A study of 500 students from 5 universities in Delhi found that depression, anxiety, and stress are major issues. Nearly 18% had thoughts of self-harm or suicide, while 65% experienced depression. 20% used substances like alcohol or tobacco. The report found students are overwhelmed by academics and careers while also struggling with relationships and self-confidence.
