cool air blew softly against my face, arousing my long, blond hair, I could tell that this would be the most magical Christmas ever. The snow
was softly falling and everybody's Christmas lights illuminated the whole street with a soft, Christmas glow. I then jogged over to where my parents
were. They looked especially relieved to see me. "Boy are we glad to see you Belly!" my Dad announced. "I've told you a million times not to call me
Belly! It sounds outragously ridiculous!" I cried out angrily, "Call me BELLA please!"
"Ok Bella, I'm sorry," my dad apologized, laughing,"Look we need your help. There is a hole in Santa's hat. Can you please climb up this ladder and
patch it up?"
I agreed to help my parents as long as they gave me extra gingerbread cookies later. I climbed up the orange ladder, as my dad held onto it for extra
support. When I reached the top of the ladder I could see the gaping hole in poor Santa's hat. As I reached out to patch the hole I suddenly lost my
balance. I felt myself falling through the air, so I braced myself for impact. I heard my mom scream and then everything went black.
It turns out that I didn't get knocked out. THere was simply a power outage. I felt kind of dizzy though so my dad scooped me up in his arms and
brought me inside to lay on the couch for awhile.

Santa Claus Argumentative Essay
The Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Boogeyman, and Santa Claus, what do all of these have in common? For me, it is the innocence of a child.
Children seem to be more gullible and believe anything you tell them; they do not know the difference between a lie and the truth. During the
Christmas of 2003, I was five years old and still believed in Santa Claus. The fact of believing in Santa Claus expresses the innocence of a child and
brings the magic to Christmas. Looking back on this picture I do not remember what I had received in the white knitted stocking my great grandma had
knitted me two years before, but I do remember the excitement of waking up that morning to find the presents that Mr. Santa Claus had brought me, not

Personal Narrative: My Trip To Walmart
It was October 3rd and a brisk autumn breeze gently blew all of the beautifully colored, fallen leaves making them dance throughout the air. I just
arrived back at my gray house, that stretched 3 stories high and stood in the middle of the woods, right on the outskirts of Knox, PA. My trip to Walmart
was long and very aggravating, but after two hours of walking around feeling like a lost child, I finally found everything on my list for the get–together
that I was hosting at my house. I was really looking forward to the get–together because just a couple weeks ago, I returned home from a two week long

Happy Dying In Joseph Conrad's Heart Of Darkness
One of the most cliché ways to end any type of artistic work, is with a happy ending. So why do artists still use them? Some artists use the stereotypical
happy ending to make their readers happy, or to set a moral. But often the most meaningful stories end in a sense of closure, where not every wrong is
righted, but one or two events lead to a point where several, if not all, characters stabilize their emotions and are able to continue on with their lives.
Joseph Conrad, writer of Heart of Darkness, uses Marlow's lie to Kurtz's fiancee, to give a sense of closure, in order to carry out major themes.
"'I heard his very last words...' I stopped in a fright.
'Repeat them,' she murmured in a heart–broken tone. ' I want–I want–something–something–to–to live with.'... ' His last word–to live with,' she insisted.
'Don't you understand I loved him–I loved him–I loved him.'
'I pulled myself together and spoke slowly. The last word he pronounced was–your name.'" (Conrad 76–77)
Filling out most of the last two pages in Heart of Darkness this conversation, between Charlie Marlow and Mr. Kurtz's fiancee, is one of the last
complete thoughts that the reader is left with after reading Heart of Darkness. Taken out of context, this quote is powerful, and obviously any
conversation between a grieving widow and the only man who knew her husband's last words would be loaded with emotion and pain. But this
conversation reaches a new height once it is revealed that Marlow lied to protect Kurtz's fiancee. Marlow goes on to tell her reaction was one of
"triumph and of unspeakable pain" (Conrad 77). This whole section in Heart of Darkness, gives the closure to both Marlow and Kurtz' fiancee that
Conrad used to continue his themes. Analyzing this section of text, one notices a large amount of Em dashes, which are typically used in place of
commas to portray more emphasis. Thus Conrad was probably using these marks to show how distraught the pair are. A second thing that one finds in
this section of text is a use of imagery and examples of darkness vs light that are found across the entire book. All of these literary devices compound
into an air of darkness and uncertainty which are counteracted by Marlow's lie, after which the Em

Christmas Stories: Angel´s Dust
Christmas stories Angel's Dust
The darkness of the Sorting Room echoed the pain Jeff Marlow felt in his heart. He worked alone, the clatter of the machine bouncing off the walls.
The rest went home hours ago. It was as it should be; after all, they had families. A husband or wife would be waiting with a welcome hug and kiss.
Children anticipating the morning would be dancing around a tree strung with brightly colored lights. Perhaps their parents would give as he did so
many years ago. Each little boy or girl could select one present of their choice to open on Christmas Eve. He closed his eyes; he could almost hear their
squeals of delight. Jeff dumped another bag of mail in the sorter. As the machine ran, he let his mind wander. After giving him a good–bye kiss, Barbie
smiled as she watched their little Joy kiss her daddy. Barbie handed him a lace handkerchief to wipe off the smear of peanut butter and jelly. How he
wished for that lace hankie now. He had searched the ruins only finding ashes. "I love you, daddy," she said, hugging him close.
Whispering in her ear, he said, "I love you, too, Joy Princess."
"It'll be Christmas when you get home, won't it?"
"Yes, my sweet." They echoed in his mind the last words he said to his wonderful little daughter.

Once Upon A Time… There Were Two Cats, Katy And Alto, Who
Once upon a time... there were two cats, Katy and Alto, who lived in a boring little town. During the long summers they would bathe in the sun and sit
at the windows watching the birds fly by. Now, all of this was great, but after a couple months, they began to get bored and wanted something new and
exciting to do. Luckily for them, it was beginning to get cold outside, which meant it was almost their favorite time of the year, Christmas!
Why do Katy and Alto love Christmas time so much? For Alto, Christmas is the time of year when the great Christmas tree comes to stay at the house.
She loves hiding under the tree, drinking the tree's water, running circles around the tree, and playing with the ornaments that are placed on the tree for

Katy had already lain down for her mid–afternoon nap and did not want to get up or play any of Alto's silly little games. Unfortunately for Katy, Alto is
very persistent and does not give up until she gets what she wants. (She likes to remind the humans of this persistence when they do not feed her
quickly enough!) Eventually Katy gave in and walked over to the tree with Alto. She tasted some of the water and thought to herself, "Why do I let Alto
talk me into these things; there is nothing weird about this water!" But just as she was thinking this, she began to feel what Alto had described, and
before they knew it, they were being transported to a place they had never seen before.
"Woah! Where are we!?" said Alto. "There's so much snow; let's run around in it!"
Katy was not as impressed because she likes to stay curled up in her favorite chair at home and this was definitely not her favorite chair or anywhere
near home. Alto soon realized that the snow maybe was not as great as she had first thought. The snow was cold and wet. Cats do not like to be cold
and wet. Even though they each had some issues with this new place, they were determined to figure out where they were and how they got there. So,
they began to explore.
As they were walking around, Katy saw something small and green run into a big building off in the distance. Obviously they were not going to pass up
the chance to check this out, so they ran in the direction of the building to

The next few days Santa and the elves practiced tightening and relaxing their muscles time after time until everyone can find that place to relax in their

Christmas Tree Essay
During the holidays, a tree will go up somewhere in the household at some undecided time. It varies from year to year, but the Christmas tree will
usually go up in my room because I prefer to have a Christmas tree, whereas my parents could go without one. The Christmas tree goes up when it is
most convenient, which varies from year to year. Sometimes this is towards the end of Thanksgiving break, but other times it may not be until two or
three weeks into December. My family has had real trees in the past but real trees are kind of a hassle. Because of this, we have stuck with artificial
trees the past few years. When we used to get a real tree, my father would buy one of the trees for sale at Marketplace and set it up by himself. Once ...

Apart from these few things, there are very few other decorations. My mother owns a Christmas Village but does not normally put it on display because
my dad says it causes too much clutter. This year, my mother put a portion of her display on a card table she set up and my father asked if she was
preparing for a thrift sale, she wasn't. We used to hang simple, red stockings in the living room. We no longer hang stockings and have not done so in
years. I had discovered where Santa's gifts come from at an early age, so certain traditions that revolved around Santa came to a quick halt. When my
cousins and I were younger, we would all make sugar cookies with our Nana.
We would cut out the cookies into shapes, such as a star, stocking, or snowman. Then we would decorate the cookies with multiple colors of frosting
and red and green sprinkles. There was not an order to who cut out what shapes or who decorated what shapes. This tradition had stopped relatively
quickly, once my eldest cousin had reached high school. Now if I bake during the holidays, I try out recipes I find on Pinterest and bake by myself. I
normally enjoy them myself and leave extras in the fridge for my parents. Other times when I have made extra baked goods I will gift them to others. I
thoroughly enjoy listening to Christmas music, even before Thanksgiving is over. During the months of November and December, I am usually

The S3 Movement and Staging Unit began with the class looking at and learning about different positions of staging such as End On and Traverse.
After that, we moved onto looking at different types of movement and how to use them. We also carried out lots of different movement warm–ups
before going onto planning and rehearsing a Christmas movement piece. We eventually performed our piece to a target audience of our choice.
There are three stages to properly warming up the body. The first stage is 'Cardiovascular' exercises, this should increase the heart rate and warm up the
muscles, activities such as running or jumping games are perfect for this. The next stage is the warming and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

To show a higher position of power, I used a lot of space of stage and was positioned downstage near the audience. This helped develop the storyline as
it helped the audience get to know the characters and the stressful and unhappy relationship between Santa and Mrs Claus.
However, when Lewis played the family's teenage son, he used very closed body language with minimal hand gestures or eye contact so show he is a
shut off teenager. He also take up little space on stage with a very rounded posture so that he isn't noticed.
Stylised movement is abstract movement that conveys an object, activity, feeling or place. It can be used in many different ways for example mime or
choreographed dance routines are popular. Normally done to music, stylist movement is fun, holds almost endless possibilities and is a very effective
technique to use.
In our piece, the elves used stylised movement to show a 'dance off' after smashing the magic snow globe. They were positioned on centre/left centre
stage. The dance had accurate timing and a fast speed. The dance was choreographed and involved no sound. This added lots of comedy and taught me
how to use dance in a stylised movement piece.
My whole class was involved in this performance. I played Mrs Claus and the Mother, Greg played the Father, Rachel played the Daughter and Lewis
had the part of the Son. The elves were played by Ben G, Kieran and Paula, Luca as the Villain

Christmas Colors : Christmas And Christmas
It was a week before Christmas and Santa was getting prepared. All of the toys were ready, wrapped, and being loaded into the sleigh, but that was all
about to change. Santa was just sitting in his office when Mrs. Claus came in. ¨Here is some hot chocolate,¨ she says and quickly leaves. That was
weird Santa thinks, Mrs. Claus always stays to talk, maybe she's just tired like I am suddenly feeling. Not soon after Santa falls into a deep sleep. When
he wakes up he is not in the north pole anymore. The room he wakes up in is pink, red, and white. ¨These are not Christmas Colors!¨ he exclaims, ¨there
are bows, arrows, and hearts all over the place!¨ Back at the North Pole there's a groundhog sitting at Santa's desk. ¨Wow!¨ says Punxsutawney Phil,
¨What did I just drink!¨
Punxsutawney and Santa aren't the only ones in awe, a large grumpy turkey wakes up from a long nap in some place he is not used to, Pennsylvania!
The Saint Patrick's Day Leprechaun is very worried and confused as well, he took the Turkey's place. He shouldn't worry though because the world's
favorite bunny has his job all taken care of. All over the holiday characters are being switched which means the only holiday left is for Cupid, Easter.

they are tired from delivering all of their potions, they still work to make sure Halloween is everyone's favorite holiday.

Magical Realism In Wolf Whistle
In Lewis Nordan's novel Wolf Whistle, he recounts the true story of Emmett till in a fictional tale. Till was a fourteen–year–old African American boy
who was brutally murdered after whistling at a white woman. He was nearly beaten to death, had his eye gouged out, and was shot in the head, wrapped
in barbed wire, then thrown in the river and held down by a cotton gin fan by two white men. These men were later acquitted of their crimes by a jury
of their peers. This homicide was a major turning point in the civil rights movements that were sweeping across the nation in the 1950s. He was able to
recount the story by referencing real–life events and using symbolism and magical realism. Magical realism is a literary genre that combines realistic
narrative with supernatural elements of dreams or fantasy.
Some great examples of magical realism are: Mrs. Gregg's bizarreness, Alice Conroy Flashback, and Bobo demon eye. Mrs. Gregg had such an extreme
stutter that she could not be understood unless she spoke to the tune of "Here Comes Santa Claus." In this example, her stutter is a realistic narrative,
and "Santa Claus had broken her chains and set her free," (page. 17). Santa Claus had not literally allowed her to speak, but for some odd reason,
thinking and speaking to that specific tune allowed her to be understood.

How Does Advertising Persuade One Person?
There are many ways advertisement can persuade one person to buy the specific product. Making advertisements is not an easy task. It takes a lot of
time to make one good advertisement. Before even start making an advertisement, they need to determine who will be the audience. Whenever
someone open television, they will see many kinds of advertisement playing every single minute, however, only one can successfully persuade
someone with their product. To persuade them they need to play it on correct time and channel. The more powerful advertisement is, the more
impression it going to leave on the audience. As In the article "How Advertisement Persuade," Catherine Gourley explains the process into four

the product to a specific audience. Also they have to make persuasive messages to the audience so that they spend their money on that specific product.

Santa Clause Importance
How Santa Claus is Important to American Culture
Santa Claus has developed an American culture that will never change during the holidays. In a recent poll, it has been recorded that 86 percent of
people believed in Santa as a child. Even though there is a multiethnic status that comes with living in America, over 60 percent of children actually
consider Santa to be an important part of their celebration. It is evident that American culture is built around this mythical being during the holiday
season. His creation has a lot to do with why Americans act the way they do when Christmas comes around. The creation of Santa Claus is something
that has been engraved into the minds of the majority in American culture. His mythical presence encourages things like giving, niceness, being family
oriented, gifts, shopping, but most of all putting a smile on your kids face.
If there's one thing that this mythical being is known for, it's the importance he plays in American culture is the amount of shopping it causes is us to
do. Because Santa was someone that was known for getting multiple kids to whoever was nice, people had no choice to play Santa's role once they got
over the fact that he's actually made up. Santa Claus has caused Americans to play Santa for their households, ensuring that everyone gets the gifts that
they want, and a little something for themselves. This culture leads to the fact that the average American spends quite a bit of money during the
holidays. "In 2015,

White the mice a cheese block. Then he gave Maleficent a fish. Santa gave hennery a new red collar with a note. Red was his favorite color. Then he
gave Nimue a new beanie hat with a note too! It was also red. Hennery watched Santa as he filled the stockings with goodies. He placed presents under
the tree. As Hennery watched Santa go up the chimney he gave him a bark. Hennery carried Nimue up to her bedroom. He remembered the adventure
they had that today. He will always cherish this year's Christmas Eve. Hennery dozed off by Nimue's crib just as Mr. and Mrs. Cuccia had left them. In

Childhood Conspiracy Theory: Growing Up In A Multicultural...
Childhood Conspiracy Theory Growing up in a multicultural family, there were always many stories being shared. From my mother's side, I heard
traditional American stories and on my father's side, there were diverse stories from Barbados. There were many stories from both cultures that were
similar, but the only one that was consistent across the board (except for the color of his skin) was Santa Claus. In both cultures, he is the big cheery
man that comes down the chimney every Christmas Eve and delivers presents to all the nice girls and boys all over the world. He is the man who was
always watching you. If you don't behave, you'll find coal in your stocking. My parents played with this story for as long as they possibly could. They
falsified letters from the North Pole, their friends pretend they were Mrs. Claus, and pretended our drunk neighbor on his snowmobile was Santa riding
his sleigh in our front yard. For a while, I believed everything they said, but nothing lasts forever. My brother and I were firm believers in Santa Claus,
even though there were obvious signs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, adults threatening children throughout the year saying that, "Santa is always watching." Is it just be an easy way for them to have children be on
their best behavior at all times? Additionally, another theory that I have heard is that Santa Claus is a way for Satan to take Christ out of Christmas.
People say that he tries to make giving and receiving gifts more important than the birth of Christ, but I don't feed into this assumption. I feel as though
parents and large corporations are the ones behind the

The Polar Express
All Aboard! : A Comparison and Contrast of The Polar Express Book and Movie The Polar Express is a classic children's Christmas story written by
acclaimed author Chris Von Allsburg. Chris Von Allsburg writes and illustrates all of his books and won the Caldecott medal for The Polar Express. The
Polar Express is a Christmas story of getting a kid to believe in Santa. The boy climbs aboard a train to go to the North Pole to see Santa. He is the one
chosen to receive the first gift of Christmas, which was a silver bell off of the reindeers. He cannot hear it at first, but then he finally lets himself believe
in Santa and can hear the bell for the rest of his life. The movie The Polar Express is the only adaptation that has been made from the ... Show more

Also in the movie the train almost had an accident unlike the book. They put this in the movie so it could build up to that scene as a climax to scare the
viewers that something might happen. In the trailer for the movie, it even shows the train getting into an accident so the viewers will want to go see
what happens to the train. As well as the movie adding the songs, it also added the kids getting a special ticket. Each child had a certain a letter at the
beginning of their train ride, punched by the conductor. When the kids were done experiencing the North Pole, the conductor punched out a word
pertaining to each kid. The main kid got the word believe punched into his ticket because he did not believe in Santa at the beginning of the movie. The
African American girl got leader punched into her ticket because she was the one that always knew what to do. The poor boy, Billy, also got believe
because he didn't think Santa was real either. This leads into the most important difference between the book and the movie. In the movie it depicts that
going to the North Pole to see Santa was all a dream, while in the book it made it all seem real. When children go see this movie, they might think that
since the boy is having a dream that Santa must not be real. A lot of research has been done about kids believing in Santa. Gail Vines wrote about "the
Santa delusion" from psychologist's perspectives. According to Gail Vines (2007), children are able to

Mr. Christmas: An Elf Girl
An elf girl and a human girl team up to save Christmas from a ruthless toy maker who has put Santa out of business.
BRIEF SYNOPSIS
TUCKER TATE aka "Mr. Christmas" is putting Santa and Santa's toys out of business. EMMA (9) is disappointed when Santa doesn't show up. She's
mad at her mother MAGGIE (38) for moving in with Tucker.
At the North Pole, an elf girl HOLLY (9) is disappointed when Santa Claus decides to shut down the toy workshop. He won't be delivering any more
gifts for Christmas.
Holly's father, LLOYD, decides to move to New York. He gives Holly a toy carousel to deliver to Emma after Santa forgot to deliver it. Holly holds up
the small carousel, wiggles her ears, and it starts to sparkle and spin with Christmas Magic.
Unhappy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, because she's an elf the idea of her having magic powers isn't as unique as the idea of a human girl learning that she has the ability to make
magical toys.
There are a lot of different paths or directions the story can take and it will all depend on the true goal, as well as the inner struggle and emotional goal
of the main protagonist.
Right now as structured, the pace feels sluggish. That's because the main protagonist isn't clear and because the goal is not well defined until ate. Once
the goal is established it gives the script more focus. This is really where the real story begins. The story becomes much more engaging when the girls
decide to make magically toys and compete with Mr. Christmas.
Maybe add a contest where the toys compete against each other and the kids decide what are the best toys with the stakes being Christmas. To add more
tension, maybe Tucker sabotages Holly and she lose her magical powers or abilities (the all is lost moment) and then she figures out how to get her
magic back to defeat

Descriptive Essay About A Christmas Tree

  • 1. Descriptive Essay About A Christmas Tree "This one? No.." "This one? Nope." "What about this one?" Here I go getting chosen to be taken home to a family, a house, and a new life! "I really like that one,"said a small girl. "Me too," added an older sister. I have been waiting to be the perfect size, perfect height, and perfect color. I have heard so many great things about the holiday! The food, the presents, the love towards others, but most importantly the birth of our savior, Jesus. I hope this family chooses me to be there new Christmas tree! "How much will the Christmas tree on the left be," Asked the families father. And if you get to see Santa, tell him that I don't need anything for christmas this year. I just want a girl in my class to become healthy and have a long life. I don't know if you can hear me but thanks Christmas Tree." And she gave me a BIG hug! Almost knocking the ornaments off of me. "It's Christmas Eve!" Ava called running down the hall towards her parents bedroom. "Mommy! Can I have my present now?" "Not until your brother and sister wake up." " But Mom you know how excited I am. And it's a tradition to always open one present on Christmas Eve." As the older siblings came down stairs they opened only one present. Like always they got new pajamas. Guests started to arrive at the house, causing the house to get louder. Ava and her cousin Aubree came running towards me. "This is my best friend" said Ava pointing at me. "Awww, It's nice to meet you Mr. Christmas Tree" said Aubree. As the night came to an end all of the kids were in their pajamas, the stockings were hung to be filled, presents were placed under me, and cookies were waiting for Santa. Sure enough Santa arrived as the house became silent. I told Santa all about how Ava kept me company throughout my visit and what she wanted for Christmas. When Christmas morning came the ... Write a short story (5 to 7 paragraphs) about Rudolph quitting and what his new plan are. I spent a lot of my time alone, sitting on the floor of the stable I shared with a friendly mouse. The mouse tried to talk to me, always going, "Hey, hey Rudolph? All your reindeer buddies are outside. They're jumpin' in all the snow, and boy, does it look fun. You know they out there shoutin' your name, right? Like they want you to join? How bout it, man? You could really cheer up." Little did that mouse know that those reindeer were the worst of the worst. Gifted with flight, like I was, they took that power to their head. They thought they were better than all the other reindeer. They were incredibly strong and fast, and they loved Mr. Santa Claus selecting them to pull his sleigh. I've already found some nice little leaf scraps to give to my mouse friend, and I've got a bag packed full of shoes, food, and some scarves, in case it gets chilly. However, I've got some problems with my plan. I've done some research on reindeer with glowing noses. First of all, they don't exist. Second, glowing things attracts bugs and humans. Third, I've only grown up eating leaves up North, so if I move further South, I don't know what I'll eat! I could grow a garden with the plants I brought, sure, but will I be able to actually make a garden? Hooves and antlers can only do so much. Also, my little mouthy mouse buddy will probably say something to the other deer about where I'm headed. He tells me I talk in my sleep, and when sleeping, I can't protect myself from saying the wrong things. I don't want to take him with me, though, and I certainly have never killed anything ... • 7. Is Santa Really Real Research Paper Is Santa Claus Really Real? BY– Aadi Christmas is around the corner and excitement is on. Santa is checking off his last list of gifts and everyone is happy. But wait, is there a real Santa anyways? The long–awaited moment of truth has recently been discovered and it proves that Santa, the red–suited guy who hopped through our chimneys, is real. Many adults, nowadays, once used to believe– when they were kids that Santa is Real and he comes with his reindeers to give them gifts, unfortunately, it was not really the Santa who came and gifted them, but it was their parents. The myths of the existence of Santa was still like a mystery to a lot. Mr. Torda, a Biology teacher in the Mayfield High school and the head of the Science Department, said, " When I was a kid, I wondered if Santa was real or not. Like when my parents used to say to me, There is this guy named Santa, who had a workshop and build all the toys, wraps them, deliver them and like that." Many kids in the present moment wonder about Santa, and the reindeers, and the stories of Santa make them believe that a guy with flying reindeers would ride his sleigh all the way to give the kids, some awesome presents. ... R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, and by RIOT Games League of Legends Elven Friends Once upon a time, there was a small village in the North Pole named Christmas Bear's Town. This town was joyful, colorful. Everywhere you looked there was snow, candy canes and lights decorated all the light posts that where lined up at the main road. The village had one of several Santa's Workshops, a bakery, a place of gathering known as "The Plaza", and the center of The Plaza there was such a big Christmas tree that would go past the clouds, and the houses would be spread around in a way that all the elves could see each and greet each other. Christmas Bear's Town inhabitants were always joyful, positive, and friendly, but at the same time, they were respectful and responsible. They all had pointy ears, silly pointy shoes, different hats with a bell at the top, and they all wore different colors that would match their personality. The thing that made this village special, was that even though everyone was different, this didn't stop them from being nice to each other. One day the plaza was so much more lively than usual, the elves that lived in Christmas Bear's Town were buzzing with excitement and whispering to each other that they heard there was a newcomer in town! • 17. The Gift of the Magi Argument Paper The Gift of the Magi Argumentative Research Paper: Did Jim and Della perform an act of Selfless Love? Abstract The story was written by O'Henry in 1906. The story was centered around a seemingly poor couple who did not have enough money to buy each other the gifts that their significant other deserved. The story took place during Christmas. The Gift of the Magi is like a classic wisdom story in the bible. O'Henrys choice of title depicts symbolism between the three magi that brought gold, frankincense, and mur, to the baby Jesus and the gifts that Jim and Della had given to each other which mainly consisted of selfless love, Della's hair and Jims pocket watch. This itself ties into the theme of his story. These gifts all entail the act ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This leads to her idea of selling her most prized possession: her hair, to get Jim his present. Meanwhile, Jim decides to sell his most prized possession which was a pocket–watch that was passed down from his grandfather to his father and then to him. He sells that watch and buys Della a set of beautiful tortoise shell combs for her hair. Thus leading to the use of situational irony in which they both receive gifts for something they gave up in order to give the other a gift. Jim and Della perform an act of selfless love by their willingness to give something that held great value to them in order to get special presents for each other on Christmas. They do all of this out of love for the other. However, you will see that these gives prove to end up having no use in the end but that is not the main point. The main point is that although this ironic situation occurs, they both find joy in the thought that they would do this for each other. This love that they have for each other is far greater value than any gift that could be given. Jim doesn't overreact or get angry with this conclusion. Rather, he tells Stella, "Let's put our Christmas Present away and keep' em a while. They're too nice to use just at present." Although they no longer had use for their gifts the mere fact that they would such a selfless act of love was more rewarding than any other gift. This in itself is wise. • 21. Research Paper On Santa Claus Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas, and Chris Kringle are names associated with the most well–known figure among all children as Santa Claus. Currently, Santa lives in the North Pole with his wife Mrs. Claus, reindeer, and his elves who create toys to give to all of the nice children. For many, the act of making and delivering presents to all the little boys and girls of the world may appear magical to children and adults but there is evidence proving that it is all smoke and mirrors. In fact, devising a trip, delivering the presents, and the eating of cookies can be explained by science and physics. Believers of Santa's magic contribute the fact that Santa is able to travel around the entire world in one night as proof of his magical authenticity. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some believers of Santa's magic may state that he is able to eat all of these cookies because his stomach has magical properties, allowing him to consume mass amounts of sweets and use it as fuel. From the point of view of a scientist, this can be explained through the fact that Santa and his sleigh expend a lot of energy and "Assuming Santa comes fully laden with all the toys delivered to children across the world, he has somewhere around a million tonnes of toys to deliver, assuming about 4.5 pounds (2 kg) of toys per household" (Siegel 1). With Santa expending so much energy he would need to eat the sweets to power him and maybe even his sleigh by turning "...those milk and cookies into energy via Einstein's E=mc^2" (Siegel 1). A statement previously mentioned, stated that Santa's belly is magical and therefore allows Santa to regain his energy. According to science, it would be impossible for Santa to eat millions of cookies in one night, even if they were as a replenishment for his depleted energy. Since it is physically impossible for Santa to eat millions of cookies in one night, "He takes many cookies back to the North Pole with him. One of his favorite activities after he returns home is to separate all the cookies and remember where they came from. And he will eat them one by one." (Westover 1). This ... • 23. Descriptive Essay About Christmas I looked out the living room window and saw my parents hanging up our Christmas lights in the soft, falling snow. The aroma of gingerbread cookies floated in the air. I was wrapped up in a fuzzy, red blanket lounging on our black, leather couch, watching the Christmas special on tv. It was Christmas Eve so as usual my parents who were the last minute kind of people were hanging up the rest of our Christmas decorations and lights. Here in Riverbend Estates, everyone went all out with the Christmas decorations. Walking down our street was the most magical feeling. When I peered outside once more, I noticed that my parents were having trouble blowing up our huge, inflatable Santa Claus that sings carols. I knew that they would need my assistance, so I hopped off the couch, slid my feet into my soft winter boots, threw a coat on and headed out the door. As soon as I stepped out the door and the cool air blew softly against my face, arousing my long, blond hair, I could tell that this would be the most magical Christmas ever. The snow was softly falling and everybody's Christmas lights illuminated the whole street with a soft, Christmas glow. I then jogged over to where my parents were. They looked especially relieved to see me. "Boy are we glad to see you Belly!" my Dad announced. "I've told you a million times not to call me Belly! It sounds outragously ridiculous!" I cried out angrily, "Call me BELLA please!" "Ok Bella, I'm sorry," my dad apologized, laughing,"Look we need your help. There is a hole in Santa's hat. Can you please climb up this ladder and patch it up?" I agreed to help my parents as long as they gave me extra gingerbread cookies later. I climbed up the orange ladder, as my dad held onto it for extra support. When I reached the top of the ladder I could see the gaping hole in poor Santa's hat. As I reached out to patch the hole I suddenly lost my balance. I felt myself falling through the air, so I braced myself for impact. I heard my mom scream and then everything went black. It turns out that I didn't get knocked out. THere was simply a power outage. I felt kind of dizzy though so my dad scooped me up in his arms and brought me inside to lay on the couch for awhile. Children seem to be more gullible and believe anything you tell them; they do not know the difference between a lie and the truth. During the Christmas of 2003, I was five years old and still believed in Santa Claus. The fact of believing in Santa Claus expresses the innocence of a child and brings the magic to Christmas. My trip to Walmart was long and very aggravating, but after two hours of walking around feeling like a lost child, I finally found everything on my list for the get–together that I was hosting at my house. I was really looking forward to the get–together because just a couple weeks ago, I returned home from a two week long cruise in the Caribbeans and I was excited to get to catch up with my friends again. • 29. Happy Dying In Joseph Conrad's Heart Of Darkness One of the most cliché ways to end any type of artistic work, is with a happy ending. So why do artists still use them? Some artists use the stereotypical happy ending to make their readers happy, or to set a moral. But often the most meaningful stories end in a sense of closure, where not every wrong is righted, but one or two events lead to a point where several, if not all, characters stabilize their emotions and are able to continue on with their lives. 'Don't you understand I loved him–I loved him–I loved him.' 'I pulled myself together and spoke slowly. The last word he pronounced was–your name.'" (Conrad 76–77) Filling out most of the last two pages in Heart of Darkness this conversation, between Charlie Marlow and Mr. Kurtz's fiancee, is one of the last complete thoughts that the reader is left with after reading Heart of Darkness. Taken out of context, this quote is powerful, and obviously any conversation between a grieving widow and the only man who knew her husband's last words would be loaded with emotion and pain. But this conversation reaches a new height once it is revealed that Marlow lied to protect Kurtz's fiancee. Marlow goes on to tell her reaction was one of "triumph and of unspeakable pain" (Conrad 77). This whole section in Heart of Darkness, gives the closure to both Marlow and Kurtz' fiancee that Conrad used to continue his themes. Analyzing this section of text, one notices a large amount of Em dashes, which are typically used in place of commas to portray more emphasis. Thus Conrad was probably using these marks to show how distraught the pair are. A second thing that one finds in this section of text is a use of imagery and examples of darkness vs light that are found across the entire book. All of these literary devices compound into an air of darkness and uncertainty which are counteracted by Marlow's lie, after which the Em ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Perhaps their parents would give as he did so many years ago. Each little boy or girl could select one present of their choice to open on Christmas Eve. • 45. Christmas Tree Essay During the holidays, a tree will go up somewhere in the household at some undecided time. It varies from year to year, but the Christmas tree will usually go up in my room because I prefer to have a Christmas tree, whereas my parents could go without one. The Christmas tree goes up when it is most convenient, which varies from year to year. Sometimes this is towards the end of Thanksgiving break, but other times it may not be until two or three weeks into December. My family has had real trees in the past but real trees are kind of a hassle. Because of this, we have stuck with artificial trees the past few years. We used to hang simple, red stockings in the living room. We no longer hang stockings and have not done so in years. I had discovered where Santa's gifts come from at an early age, so certain traditions that revolved around Santa came to a quick halt. When my cousins and I were younger, we would all make sugar cookies with our Nana. We would cut out the cookies into shapes, such as a star, stocking, or snowman. Then we would decorate the cookies with multiple colors of frosting and red and green sprinkles. There was not an order to who cut out what shapes or who decorated what shapes. This tradition had stopped relatively quickly, once my eldest cousin had reached high school. Now if I bake during the holidays, I try out recipes I find on Pinterest and bake by myself. I normally enjoy them myself and leave extras in the fridge for my parents. Other times when I have made extra baked goods I will gift them to others. After that, we moved onto looking at different types of movement and how to use them. We also carried out lots of different movement warm–ups before going onto planning and rehearsing a Christmas movement piece. We eventually performed our piece to a target audience of our choice. • 57. Magical Realism In Wolf Whistle In Lewis Nordan's novel Wolf Whistle, he recounts the true story of Emmett till in a fictional tale. Till was a fourteen–year–old African American boy who was brutally murdered after whistling at a white woman. He was nearly beaten to death, had his eye gouged out, and was shot in the head, wrapped in barbed wire, then thrown in the river and held down by a cotton gin fan by two white men. These men were later acquitted of their crimes by a jury of their peers. This homicide was a major turning point in the civil rights movements that were sweeping across the nation in the 1950s. He was able to recount the story by referencing real–life events and using symbolism and magical realism. Magical realism is a literary genre that combines realistic narrative with supernatural elements of dreams or fantasy. Some great examples of magical realism are: Mrs. Gregg's bizarreness, Alice Conroy Flashback, and Bobo demon eye. Mrs. Gregg had such an extreme stutter that she could not be understood unless she spoke to the tune of "Here Comes Santa Claus." In this example, her stutter is a realistic narrative, and "Santa Claus had broken her chains and set her free," (page. 17). Santa Claus had not literally allowed her to speak, but for some odd reason, thinking and speaking to that specific tune allowed her to be understood. In a recent poll, it has been recorded that 86 percent of people believed in Santa as a child. Even though there is a multiethnic status that comes with living in America, over 60 percent of children actually consider Santa to be an important part of their celebration. It is evident that American culture is built around this mythical being during the holiday season. His creation has a lot to do with why Americans act the way they do when Christmas comes around. The creation of Santa Claus is something that has been engraved into the minds of the majority in American culture. His mythical presence encourages things like giving, niceness, being family oriented, gifts, shopping, but most of all putting a smile on your kids face. If there's one thing that this mythical being is known for, it's the importance he plays in American culture is the amount of shopping it causes is us to do. Because Santa was someone that was known for getting multiple kids to whoever was nice, people had no choice to play Santa's role once they got over the fact that he's actually made up. Santa Claus has caused Americans to play Santa for their households, ensuring that everyone gets the gifts that they want, and a little something for themselves. This culture leads to the fact that the average American spends quite a bit of money during the holidays. "In 2015, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

From my mother's side, I heard traditional American stories and on my father's side, there were diverse stories from Barbados. There were many stories from both cultures that were similar, but the only one that was consistent across the board (except for the color of his skin) was Santa Claus. In both cultures, he is the big cheery man that comes down the chimney every Christmas Eve and delivers presents to all the nice girls and boys all over the world. He is the man who was always watching you. If you don't behave, you'll find coal in your stocking. My parents played with this story for as long as they possibly could. They falsified letters from the North Pole, their friends pretend they were Mrs. Claus, and pretended our drunk neighbor on his snowmobile was Santa riding his sleigh in our front yard. They put this in the movie so it could build up to that scene as a climax to scare the viewers that something might happen. In the trailer for the movie, it even shows the train getting into an accident so the viewers will want to go see what happens to the train. As well as the movie adding the songs, it also added the kids getting a special ticket. Each child had a certain a letter at the beginning of their train ride, punched by the conductor. When the kids were done experiencing the North Pole, the conductor punched out a word pertaining to each kid. The main kid got the word believe punched into his ticket because he did not believe in Santa at the beginning of the movie. The African American girl got leader punched into her ticket because she was the one that always knew what to do. The poor boy, Billy, also got believe because he didn't think Santa was real either. This leads into the most important difference between the book and the movie. In the movie it depicts that going to the North Pole to see Santa was all a dream, while in the book it made it all seem real. When children go see this movie, they might think that since the boy is having a dream that Santa must not be real. A lot of research has been done about kids believing in Santa.
