The Fall Of The House Of Usher Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic "The Fall of the House of Usher" can be quite challenging due to
the intricate layers of symbolism, psychological depth, and Gothic elements within Edgar Allan
Poe's masterpiece. Exploring themes of decay, madness, isolation, and the supernatural requires a
keen analytical eye and a deep understanding of Poe's writing style and historical context.
Additionally, interpreting the ambiguous ending and unraveling the mysteries surrounding the
Usher family demands critical thinking and attention to detail.
Moreover, constructing a compelling essay entails conducting thorough research to gather
relevant literary criticism and scholarly interpretations. This involves delving into Poe's
biography, examining his influences, and studying the broader literary movements of his time,
such as Romanticism and Dark Romanticism. Drawing connections between the narrative's
themes and Poe's own life experiences adds another layer of complexity to the analysis.
Furthermore, crafting a well-structured essay requires formulating a coherent thesis statement
supported by textual evidence and logical arguments. Balancing plot summary with insightful
commentary while maintaining clarity and coherence can be a daunting task. Moreover,
achieving originality in interpretation amidst the vast body of existing criticism presents a
significant challenge for any aspiring essayist.
In conclusion, writing an essay on "The Fall of the House of Usher" demands intellectual rigor,
literary insight, and creative analysis. It necessitates a deep engagement with Poe's text and a
willingness to grapple with its complexities. However, the rewards of unraveling the mysteries of
the Usher family and uncovering the hidden depths of Poe's Gothic tale are immeasurable for
those who embark on this literary journey.

Disadvantages Of Ijarah Sukuk
Ijarah sukuk
Ijarah sukuk represent the ownership of an equal share in the usufruct of an asset
that is well existing, known and defined, tied to an Ijarah contract as defined by
Shari ah. The owner of the sukuk have the right to receive rent, own the underlying
assets, and dispose the sukuk without any impact on the sukuk issuer s right to use
the asset. The owner have to bear all costs related to the basic characteristics of the
assets and the lessee is responsible for bearing the cost of maintenance or damage
(Manaf, 2007; Al Amine, 2001; Ayub, n.d., Billah, n.d.).
According to Al Amine (2001:6), Ijarah sukuk has four characteristics:

Negative Effects Of Ballet
Each year, people who participate in sports are susceptible to serious injuries.
Though ballet may be a form of art, others consider it to be a sport in which many
dancers also experience serious harms. In correspondence to different sports, ballet
involves challenging skills and constant motions that lead to many types of injuries.
The injuries that occur to ballet dancers can create long term and short term impacts
in their lives. Some impacts it may have on dancers include: stress, eating disorders,
and other mental health issues. In order to reduce the possible injuries of ballet and
the impacts it has on dancers, instructors should limit the amount of exercises
assigned to the students and students should consult to medical care... Show more

51). Many dance instructors provide tremendous amount of training and exercises
for their students that could benefit them to perfecting their performance. In some
cases, dancers who overdo their trainings and practices are the ones at risk of
injuries. The author, Anna Aalten in In the Presence of the Body: Theorizing
Training, Injuries, and Pain in Ballet , shares her experience when she
[discovered] that pushing her legs until they really hurt would bring her closer to
the desired ideal (61). The idea of perfecting a skill or technique by any dancers
can lead them to overlook any pain they are feeling which can later affect their
body and performance in the long run. Studies show that stress is a consequence of
the environment in which dancers practice ballet everyday, which is a world of no
pain, no gain that is characterized by perfectionism and competition (Yatabe et al.
2). In this case, pain and stress can be further ignored and create a negative impact
on dancers due to perfectionism if instructors do not cut down with their excessive
trainings. Ballet dancers who demand their selves to perfect a skill or technique can
be due to their desire of having the ideal body image. Ballet dancers striving for their
ideal body image can lead them to having many stress

The Anglo-Saxon Era
VFrom the Anglo Saxon Era till the Present Time
The Anglo Saxon refers to the settlers from the German regions of Angeln and
Saxony, who made their way over to Britain after the fall of the Roman Empire
around AD 410. Thus, paved the way to be known as the Anglo Saxon Era. But I, the
author of this essay, will simply discuss the Anglo Saxon s similarities and differences
with the present modern time, specifically in three areas. And these areas would be
gender roles, language and social conduct. Gender roles in the Anglo Saxon Era are
very distant to each other. Men, who are usually the strong warriors, are of the
dominant gender in the society. They were the symbol of heroism for being brave
and strong. They were the ones who fought in wars, fighting for their society. Men
were also the central leaders, as kings and rulers. Also, they were the ones to ... Show

But still, there are similarities between the Anglo Saxon Era and the modern times.
The Anglo Saxon had chieftains, who led men to military expeditions, which is
similar with the generals of the modern time. They also had the Mead Halls, which
is the home for the society s king, which is similar with Malacanang
Palace(Philippines) or the White House(US). But the Anglo Saxons had freedom in
not showing up warrants, which is different from the present time for warrants, that
are still required as of today, are needed to prove that they authorized people from the
government. As of to the laws of the present time that are encoded in thick books, the
Anglo Saxons laws were written in the vernacular. But the Anglo Saxons had a feudal
system, which is likely present till now. It is the system for people, who were found
guilty, are set to a monetary value for their lives from imprisonment. It is the same
with the current punishment of today, the only difference is that, wealth and status
matter to Anglo Saxons while to the present times, not
Harmful Effects Of Recycling In Landfills
Recycling programs are in place all around the world yet most trash still ends up in
a landfill. When something is being decomposed, it s being broken down slowly.
When something is being decomposed by living bacteria or other living organisms
then it is biodegradable. As an effect of this, eventually, the materials will be fully
broken down. In landfills, most materials start to decompose (North and Halden
2013). Materials such as extruded polystyrenefoam, plastic, and paper that are in
landfills can cause pollution. Pollution is the act of introducing something that will
bring harmful effects. Biodegradation helps to reduce the amount of trash in landfills
so that landfills do not become full of capacity.
About 30% of landfill space is filled with extruded polystyrene foam products alone
(Little 2017). Landfills are quickly being filled and very soon there will not be
enough space in the world to place trash. extruded polystyrene foam is a material
that decomposes over a long period. Inside extruded polystyrene foam is a chemical
called Styrene which leaches into substances leading to water pollution when it
precipitates and the runoff goes into nearby bodies of water (Little 2017). When
something leaches it is being percolated into another liquid or substance.
34 million tons of plastic were produced in 2008 in the United States alone and 86%
ended up in landfills (North and Halden 2013). That s a lot of plastic that ended up in
landfills. Over the years the numbers
The Agenda Setting Model Can Guide The Public Opinion

Discussion Paper:
Literature Review:
The readings in this week is all about the agenda setting. The agenda setting model
can guide the public opinion and mass communication about some social or political
issues. Different with media effects model, the media effects more like to telling
people how to think, however, the agenda setting model is successful in telling people
what to think about. In a general way, agenda setting theory was constructed in the
environment of traditional mass media, and the purpose is to study traditional mass
media.
About the visual agenda setting, the particular pictures, videos affect the influence of
the media, which means some pictures, videos can help the news or event spread or
reproduce. Because human s from a variety of sources, including the media, and the
conventional, compelling and repetitious imagery are the most memorable media
images for most audience(Miller, Andrea Roberts, 2010). People remember certain
images of one particular event is based on many factors, such as the content of the
picture, the size of the the picture and the visual effects of the picture. The
compelling imagery for the audience normally with some Frightening, disgusting or
interesting elements inside, and the news media report some bad events with a sadness
and negative emotion, it always affects the audience a lot. Because in psychology, all
those elements in the news can makes the audience unforgettable.

Essay on Comparison of Jackson s Short Story The Lottery...
Almost every person in the world holds a set of traditions which have been
established and practiced for a long period of time. However, some traditions often
cause us to not see the rationality despite of the destructive nature it may have. In
Shirley Jackson s short story, The Lottery , a sacrifice of one s life becomes the
jackpot of an annual event held in a small town. This society s traditions have caused
the people to do away with their rational thoughts and the values of their lives as they
have become so stuck in their own cultural beliefs.
In the short story, The Lottery , Jackson s use of symbols reveals a twisting plot that
isn t recognizable until nearly at the end of the story. Her use of third person point of

Here in this village, the lottery only takes about two hours with the 300 residents that
currently live there. In some towns, the lottery takes nearly two days and must be
started on the 26th. Jackson writes it could begin at ten o clock in the morning and
still be through in time to allow the villagers to get home for noon dinner (156). This
states that they want to get this completed so they can return home with their families
and have a family lunch. Relaying no emotion to the fact that death is the outcome of
this whole ordeal.
In the film The Lottery the setting is more modern and appears to be in the 1960 s
even. You are able to identify this due to the articles of clothing they possess, the
way the towns people do their hair and make up in some sort. Another clue is the
shops out front of the town square, compared to the short story; it was led to
believe as if none of that had come into place at the time. Also the area seems to be
more industrialized than a rural town would be i.e. automobiles. It is never clear as
to what day it may be until the characters give dialogue of the other towns having to
start the lottery a day ahead June 27th. The town s people seem to have much more
concern and empathy in the film rather than the short story because of the emphasis
they put on the characters faces and their dialogue. Mrs. Hutchinson when called out

To Rap Or Not To Rap Essay
The music industry is always growing and trying to solicit new music to get higher

An Project On Water Resources
Objective: This project focuses on water resources in the region of ancient Eastern
Arabia at the site of As Safah, Oman. This site has archaeological evidence of
metallurgical activities in the Iron Age (c. 900 600 BCE), like kilns, furnaces and
metal objects, still in very good condition. However, the site is very far away from
any natural water sources in the present day. Excavators did find sediment and fluvial
deposits suggesting that occasionally in the past the site had an inflow of water
(Genchi, Giardino, and Castelluccia 8). The objective of this project was to use
satellite imagery to understand why this site was chosen for intensive metal
production despite it distance from water, necessary for metal production. This...

Later that year and throughout 2013, excavators worked on the site, conducting
surveys and digging test trenches. Excavators found kilns and furnaces, layers of
floor, and metal objects, like ax heads, swords, daggers, and sledgehammer heads
in very good condition. Excavators believe it is a very well preserved site because
of the formation and rapid movement of the desert sands which covered up the site
relatively quickly after it was abandoned (Genchi, Giardino, and Castelluccia 3 4).
Sites with similar metal deposits dating to approximately the same time have been
found in the region, at Ibri, for example, 50 km west of As Safah (Yule 39 40). The
site itself has been delineated into As Safah 1 and 2 based upon the deposit of
material found on either side of a large dune belt (Genchi, Giardino, and
Castelluccia 3). As Safah 1 measures approximately 80,000 m2 and As Safah 2
measures approximately 17 hectares (Genchi, Giardino, and Castelluccia 11). The
surrounding area is made up of a wadi and dune deposits and the annual
precipitation is less than 50 mm. As a result, large amounts of rainfall will cause
flash floods in this and surrounding low areas (Genchi, Giardino, and Castelluccia 5
6). The site does not appear to be close to a fruitful water source. The entire region is
hyperarid and not conducive to farming. The rain comes erratically by the year, some
years being better than others (Potts 165). The location does offers other advantages

In the book The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight In Heaven written by Sherman
Alexie, the reader follows a short story of an Indian man who finds himself in fiery
fights with his girlfriend. The author uses the conflict between the Narrator and his
girlfriend to show how the toxic relationships in the past between White people and
Native Americans has damaged how he lives his everyday life. At the very
beginning of the story, the girlfriend tells the Narrator I don t trust you... you get too
angry , he then explains to us that he worked the graveyard shift to spend as much
time away from her as possible (182). This is not a healthy relationship, or the type of
relationship anyone wants to be in, yet he continues to stay with her. Their

Abstract
Topics: Variations in electoral voting patterns and educational attainment/skills.

the political status of 6 different Birmingham wards. My research statement is, To
what extent does the relationship between levels of qualification and income,
influence the political status of different Birmingham wards? I shall compare and
contrast several different sources of data, as well as referring to my questionnaire
results in my data analysis.
My hypothesis was that wards which had a high level of social class and the majority
of their population had level 4 qualifications and above, as well as a high level of
household income; were expected to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, with the aid of questionnaires I was able to understand a variety of reasons
as for why people did and did not vote for specific wards, and whether it was the local
or national policies which were having a greater influence on the public s political
stance.
Word Count: 298 Introduction
Aim:
With a population in excess of 1,000,000 people and over 40 different wards and
constituencies, Birmingham is generally regarded as the second city of the United
Kingdom. Within Birmingham, each ward must vote for their individual party
counsellor who may be representing the Labour, Conservative or Liberal Democrats
party . The aim of my investigation is to find out whether the different levels of
qualification and household income throughout Birmingham has any effect on the
party counsellor chosen for that specific ward. I will be investigating; what factors
have an effect on levels of qualification and income and how these levels of income
and qualification influence the overall political status of a Birmingham ward.
Research Question:
To what extent does the relationship between levels of qualification and income,
influence the political status of different Birmingham wards?
Hypothesis:
I hypothesise that affluent wards and constituencies such as; Moseley Kings Heath,
Sutton Four Oaks and Edgbaston whose population are of a high social class (grade
C1 and above) and an average of 47% of their population
Voltage Between The Antenna And Antenna
3.6.6 Voltage Standing Wave Ratio
There should be a maximum power transfer between the transmitter and the antenna
for the antenna to perform very well. This happens only when the impedance Zin is
matched to the transmitter internal impedance, Zs.
In the process of accomplishing this particular configuration for an antenna to
perform very well, there is always a reflecting power which leads to the standing
waves, which is categorized by the Voltage Standing WaveRatio (VSWR).
This is given by [30]:
VSWR=V_max/V_min =(1+|О“|)/(1 |О“| )=(1+S_11)/(1 S_11 ) Eq. (2.31)
As the reflection coefficient ranges from 0 to 1, the VSWR ranges from 1 to в€
ћ.
3.6.7 Input Impedance
It is the ratio of the voltage to current at the input terminals or the ratio of the proper
components of the electric fields to the magnetic fields at a particular point. Or in
other words we can say it is the impedance presented by the antenna at the input
terminal.
Zin = (Rin + jXin) Eq. (2.32)
Rin the real part, representing the power dissipated though heat or through radiation
losses.
Xin imaginary part, representing the reactance of the antenna the power stored in the
near field of the antenna [32].
3.6.8 Bandwidth
Bandwidth can be said as the frequencies on both the sides of the center frequency in

Maggie Dee Character Analysis
Question 5: Some characteristics of each character that review them in good and
bad terms can be symbolically expressed in many ways. For example, Mama is a
hard working women that has seen a lot of hardship in her life that truly reflects on
what she knows and how she uses that knowledge to pass on to her children. This idea
can be expressed from the book stating that Maggie knows how to quilt, which was
taught to her by Mama and her parents or Maggie s grandparents. Mama also shows
how hardship can lead to good things because they are grateful for the nice things
they have in their lowly modified and financed home. Some disadvantage traits that

be shown from the quilts because she anticipates that Maggie will surely use them
for everyday use. The quilts are very important to Maggie as well because she is the
second daughter in the family who doesn t have the direct choice on what should
happen to the quilts because she is younger and has a great respect for her sister Dee.
The quilts represent value to Maggie in terms of enjoyment because she can use
these to know that she is still an important figure in the family even though Dee
almost gets everything she wants from Mama and others around her. Even if
Maggie uses the quilts for everyday use, she can still have that feeling of respect
from her mother. In the book, this happiness can be proven from the time Maggie
actually smiles after Mama sticks up for Maggie and tells Dee that she can t have
those two important quilts.
Question 7: Mama makes the choice to give the quilts to Maggie for two main
reasons. The first reason is because Dee has already asked to take some very
important items from the house that Maggie couldn t express her feeling on and
Mama thinks that Dee, a grown women, should be able to do some things on
Murder Mystery Play Research Paper
INITIAL REACTION GENERAL RESPONSE Choosing a play was definitely not
easy, in fact, it was probably the hardest part of this project for me. I am usually
not one to dig into and enjoy plays very much. I am more of a musical theater
person, I love to sing and dance. However, when this project was assigned I chose
to think open mindedly and chose something a little bit out of my comfort zone.
Instead of picking a musical I love like Annie , Legally Blonde , or Hamilton. I
chose a murder mystery play called The Mousetrap. Going into the process I had a
pretty good idea of what the play was about, because I had seen it when
Oconomowoc High School did it for their senior directed play in 2015, and then I
also saw it again in December of that year with my drama class when the
Milwaukee Rep did it. When I first say the play I loved it! I was so intrigued from
the very beginning and all the way to the last second. That very night that I saw the
show I went home and looked it on youtube and started to watch it again, and to be
honest I rewatched it several times since then. After seeing it I started promoting the
show, and I went and told all of my friends that it was something they had to go see

minorities, as generally hard working immigrants are criticized for their conservation

The presence of sexism is more subtle, but nonetheless notable. There seems to be an

incompetence, saying that he quot;isn t man enough quot; to know what to do, after

somehow feel others pain just by simply looking at that person and to add even
more superstition, could predict sometimes when they will get hurt. Scary, right? Or

California s Gold Rush
Gold! Gold! Gold from the American River! shouted Samuel Brannan, a
newspaper publicist from San Francisco, following the discovery of gold in
California (Rhodes 168). This event sparked a new era of immigration to California
in 1848. The gold rush began on January 24, 1848 when gold was found by James
Marshall, a foreman for John Sutter, at Sutter s Mill in Coloma, California(Bancroft
32). Initially the news was kept a secret due to the risk of a massive wave of gold
seekers interfering with Sutter s land and agricultural plans. However, by March of
1848, Samuel Brannan s flamboyant confirmation to the rumors created the
California gold rush. Hordes of people from around the world traveled to California
in search for gold and success. San Francisco s population exponentially grew from
a small settlement of about 200 residents in 1846 to a city of about 36,000 by 1852
(Johnson 12 14). As news spread, the event became known worldwide. The gold
rush in California was a vital event that became the basis for the social and
economic boom that subsequently fashioned global fame, an influx of settlers and,
as a result, the 31st addition to the union as The Golden State . California s gold
rush began on March 1848. Just two months prior, gold was discovered in Sutter s
mill. The news was never meant to spread over anywhere else but, to their dismay,
the news for gold discovered was far too immense to be kept a secret for too long. As
rumors circulated then were confirmed,
Go Away Big Green Monster Literary Techniques
Controlling one s fears is an important thing to know how to do, which is why it s
important to start teaching children at a young age. Though there are many ways
to do this, instilling the lesson into something that they enjoy, such as reading
picture books, is a pretty good place to start. In the children s book Go Away, Big
Green Monster, author Ed Emberley successfully uses ugly adjectives, multiple
pictures, and a few forceful words in order to convince the children reading the
book that they can take charge of their fears in almost any situation as long as they
face them first. As each page progresses, the author adds another feature to the
monster. This is to make it seem like the monsters power is just being built up. If the
author would have just described all of the features of the monster in one page, no
suspense would have been created in the minds of the children, and they wouldn t
have been as interested in turning to the next page, because their fearhad already been
revealed. Emberley used the technique of using more pictures than words in order to
break down the fear at a constant rate rather than all at once, and once the full
monster was revealed and the next page began taking away features, the child was
able to realize that the power laid in their hands,... Show more content on

Breaking it down, by showing the full monster at the beginning, the author proves
that more than not, ones fears are right in front of them. Through the use of ugly
adjectives, the author emphasizes that almost everything on the monster is large in
some way, from his big round head to his long blue nose. This is just one of the
many ways that this author tries to persuade the children to face their fears, because
no matter how big or scary a fear may be, nothing is impossible to

1.9 Applications Of Image Encryption
In the present world lot of multimedia data is exchanged on internet and the percent
of image data in that is highest. So we need to securely transmit that and this can be
achieved by Image encryption.
Image encryption has applications in internet communication, multimedia systems,
medical and military imaging systems.
It is used in Digital Watermarking Stenography.
It has been used by government and military to facilitate secret communication.
It is also used to protect image data in transit, for example image data being
transferred via networks (e.g. the Internet, e commerce), mobile telephones, wireless
microphones, wireless intercom systems, Bluetooth devices. Data should also be
encrypted when transmitted across networks in order to protect against
eavesdropping of network traffic by unauthorized users.
1.9.1 Key management and conventional encryption
Conventional encryption has benefits. It is extremely fast. It is exceptionally
functional for encrypting data that is not going anywhere. Though, standard

Buddhism Reflection Paper
Buddhism a religion that I have once myself been a part of. Even though I was not
part of the Buddhism that is described in the textbook, I was part of one of the
branches of Buddhism. It is called Nichiren Buddhism, which was first created in
the 1250 CE. I was born into that religion and was practicing it until my family
decided to leave it when I was 10. As such, I do have the desire to learn more about
Buddhismand as such is the reason why the chapter on Buddhism attracted to me. By
reading this chapter it gave me a whole understanding of its origins and how such a
religion was created.
To start off, the creation of Buddhism happened around the same time that Mahavira
is teaching the ways of the Jains (pg 136). The person who would become the first
Buddha taught on how to cure earthly suffering. It was somewhat common to other
religions as they all provided comfort to their following on the suffering that was
happening to them in the world (pg 136). One thing I found quite interesting was how
the Buddha taught Buddhism. He taught his followers that by understanding how we
create suffering for ourselves, we can become free. This holds very true outside of
Buddhism, as by seeing how one is affected by negativity and suffering one can put
into action how to remove or change the situation.
The Buddha teaching reached far and wide and had touched almost every part of
Asia. In some countries, Buddhism became a religion that dominated the region. As
the religion spread,
Why Dr. Brooke Winner Essay
I had to opportunity to shadow Dr. Brooke Winner on December 2, 2016, from the
hours of ten o clock to two thirty. She is an OBGYN with her speciality areas being
in Minimally Invasive Gynecology, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Obstetrics and
Gynecology, Gynecologic Surgery, and Robotic Surgery. Upon entering her office
at 1110 Highlands Plaza East, suite #220, I was directed to the second floor where
one of the office managers placed me inside of her office, that she shared with
another OBGYN, a male, named Dr. Biest. Upon her arrival to meet up with me,
she smiled while holding one finger up, and speedily accounted one of her patient s
information into a tape recorder. It was a surreal event to watch. Dr. Winner
received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University
in 2001, and then took an astounding three year break before even beginning
medical school. Interestingly, she decided to enter onto the pre med track later in
college and so she applied later as well, which accounted for one year of her break.
However, being from Alaska, one of her desires was to go to the University of
Washington in Seattle, as it was considered a state medical school because Alaska
did not have one. She applied there, but was rejected. Columbia University,
however, did accept her, but she did not want to go there, as she viewed it as being
halfway across the country from her. So she asked to defer her enrollment and
surprisingly, they allowed it. So, in that year

Released on June 30th, 1995 an extraordinary out breaking movie Apollo 13 hit the
charts. Told from a true story of the 13th Apollo mission bound for the moon or the
most tragic NASA event , the movie Apollo 13 is constructed off of the occurrences
of an Apollo 13 lunar mission. It was directed by Ron Howard and released in the
United States in 1995. The amazing movie Apollo 13was given an award for the
AMPAS, best picture, best film editing, and the best sound which were many
accomplishments for this film. This movie is definitely under the drama category as
you will see after watching it.
In the movie, Tom Hanks plays astronaut Jim Lovell, Bill Paxton plays astronaut
Fred Haise, and Kevin Bacon plays astronaut Jack Swigert. These brave astronauts
were originally supposed to fly Apollo 14 but were changed to fly Apollo 13and faced
many situations that could have taken off of their lives. Throughout Apollo 13 it
displays the troubles behind the mission of this very dangerous task at hand. There
are problems with the mission controls and this causes near death incidents in the
space ship. As I watched this interesting and thrilling movie I discovered that the
scientist was very creative in their missions in space. In the end, an oxygen tank
explodes causing the undertaking to be shorter than intended and astronauts

How Is Blanche Dubois A Tragic Hero
In A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams, Blanche Dubois is the tragic
hero of the work. She is a confident woman who is capable of doing great things.
However, her own flaws and circumstances both go hand and hand and lead to her
downfall. There were multiple things that were completely out of Blanche s
control that led to the eventual mental breakdown. The first of many is the loss of
her childhood home and family. Blanche s sister, Stella, had already left her to go
build a life with her husband, so when she continues to lose things that tie her to the
place she grew up, it plays a big role in her mental instability. Blanche is clearly
shaken when telling her sister that she lost Belle Reve, Stella describes her episode

Nicolaus Copernicus Accomplishments
So far as hypotheses are concerned, let no one expect anything certain from
astronomy, which cannot furnish it, lest he accept as the truth ideas conceived for
another purpose, and depart from this study a greater fool than when he entered it.
this quote is from Nicolaus Copernicus, the famous astronomer who discovered
something remarkable. Copernicus was a part of the German heritage, but at the
time, the city of Torun where he was born was a part of Poland so some believed he
spoke some Polish as well. The remarkable discovery in which he found, was the
heliocentric universe, meaning the Sunwas the center of the universe not the Earth.

Another important factor that comes into play is the studies of further scientists,
such as Galileo Galilei, he was inspired by Copernicus and then fully proved his
theory with even more information and evidence, but once again the Catholic
Church did not allow him to publish his work, even though he was right, so he was
under house arrest for the rest of his life. Copernicus played another huge roll by
some of his other theories such as, passages in the Bible imply that the earth does not
move, the apparent annual cycle of movements of the sun is caused by the earth
orbiting it. which completely contradicts the Bible, he was right though with each
and every theory, however none of them could be published until later on because all
of his theories went completely against the Bible, the Church at this time would never
allow someone to publish work with clear and hard evidence against them. Now yes
humans probably would have discovered the heliocentric universe, but the amount of
time that would have taken would have been way longer, and somewhat harder if
other early scientists never discovered it. Without him creating this theory and then
having his publications help inspire others to study astronomy and prove the theory
even more, humans would not have been able to find the right pathways to shoot
probes and other space shuttles to different planets to study them, especially sending
people to the moon would have been extremely dangerous if Copernicus never
actually found the right solar system, the rocket might have been going the complete
opposite of where the moon actually
Causes And Treatment Of Liver Fibrosis
Liver fibrosis is the typical end stage, pathological process that follows chronic
hepatitis C(CHC)viral infection or other disorders of the liver.[1] Fibrosis is a
dynamic scarring process in which chronic inflammation stimulates production and
accumulation of collagen and extracellular matrix proteins as described in other
articles. [1, 2] Over time patients with CHC viral infection experience a remodelling
of the total collagen content. This progressive remodelling causes liverfibrosis, which
can lead to liver cirrhosis.[3 5]
Hepatic fibrosis and cirrhosis are potentially reversible with timely intervention. [1]
To achieve the best possible outcome, treatment must be initiated in the early stages
of liver fibrosis.[1] Another benefit of timely treatment of fibrosis and cirrhosis is the
prevention of hepato cellular carcinoma.[3, 6] Additionally, in patients with chronic
hepatitis C,anti viral treatment is indicated with severe fibrosis. [3, 6]Therefore,
clinicians must serially monitor the level and severity of fibrotic tissue, to ensure
timely treatment and to determine the patient s risk of liver related morbidity,
mortality and hepatic comorbidities, for example, portal hypertension or hepatic
carcinoma.[7 10]
Current methods used to monitor Hepatic Fibrosis and Cirrhosis available at

The liver biopsy remains the gold standard to determine the necro inflammation

How The Domestic Servants Changed In The 19th Century
Domestic servants were a large occupation for women in the 19th century.
Domestic servants were in upper class homes and lower class homes. Usually if
one wanted a butler or a professional cook or more one would typically be in higher
classes. When a family s income got to about 150 they got a general servant. It was
typically a young lady she would work 12 to 16 hours a day. When they got a bigger
income the highered more servants. They usually cleaned, cooked or hauled coal.
Who were the servants they were hard working people who dedicated their lives to

1881, the butler at Shibden was John Masfield and he was 26. He was born at
Gargrave in Yorkshire. Most of those employed in domestic service in Victorian
times were women, outnumbering men at over 20 to one by 1880. Indoor male
servants became rarer as the century progressed, as they became increasingly
expensive, and were considered the preserve of the wealthy. As at Shibden, there
was often only one male servant working with a team of women. It was only in very
large establishments that there were a group of male servants with lots of roles. In
smaller houses, like Shibden, the butler would be expected to combine a number of
different jobs, including footman, valet and page boy. His main duties would be:
Analysis Of Dante s Inferno
Dante s Divine Comedy is a work that has lasted many generations, and has greatly
contributed to even our own visualization of the afterlife. It is separated into three
parts with the most striking section of the work being the Inferno. In Inferno, the
character Dante travels through hell, and identifies the sins and consequent
punishment of those who are damned. However, Infernois not a simple report of an
event, but also includes several literary devices that convey grander and more
significant themes of sin, punishment, and the afterlife. These devices Dante uses in
his work are, but not limited to, symbolism, allegory, allusion, and a special kind of
irony called contrapasso, which will be discussed in this essay. Dante also arranges...

However, when many similar allusions appear in what seems to be a deliberate
order, it becomes noticeable that the author wanted to convey a topic or argument in
his or her writing without explicitly saying so. But, why do authors choose to hide
their ideas behind recurring symbols and allusions? They usually do this because it is
easier for them to demonstrate their beliefs through images and symbols than words.
Additionally, creating a text that has multiple layers of meaning also enriches the
work, and this is underlined by The Divine Comedy s long standing popularity.
(Encyclopedia Britannica) The Divine Comedy is considered to be an allegorical
work because there are many proposed theories for allegories throughout the story,
and even some that encompass the entire work. Additionally, because of its religious
subject matter, many scholars study The Divine Comedy as they would a religious

Conflict management assumes that conflict is a constant feature of group life. The
idea is to keep it within boundaries, not to eliminate it. Conflict resolution sees
conflict as an interruption of normal life.ii The idea is to find a solution usually a
compromise as quickly as possible. Conflict cannot be avoided, yet how religious
leaders speak about and react to the conflict will frame how the community handles
conflict that arises. The stories and teachings of the Bible assume that conflict and
change are a natural and normal part of individual and community life.iii As leaders,
we can be the voice that highlights overlooked insights and methods while
acknowledging and affirming the emotions in the conversation and what each person
has at stake in the decision making. People cause conflict. We can either further the
conflict or squander it with our actions.
The conflict that is dealt with, discussed, managed, and resolved can be good. This
kind of conflict provides an opportunity for growth and creative change. On the other
hand, the conflict that is left unattended and ignored can destroy unity, hinder growth,
and render ministry ineffective. Poorly managed situations can lead to increased
tension, decreased productivity, and lingering resentments that can last a very long
time. Alternatively, if the conflict is well managed, it can lead to improved
communication and teamwork, more innovative ideas, and increased motivation. We

though he asks her to be. She tries to give the black child a penny, and thus thinks that
she is indeed acting more accommodating to race, but succeeds only in drawing
attention to her antiquated notions of gentility. Thus the angelic description of her
physical features is very ironic. Heavenly, and Christian images are seen throughout
this short story, such as Julian being described as St. Sebastian, and Julian s mother
reminding him that Julian s grandmother was a Godhigh. Perhaps the images
foreshadow the upcoming death of Julian s mother, and her belief that she
absolutely deserves to go to heaven when she dies, though she does not know she
will die by the end of the story. Julian s mother believes she has done everything
right in her life, and though she is a very earnest and selfless woman, she is hardly
an angel.
The passage also alludes to Julian s mother being a child, or a ten year old, which
may have been the age when she knew Caroline, her darky nurse. At the end of the
story, she calls out for Caroline, probably because Caroline was the one who
would have helped her when she was a child and in trouble, but it is poignant that
she is described as being young, and in the last seconds of her life, she reverts back
to the childhood that she still resembles, even after all her years and troubles. The
passage also says that if

Immanuel Kant s Metaphysics
Immanuel Kant (1724 1804), was born in a Lutheran family in Konigsberg, Germany.
He went to the University of Konigsberg, where he studied under Martin Knutzen and
read the works of Leibniz and Leibniz scholar Christian Wolff. The Prolegomena to
any future metaphysics thesis is, Kant addresses the question of whether such a thing
as metaphysicsbe at all possible (818). He is addressing this topic to correct Hume s
skepticism. He also asks, If it be a science, how come it that it cannot, like other
sciences, obtain universal and permanent recognition (818)? To begin the answer to
these questions, Kant addresses David Hume s attempt at metaphysics, and explains
where Hume did not present a conclusion to the questions he had brought up.... Show

Examples Of Symbiotic Relationships In The Bean Trees
A symbiotic relationship is a mutually beneficial interaction between two or more
people, in which both involved gain something from the relationship. The overall
symbol of the wisteria vines in Barbara Kingsolver s The Bean Trees is an example
of a symbiotic relationship. By working together for a shared survival, both the
rhizobiaand the wisteria vines are able to better thrive in their environment and
achieve a balance that is only possible by the two factors working together.
Kingsolver s symbiotic relationships throughout The Bean Treesshow how people
can develop stronger relationships by working together and by developing systems of
support for each other, much like the rhizobia and the wisteria vines.
For instance, the relationship between Mattie and Taylor is symbiotic and leads to
the two growing a deeper connection through their support of each other. One of the
first examples of Mattie and Taylor s relationship is towards the middle of the book
when Taylor explains her new working situation. Taylor states that, In many ways it
was a perfect arrangement. You couldn t ask for better than Mattie. She was patient
and kind and let me bring in Turtle when I needed to (81). The characters are
developing a symbiotic relationship, because the two both benefit from Taylor s
working situation. While Mattie gains a new employee and Taylor gains a steady
job in her new town, both gain a close friend in the workplace. Later on in the novel,
Taylor and Mattie s relationship
Rama Mehta s Inside The Haveli Essay
Rama Mehta s Inside The Haveli(1977) presents the story of the protagonist Geeta s
identity crisis in the cross culture content. Brought up in Bombay, Geeta the
independent young women struggles to maintain her modern identity in a traditional
world of haveli of Udaipur, where she is married. Therefore, the novel projects a
womans story or a journey of a woman. Inside The Haveli is a novel that defines a
few bad customs like purdah traditions, narrow mindedness, women exploitation, girls
illiteracy and child marriageprevailed in a Rajputana haveli of Udaipur in Rajasthan,
India that is symbolic of prevalence of all these bad customs, rituals and rules in all
over India. The novel is an attack on traditinal mam dominating society. Almost
whole story revolves around the haveli where females are deprived of their right and
liberty and where the birth of a girlchild is considered bad. Feminism entered in
literature in 1960 s. It seems that Rama Mehta Inside The Haveli was inspired or
influenced by idea of feminism. I am projecting Geeta as a protagonist from a
feminist point of view. Rama Mehta occupies a significant place among others
women novelists. In Rama Mehta s Inside The Haveli. Geeta(mouth piece of Rama
Mehta) protagonist in modern educated young woman. She is crushed under the
weight of a male dominated and tradition bound society, she protests against this, her
protest makes the novel more emotional. There are many parts and points where we
can see how

That is, It is a Contract which is made in the Name of The President of India or in
the name of The Governor of a State with the other party. Definition of State It is
provided in Article 12. Which says: The State includes the Government and
Parliament of India and the Government and the Legislature of each of the States
and all local or other authorities within the territory of India or under the control
of the Government of India. Position in Britain According to Common Law, before
1947, the Crown could not be sued in a court on a contract. This privilege was
traceable to the days of feudalism when a lord could not be sued in his own courts.
Another maxim which was pressed into service was that the King can do no
wrong . A subject could, however, seek redress against the Crown through a
petition of right in which he set out his claim, and if the royal fiat was granted, the
action could then be tried in the court. The royal fiat was granted as a matter of
course and not as a matter of right, and there was no remedy if the fiat was refused.
The Crown Proceedings Act,1947, abolished this procedure and permitted suits being
brought against the Crown in the ordinary courts to enforce contractual liability, a
few types of contracts being, however, excepted. Position in India The Indian
Contract Act, 1872 does not prescribe any form for entering into contracts. A contract
may be oral or in writing. It

  • 1. The Fall Of The House Of Usher Essay Crafting an essay on the topic "The Fall of the House of Usher" can be quite challenging due to the intricate layers of symbolism, psychological depth, and Gothic elements within Edgar Allan Poe's masterpiece. Exploring themes of decay, madness, isolation, and the supernatural requires a keen analytical eye and a deep understanding of Poe's writing style and historical context. Additionally, interpreting the ambiguous ending and unraveling the mysteries surrounding the Usher family demands critical thinking and attention to detail. Moreover, constructing a compelling essay entails conducting thorough research to gather relevant literary criticism and scholarly interpretations. This involves delving into Poe's biography, examining his influences, and studying the broader literary movements of his time, such as Romanticism and Dark Romanticism. Drawing connections between the narrative's themes and Poe's own life experiences adds another layer of complexity to the analysis. Furthermore, crafting a well-structured essay requires formulating a coherent thesis statement supported by textual evidence and logical arguments. Balancing plot summary with insightful commentary while maintaining clarity and coherence can be a daunting task. Moreover, achieving originality in interpretation amidst the vast body of existing criticism presents a significant challenge for any aspiring essayist. In conclusion, writing an essay on "The Fall of the House of Usher" demands intellectual rigor, literary insight, and creative analysis. Though ballet may be a form of art, others consider it to be a sport in which many dancers also experience serious harms. In correspondence to different sports, ballet involves challenging skills and constant motions that lead to many types of injuries. The injuries that occur to ballet dancers can create long term and short term impacts in their lives. Some impacts it may have on dancers include: stress, eating disorders, and other mental health issues. In order to reduce the possible injuries of ballet and the impacts it has on dancers, instructors should limit the amount of exercises assigned to the students and students should consult to medical care... In some cases, dancers who overdo their trainings and practices are the ones at risk of injuries. The author, Anna Aalten in In the Presence of the Body: Theorizing Training, Injuries, and Pain in Ballet , shares her experience when she [discovered] that pushing her legs until they really hurt would bring her closer to the desired ideal (61). The idea of perfecting a skill or technique by any dancers can lead them to overlook any pain they are feeling which can later affect their body and performance in the long run. Studies show that stress is a consequence of the environment in which dancers practice ballet everyday, which is a world of no pain, no gain that is characterized by perfectionism and competition (Yatabe et al. 2). In this case, pain and stress can be further ignored and create a negative impact on dancers due to perfectionism if instructors do not cut down with their excessive trainings. Ballet dancers who demand their selves to perfect a skill or technique can be due to their desire of having the ideal body image. Ballet dancers striving for their ideal body image can lead them to having many stress

Thus, paved the way to be known as the Anglo Saxon Era. But I, the author of this essay, will simply discuss the Anglo Saxon s similarities and differences with the present modern time, specifically in three areas. And these areas would be gender roles, language and social conduct. Gender roles in the Anglo Saxon Era are very distant to each other. Men, who are usually the strong warriors, are of the dominant gender in the society. They were the symbol of heroism for being brave and strong. They were the ones who fought in wars, fighting for their society. Men were also the central leaders, as kings and rulers. Also, they were the ones to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Anglo Saxon had chieftains, who led men to military expeditions, which is similar with the generals of the modern time. But the Anglo Saxons had freedom in not showing up warrants, which is different from the present time for warrants, that are still required as of today, are needed to prove that they authorized people from the government. As of to the laws of the present time that are encoded in thick books, the Anglo Saxons laws were written in the vernacular. • 6. Harmful Effects Of Recycling In Landfills Recycling programs are in place all around the world yet most trash still ends up in a landfill. When something is being decomposed, it s being broken down slowly. When something is being decomposed by living bacteria or other living organisms then it is biodegradable. As an effect of this, eventually, the materials will be fully broken down. In landfills, most materials start to decompose (North and Halden 2013). Materials such as extruded polystyrenefoam, plastic, and paper that are in landfills can cause pollution. Pollution is the act of introducing something that will bring harmful effects. Biodegradation helps to reduce the amount of trash in landfills so that landfills do not become full of capacity. About 30% of landfill space is filled with extruded polystyrene foam products alone (Little 2017). Landfills are quickly being filled and very soon there will not be enough space in the world to place trash. extruded polystyrene foam is a material that decomposes over a long period. Inside extruded polystyrene foam is a chemical called Styrene which leaches into substances leading to water pollution when it precipitates and the runoff goes into nearby bodies of water (Little 2017). When something leaches it is being percolated into another liquid or substance. 34 million tons of plastic were produced in 2008 in the United States alone and 86% ended up in landfills (North and Halden 2013). That s a lot of plastic that ended up in landfills. Over the years the numbers

  • 8. Essay on Comparison of Jackson s Short Story The Lottery... Almost every person in the world holds a set of traditions which have been established and practiced for a long period of time. However, some traditions often cause us to not see the rationality despite of the destructive nature it may have. In Shirley Jackson s short story, The Lottery , a sacrifice of one s life becomes the jackpot of an annual event held in a small town. This society s traditions have caused the people to do away with their rational thoughts and the values of their lives as they have become so stuck in their own cultural beliefs. In some towns, the lottery takes nearly two days and must be started on the 26th. Jackson writes it could begin at ten o clock in the morning and still be through in time to allow the villagers to get home for noon dinner (156). This states that they want to get this completed so they can return home with their families and have a family lunch. Relaying no emotion to the fact that death is the outcome of this whole ordeal. In the film The Lottery the setting is more modern and appears to be in the 1960 s even. You are able to identify this due to the articles of clothing they possess, the way the towns people do their hair and make up in some sort. Another clue is the shops out front of the town square, compared to the short story; it was led to believe as if none of that had come into place at the time. Also the area seems to be more industrialized than a rural town would be i.e. automobiles. It is never clear as to what day it may be until the characters give dialogue of the other towns having to start the lottery a day ahead June 27th. The town s people seem to have much more concern and empathy in the film rather than the short story because of the emphasis they put on the characters faces and their dialogue. This site has archaeological evidence of metallurgical activities in the Iron Age (c. 900 600 BCE), like kilns, furnaces and metal objects, still in very good condition. However, the site is very far away from any natural water sources in the present day. Excavators did find sediment and fluvial deposits suggesting that occasionally in the past the site had an inflow of water (Genchi, Giardino, and Castelluccia 8). Excavators found kilns and furnaces, layers of floor, and metal objects, like ax heads, swords, daggers, and sledgehammer heads in very good condition. Excavators believe it is a very well preserved site because of the formation and rapid movement of the desert sands which covered up the site relatively quickly after it was abandoned (Genchi, Giardino, and Castelluccia 3 4). Sites with similar metal deposits dating to approximately the same time have been found in the region, at Ibri, for example, 50 km west of As Safah (Yule 39 40). The site itself has been delineated into As Safah 1 and 2 based upon the deposit of material found on either side of a large dune belt (Genchi, Giardino, and Castelluccia 3). As Safah 1 measures approximately 80,000 m2 and As Safah 2 measures approximately 17 hectares (Genchi, Giardino, and Castelluccia 11). The surrounding area is made up of a wadi and dune deposits and the annual precipitation is less than 50 mm. As a result, large amounts of rainfall will cause flash floods in this and surrounding low areas (Genchi, Giardino, and Castelluccia 5 6). Voltage Between The Antenna And Antenna 3.6.6 Voltage Standing Wave Ratio There should be a maximum power transfer between the transmitter and the antenna for the antenna to perform very well. This happens only when the impedance Zin is matched to the transmitter internal impedance, Zs. In the process of accomplishing this particular configuration for an antenna to perform very well, there is always a reflecting power which leads to the standing waves, which is categorized by the Voltage Standing WaveRatio (VSWR). This is given by [30]: VSWR=V_max/V_min =(1+|О“|)/(1 |О“| )=(1+S_11)/(1 S_11 ) Eq. Instead of picking a musical I love like Annie , Legally Blonde , or Hamilton. I chose a murder mystery play called The Mousetrap. Going into the process I had a pretty good idea of what the play was about, because I had seen it when Oconomowoc High School did it for their senior directed play in 2015, and then I also saw it again in December of that year with my drama class when the Milwaukee Rep did it. When I first say the play I loved it! I was so intrigued from the very beginning and all the way to the last second. That very night that I saw the show I went home and looked it on youtube and started to watch it again, and to be honest I rewatched it several times since then. After seeing it I started promoting the show, and I went and told all of my friends that it was something they had to go see and that it was written so brilliantly!... This event sparked a new era of immigration to California in 1848. The gold rush began on January 24, 1848 when gold was found by James Marshall, a foreman for John Sutter, at Sutter s Mill in Coloma, California(Bancroft 32). Initially the news was kept a secret due to the risk of a massive wave of gold seekers interfering with Sutter s land and agricultural plans. However, by March of 1848, Samuel Brannan s flamboyant confirmation to the rumors created the California gold rush. Hordes of people from around the world traveled to California in search for gold and success. San Francisco s population exponentially grew from a small settlement of about 200 residents in 1846 to a city of about 36,000 by 1852 (Johnson 12 14). As news spread, the event became known worldwide. The gold rush in California was a vital event that became the basis for the social and economic boom that subsequently fashioned global fame, an influx of settlers and, as a result, the 31st addition to the union as The Golden State . California s gold rush began on March 1848. Just two months prior, gold was discovered in Sutter s mill. The news was never meant to spread over anywhere else but, to their dismay, the news for gold discovered was far too immense to be kept a secret for too long. As rumors circulated then were confirmed,

Though there are many ways to do this, instilling the lesson into something that they enjoy, such as reading picture books, is a pretty good place to start. In the children s book Go Away, Big Green Monster, author Ed Emberley successfully uses ugly adjectives, multiple pictures, and a few forceful words in order to convince the children reading the book that they can take charge of their fears in almost any situation as long as they face them first. As each page progresses, the author adds another feature to the monster. This is to make it seem like the monsters power is just being built up. If the author would have just described all of the features of the monster in one page, no suspense would have been created in the minds of the children, and they wouldn t have been as interested in turning to the next page, because their fearhad already been revealed. Emberley used the technique of using more pictures than words in order to break down the fear at a constant rate rather than all at once, and once the full monster was revealed and the next page began taking away features, the child was able to realize that the power laid in their hands,... I was born into that religion and was practicing it until my family decided to leave it when I was 10. As such, I do have the desire to learn more about Buddhismand as such is the reason why the chapter on Buddhism attracted to me. By reading this chapter it gave me a whole understanding of its origins and how such a religion was created. To start off, the creation of Buddhism happened around the same time that Mahavira is teaching the ways of the Jains (pg 136). The person who would become the first Buddha taught on how to cure earthly suffering. It was somewhat common to other religions as they all provided comfort to their following on the suffering that was happening to them in the world (pg 136). One thing I found quite interesting was how the Buddha taught Buddhism. He taught his followers that by understanding how we create suffering for ourselves, we can become free. This holds very true outside of Buddhism, as by seeing how one is affected by negativity and suffering one can put into action how to remove or change the situation. The Buddha teaching reached far and wide and had touched almost every part of Asia. In some countries, Buddhism became a religion that dominated the region. As the religion spread,

Copernicus was a part of the German heritage, but at the time, the city of Torun where he was born was a part of Poland so some believed he spoke some Polish as well. Another important factor that comes into play is the studies of further scientists, such as Galileo Galilei, he was inspired by Copernicus and then fully proved his theory with even more information and evidence, but once again the Catholic Church did not allow him to publish his work, even though he was right, so he was under house arrest for the rest of his life. Copernicus played another huge roll by some of his other theories such as, passages in the Bible imply that the earth does not move, the apparent annual cycle of movements of the sun is caused by the earth orbiting it. which completely contradicts the Bible, he was right though with each and every theory, however none of them could be published until later on because all of his theories went completely against the Bible, the Church at this time would never allow someone to publish work with clear and hard evidence against them. Now yes humans probably would have discovered the heliocentric universe, but the amount of time that would have taken would have been way longer, and somewhat harder if other early scientists never discovered it. Without him creating this theory and then having his publications help inspire others to study astronomy and prove the theory even more, humans would not have been able to find the right pathways to shoot probes and other space shuttles to different planets to study them, especially sending people to the moon would have been extremely dangerous if Copernicus never actually found the right solar system, the rocket might have been going the complete opposite of where the moon actually

Causes And Treatment Of Liver Fibrosis Liver fibrosis is the typical end stage, pathological process that follows chronic hepatitis C(CHC)viral infection or other disorders of the liver.[1] Fibrosis is a dynamic scarring process in which chronic inflammation stimulates production and accumulation of collagen and extracellular matrix proteins as described in other articles. [1, 2] Over time patients with CHC viral infection experience a remodelling of the total collagen content. This progressive remodelling causes liverfibrosis, which can lead to liver cirrhosis.[3 5] Hepatic fibrosis and cirrhosis are potentially reversible with timely intervention. [1] To achieve the best possible outcome, treatment must be initiated in the early stages of liver fibrosis.[1] Another benefit of timely treatment of fibrosis and cirrhosis is the prevention of hepato cellular carcinoma.[3, 6] Additionally, in patients with chronic hepatitis C,anti viral treatment is indicated with severe fibrosis. [3, 6]Therefore, clinicians must serially monitor the level and severity of fibrotic tissue, to ensure timely treatment and to determine the patient s risk of liver related morbidity, mortality and hepatic comorbidities, for example, portal hypertension or hepatic carcinoma.[7 10] Current methods used to monitor Hepatic Fibrosis and Cirrhosis available at Fremantle Hospital. The liver biopsy remains the gold standard to determine the necro inflammation (grading) and fibrotic tissue (staging) components of liver fibrosis severity.[9,

  • 37. Analysis Of Dante s Inferno Dante s Divine Comedy is a work that has lasted many generations, and has greatly contributed to even our own visualization of the afterlife. It is separated into three parts with the most striking section of the work being the Inferno. In Inferno, the character Dante travels through hell, and identifies the sins and consequent punishment of those who are damned. However, Infernois not a simple report of an event, but also includes several literary devices that convey grander and more significant themes of sin, punishment, and the afterlife. These devices Dante uses in his work are, but not limited to, symbolism, allegory, allusion, and a special kind of irony called contrapasso, which will be discussed in this essay. Dante also arranges... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, when many similar allusions appear in what seems to be a deliberate order, it becomes noticeable that the author wanted to convey a topic or argument in his or her writing without explicitly saying so. But, why do authors choose to hide their ideas behind recurring symbols and allusions? They usually do this because it is easier for them to demonstrate their beliefs through images and symbols than words. Additionally, creating a text that has multiple layers of meaning also enriches the work, and this is underlined by The Divine Comedy s long standing popularity. (Encyclopedia Britannica) The Divine Comedy is considered to be an allegorical work because there are many proposed theories for allegories throughout the story, and even some that encompass the entire work. Additionally, because of its religious subject matter, many scholars study The Divine Comedy as they would a religious work. For many, this entails interpreting the text in both a literal and figurative sense (Encyclopedia Britannica). One of the most popular and debated events is in Canto IX when the characters Dante and Virgil arrive at the gates to the city of Dis. Beyond the locked gates, in the city, are the remaining circles of Hell the characters need to travel through. However, they are spotted by three furies (some kind of beasts in hell), and are

I Am A Strategic Thinker Reflecting upon my personal areas for growth, I recognize a deep need to become more comfortable amiss conflict and to be an active participant in resolving conflict throughout the various aspects of my life. Conflict resolution is a necessary skill in order to be an adaptable minister and chaplain. It is essential to understand what the sources of tension may be and how to react in grace and love to work towards reconciliation. I am not an assertive person and have found myself avoiding conflictthrough compromising or giving up my ideas for another. Conflict cannot be avoided, yet how religious leaders speak about and react to the conflict will frame how the community handles conflict that arises. The stories and teachings of the Bible assume that conflict and change are a natural and normal part of individual and community life.iii As leaders, we can be the voice that highlights overlooked insights and methods while acknowledging and affirming the emotions in the conversation and what each person has at stake in the decision making. People cause conflict. We can either further the conflict or squander it with our actions. The conflict that is dealt with, discussed, managed, and resolved can be good. This kind of conflict provides an opportunity for growth and creative change. On the other hand, the conflict that is left unattended and ignored can destroy unity, hinder growth, and render ministry ineffective. Poorly managed situations can lead to increased tension, decreased productivity, and lingering resentments that can last a very long time. Alternatively, if the conflict is well managed, it can lead to improved communication and teamwork, more innovative ideas, and increased motivation. We let present annoyances

Julian s Racist Mother in O Connor s Everything That Rises Must Converge She lifted the hat one more time and set it down slowly on her head. Two wings of gray hair protruded on either side of her florid face, but her eyes, sky blue, were as innocent as they must have been when she was ten. Where it not that she was a widow who had struggled fiercely to feed and clothe and put him through school and who was supporting him still, until he got on his feet, she might have been a little girl that he had to take to town. This passage was taken from Everything That Rises Must Converge and describes Julian s mother, who remains nameless in the story. It particularly describes her face and hair, which make her sound, ironically, like an... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She helps her son financially, and therefore does not try to be more accepting, even though he asks her to be. She tries to give the black child a penny, and thus thinks that she is indeed acting more accommodating to race, but succeeds only in drawing attention to her antiquated notions of gentility. Thus the angelic description of her physical features is very ironic. Heavenly, and Christian images are seen throughout this short story, such as Julian being described as St. Sebastian, and Julian s mother reminding him that Julian s grandmother was a Godhigh. Perhaps the images foreshadow the upcoming death of Julian s mother, and her belief that she absolutely deserves to go to heaven when she dies, though she does not know she will die by the end of the story. Julian s mother believes she has done everything right in her life, and though she is a very earnest and selfless woman, she is hardly an angel. The passage also alludes to Julian s mother being a child, or a ten year old, which may have been the age when she knew Caroline, her darky nurse. At the end of the story, she calls out for Caroline, probably because Caroline was the one who would have helped her when she was a child and in trouble, but it is poignant that she is described as being young, and in the last seconds of her life, she reverts back to the childhood that she still resembles, even after all her years and troubles. The passage also says that if

The Prolegomena to any future metaphysics thesis is, Kant addresses the question of whether such a thing as metaphysicsbe at all possible (818). He is addressing this topic to correct Hume s skepticism. He also asks, If it be a science, how come it that it cannot, like other sciences, obtain universal and permanent recognition (818)? For instance, the relationship between Mattie and Taylor is symbiotic and leads to the two growing a deeper connection through their support of each other. One of the first examples of Mattie and Taylor s relationship is towards the middle of the book when Taylor explains her new working situation. Taylor states that, In many ways it was a perfect arrangement. You couldn t ask for better than Mattie. She was patient and kind and let me bring in Turtle when I needed to (81). Which says: The State includes the Government and Parliament of India and the Government and the Legislature of each of the States and all local or other authorities within the territory of India or under the control of the Government of India. Position in Britain According to Common Law, before 1947, the Crown could not be sued in a court on a contract. This privilege was traceable to the days of feudalism when a lord could not be sued in his own courts. Another maxim which was pressed into service was that the King can do no wrong . A subject could, however, seek redress against the Crown through a petition of right in which he set out his claim, and if the royal fiat was granted, the action could then be tried in the court. The royal fiat was granted as a matter of course and not as a matter of right, and there was no remedy if the fiat was refused. The Crown Proceedings Act,1947, abolished this procedure and permitted suits being brought against the Crown in the ordinary courts to enforce contractual liability, a few types of contracts being, however, excepted. Position in India The Indian Contract Act, 1872 does not prescribe any form for entering into contracts. A contract may be oral or in writing. It
