Desciptive Essay
Crafting a descriptive essay about oneself can be a challenging endeavor, as it demands a
delicate balance between self-reflection and objectivity. The task involves not only narrating
personal experiences but also portraying them vividly enough to evoke a sensory and emotional
response from the reader. Striking the right tone is crucial – it requires a blend of humility,
self-awareness, and an artistic touch to transform ordinary details into a compelling narrative.
The difficulty lies in avoiding the extremes – on one hand, self-aggrandizement risks
alienating the reader, while on the other, excessive modesty may result in a lackluster essay.
Balancing authenticity with the need to engage the reader's interest can be a tightrope walk.
Selecting the right details to highlight becomes pivotal, as the essay should neither be a laundry
list of accomplishments nor a catalog of shortcomings.
Furthermore, introspection is a demanding process, necessitating a willingness to delve into one's
own thoughts and emotions. Expressing oneself effectively requires a mastery of language and a
keen understanding of how to convey the nuances of personal experiences. The challenge is to
create a narrative that resonates universally while remaining unique to the individual.
In conclusion, writing a descriptive essay about oneself is no small feat. It demands a careful
dance between transparency and tact, self-reflection and relatability. Striking the right chord
requires a nuanced approach, making it a task that goes beyond mere self-expression. If the
challenge proves overwhelming, remember that help is readily available. Similar essays and much
more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net, offering assistance in navigating the intricacies of
personal narrative and descriptive writing.

Music, Language, And Characters In The Hobbit
Did you know that in The Hobbit many magical creatures like the goblins, elves,
and dwarves sing songs that reveal many things about them. In this novel music
plays a role in the development of the story and characters. The different creatures
songs vary in tone, content, and structure that reveal many things about the magical
creatures. First, after the dwarves or the unexpected party arrived they sang a song
about an adventure that they would ask Bilbo to join and what it was about. The
tone of the song was to persuade and inspire Bilbo to agree to go. For example the
dwarves sand, Far over the Misty Mountainscold. This line was repeated multiple
times in the song and caused Bilbo s Tookish side to want to see the great
mountains and go on an adventure. The poem s content consisted of explaining
the reasons to go on the adventure. They sung, To win our harps and gold from him.
This explains that they must return to their ancestors land to win back the riches
that were taken by Smaug. There also was a lot of rhyme in this song, Tolkien
states the dwarves sing Far over the misty mountains cold To dungeons deep and
caverns old We must away ere break of day To seek the pale and enchanted gold.
This is a great example of rhyme the ending sounds of cold, old, and gold sound
alike. The tone, content, and structure signal features about the dwarves. This song
showed that the dwarves are very adventurous and brave. Since they must cross back
over the dangerous,
The Balance Of Chaos And Cosmos
The thought of the early Greeks demonstrates the overall balance of chaos and
cosmos in our universe. This is expressed with many of the Pre Socratic
philosophers. When viewing the early Greeks, we can see many different
expressions of chaos and cosmos in the universe. These views, or logos, range from
terrible evils, such as Nyx s tilting from cosmos to chaos in Hesiod s world view, to
greater goods, such as Anaximanders argument of natural order. This is not to say that
they are complete in the idea of rationalism, but together, they can create a stronger
standing of the balance in the universe. When it comes to defining what balance in
the universe is, there are several aspects to consider. First, one must understand
what chaos, cosmos, and logos are. Chaos is defined as disorder; cosmos is
defined as order; logos is defined and a human view of the world and what they
consider to be order. Hesiod uses these in his poem, Theogony, to describe the
origins of the Greek gods. He uses chaos and cosmos in a different way throughout
his poem. Chaos being a god, and cosmos being the universe. This can become tricky
when trying to determine where chaos, cosmos, and logos of philosophyare located.
There was cosmos expressed when Nyx, the goddess of night, and her daughter
Hemera, who is the goddess of light, go through a cycle of one going into the house,
and the other coming out. [W]here Night and Day greet each other. As they pass over

Latin American Revolution Thesis
When you think of a revolution that was the most impactful what do you think of?
Most people would think of the French Revolution or maybe the American
Revolution. But most people wouldn t think of the Latin American Revolution. The
Latin American Revolution is overlooked by most of society when in reality it is
one of the most important revolutions of the 18th and 19th centuries. And most
importantly, the revolution showed Latin Americans that their voices could be
heard and they had a say in the major aspects of their lives. When a revolution
starts, it takes a large group of people who passionately want change and they have
to be willing to risk their lives. The passion needed for a revolution was the passion
the Latin Americans had. In
Absorbance Experiment With Turnip Peroxidase
Introduction
Enzyme can be defined as a protein molecule that is a biological catalyst. (Ophardt,
2003) Catalyst increases the speed of a reaction but does not have to use anything to
help increase the speed. An enzyme can be determined by their properties. Enzyme
are a substrate specific, substrate connects to an enzyme at the location of an active
site. Enzyme is not used in a reaction and enzyme function in a good condition at the
optimum temperatures and pH. (Ahmez2005) Peroxidase is a type of enzyme which
is used in the experiment.
The type of peroxidase is used is called turnip peroxidase. Turnip peroxidase is made
up of Guaiacol and hydrogen peroxide. The reactants to the product are turnip
peroxidase or called tertraguaiacol and water. The color of the react is brown. In the
experiment was conducted there were baseline experiment, temperature, pH, 10X
substrate, Inhibitor, and half the amount of enzyme.
The baseline experiment is the control group. If the time increases over a period a
time then turnip hydrogen peroxidase will increase absorbance.
The temperature can have a major impact on an enzyme. According to Campbell
Biology author Reece etc. 2011 The enzyme reaction will increase as the temperature
increase with the increasing temperature....substrates collide with active sites more
frequently when the molecules move rapidly. (Reece etc 2011) Every enzyme hits its
optimal temperature the reaction will be at its highest point.(Reece etc. 2011) When

Dental Implant Argumentative Essay
Thinking About Dental Implants? Consider These X Benefits
Cosmetic dentistry is a great solution to fix aesthetic problems you are experiencing
with your teeth. For those that are missing teeth, you have a couple options available
to you. While partial dentures and bridges are a simple way to hide that gap, you may
be thinking about getting dental implants instead. Before you decide, it is important to
understand what dental implants are and several of their benefits.
What Is A Dental Implant?
A dental implant is a permanent solution that will give you a fake tooth that looks,
feels, and functions just like a real tooth. The post for the implant is fused into your
jawbone, which will provide a very firm attachment point for the fake tooth.
Benefits Of Getting A Dental Implant... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The improved appearance will not only improve a smile, but give you a confidence
boost since you know the new tooth looks natural when others see it.
Durability
A dental implant is one of the most durable ways to replace a tooth. The main issue
with alternatives, like bridges and partial dentures, is that they may break and need
to be replaced over time. If the implant is installed correctly and properly maintained,
it can potentially last your entire life.
Improved Speech
Partial or full dentures can slip out of place when wearing them, which causes a
wearer to have difficulty speaking because they are constantly aware of dentures that
could be moving. Implants are fused to your jawbone permanently and will not slip.
You will see improved speech with implants.
Easier Eating
While dentures and bridges do not restrict your eating a whole bunch, extra
consideration needs to go into what you eat to prevent damaging them. Implants are
as strong as your real teeth, so you can treat them exactly how you would if you had
all natural teeth.

Types Of Nonsense Point Mutation
Genetic Disorders of Nonsense Point Mutations
Gene expression is regulated by the cell, and genetic mutations can cause permanent
changes in the cell s genetic material. Specifically, one type of mutation that occurs in
a cell s DNA is a nonsense point mutation. In this type of mutation, a chemical change
in only one nitrogenous base results in a premature stop codon. This causes the
translation to end early. In the given strand of DNA, the nitrogenous base Adenine
was affected. Thymine was substituted in Adenine s place. Therefore, the amino acid
chain was altered, causing a premature stop codon. The sequence no longer continued
after the stop codon was in place due to the mutation. However, if no mutation
occurred, the polypeptide ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hurler syndrome is one of three types of mucopolysaccharidosis and it is the most
severe. The symptoms of Hurler Syndrome usually appear between the ages of
three and eight (Foster, 2017). Many infants with severe Hurler syndrome
demonstrate no symptoms until later in life. A few symptoms of this disorder are
as followed: claw hands, deafness, stunted growth, joint disease, progressive
intellectual disability, and retardation (A.D.A.M, 2017). Moreover, symptoms of
this disease can range from mild to severe. Foster (2017) demonstrates that patients
with this disease have thick, coarse facial features and low nasal bridges. A series
of examinations, such as an EKG and a spinal X ray, can be executed to test for
Hurler Syndrome early on.
Though both disorders are incurable, there is a plethora of treatment options
available. For example, Eteplirsen is an approved injection medication that helps treat
individuals with a specific mutation of the gene that leads to DMD (Anirudh, 2017).
However, the most commonly seen side effects of this treatment option are balance
problems and vomiting. Eteplirsen works by increasing the production of dystrophin
which could ultimately improve muscle function. In addition, surgeries are also
available to fix shortened muscles, straighten the spine, or treat a heart or lung
problem. Steroids such as prednisone slow muscle damage.

Analysis Of Woolf A Room Of One s Own By Virginia Woolf
1.It is significant that Woolf s essay is partly fictional, for it shows her greater
knowledge of her writing, as she was a woman herself writing fiction. She does not
write completely in non fictional mode, as to not stay biased to her views and
experiences, yet to allow the readers to have an open imagination on where the
events that had happened at Oxbridge could also take place.
2. The original occasion of a A Room Of One s Own was to describe Women and
what they are like; ... women and the fiction that they write; or women and the fiction
that is written about them.(Woolf, 3). Woolf addresses women as her audience, and
follows to a great extent the advices she intend them to follow.
3.Woolf characterize Oxbridge as a material place and in terms of its traditions and
conventions, by displaying their unbendable traditions that are kept very strict to their
student. In the narrating, the 300 tradition that a women should not be walking on

Analysis Of A Man Runs Into A Woman
A Man Runs into a Woman by Sarah Jane Barnett There s a lot going on in A Man
Runs into a Woman, yet nothing happens as well. Sarah Jane Barnett explores the
different means of telling an individual s story; a cross dressing father interacts with
her daughter, a couple tries to connect with each other after the war, another couple
leaves the worst unsaid, and two middle aged strike up an unlikely friendship. A
series of stringed distinctive poems tries exploring the grim police reports of the
death of Texas death row inmates and their heartfelt last words, before their
ultimatum. The book is divided in three parts. The middle ones are the longest and is
devoted to the last sentiments of death row prisoners, facing the ultimatum in
America. The links that joins the poems in the second part is the description of the
crimes, what the prisoners had done, which had landed them where they are in the
current scenario. Sarah writes the poems, in a sense, she s announcing to the world of
what she thinks a poem should look like. The Jeffery Levine (2011) website states
that the poems, one writes while urging wittingly or unconsciously is an aesthetic,
that should be the ones that belong in the book (para. 6). Sarah Jane Barnett s main
concerns is with the movement of impact, in slow motion, and its aftermath, as
reflected by the title. It is very introspecting in retrospect, the texts. Although running

The Importance Of A Well Prepared Environment
Maria Montessori inadvertently created an alternative to traditional schooling. She
did this by allowing her pupils the opportunity to learn through action rather than
repetition. Montessori had five main principles: respect for the child, sensitive
periods, the prepared environment, auto education, and the teacher s role. In this
paper I will discuss the prepared environment thoroughly and how a well prepared
environment can positively affect each student in the 3 6 classroom. I will, in
reflection, discuss the negative outcomes that may arise from an ill prepared
classroom.
Sensitive periods are blocks of time in a child s life when the child is absorbed with
one characteristic of the environment to the exclusion of all others (Lillard, 1972,
p.33). These sensitive periods are: a need for order, the use of the hand and tongue,
the development of walking, a fascination with minute and detailed objects, and a
time of intense social interest (Lillard, 1972, p.33).
The first, and most prevalent in a classroom, of the sensitive periods is the need for
order which begins within the first year of life. Rules and routine are important in
a newborn s day; consistency is key to a happy baby (Knestrict, 2015). Rules and
routine in a newborns day gives them the knowledge that their caretakers are able to
be relied on. They know they ll get fed and changed when need be, they ll be put to
bed when they re tired and even get to see new faces routinely (ie. Babysitters,

Understanding Pain
Understanding Pain. Pain is subjective in its measure, self reported by patients and
defined by the individual. There is evidence that pain is under assessed and under
treated, especially in highly sensitive people and vulnerable populations such as the
elderly, individuals who English is a second language and people with disabilities.
Pain affects all aspects of life, physical, emotional, psychological, social and spiritual.
Clinicians in order to be effective need to understand these many aspects of pain
management.

As A Classroom Teacher, How Can You Learn About Your...
As a classroom teacher, how can you learn about your culture and your students
cultures and communities?
Some of the most successful methods used by teachers, even the federal government,
to learn about culture are by letting each student share their culture through food and
explain the history behind their dish. Simply, by appealing to the students to
converse about or share dishes distinctively in their ethnicity, allows the student to
show family values, environment of home, family dynamics and social skills. The
principal way to bring about such a task is, have a cultural food fair. Asking each
student to prepare a preferred dish and assemble information about the preparation

What are common misconceptions about teaching children who are English language
learners? What can you do to support them?
According to the reading of the textbook and general information about the
misconceptions of English learning and teaching is, teachers in conventional
classrooms ought to, as a result, be equipped to teach students who come from
different dialects, cultures, and learning conditions. Each teacher should know to
prepare themselves for the changes experience in their classrooms by reinforcement

classroom teaching. Maybe these workshops should on average start by highlight
these values and characteristics of language differences, thereby allow each teacher s
attainment, that can be understood easily by teachers, when faced with this issue in
their classrooms. Thereby readily preparing each teacher to transform their
Binary Trading And Binary Derivatives
In this paper, you will learn about binary Trading. I will discuss what is binary
trading, and how it s done. How it differs from regular stock market trading. The
technological aspect of it. Then lastly where it s at now.
Binary Trading is the trading of Binary Options. Binary Options are a type option
where the payoff depends on both the price levels of the strike and the underlying
asset, like standard options. If you have a Binary Option contract you are saying that
the market price of the item you are investing in is higher than the strike price, and
the market price does go above the strike price. Then you are in the money or True .
The buyer of the contract would receive a fixed payout amount per contract. If it does

Binary Options are so much different than day trading on the stock market. It offers
flexibility. The three primary differences are expiration time, payout, and how it is
executed.
First , the expiration time is a big difference. Binary options can be made to be short
term as short as a one hour expiration time. This means that with multiple expiration
times investors can make an instant profit on their binary options and can become
more flexible in their option investments. The expiration times can be weekly,
monthly,or even longer terms.
Secondly, the payouts are different than day trading. With regular day trading, an
investor pays per contract. Subsequently, the investor will profit or lose an amount
depending on the number of points difference between the expiration level and the
strike price. In binary options the win or lose outcome is set ahead of time. The
investor knows how much he or she is going to win or lose before they enter the
trade. This can be a serious edge in regular day trading.
Third, expiration is different between binary options and regular day trading. The
investor has to hold onto his binary option until the agreed upon expiration time. This
means that when looking and purchasing options contracts he cannot sell them once
they are purchased. Although there are some brokers who do allow the selling of
contracts once they have been purchased.

The University Of Arizona, Arizona
University of Arizona is one of the greatest school not only in the state of Arizona
but also in the whole US nation. There were so many magnificent people who
graduated from this amazing University, and because of the magic of this college,
some of them choose to live in this beautiful city after they graduated. Fortunately, I
was lucky enough to be a wild cat and interview one of the senior wildcat: Anna
Marie Mesa who attended the UA in the fall semester of 1964. Ms. Mesa is one of
my best friends grandma, she was one of the eldest wildcat that I know. After she got
in the University of Arizona, in addition of excitement, she felt more honorable
because she was the first one went to collegein her whole family. One of the things
she remembered often even now was that her full time tuition in 1964 was only
$93 for fifteen units. I was so shocked because it was such an unbelievable number!
I personally could never imagine pay that less to go to a college without a
scholarship. She laughed after she saw my expression. It s only been five decades
and the tuition raised from less a hundred dollar to five figures, I couldn t even
predict how much the tuition is going to be after another fifty years.
The love of University of Arizona never stopped in Ms. Mesa s heart. She grew up
in Tucson and after she graduated from high school, she didn t considered any other
college but University of Arizona. Since then she had remained a student in some
form for her entire adult life by
Digital Artifact Analysis Project
From videos about dogs doing cute acts to videos about terrorism in the Middle

countries around the world. For my Digital Artifact Analysis Project I decided to
pick a song that I personally love. The song is Closer by The Chainsmokers. With
over 172 million views on Youtube, it is one of the most recognized songs of this
year. This digital artifact would be classified as an entertainment video. While just
appearing as a lovesong of a couple that grew apart, it has many different secret
meanings and ways that people can perceive it. The most powerful line in the song
to me is, So baby pull me closer in the back seat of your Rover, that I know you can t

Pride is defined as a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one s own
achievements, the achievements of those with whom one is closely associated..
This can be seen as both a positive and negative quality in a person. But, could
Coriolanus pride have led to his demise? Although Coriolanus is seen as a tragic hero
in Shakespeare s Coriolanus, he is dominated by the other characters who understand
his weakness and are able to manipulate him. The key to power in the play is

characters Brutus and Sicinius are two such characters that possess the talent of
persuasion, manipulation, and who understand Coriolanus weakness The present

Reading Memoir My earliest reading moments we re listening to Television and

thinking why read the books if you can just scan through the pages with pictures

Ethics Paper--Bailout
Bailout Ethics
Americans are outraged. Billions of taxpayer dollars were committed last year to
rescuing firms such as Citigroup and the American International Group (AIG).
Earlier this year, several companies who received Troubled Asset Relief Program
(TARP) assistance were awarding top executives with extravagant bonuses.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the U.S. government lent $238 billion in
TARP taxpayer funds to almost 700 banks; 44 of these banks have repaid a $71
billion (Johnston, para 6). There remains $167 billion invested in banks. Some critics
argue that a mere $167 billion is not significant to warrant public indignation against
bonuses. However, the issue is not about specific bonus amounts but the principle of

In another example of applying the Rights Approach to bailout bonuses, AIG tells a
different story. In March 2010, AIG is scheduled to distribute yet another $198
million in bonuses to its financial products employees largely seen as responsible for
the firm s failure (Collins, para 11). This will result in almost $400 million in bonus
payments since receiving government assistance (Collins, para 11). As mentioned
previously, AIG does not have a moral right to these bonuses. It would be similar to
someone taking an elaborate vacation just before filing for bankruptcy and expecting
the government to finance his unnecessary expense.
Common Good Approach: Definition and Analysis
In a globalized world, the Common Good Approach has increased in relevance for
judging ethical behavior. It presents a vision of society as a community whose
members are joined in the shared pursuit of values and goals they hold in common
(Markkula, para 12). This Approach calls attention to the conditions that are important
to the common welfare of everyone. The principle states: What is ethical is what
advances the common good (Markkula, para 12). The common goal when
considering the bailout is a stable economy. What remains unanswered is why some
financial institutions, such as JPMorgan Chase and Goldman Sachs, were helped with
TARP funds while other banks, such as Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers, were
allowed to
A Research Project On The Gantt Chart Essay
The project s timeline is shown in the GANTT chart below. A significant portion of
time has been allotted to testing both the code and hardware to ensure any
problems that arise are able to be addressed without sending the project too far off
schedule. Some changes were made of the Gantt chart due to the decision made of
removing the PCB board and microcontroller out of the project which gave more
time for the transmission medium and Arduino Uno software. Also, the design
layout for the protoboard took over some of the time of the PCB board design. For
most of the time, the team was behind, but after getting a working transmission
medium design, the group was on track for finishing the project. The removal of the
microcontroller and PCB board, also gave some spare time in the schedule. The
design of the transmission medium and finalizing the software for collision detection
took longer than expected, however the ordering time of the protoboard and creating
a batter station was finish earlier than expected.

What Is Data Analytics The Future Of Audit Engagements
Data Analytics the future of Audit Engagements
Data analytics, according to the International Auditing and Assurance Standards
Board (IAASB), is defined as the science and art of discovering and analyzing
patterns, deviations and inconsistencies, and extracting other useful information in
the data underlying or related to the subject matter of an audit through analysis,
modelling and visualization for the purpose of planning and performing the audit
(Alawadhi et al., 2015). Under this definition, the overall goal of data analytics is to
provide structure and organization to data to enable effective and efficient decision
making. Auditor data analytics is about enhancing audit quality. A high quality,
focused and effective audit is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The objective of any audit is to acquire sufficient and appropriate audit evidence to
support an opinion. Sufficient evidence refers to the quantity of evidence, while
appropriate evidence refers to the quality of the evidence. In developing an audit
opinion an auditor must accumulate both sufficient and appropriate evidence,
however, the evolution of the risk based audit approach has created obstacles in
acquiring sufficient and appropriate audit evidence. Therefore, the audit process must
adapt to these technological changes, in order for the profession to maintain its
credibility as gate keepers. Data analytics is a technological tool that can assist auditor
s in combating the limitations mentioned above. One important advantage is the
ability of data analytics to provide more persuasive audit evidence to enhance audit
quality. Data analytics can be applied at different stages of an audit, beginning with
risk assessment procedures, test of controls, journal entry testing, and even
substantive testing. Employing data analytic techniques allows audit teams to
perform analyses on an entire population of transactions, rather than physically
vouching a limited number of samples, which minimizes sampling risk in an audit
engagement. Additionally, data analytics can help

ethnic origin, age, and height.
To find out the sex of the victim the pelvis, skull, femur, tibia, and humerus
measurements were needed, in conclusion the overall gender was a male. For the race

The Spectacle of Mega Events
A mega event can serve as a unique opportunity to form a host state s vision of itself.
It allows a government to essentially form an identity around the representation of the
host state within the mega event. The Olympics can particularly serve to achieve this
objective as they maintain an elaborate and extravagant spectacle of the Opening
Ceremony. It means that an Olympic games can be a state s effective tool of an
official festivity. The Russian philosopher Mikhail Bakhtin identified two kinds of
medieval festivals from the medieval worldview the first, an official feast and the
other, non official, carnival like festivities. The carnival festivities, he believed,
were the expression of folk consciousness, or folk culture. They reflect, a second
world and a second life outside officialdom, a world in which all medieval people
participated. Official feasts, by contrast, were the formally ecclesiastical, feudal, and
political cult forms and ceremonies that did not take participants out of the existing
world order or create a second life, but rather sanctioned the existing order. In
actuality, the official feast looked back at the past and used the past to make the
present more concrete (Yamashita, 2011).
The Olympics are the host state s modern tool to [sanction] the existing order along
the lines of what the host state seeks to identify themselves as. It allows
Post General Education Classes
Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think (Albert
Einstein). There are different types of teachers or instructors, those who tell, those
who coach, and those who mentor their students; just as there are different types of
schools and classes. Each person chooses their path and education, either with or
with or without support. The teachers in general education classes typically are
more proficient in one specific subject but can generally teach basics of all the
traditional studies; they are not specialized or experts in any one course. Class
sizes are generally too large for teachers to give each individual the needed attention
needed to excel. Meanwhile in vocational or CTE classes the mentors or instructors
are certified in their areas of expertise. The classes are compiled of students who
want to be further taught skills needed for a profession and learn better in a more
hands on atmosphere.
Secondary or post general education is usually necessary to gain even basic skills

as critical thinking, teamwork, research, and problem solving; for group projects or

The Danger Of Cyber Attacks On Power Plants
The danger of cyber attacks on power plants are something that needs to be looked
at closely to avoid costly deadly incidents. Cybersecurity has become a vital
component of our world today and it needs to evolve fast to keep up in its
protection from the outside. Cybersecurity protects us from unauthorized
shutdowns, break ins, financial and social ruin. We live in a world that has
become completely reliant on computers for everything. They are able to cause
chaos and even shutdown nuclear centrifuges, air defense systems, and electrical
grids. (Hathaway, Crootof, Levitiz, Nix, Nowlan, Perdue Spiegel, 2012) Cyber
attacks are more common today due to the increase capability of technology.
Important information along with every aspect of people s lives are kept on
computers or cell phones which are vulnerable at all times. An example of this would
be the leaked snapchat photos of celebrities, stolen identities and unauthorized access
from an outside computer into a power plant. In New York State we have four
nuclear powerplants. These nuclear power plants contribute to the economy, society
and the environment. The Nuclear power plants are Entergy s Fitzpatrick in Scriba

Big Island Volcanoes
During the Big Island trip, I learned the predictiction of volcanic eruptions, the study
of volcanoes, and the effects of a volcanic eruption. To start off, the Big Island is
known for its active volcanoes, meaning it constantly erupts and spews lava.
Geologists actually has a way to forecast the eruption of the volcanoes. Seismometers
can be used to pinpoint earthquakes which track the rise of magmaand its movement
along fissures. (volcanoworld) This means that geologists uses seismometers in
predicting volcanic eruptions so they can warn people about it. In conclusion,
geologists can predict a volcanic eruption using multiple instrument, seismometer
being one of them. Furthermore, I ve also learned the study of volcanoes which is
called vulcanology. The people who studies volcanoes are called vulcanologist, and
they are also the ones who knows how to use complicated instruments only used for
vulcanology such as a retroreflector, which is an instrument that reflects light back to
its source, and a geodimeter, which is an instrument to measure the distance between
two points of laser beam. A laser beam is emitted from the geodimeter, hits a

During pre eruption, geologists and vulcanologists are very alert on what is
happening around the volcano to see if it will have a huge effect on its surrounding,
so after it erupted, these scientists quickly see if there are any post volcanic activities.
Aside from the lava oozing and destroying the volcano s surroundings, landslide is
also one of the effects. A tiltmeter located in the uplifting zone detects the
deformation by sensing the minute change in slope caused by the uplift. (usgs.gov)
This explains how a tiltmeter helps scientists in knowing if there are any post
volcanic effects. In conclusion, a volcanic eruption can lead to a lot of events, such
as ruined grasslands and
Designing A Model Using Structured Analysis Techniques
At the conclusion of the requirements phase, the team has agreed upon the needs of
the business and what must be required of the new system. The next step in designing
and implementing the new system is determining the processes that will be applied to
the data and graphically representing them in a model using structured analysis
techniques. Process models are used to identify and document the portion of system
requirements that relates to data. Processes are the logical rules that are applied to
transform the data into meaningful information. During this phase, data flow
diagrams are required to show how the data will move through the system. The
systems data flow and data stores are then documented in the data dictionary, which is

An entity relationship diagram visually describes the objects of the data and their
relationship to one another. Business process diagrams show how data moves
through the organization using processes performed by an individual. Managers,
developers, and users then review and approve the diagrams and documentation
generated before proceeding to the next modeling phase. With the completion of the
logical model, a physical model is outlined to portray the actual design of a
database. Physical modeling illustrates the integration of the data requirements that
were recognized during logical modeling into a system structure that will be
implemented. A physical model creates objects using symbols such as tables and
columns based on entities and attributes that were defined during logical modeling.
Constraints, such as primary keys, foreign keys and other unique keys, are defined
in this modeling phase. It is crucial to have a well informed, knowledgeable design
team in the development of the physical model. To ensure that all information system
needs are met, physical models are often developed jointly by a team representing the
data administration, database administration, and application development areas (CA
ERwin Data Modeler Methods Guide CA, n.d.). Physical modeling is database
specific, which means the objects defined during physical modeling can vary
depending on the database software being used. The hardware of a company
Activated Carbon is Used in Wastewater Treatments
Activated carbon (AC) is an adsorbent in wastewater treatment used in either granular
or powdered form. The filtration device uses AC which has a slight electro positive
charge added to it, making it attractive to chemicals and impurities. Contaminants that
can be removed from the water by adsorption on activated carbon include both
naturally occurring and synthetic compounds.
Advantages:
Absorbs odours and coloured substances from liquids
Traps other carbon based impurities and chemicals (e.g. chlorine)
Disadvantages:
Leakage of microorganisms
Low biodegradability
Encourages bacterial growth as AC filters are saturated with organic contaminants
System Requirements:
Requires frequent filter changing as AC filters reduce in efficiency and increase in
bacterial growth over time
Not suitable for use in Sandikhola
.5.0.2 Constructed wetlands
Constructed wetlands (CW) utilise wetland plants, soils and associated
microorganism to remove contaminants from wastewater through symbiotic
reactions. Several physical, chemical and biological processes occurring within
wetlands removes suspended solids (TSS, total suspended solids), organic compounds
(BOD, biological oxygen demand), chemicals (COD, chemical oxygen demand),
phosphorous, nitrogen, metals and pathogens present in wastewater.
Advantages:
Water quality tests on wastewater effluents from various wetlands in Nepal have
shown that TSS, BOD, COD are removed by more than 95%. Similarly, coliform

Why Mussolini Rose to Power
The fascist dictator of Italy Benito Mussolini rose to power through the use of his
charisma, his unethical elimination of opponents and his attack on the capitol of
Rome Italy. Through the use of these assets Mussolini was able to successfully

A Study On A Television
A television I am usually exposed to during this year is located in a room
dedicated for students who want to relax or study on the side. This television is
located in the lounge of an Oakes College residential hall. The television set is
located above eye level in the right hand corner as you enter the room. Below the
set, is a VCR with the remote control on top of it. As for the lounge layout, there are
three sofas that are placed in a rectangular shape all of them facing the television. In
the middle are two rectangular shaped tables used to place stuff when one is
watching tv. On the other side of the room, are three full size tables placed next to
each other to create a study space for any resident in the residential hall.
A few of my fellow neighbors are on their laptops studying or on their social medias
glancing a few moments at what s on the television screen. Unlike those sitting in
front of the table those who are sitting at the couches are gazing at the different
programs being transmitted on the television screen. All of us seem to be watching
the television for the same purpose as a pure form of entertainment to relieve stress
from being a student. Each time a commercial starts mostly everyone go on their
phones or use that time to go to the restroom as well as change the channels.
The entrance to the room becomes a place for decisions as one has to decide to either
study or relax by watching television. This moment is similar to what Anna McCarthy

The Effects Of Repetitive Head Impact On Athletes Essay
Over the years, the demand for research on the cognitive and neuropathological
consequences of repetitive head impacts in athletes has been an uprise in the sports

The safety car appears when an accident happens. Drivers must drive behind the
safety car slowly and they cannot overtake each other. When someone doesn t obey
the rules he has a penalty. It means that he must take a few seconds pit stop.
When a F1 team and its drivers want to succeed, they must have a good team
strategy. It means that the team management must plan everything important. They
decide whether to use hard or soft tires, how many pit stops the driver should have,
how much fuel to take, which driver is number one on the team... Today s top
teams have very good strategies which are different in every race. The best teams

Internationalizing The Habanera
In the 19th century there were a few conservatories where composers frequently
visited to study music. Instruments played a big role, too. Piano industries in
Argentina and Mexico had popped up, which were accessible to the middle class,
thus creating a demand for sheet music. Cuba even had a piano factory. This increase
in access caused an explosion of pianomusicto be written.
The Caribbean also was influenced. It had internationalized the habanera, a dance
that was very popular in Cuba. Habanera was often used in dance music and theater.
Moving onto the 20th century, popular music genres included Puerto Rican plena,
Argentine tango, Dominican merengue, and Brazilian samba. These genres became

something heroic about him. He did not look like a killer. He came across so
calm... acted like he had a dream... eyes full of passion . This way of describing
looks like he (Li) understands him (Ah Jong) very well though they are just known

Bodily Piercing and Tattooing
Bodily piercing and tattooing are regarded to some as art or adornment, to others, a
purposeful religious sentiment. Many individuals fail to entirely consider the
fulminant risks associated with penetrating subcutaneous tissue with foreign bodies.
The human body is composed of complex systems and mechanisms, which interact in
order to maintain homeostasis. When deviancy disrupts the bodily chemical
reactions, the internal processes operating to uphold optimal living conditions will be
altered. The human body requires tight limitations of cell, tissue, organ, and organ
system activity in order to function properly. As humans, bodily piercings are
considered foreign, unfamiliar objects to our anatomy. Correspondingly, our bodies
have been known to, at times reject these piercings potentially resulting in medical
ailments. In healthcare, providers are increasingly faced with treating complications
related to body piercing. (Ramman ) Ear and nose piercingare the earliest documented
styles of piercings dating from 1500 BC. African and American cultures discovered
oral piercings, including those of the lip and tongue. While the nipple and genital
piercings have been said to derive from ancient Indians. The contemporary way of
life brought about different styles and methods of piercing, such as surface piercing.
The investigation of the impact on health care providers and practice of bodily
piercing has been researched and is continuing to be examined currently. The

Desciptive Essay. How to Write a Descriptive Essay: 14 Steps with Pictures

  • 1. Desciptive Essay Crafting a descriptive essay about oneself can be a challenging endeavor, as it demands a delicate balance between self-reflection and objectivity. The task involves not only narrating personal experiences but also portraying them vividly enough to evoke a sensory and emotional response from the reader. Striking the right tone is crucial – it requires a blend of humility, self-awareness, and an artistic touch to transform ordinary details into a compelling narrative. The difficulty lies in avoiding the extremes – on one hand, self-aggrandizement risks alienating the reader, while on the other, excessive modesty may result in a lackluster essay. Balancing authenticity with the need to engage the reader's interest can be a tightrope walk. Selecting the right details to highlight becomes pivotal, as the essay should neither be a laundry list of accomplishments nor a catalog of shortcomings. Furthermore, introspection is a demanding process, necessitating a willingness to delve into one's own thoughts and emotions. Expressing oneself effectively requires a mastery of language and a keen understanding of how to convey the nuances of personal experiences. The challenge is to create a narrative that resonates universally while remaining unique to the individual. In conclusion, writing a descriptive essay about oneself is no small feat. It demands a careful dance between transparency and tact, self-reflection and relatability. Striking the right chord requires a nuanced approach, making it a task that goes beyond mere self-expression. If the challenge proves overwhelming, remember that help is readily available. Similar essays and much more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net, offering assistance in navigating the intricacies of personal narrative and descriptive writing. Desciptive Essay Desciptive Essay

  • 4. Music, Language, And Characters In The Hobbit Did you know that in The Hobbit many magical creatures like the goblins, elves, and dwarves sing songs that reveal many things about them. In this novel music plays a role in the development of the story and characters. The different creatures songs vary in tone, content, and structure that reveal many things about the magical creatures. First, after the dwarves or the unexpected party arrived they sang a song about an adventure that they would ask Bilbo to join and what it was about. The tone of the song was to persuade and inspire Bilbo to agree to go. For example the dwarves sand, Far over the Misty Mountainscold. This line was repeated multiple times in the song and caused Bilbo s Tookish side to want to see the great mountains and go on an adventure. The poem s content consisted of explaining the reasons to go on the adventure. They sung, To win our harps and gold from him. This explains that they must return to their ancestors land to win back the riches that were taken by Smaug. There also was a lot of rhyme in this song, Tolkien states the dwarves sing Far over the misty mountains cold To dungeons deep and caverns old We must away ere break of day To seek the pale and enchanted gold. This is a great example of rhyme the ending sounds of cold, old, and gold sound alike. The tone, content, and structure signal features about the dwarves. This song showed that the dwarves are very adventurous and brave. Since they must cross back over the dangerous,
  • 5. The Balance Of Chaos And Cosmos The thought of the early Greeks demonstrates the overall balance of chaos and cosmos in our universe. This is expressed with many of the Pre Socratic philosophers. When viewing the early Greeks, we can see many different expressions of chaos and cosmos in the universe. These views, or logos, range from terrible evils, such as Nyx s tilting from cosmos to chaos in Hesiod s world view, to greater goods, such as Anaximanders argument of natural order. This is not to say that they are complete in the idea of rationalism, but together, they can create a stronger standing of the balance in the universe. When it comes to defining what balance in the universe is, there are several aspects to consider. First, one must understand what chaos, cosmos, and logos are. Chaos is defined as disorder; cosmos is defined as order; logos is defined and a human view of the world and what they consider to be order. Hesiod uses these in his poem, Theogony, to describe the origins of the Greek gods. He uses chaos and cosmos in a different way throughout his poem. Chaos being a god, and cosmos being the universe. This can become tricky when trying to determine where chaos, cosmos, and logos of philosophyare located. There was cosmos expressed when Nyx, the goddess of night, and her daughter Hemera, who is the goddess of light, go through a cycle of one going into the house, and the other coming out. [W]here Night and Day greet each other. As they pass over the great threshold of bronze, [O]ne
  • 6. Latin American Revolution Thesis When you think of a revolution that was the most impactful what do you think of? Most people would think of the French Revolution or maybe the American Revolution. But most people wouldn t think of the Latin American Revolution. The Latin American Revolution is overlooked by most of society when in reality it is one of the most important revolutions of the 18th and 19th centuries. And most importantly, the revolution showed Latin Americans that their voices could be heard and they had a say in the major aspects of their lives. When a revolution starts, it takes a large group of people who passionately want change and they have to be willing to risk their lives. The passion needed for a revolution was the passion the Latin Americans had. In
  • 7. Absorbance Experiment With Turnip Peroxidase Introduction Enzyme can be defined as a protein molecule that is a biological catalyst. (Ophardt, 2003) Catalyst increases the speed of a reaction but does not have to use anything to help increase the speed. An enzyme can be determined by their properties. Enzyme are a substrate specific, substrate connects to an enzyme at the location of an active site. Enzyme is not used in a reaction and enzyme function in a good condition at the optimum temperatures and pH. (Ahmez2005) Peroxidase is a type of enzyme which is used in the experiment. The type of peroxidase is used is called turnip peroxidase. Turnip peroxidase is made up of Guaiacol and hydrogen peroxide. The reactants to the product are turnip peroxidase or called tertraguaiacol and water. The color of the react is brown. In the experiment was conducted there were baseline experiment, temperature, pH, 10X substrate, Inhibitor, and half the amount of enzyme. The baseline experiment is the control group. If the time increases over a period a time then turnip hydrogen peroxidase will increase absorbance. The temperature can have a major impact on an enzyme. According to Campbell Biology author Reece etc. 2011 The enzyme reaction will increase as the temperature increase with the increasing temperature....substrates collide with active sites more frequently when the molecules move rapidly. (Reece etc 2011) Every enzyme hits its optimal temperature the reaction will be at its highest point.(Reece etc. 2011) When the

For those that are missing teeth, you have a couple options available to you. Durability A dental implant is one of the most durable ways to replace a tooth. The main issue with alternatives, like bridges and partial dentures, is that they may break and need to be replaced over time. If the implant is installed correctly and properly maintained, it can potentially last your entire life. Implants are fused to your jawbone permanently and will not slip. You will see improved speech with implants. Easier Eating While dentures and bridges do not restrict your eating a whole bunch, extra consideration needs to go into what you eat to prevent damaging them. Types Of Nonsense Point Mutation Genetic Disorders of Nonsense Point Mutations Gene expression is regulated by the cell, and genetic mutations can cause permanent changes in the cell s genetic material. Specifically, one type of mutation that occurs in a cell s DNA is a nonsense point mutation. In this type of mutation, a chemical change in only one nitrogenous base results in a premature stop codon. This causes the translation to end early. In the given strand of DNA, the nitrogenous base Adenine was affected. Thymine was substituted in Adenine s place. Therefore, the amino acid chain was altered, causing a premature stop codon. A few symptoms of this disorder are as followed: claw hands, deafness, stunted growth, joint disease, progressive intellectual disability, and retardation (A.D.A.M, 2017). Moreover, symptoms of this disease can range from mild to severe. Foster (2017) demonstrates that patients with this disease have thick, coarse facial features and low nasal bridges. A series of examinations, such as an EKG and a spinal X ray, can be executed to test for Hurler Syndrome early on. Though both disorders are incurable, there is a plethora of treatment options available. For example, Eteplirsen is an approved injection medication that helps treat individuals with a specific mutation of the gene that leads to DMD (Anirudh, 2017). Eteplirsen works by increasing the production of dystrophin which could ultimately improve muscle function. Analysis Of Woolf A Room Of One s Own By Virginia Woolf 1.It is significant that Woolf s essay is partly fictional, for it shows her greater knowledge of her writing, as she was a woman herself writing fiction. She does not write completely in non fictional mode, as to not stay biased to her views and experiences, yet to allow the readers to have an open imagination on where the events that had happened at Oxbridge could also take place. 2. The original occasion of a A Room Of One s Own was to describe Women and what they are like; ... women and the fiction that they write; or women and the fiction that is written about them.(Woolf, 3). Sarah Jane Barnett explores the different means of telling an individual s story; a cross dressing father interacts with her daughter, a couple tries to connect with each other after the war, another couple leaves the worst unsaid, and two middle aged strike up an unlikely friendship. A series of stringed distinctive poems tries exploring the grim police reports of the death of Texas death row inmates and their heartfelt last words, before their ultimatum. The book is divided in three parts. The middle ones are the longest and is devoted to the last sentiments of death row prisoners, facing the ultimatum in America. The links that joins the poems in the second part is the description of the crimes, what the prisoners had done, which had landed them where they are in the current scenario. • 17. The Importance Of A Well Prepared Environment Maria Montessori inadvertently created an alternative to traditional schooling. She did this by allowing her pupils the opportunity to learn through action rather than repetition. Montessori had five main principles: respect for the child, sensitive periods, the prepared environment, auto education, and the teacher s role. In this paper I will discuss the prepared environment thoroughly and how a well prepared environment can positively affect each student in the 3 6 classroom. I will, in reflection, discuss the negative outcomes that may arise from an ill prepared classroom. Sensitive periods are blocks of time in a child s life when the child is absorbed with one characteristic of the environment to the exclusion of all others (Lillard, 1972, p.33). These sensitive periods are: a need for order, the use of the hand and tongue, the development of walking, a fascination with minute and detailed objects, and a time of intense social interest (Lillard, 1972, p.33). The first, and most prevalent in a classroom, of the sensitive periods is the need for order which begins within the first year of life. Rules and routine are important in a newborn s day; consistency is key to a happy baby (Knestrict, 2015). This means that with multiple expiration times investors can make an instant profit on their binary options and can become more flexible in their option investments. The expiration times can be weekly, monthly,or even longer terms. Secondly, the payouts are different than day trading. With regular day trading, an investor pays per contract. In binary options the win or lose outcome is set ahead of time. The investor knows how much he or she is going to win or lose before they enter the trade. This can be a serious edge in regular day trading. Third, expiration is different between binary options and regular day trading. The investor has to hold onto his binary option until the agreed upon expiration time. This means that when looking and purchasing options contracts he cannot sell them once they are purchased. • 32. The Danger Of Cyber Attacks On Power Plants The danger of cyber attacks on power plants are something that needs to be looked at closely to avoid costly deadly incidents. Cybersecurity has become a vital component of our world today and it needs to evolve fast to keep up in its protection from the outside. Cybersecurity protects us from unauthorized shutdowns, break ins, financial and social ruin. We live in a world that has become completely reliant on computers for everything. They are able to cause chaos and even shutdown nuclear centrifuges, air defense systems, and electrical grids. (Hathaway, Crootof, Levitiz, Nix, Nowlan, Perdue Spiegel, 2012) Cyber attacks are more common today due to the increase capability of technology. Important information along with every aspect of people s lives are kept on computers or cell phones which are vulnerable at all times. An example of this would be the leaked snapchat photos of celebrities, stolen identities and unauthorized access from an outside computer into a power plant. In New York State we have four nuclear powerplants. These nuclear power plants contribute to the economy, society and the environment. The Nuclear power plants are Entergy s Fitzpatrick in Scriba and Indian Point in Buchanan, and Exelon s Ginna in Ontario and Nine mile point in Scriba provide New York households and employers with over 5,000 megawatts (MW)of emissions free electricity and nearly 42 million megawatt hours (MWh) of annual electricity generation. To start off, the Big Island is known for its active volcanoes, meaning it constantly erupts and spews lava. Geologists actually has a way to forecast the eruption of the volcanoes. Seismometers can be used to pinpoint earthquakes which track the rise of magmaand its movement along fissures. (volcanoworld) This means that geologists uses seismometers in predicting volcanic eruptions so they can warn people about it. In conclusion, geologists can predict a volcanic eruption using multiple instrument, seismometer being one of them. Furthermore, I ve also learned the study of volcanoes which is called vulcanology. The people who studies volcanoes are called vulcanologist, and they are also the ones who knows how to use complicated instruments only used for vulcanology such as a retroreflector, which is an instrument that reflects light back to its source, and a geodimeter, which is an instrument to measure the distance between two points of laser beam. A laser beam is emitted from the geodimeter, hits a retroreflector at a second point, and returns to a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A tiltmeter located in the uplifting zone detects the deformation by sensing the minute change in slope caused by the uplift. Designing A Model Using Structured Analysis Techniques At the conclusion of the requirements phase, the team has agreed upon the needs of the business and what must be required of the new system. The next step in designing and implementing the new system is determining the processes that will be applied to the data and graphically representing them in a model using structured analysis techniques. Process models are used to identify and document the portion of system requirements that relates to data. Processes are the logical rules that are applied to transform the data into meaningful information. During this phase, data flow diagrams are required to show how the data will move through the system. The systems data flow and data stores are then documented in the data dictionary, which is used... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An entity relationship diagram visually describes the objects of the data and their relationship to one another. Business process diagrams show how data moves through the organization using processes performed by an individual. Managers, developers, and users then review and approve the diagrams and documentation generated before proceeding to the next modeling phase. With the completion of the logical model, a physical model is outlined to portray the actual design of a database. Physical modeling illustrates the integration of the data requirements that were recognized during logical modeling into a system structure that will be implemented. A physical model creates objects using symbols such as tables and columns based on entities and attributes that were defined during logical modeling. Constraints, such as primary keys, foreign keys and other unique keys, are defined in this modeling phase. It is crucial to have a well informed, knowledgeable design team in the development of the physical model. To ensure that all information system needs are met, physical models are often developed jointly by a team representing the data administration, database administration, and application development areas (CA ERwin Data Modeler Methods Guide CA, n.d.). Physical modeling is database specific, which means the objects defined during physical modeling can vary depending on the database software being used. The hardware of a company

The filtration device uses AC which has a slight electro positive charge added to it, making it attractive to chemicals and impurities. Contaminants that can be removed from the water by adsorption on activated carbon include both naturally occurring and synthetic compounds. Advantages: Absorbs odours and coloured substances from liquids Traps other carbon based impurities and chemicals (e.g. chlorine) Disadvantages: Leakage of microorganisms Low biodegradability Encourages bacterial growth as AC filters are saturated with organic contaminants System Requirements: Requires frequent filter changing as AC filters reduce in efficiency and increase in bacterial growth over time Not suitable for use in Sandikhola .5.0.2 Constructed wetlands Constructed wetlands (CW) utilise wetland plants, soils and associated microorganism to remove contaminants from wastewater through symbiotic reactions. Several physical, chemical and biological processes occurring within wetlands removes suspended solids (TSS, total suspended solids), organic compounds (BOD, biological oxygen demand), chemicals (COD, chemical oxygen demand), phosphorous, nitrogen, metals and pathogens present in wastewater. Advantages: Water quality tests on wastewater effluents from various wetlands in Nepal have shown that TSS, BOD, COD are removed by more than 95%. Similarly, coliform bacteria are also

This television is located in the lounge of an Oakes College residential hall. The television set is located above eye level in the right hand corner as you enter the room. Below the set, is a VCR with the remote control on top of it. As for the lounge layout, there are three sofas that are placed in a rectangular shape all of them facing the television. In the middle are two rectangular shaped tables used to place stuff when one is watching tv. On the other side of the room, are three full size tables placed next to each other to create a study space for any resident in the residential hall. A few of my fellow neighbors are on their laptops studying or on their social medias glancing a few moments at what s on the television screen. Unlike those sitting in front of the table those who are sitting at the couches are gazing at the different programs being transmitted on the television screen. Each time a commercial starts mostly everyone go on their phones or use that time to go to the restroom as well as change the channels. The entrance to the room becomes a place for decisions as one has to decide to either study or relax by watching television. This moment is similar to what Anna McCarthy mentions

When deviancy disrupts the bodily chemical reactions, the internal processes operating to uphold optimal living conditions will be altered. The human body requires tight limitations of cell, tissue, organ, and organ system activity in order to function properly. As humans, bodily piercings are considered foreign, unfamiliar objects to our anatomy.
