Ukrainian potato pancakes, also known as deruny, are a traditional Ukrainian dish made from grated potatoes and onions mixed with flour, egg, and sour cream. The batter is ladled into a hot, oiled frying pan and fried on both sides until golden brown. Best served warm with sour cream, deruny were prepared and shared by students from Sokal School #4 in Ukraine as part of their cultural heritage.
