2. WHAT IS A JAMB EXAMINATION?
Jamb exam is one that is organised by the Nigerian University entrance board to separate the weeds from
the seeds. The teeming population of students need to be separated into candidates capable of doing the
best courses in the best of Universities and those who can be dumped anywhere. By anywhere I mean,
other cadres of institutions and lesser courses. They’ll tell you you can work anywhere.

3. WHAT YOUR TARGET SHOULD BE.
• Almost every one wants the best so Almost everyone wants to be at The best of places. To attend the
best institutions and study the most sought after courses.
• Your target should be scoring nothing less than 270.
• These days …. You now target what?
• 200 …. You hear…kin Sha ti gba 200.
• Let me break it to you, scoring 200 won’t get you law, medicine, mass com, banking and finance, bla bla
in any reputable institution… except you want to go to gateway poly, sapade or Harvade in one bush in
Ogun state.

4. HOW DO YOU PREPARE?
Lol… isn’t this a little too late?
Well, the sun in the sky can still dry the cloth a little.
The best approach to preparing for JAMB exam is to WORK and PRAY.

6. WORK
• Apply correctly and smartly – based on your abilities
• Get preparatory materials – past questions, textbooks and online resources, recommended texts etc.
• Prepare a study time table and a comfortable study environment
• Start study on time
• Study study study
• Treat past questions
• Practice CBT
• Be ready a week to your exam.

7. AT THE VENUE
• Locate your centre early enough – don’t go there looking for venue on the exam date.
• Familiarize yourself with people around and even officials
• Do not read at the venue and do not panic.
• Sleep well a day before your exam. Sleeeeeeep well.
• Go with your examination slip
• Except you are going with someone, try not to go with your phone.
• Dress decently with good hairstyle – a day of moderation won’t kill you.
• Attempt questions you know well first.

8. PRAY
• Do I need to tell you any other thing as regards this?
I have seen people prepare and still forget
I have seen people with cancelled results
I have seen people caught up in traffic
I have seen people who were implicated.
Do not under estimate the power of prayer…
But that is after you have worked.
My prayer is that God will crown your efforts with success.
