3. 1st SITE JAMA MASJID
Metro Tunneling Work: Near jama masjid @ subhash park
â˘At the site of jama masjid work starts from the south shaft of the site
that is the Grid 1.
â˘Soldier piles of dimension of 22.5 m are used and are installed at 3
metres below the ground level. Main function of the soldier piles are to
retain the soil.
At jama masjid site it was reported us that in geotechnical survey of
the soil the strata was rocky, therefore the method of bottom â up is
used.
4. â˘CC-05 PROJECT STATIONS HELD FROM MANDI HOUSE TO JAMA
â˘MASJID
⢠PACKAGE = RS 725 CRORE
Station Box levels:
â˘Undercraft level
â˘Platform level
â˘Concourse level
â˘Top slab level
â˘Total no of 29 grids and the tunnel distance is 2.58 km.
â˘It is line 8: starts from central secretariat - janpath - ITO â delhi gate â
⢠jm upto kashmiri gate.
â˘Length of the underground station is about 250 m.
5. 2ND SITE
MANDI HOUSE
Day 1
A cage is constructed with diff bars according to BBS to be placed in a trench of
13.69m under GL.
COVER TOP TO BOTTOM=150CM
16mm*20mm bars
G3 polymer is used to avoid seepage. Different polymud tanks are provided, the
length of polymud tanks are same butt width, height and volume is different.
Cover blocks-
These are provided to maintain gap between earth and steel. it also helps to crawl
the cage in ground.
There are all total 22 panels.
Water walls-
These are provided to compact water bath and to avoid sliding of polymud.
6. To avoid seepage pvc, water stopper is used
Width-300 and 800mm
Depth-200
Pvc water stopper.
KODEN MACHINE-
To check the symmetry of trench with the help of trench with the help of graph.
DM-604: MACHINE USED FOR OPERATING GRAPH.
AS PER BBS â
INVERTED L SHAPE-
-it prevents the collapse of soil while boring d wall.
Provide alignment
Gives edge protection.
Cage-
c/c dist is 25mm as 20mm aggs are used.
7. Guide wall-
8mm bars @200mm*200mm spacing
-depth of guide wall-1.5mt from GL.
COMPACTION IS NECESSARY.
DAY3
Grade of concrete-m35
Cement- Ultratech OPC 53gRADE
Workability of concrete desired slump-after 150 min
Max size of agg-20mm
Sieve analysis-.27%
Day 4
Instruments that are fitted in the area near the site.
.
8. Piezometer- for measuring the level of flow.
Soil settlement point (ssp)-for keeping info about soil settled.
Building settlement point (bsp)-to check settlement of building
affected by const.
Tilt meter-knowing how much nearby buildings have tilted.
Crack meter-
Fixed in crack location of building.
Pavement meter-
How much pavement is affected by const.
Inclinometer-how much the d wall has moved from its position.
Day 5
Crabbing was done.
Cement bags were collected
9. 3RD SITE
ITO STATION
SITE VISIT:
Guide wall
Diaphragm wall
Diaphragm wall cage
Reinforcement details
NECESSITY OF D- WALL
To carry the total load of the slab.
Concourse slab (station, ticket lab etc.)
Base slab (platform) and train passes.
Diaphragm wall is a foundational structure which carries total load i.e.
dead and live load.
Length of the underground station is about 250m.
At the ITO station TOP to BOTTOM method is used.
Polymers or bentonite is used to prevent the soil collapse.
These are applied where soils are loose or the bearing capacity is low.
We have to maintain the bentonite after the 1m of depth.
And the depth of the D â wall from top is 22.5m

11. SITE = 5
CASTING YARD @ MUNDKA
Casting yard is the site where the casting of the segments are
done.
It was reported us that six segments makes one ring.
For turning left:âtâ symbol is given
And for straight:âzâ symbol is given
âzkâ stands for straight key
18. And total capacity of a ring is 7.89 m3 (exact)
1 cubic meter of concrete
â˘410 kg of cement
â˘1110 kg of aggregate (666+444)
Since two grade of aggregates are used i.e. 20mm and 10mm whose specific
gravity is 2.74 and 2.0 respectively.
â˘760 kg of sand
â˘151 l of water
â˘0.5 % (by weight of cement microsilica)
â˘Microsilica- 22kg
â˘Admixture 2.16 kg
â˘W/C ratio â 0.35 to 0.4
â˘Cement used â ULTRA TECH 53 GRADE
â˘Admixture used is gallanium
19. The capacity of the Batching Plant at the CASTING YARD is 30 cu m. And at the batching plant
there are four buckets for the aggregates, one for 10mm aggr, two for 10 mm and one for
sand. And the plant is set as AUTO
TESTING RING

25. A tunnel boring machine (TBM) also known as a "mole", is a machine
used to excavate tunnels with a circular cross section through a
variety of soil and rock strata. They can bore through anything from
hard rock to sand. Tunnel diameters can range from a metre (done
with micro-TBMs) to 19.25 m to date. Tunnels of less than a metre or
so in diameter are typically done usingtrenchless
construction methods or horizontal directional drilling rather than
TBMs.
LASER DISTOMETER
Laser Distometer is a superb device or machine or equipment used to
find out the distance at 100% accuracy without using any chain or tape.
