the need for health care. Also one will illustrate the adjustment and transition from work to

When the other percentage of older adults cannot maintain to keep their homes, they will end up
with relatives most likely their children. Three fourths of Americans end up living in poor quality
areas. Those who live in these deteriorating, crime ridden, decaying neighborhoods are potentially
more capable of being robbed or mugged. Fortunately there are several areas in which older people
can go to where they have assisted living options. These facilities can offer help with maintenance,
daily meals, social centers, and protection.
Health care will be needed more in the older population than any other. The old ageis growing
continuously. There are more of the older adults today than babies. Older adults are more likely
to have a long term illness. During the 80 s the government said they were no longer able to pay
for health care. This resulted in eligibility and limits in paying off the payments. If limits continue
to be present, this can result in the poor and older people to face untreated illnesses and have a
higher risk of death. Physicians are mainly trained to watch over the youth meaning the less
interest in helping the older adults. The older population will be neglected and can be mis
diagnosed. Those who also have lack of transportation will also end up with inadequate care.
How is the adjustment and transition from work to retirement? The main goal of society is to
maintain the work flow and keeping a high rate of employment. A factor that was used in

5. Hangman Figurative Language
While all people like to believe they are virtuous and honorable, it is often not the case. In fact,
many would rather stand by and watch as unjust treatment occur, thinking it would not affect them.
These people, known collectively as bystanders, are present at the event, but choose to not take
part in it. They often feel remorse for the sufferer, yet would not lend a hand in fear of becoming
one. In The Hangman , a narrative poem by Maurice Ogden, and Eve Bunting s Terrible Things
,figurative language is used to emphasize the significance of bystanders. These literary devices help
develop several cruel yet irrefutable themes. In summary, Maurice Ogden s poem tells the tale of a
Hangman who methodically terminates an entire... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact, they never even questioned the Terrible Things purpose. When the youngest of the creatures
asked: But why do the Terrible Things take them away? , the response was: ... the Terrible Things
don t need a reason. Just mind your own business... We don t want them to get mad at us (page 2).
This inferior feeling is consistent throughout the story, and restricts the creatures from protesting.
In the end, all but one were taken; however, had they united, it might have been different. Both
texts utilize repetition to develop their respective themes. Maurice Ogden repeats the Hangman
s riddle like answers over and over, exposing the town s ignorance as they abstain from further
interrogation of the foreigner. Comparably, many scenes from Bunting s tale also replays over
and over such as the Terrible Things visits and the animals judgements. Every time a species was
taken, the remaining creatures would always find a flaw of the species to point at; even when
there is nothing wrong, they would have something to discriminate. For example, when the frogs
and fish were taken, their argument was many creatures dislike frogs... and fish are so cold and
unfriendly (page 3). As absurd as the reasons are, the gullible crowds in both stories never fail to
buy into them. Furthermore, when each victim is taken, even though they breathed again for
another s grief... the Hangman s hand was [their] relief (stanza 1, line 6). The same idea is

7. Essay on Machiavelli and the Roman Empire
Machiavelli argued, as Hegel would later, that one must look to history and the accounts of
previous nations events in order to quot;sense...that flavor that they have in themselves quot; in
common with those from the past (Discourses 6). This seems to follow the adage that those who
do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it, yet for Machiavelli he seems more concerned
with actually emulating history in order to repeat success than looking out for particular things to
avoid. For this reason, he pulls examples from an eclectic range of histories in order to demonstrate
how his principles in both The Princeand the Discourses on Livy, when followed, will lead to a
successful state. In particular, he refers to the Roman Republic... Show more content on

Starting out as a principality, one prince after the other begins to quot;surpass the others in
sumptuousness and lasciviousness, quot; prompting the people to overthrow him to rid themselves
of his tyranny. An aristocracy, which Machiavelli means as a rule of the Good, then takes control,
but shortly thereafter they too succumb to the temptation of exploiting their power. Again, the
masses must usurp the rule of the few and, still remembering what events had transpired in the
past, they keep the power for themselves and establish a popular state. In spite of their good
intentions, the people soon find they can t keep a firm control on the populace ( quot;a thousand
injuries were done every day quot;) so they regress to a principality. Such a sequence of events
would likely go on ad infinitum if the transitions didn t weaken the state to such a degree that its
lasting one complete turn of the cycle is less likely than becoming quot;subject to a neighboring
state that is ordered better than it quot; (Discourse 11 13). The history of France during the
eighteenth and nineteenth centuries is exemplary of how a state, fortunate to not have been
overtaken, will cycle through different types of rule due to the eventual erosion

Americans who care about the civil right movement. In order to defend the strategy of
nonviolent resistance to racism and respond to being called an outsider, King wrote his famous
letter Letter from a Birmingham Jail. So why the King s letter is so powerful and convincing to
the readers? Is it because of his identity of civil rights leader and his credibility(ethos)? Is it by
the reason of the argument there are just laws and unjust laws (King) which he exerted
numerous theoretical basis with utmost efforts(logos)? Or, It s due to his passionate writing
style and the description of the image of the oppressed black people(pathos). Actually, It s all of

had already manifested his great ethos. He showed his sincere attitude to readers to better
answer their questions, But since I feel that you are men of genuine good will and that your
criticisms are sincerely set forth, I want to try to answer your statement in what I hope will be
patient and reasonable terms (King), which enabled him to establish his trust in some demanding
readers. Moreover, at the end of the letter, he wrote, I also hope that circumstances will soon
make it possible for me to meet each of you, not as an integrationist or a civil rights leader but as a

9. Summary Of The Poem Advice To My Son
The poem Advice to My Son written by Peter Meinke and Mother to Son by Langston Hughes
explores beauties and practicalities of life, they are very short poems but nonetheless very
meaningful and powerful. Both speakers of the poems are parents who are passing on valuable
advice to their children. The speaker in the poem Mother to Son tells her son some of the battles
she s gone threw in life. She s giving her son the lesson that life isn t always the easiest but to
always keep going forward and to stay positive about life. On the other hand, the poem Advice to
my Son is advising his son to balance the beauties of life and to be careful because it s not always
easy. In the world today, relationships are vital to get by the hardships the world gives us every
day. One of the best relationships people will ever have is the relations with their parents. They
might be unaware of it until they mature, but parentchild relations are always extraordinary.
Communication, respect, and safety are very important for parent child relationships. A parent
should always telltheir child to live life and have fun. In the poem, Advice to My Son, the author
states, but, son, always serves wine. (Meinke 22). In this poem the father tells his son that life is
short, and he should live it day by day, but always plan ahead. The most important thing he tells
his son is to always have fun, no matter what he is doing. Also, a parent should know when it is
time to let their child to soar and be more independent. On the other hand, the poem Mother to
Son states Life for me ain t been no crystal stair (Hughes 2). She uses the staircase as a metaphor
of her life journeys. As a result, her life hasn t always been polished, gentle, or has it been
effortless. Thus, she is telling her son life for him won t always be ideal or steady. She states that
her life It s had tacks in it, and splinters (Hughes 3 4). She is representing the rough times in her
life, including the misery and heartaches. Tacks and splinters she shows some of life her troubles
that where short and long term pains. Like the tacks, the pain might have stung for short period, but
where quickly healed. The splinters represent wounds that took time to heal which

10. Research Paper On Digestion
Digestion: From beginning to end
Digestion, how you get your energy and nutrients, seems simple. However, it is actually a complex
process involving three organ systems and many stages.
When food is put in the mouth, the teeth grind it up into a paste and the amylase in the saliva
begins to break down the carbohydrates. Swallowing takes the food into the oesophagus and by
peristalsis moves it into the stomach. In the stomach, strong hydrochloric acid breaks down
complex proteins over a period of a few hours. The resulting mixture then moves into the small
intestine, the start of which is called the duodenum. Here, bile from the liver and enzymes from the
pancreas mix into the food. As the mixture moves down the small intestine, the enzymes ... Show

However, respiration requires two ingredients glucose and oxygen. The glucose is obtained from
carbohydrates, but the oxygen must be taken from the air. The diaphragm contracts, expanding the
lung cavity and sucking in air through the mouth and nose. It passes through the trachea, splits into
two when it meets the bronchi and splits many more times through the bronchioles and into the
alveoli.
The blood passes through the vena cava and into the right side of the heart, where the valves
accelerate it towards the lungs through the pulmonary artery. It travels into capillaries and passes
by the alveoli, where gas exchange occurs. Oxygen in the alveoli is taken by the red blood cells
and carbon dioxide from the plasma is passed into the alveoli. The newly oxygenated blood travels
through the pulmonary vein and back into the theart, this time the left side of it. The blood gets
pumped through the aorta and other arteries before it gets to the cells it needs to go

A sanguinary and exhausting ordeal, the Mexican American War greatly influenced New Mexico
because of its many lasting effects. Fought between 1846 and 1848, the relatively short Mexican
American War s effects still resonate in modern times. For New Mexico, the War determined the

officials in hopes of forming a peace treaty. Unfortunately for Trist, at the time, the Mexican
government refused to negotiate with Trist or anyone else from the American government.
However, by the later part of the year, after U.S. forces led by General Winfield Scott had battled
their way through Mexico from Veracruz to Mexico City, Mexican officials realized that they
had no choice but to negotiate with Trist. Even though President Polk ordered him to return to
Washington, D.C., Trist stayed in Mexico City to negotiate with Mexican officials. Finally, on
February 2, 1848, Nicholas Trist along with other Mexican officials signed the Treaty of

land in its northern territories, including New Mexico, to the United States, and that it would

14. Journal Of The Plague Year Essay
This paper is a literary analysis of a select passage from page 151 of Daniel Defoe s, Journal of
the Plague Year. The focus of this passage is the narrator s feelings about the plague s
relationship with human nature. In this passage H.F. (Defoe) asserts that another plague year
would reconcile all destructive differences between people. Consequently, this passage does not
correspond with the expected perspective of a plague survivor. The original intent of Journal of
the Plague year was to be a realistic account of the plague from the prospective of H.F., a man
living in London during the great visitation of 1665. The intention of the book does not match the
content of the passage from page 151 because in this passage Daniel Defoerepeatedly... Show more

This section of the passage also highlights the passages theme of the individual versus the
collective. Specifically, through the perspective of H.F., Defoe asserts that religious sects should
combine into one overarching religion. In that, the Anglican church should bind with dissenting
religions and therefore absorb more of their characteristics. Although H.F. has this opinion, he
believes that it is not feasible. He claims, he has, no mind to enter arguments (151), but again his
persuasive language contradicts this claim. Defoe continues to cover up his opinion, which further
illustrates how he is trying to hide how his personal perspective is influencing his writing.
In summary, the authors perspective as someone is not a survivor of the plague heavily
influenced the content of this passage. The passage s bias shows Defoe s insertion of his own
opinion. His detached perspective is evident through H.F. s emotional distance, use of persuasive
language, and attempts to conceal his own opinion. This passage contains the inappropriate bias of
the author, which deceives the reader who believes this is the opinion of a survivor of the plague of

the Trial of the Century and become the most watched trial on national television. The prosecution
chose to file this case in Los Angeles instead of Santa Monica, where the crimewas committed, due
to a poll that was taken where Caucasians believed Simpson was guilty and African Americans
believed he was not guilty. Three months after the murders the jury pool started with 250 potential
jurors with the judge, the prosecuting and defending lawyers and OJ himself.

These questions were used to see if any of these potential jurors were prejudiced against the case,
their own personal opinions were put into play. In order for the jury to be selected, jurors could
not have any personal opinions against the defendant or the case itself. It was found out that
African American females didn t like Nicole Brown Simpson and might be on edge around the
prosecutor, who was a female. After many tests and even reviews of the jurors (body language,
their answers during the questionnaires, etc.) the twelve jurors were selected on November 3; they
were 8 African Americans, 2 Hispanics, 1 half Caucasian, half Native American and a Caucasian
female along with 15 alternates for backups.
I think the voir dire was very helpful in this particular case. The judge believed that many jurors
were lying just to be a part of the case and even insisted on having the potential jurors take a
polygraph test. One of the lawyers thought that this might be offensive to some so they chose not
to. Having OJ Simpson within reach during the voir dire was really helpful because that way the
lawyers can judge how a person will act or behave during the trial. The lawyers quickly found out
that African American women didn t like Nicole Brown Simpson because they thought she was

A escalated large number of mobile phones has very much made the road safety community
aware of the mishaps that can occur on the road by using your cell phone. Not one person is a
better distracted driver than the next. There s no such thing as a good distracted driver because
I hear a lot of people saying that they could drive but if you re driving distracted you can t drive.
Everybody thinks that they are the perfect driver, but being a great driver consist of driving by
the rules for your safety and others. For this reason, standardized regulations laws should be in
all states where the use of cell phones and driving are concerned. Research shows that between
20 or 30 percent of automobile accidents happen in the United States while being distracted for
any reason such as, talking on the phone in a heated conversation, eating, adjusting the radio,
looking off, rubber necking, etc, indicates the increases the risk by four. Other studies, based on
driver simulation tests, conclude that people have difficulty multitasking. I really can say that
any distraction while driving is dangerous. Driving should have the primary focus, and that s
keeping your eyes on the road at all times because it could be just a second glance of look at

So how do you know which one is right for your business or industry with so many different
shapes, sizes and capacities? Bigger is not necessarily better; the right one for you depends upon
your needs. Let s explore some of the common uses of these vehicles to see which one could best
serve your company s needs!
Orchard The right vehicle for this very original usage of the bucket truck is probably pretty
simple, basically requiring that the boom be sufficiently long to reach the top height from which
the fruit will be harvested. One option to consider would be if you want the worker to be able to
operate from the bucket to move from one part of the tree to another since such control can be done
either from inside or outside of the bucket.
Electrical and communications industry Electrical services use bucket trucks to repair electric lines
as do workers in the fields of telephone and cable. Needs for these industries would include one or
two person buckets made of non conductive material; customized containers or compartments to
store necessary tools; booms sufficiently long to reach the tallest operating heights; and controls

This article contains information comprised from analyzing the research of fair trade coffee. This
including studying four main authors and two other articles for background information. The
articles examined the effects fair trade and organic coffee production methods effected local
farmers. The authors focused on meeting with the local farmers and the supervisors of
cooperatives. The areas that were studied consist of countries within Central America and Mexico.
The articles addressed some of the concerns the farmers had in fair tradeproduction methods vs.
conventional. The authors explain both the benefits and the drawbacks of fair trade certification.
In one of the articles the research of Krasnozhon, Simpson, and Block (2015) took on a different
approach; as their focus was not solely on coffeenor did they personally interview any farmers.
Instead their work reviewed some of the processes and regulations in free vs. fair trade. Ultimately,
the authors collectively emphasize the view of fair trade should not be as a function to repair all
the issues, but that it is more like the proper foundation to build on.
How Does Fair Trade Coffee Impact Local Farmers
Across the globe, we have become relatively dependent on coffee as a common beverage within our

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to analyze a recently conducted business research study in a
view to assess whether the researcher has followed all the basic and essential steps of the Business
Research Process or not. A Formal businessresearch report starts with a brief introduction to the
topic and clearly defines the Statement of the problem. In the subsequent sections, a comprehensive
literature review is presented to give some background knowledge and explain the topic in the light
of relevant past research studies (Sekaran Bougie, 2010). The researcher proceeds with defining his
population, sample size, and methodology for his research study. Afterwards, he develops
hypotheses and uses different analytical and statistical tools to draw results and present his final

Imagine, someone waking up this morning conducting the normal routine; shower, drink coffee,

conducts the exact same routine only this time when they turn on the television they see a cure
for cancer has been found, 30,000 homeless people have been given a shelter, and the war is

the process and necessary traits of one man who could make a difference in the world. This man
must become one with nature, find a balance in literature and past, undergo labor and hardship
and complete the appropriate duties as outlined in the essay. Sounds easy, right? Think again! The
theory of an American scholar could be very beneficial, the concept, however, it is based off a
very fine line that has been set by a single man. Ichabod Craneand Brom Bones from The Legend

In the 19th century, several different groups apart from Americans were harshly and forcefully

from the viewpoint of America, threatened the American way of life in different types of aspects
varying from, religion, skin color, political systems, language, and types of government. This
groups of people were civilized by the United States, and used what was attainable in their hands to

years the U.S would obtain vast amount of new lands, and Indians would continue to further be

territory. There they would first begin to integrate into society, which would later result in
mestizaje. Indians in the 19th century would undergo harsh measures from the U.S government
and its army since they were a form of threat to Americans. Indians would be known as, backwards,
barbaros, and barely human. The U.S would come to a realization that backwards would represent a

27. What Is The Nature Of The Short Happy Life Of Francis...
The coward, the bitch, and the man: Francis Macomber, Margot Macomber, and Robert Wilson are
developed as characters throughout Ernest Hemingway s The Short Happy Life Of Francis
Macomber. While only the tip of the iceberg is shown at the beginning, as Hemingway develops the
story, the reader is taken underwater to be shown the true nature and essence of the three characters.
On the surface, the Macomber s are a wealthy and traditional American couple. However, Francis
lack of courage and initiative has driven his wife, Margot, into the arms of the safari guide, Robert
Wilson. Francis lived a life of ignorance, and in many ways this was his strength as well as his
weakness.
Francis Macomber had, half an hour before, been carried to his tent from the edge of the camp in
triumph on the arms and shoulders of the cook, the personal boys, the skinner and the porters. The
gun bearers had taken no part in the demonstration.
While the people at the camp thought Francis succeeded in killing the lion, he never tells the
truth, Wilson actually killed the lion, furthering his introduction as the coward. His life was filled
with secrets and abuse, and he was ultimately put out of this misery. Francis ability to overcome
his obstacles is the very reason that although his life was short, he lived a blissful life for only a
split second, when he faced the water buffalo.
During Francis first interaction with a lion on the African safari, he bolts away at the first sign
of fear. This reaction, earned him the contempt of his wife, who made it quite obvious that she
disapproved of his actions. The next day, Macomber s wife witnesses him confront a charging
water buffalo. Much to his wife s dismay, Francis courageously faces the animal, proving that he
could overcome his cowardness. Margot realizes that if Francis continues to prove himself willful
and courageous, he might leave her and rid himself forever of her ridicule. This realization leads
her to aim a gun at the water buffalo, instead shooting Francis in the back of the head. By taking
his life, Margot ended Francis misery and her own. The beauty of Francis character is that even
though he spent his entire marriage disappointing his wife, he was only killed

Cross the Atlantic, Canadian researchers Trocme, Fallon, MacLaurin, Vandna, Black, Fast,
Felstiner, Helie, Turcotte, Weightman, Douglas, and Holroyd (2008) denoted that the most
common form of childhood trauma is from abuse. 34% of children were being neglected by
their caregivers and 20% were being physically abused by caregivers (Trocme et al, 2008). As
one can see, child trauma is a major issue that is a part of multiple cultures regardless of the
economic status of the country. Damage done from trauma on the neurological functioning of the
brain can be widespread, but can be found to interfere with functioning of the hippocampus and the
limbic system to a greater extent. Randall (2011) explained that when a large amount of stress is
continually placed on the brain from ongoing trauma, cortisol, a fight or flight response chemical,
can fail to stop firing when the stressor that ignited the cortisol is no longer present. This excess of
cortisol impairs the brains ability to function properly (Randall, 2011). Andersen, Tomada, Vincow,
Valente, Polcari, Teicher (2008) found that women who had experienced sexual abuseduring
childhood actually had a difference in the volume of their hippocampus (as cited in Pechtel and

smaller in the women who had been sexually abused in early childhood in comparison to

Of course a prospective sunk cost is different and, as we mentioned earlier, would certainly affect

How do we know which costs are fixed and which are variable?
Over a very short time horizon say, a few months most costs are fixed.
Over such a short period, a firm is usually obligated to pay for contracted shipments of materials.
Over a very long time horizon say, ten years nearly all costs are variable.
Workers and managers can be laid off (or employment can be reduced by attrition), and much of
the machinery can be sold off or not replaced as it becomes obsolete and is scrapped.

38. Economic Development And Development Of Welfare
When discussing the origins of welfare states it is easy to make an assumption that the
development of welfare states was in direct response to social needs brought by industrialization
and economic development. In fact the early scholarship in social policy did not question the
causational effect between economic development and development of welfare states.
Understanding that economic development alone cannot sufficiently explain why some
countries developed into full welfare states while others did not prevail until the emergence of
social democratic theory and its further expansions. Based on the later studies, the economic
development was a necessary cause and played the role of creating the need and the resources
for social provisions while politics was sufficient condition which determined whether social
needs would be addressed though creation of welfare state of other types of social provisions.
Looking back in history, while economic development did not invent poverty, it change its nature
by making it difficult for families to take care for the disabled, elderly, and unemployed. More
specifically, it led to a decrease in labor force participation in agriculture, rapid spread of self
regulating labor market, urbanization, destruction of traditional social protections, commodification
of labor, and the emergence of a new social category of the laboring poor dependent on the insecure
labor market. In addition to establishing the above described functional demand

have more and better employment opportunities. Not all college graduates have more and better
employment opportunities because there are too many workers and not enough jobs. What this
means is that when college graduates are ready to work, they will not have many employment
opportunities due to the limited amount of jobs. For example, there are too many students who

40. Essay on Analysing the Recent Economic Recession and Its...
The business cycle is the short run alternation between economic downturns and economic upturns
(Investopedia n.d.). A recession is an economic downturn and happens in every country and some
recessions are worse than others and the output of GDP and employment are falling farther and
faster. The great depression lasted from 1929 1933 and was a deep prolonged downturn in the
business cyclebefore a recovery/expansion of the business cycle occurred and GDP and
employment started to rise (Krugman Wells. 2012). The next recessionlasted from 1981 1982 and
was comparatively smaller than the first (Krugman Wells. 2012). More recently in 2001 a slump
in the economy was noted and was followed by the great rescission of 2007 2009 (Krugman ...

An examples of the circular cash flow model is demonstrated in figure 21 6.
Firms produce output and then pay income to households and households then use this income to
buy goods expenditure (Pettinger. n.d.).
Unemployment Rate Labor Force Participation Rate Labor force is the amount of people who
are employed and currently have a job and the people who are unemployed and currently do not
have a job (Krugman Wells. 2012). The labor force participation rate is calculated with people
sixteen years of age and older that are employed, while the unemployment rate is measured by
the percent of the total number of people sixteen years of age and older who do not have a job
(Krugman Wells. 2012). The United States assigns the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) with
the task of tracking the employment and unemployment rate of the labor force in the United
States (BOOK). The BLS breaks down the unemployment and labor rate much farther than just
how many are working and not working and breaks the cart down to race, age, gender, and level
of schooling from no high school diploma to bachelors degree and higher for the year along with
many other statistics and ways to track the populations work force (U.S. Bureau of Labor
Statistics. n.d.). The BLS breaks down the labor force also by including discouraged workers, who
are people that are not working but could work and have given

43. Analysis Of Overprotected Kid By Hanna Rosin
Play Project
In the article of the Overprotected Kid written by Hanna Rosin, gives some informational stuff to
think back on and all the way to present time. The article gives you something to think about
especially with playgrounds and world around us. One that amazed me was about how everything
seemed so creative back in the day. They would use stuff as play items that I never even imaged
would be fun. Such as stated in the article, doing mad flips on a stack of filthy mattresses, which
makes a fine trampoline. At the other end of the playground, a dozen or so of the younger kids dart
in and out of large structures made up of wooden pallets stacked on top of one another. Reading
this part, I was like wow for people that left stuff laying around got kids make a use out of it. I
think it s significant because children are having fun using materials and their imagination.
Another thing is kids got excited when things were donated as stated in the quote kids seem
excited by a walker that was donated by one of the elderly neighbors and is repurposed, at
different moments, as a scooter, a jail cell, and a gymnastics bar. The second one being fire lit in
the playground. It s been shown to have a lot of benefits of fun. In London after World War 2
stated that Children who might grow up to fight wars were not shielded from danger. In America
seeing a video of kids playing around fire brought major shock to parents because, of how
unnormal it is in our country. First

44. Taking a Look at Def Leppard
Have you ever turned on the radio in your vehicle and heard an out rageous rock song? Yeah that
s right it s Def. Leppard. They have been tour and doing shows for twenty five plus year and still
jamming as we speak. This band has been through just about everything you could think of and
surprisingly they are still together after drug over dose, care accident, and divorcees. First of all
Def. Leppard should get this award because they have very good musical and are a pretty sweet
bad. The other reasons I think they should get this award is because they have a lot of
achievements. The first achievement that I liked was they were on the Bill Board 200 with their
song Hysteria , sold 10,000 in the first week of it being out, and also with the song Hysteria spent
six weeks at number one and 133 weeks on the Bill Board 200. (Caulfield 57) There next
achievement was that there was a big accident and there main drummer lost his arm. So he was
back to playing the drums. That s when they made the big hit Hysteria in 1983 whit there album
Pyromania after the car accident. (Tamenbaum 16). There next big achievement was that Phil Collen
and Vivian Campbell had there amazing guitar abilities over looked. (Hammond 16 20). The
next achievement I believe is very good because Def. Leppard and Kiss are paring up to go on tour
to support our troops in the U.S.A. (Fekadu) The next award that they received was The 2008
Kerrag award also known as the Classic Song Writer

45. Plastic Persuasive Speech
Yes, you read that correctly. Currently, I am trying to cut plastic out of my life, and so is
Charleston. Why, you ask? There are so many reasons, but I ll start with this:
By the year 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Here s the scoop
Plastic never, ever, ever, ever, ever goes away. It will continue to break down, but it will never
fully decompose. What does this mean for our ocean? It means that more and more plastic is getting
into our waterways and ocean life is consuming the plastic, thinking it is food. Unfortunately, they
are being poisoned by our trash. They are also consuming it, and think about this, then we eat that
fish, which means we are consuming the plastic YUCK!
How is plastic getting into our oceans in such large quantities? Some of it is coming from boats, but
this is a very small quantity. Most of it is simply coming from littering. This means littering on the
beach, on our streets, etc. Think about how our litter gets blown into the sewer...then it eventually
makes it way into the ocean.
So, what can you do to cut out plastic? First, start looking around you. Becoming aware of how
much plastic you encounter on a daily basis is a huge eye opener. Plastic is everywhere. There is
the the plastic that helps you (medical equipment, your car, etc.). Then, there is one time use,
convenient plastics (straws, styrofoam containers, plastic bags/baggies, etc.).
Once you start becoming aware of what

46. Susan B. Anthony s Trial
Susan B. Anthony is not on trial; the United States is on trial (Anthony 179). On November 18,
1872, Susan Brownell Anthony, an avid women s suffragist, was arrested for illegally voting. For
more than twenty years, Anthony had dedicated her life, tirelessly giving speeches and
petitioning Congress in order to gain women across the nation the right to vote. Before voting,
Miss Anthony had ensured that she was a registered voter, as well as the other fourteen women
who accompanied her to the polls. As required by law, Anthony was asked several questions to
assure she met the qualifications to vote. However, several days after casting her vote, a police
officer arrived at her front door. After her arrest, the news of Anthony s trial
began making headlines
throughout the United States. Eventually, Miss Anthony was found to be guilty of illegally voting.
Nevertheless, through the close examination of several primary sources, bias and a distinct lack of
fairness are revealed in United States v. Susan B. Anthony. There are several sources composed
after Susan B. Anthony s hearing that allow a conclusion to be drawn that Miss Anthony did not
receive a fair trial. Some prime examples of this claim are numerous handwritten letters and diary
entries, a newspaper article, a court transcript, and a petition to Congress. The first source employed
throughout this essay is composed of numerous letters and diary entries written by Anthony herself
that discuss the unlawful events

so fast and the loops are so much fun. Every loop is something new but there s only four loops so
get on and you will have a blast. The four loops include Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and
Michelangelo. My ride reaches speeds up to 78 MPH! The start and end of my ride is where the
train cart uses friction. The friction is used when it is coming to a stop. What does friction do?

48. Feminism and Racism in African American Literature
Throughout literature, feminism and racism have played crucial roles in the lives of the characters
and plotlines in stories and novels. Audiences are captivated by the drama a character must face in
order to succeed in life or society. This struggle to overcome personal discrimination and adversity
has transcended centuries and genres of literature. African Americanliterature is no exception.
Authors of African American literature would base the events that were taking place in the world
around them and incorporate them into their novels. Often times this was the only voice African
Americans had in society.

They quickly begin a secret relationship, and before long she runs away with him to get married.
However, she will soon learn that life with Joe is no fairy tale either. Joe, or as Janie called him
Jody, had dreams of becoming a big voice in Eatonville, Florida. He soon becomes mayor,
postmaster, storekeeper, and even the biggest landlord in the town. He viewed Janie as a typical
trophy wife who was to be seen and never heard from. He hoped to transform her into what he

The store that Jody and Janie owned had become a hang out for several of the men in Eatonville.
It was a place for them to swap stories about their days and even their families. Jody, wanting to
be an example of how an important member of society was to act, never wanted to be outdone by
these men. He would not allow her to express her opinions or thoughts, and would not allow her to
stand up for herself or women when she overheard the degrading conversations that the men were
having. He made a constant effort to prove his control over Janie by

49. Compare And Contrast Avengers Vs Dc.
Over the years in the world of comics there has been a major rivalry between Marvel Studios and
DC. Both studios have put out amazing content and are the top in Superhero creation. However,
there s always the question of which one is better. There are two teams, Marvel s Avengers and
DC s Justice League. Each team has multiple members, and it s always been a debate on which
team would come out victorious. In a battle between the Avengers and the Justice League who
would win based on the heroes individual skills? In order to find out how a battle between the
two groups would happen we split the two teams into six different pairs. Each hero was pit
against someone who would have a similar skill set or power level as them. After the sets were
created, we then began to find out each character s individual skills. Assessing the strengths and
weaknesses of each hero against the other created a modest guess on who would win the battle.
This is based solely on the skills of each character and does not factor in battle areas or if the teams
were to fight against each other together.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

dancing, and yoga as a way to reach the ultimate state of joy. The people around me, the clothing
they wore, the smell of weed that filled the air, and the music that blared through the speakers were
all things I will never forget about that summer weekend. The life style of hundreds of individuals

Suddenly I could not take my eyes off what was in front of me. Hammocks were hung from trees
and even hung from car mirrors. There were hippies sleeping in, and on their cars. I saw people
cooking on small grills, selling food right from the trunk of their car. A simple sign that read,
Fish tacos. I was memorized by all the booths that lined the entrances of Legend Valley. People
sold paintings, jewelry, tie dyed bags, shirts, skirts, and head bands. I made my dad stop at one
booth because I saw a dress that I absolutely loved. It was priced at $30. When I paid for my
purchase the woman expressed how grateful she was that I was buying her clothing because that
is how she made a living. She told me the story of how she lives in her car, and travels to these
festivals. I felt sad for a brief moment until I realized this was her calling and she was truly happy.
It inspired me to appreciate the little things that surround me.
Also there were hundreds of tents on the opposite side of our camper, each one a bright color
with some article of tie dye draped over it. In front of the tents sat chairs, empty. I asked my dad,

51. Organics Vs Organic Food
The term organic has been highly overrated throughout recent years. Considered to be better for
the environment and for a person s health, organics are believed to be a better option when
purchasing food, when in reality they are just as good compared to regular food. Even so, organics
have more drawbacks rather than benefits. With organics high price, lack of nutritional value, and
environmental upset, it is no wonder why a majority of the population chooses to purchase regular
food over organics.
While organics may be healthier compared to regular food, the high price of organics is
impractical for members in the community. Money is a key factor for consumers when
purchasing food and most people do not want to give in to the high price tag when there are
other options for a better deal. A pound of beef for instance, costs $9.99 organically while a
regular pound of beef only costs $6.49, according to a 2015 consumer report. Based on the lower
price tag, people are more prone to buy the regular beef as they can gain a necessary source of
protein yet sustain the budget they desire. . When purchasing food, prices need to be considered
as the views of the buyers can be changed if a product is worth more than what they want to spend.
Compared to organic food, it is more reasonable for people to purchase regular food as the lower
price tag allows them to buy larger quantities and varieties. Additionally, organic foods disregard
different social classes within the community.

Log file s centralization to improve cloud security proposes a centralized, secure and
comprehensive architecture for log based analysis for cloud computing platform [3]. It suggests
the use of logs generated by cloud due to different activities performed, defining the policies of
which log file should be kept and which files must be transferred, and reporting of the attacks
and threats and attacks based on the analysis of these logs. Algorithms like map reduce are
applied which can report about the patterns which can lead to attacks based on comparison with
the stored values. Updating the policies based on the new findings during the analysis of the logs
files. The paper Event Correlation for Log Analysis in the Cloud proposes an approach for
correlating different log based events so that these logs can be segregated [4]. It uses
Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) like OpenStack and through various correlation condition like
Attribute Based Correlation, Conjunctive Correlation, and Disjunctive Correlation and through this
correlation criteria are set. Once policies for correlating events are defined, association rule
mining can be applied to the log data. Based on the mining, classification and clustering of the
events can be done which can later be used for detection of attacks and abnormalities in the system.
