Narrative Essay On Nice Over Mice
Nice over Lice It was a warm spring afternoon, birds chirping on the dark, ebony branches of the
cherry plum trees in the local park. Near the end of the park stood an antique looking hair saloon, but
appearances could be deceiving, for that old looking shop had all the new and latest technological
installed one could dream of, fresh out of the market. Famous for Midas touch of the beautician
working there for transforming the plain looking to mouth dropping beauties. It was the The Dyeing
Question saloon; usually it would be packed with customers, seeking special treatment for their hairs,
but today it was nearly empty. Expect for a woman sitting on a couch, not a single soul could be seen;
it seemed as if the people had vanished into thin air. But where did they go? It was all because of the
lone customer sitting. Her hair were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After, what seemed like ages for Mia, Julie was done. Turning the chair towards the mirror, Mia was
finally able to see her new form and she couldn t believe that the beautiful creature in front of her was
her.. Mia s hair, now, were literally glowing, her golden streaks shimmered under the sunlight of the
now setting sun outside, while her brown hair gave a warm earthy feeling. Julie smiled behind
her, feeling satisfied with the work. After gawking at her new form, Mia hand went into her hair to
check for those pests: there were none, none in her hair! Overwhelmed with joy, Mia hugged Julie and
went to pay for her treatment as well as for the products used on her, as they were no longer usable.
Waving bye to the Julie, Mia left the saloon; Looking at the almost sunset, Mia thought smiling I
guess that some people are not bad afterall , fading into the, now set sun awaiting the a bright morning

What Is The Relationship Between Simba And The Prodigal Son
Analysis
There are several biblical concepts found in the Lion King however, this essay will be focusing on the
correlation in the Lion King and the prodigal son. Simba, the main character in the lion king can be
compared to the wayward son in the parable of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15:11 32.
In the opening scene, we encounter Simba as a baby cub when he is presented to all the animals in
Pride Land. Simba literally grows up in front of us, three different actors represent Simba namely,
young Simba, teenage Simba and adult Simba. As Simba grows up, he is trained by his dad. It is not
said that the prodigal son is trained by his father but it was implied that the father trained both sons
because the prodigal son saw the error of his ways and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the case of Simba, this was after he had fought and defeated his uncle and had an heir (he had taken
responsibility) and in the case of the prodigal son, there was celebration on his return to his father this
implies that with God, salvation is by Grace and not by works (Ephesians 2:8 10), in contemporary
society a lot is said about the importance of taking responsibility. This is also important in the bible
but Christians believe that responsibility is part of the transformation and formation process which
comes after conversion in the New Testament.
In the two stories, both fathers would agree that their sons were lost and are now found, they were
dead but are now alive. Both sons were home where they belonged. This happened only after they
discovered who they really were; both had to come to themselves and grow up to maturity but not
without struggles the conversion process of

Refugee Process Supports Reintegration Chances For...
Refugee resettlement process supports reintegration chances for refugees and asylum seeker and it
gives an approach to a sustainable peace building through their empowerment. There some benefits
but despite those things resettlement practices has some challenges as well for refugees and host both
countries.
Resettlement policy and practices can be analyzed by different context and perspective. In the United
States, resettlement policy has become a humanitarian issue which related to human rights and social
justice. USCIS has been playing an important role in identifying the refugees documents and
supporting them to make legal person in USA.
Capps, R., Newland, K. (2015) have discussed that refugee resettlement policy in a different host
country like USA from different perspectives for example how to address the primarily pre and post
migration issue is different. In this seminal work the author has discussed the increasing diversity of
large USA, refugee populations may be making it more challenging for both resettlement agencies and
local communities to meet refugee s needs. Furthermore, it also discussed that the origins of refugees
are increasingly diverse. This source can be very helpful to conceptualize our basic framework.

environmental point of view, this source is very good to read. It specifically discusses UNHCR and

Work with the following assumptions: i. EBITDA forecasts: use values given from Exhibit 8.
However, I expect you to briefly comment on the reasonableness of those forecasts (especially given
past performance and efficiency of the company s operations), and possibly provide a simple analysis
of the sensitivity of your EBITDA growth assumptions to the value of OLC. ii. Depreciation and
capital expenditures: OLC assets are primarily intangible, and the proportion of fixed to total assets is
very small (see Exhibit 3). Therefore, for the sake of simplicity, assume that both capital expenditures
and depreciation is zero (note that even the casewriter assumes zero depreciation, since taxes are paid
on EBITDA in Exhibit 8. Therefore, in this case, EBITDA=EBIT!) iii. Tax rate: 44% (Exhibit 2,
Exhibit 8) iv. Assume a five year forecast period (1998 2002) and the terminal growth of 4%. Note,
however, that the market for supplemental education will likely be very competitive in the long run. v.
WACC estimation: use data from Exhibit 9. Since OLC is a private company, you ll have to use a pure
play approach using data from Exhibit 4 to estimate OLC s beta (you are more than welcome to adjust
the OLC beta up/down considering special OLC s risks/advantages). Assume that OLC will have no
debt in its capital

Clear And Concise Outline Of Tarantino s Pulp Fiction
In order to establish a clear and concise outline of Tarantino s work in relation to the consideration of
film being represented as high art, we need to begin with one of his earlier and more distinguished
works, Pulp Fiction. Pulp Fiction is not for the faint of heart and its allure boils down to a matter of
personal preference and judgement, but its magnitude as a film is a matter of history. One of the main
reasons Pulp Fiction has found so much success and praise in the art community is that Tarantino
ushered in a new era of post modernism in the film industry. Basically, what aesthetic Postmodernism
states is that what already has been done, has been done before and there is nothing new .
Postmodernism can also be distinguished by the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As we previously stated, Tarantino s dialogue is not simply quirky and original. There is a systematic
process behind his choice of dialogue and sequence of events. This is fully exemplified in an exchange
between Jules and one of the kids in the apartment. And the story of how Wallace had a man thrown
out of a four story window for giving his wife a foot massage. Tarantino is laying the groundwork
with his dialogue for a scene in which Vincent agrees to take Mia Wallace (wife of Marsellus Wallace)
out on a date, on his bosses orders. When Mia accidentally overdoses, Vincent rushes her to his drug
dealer, Lance, who resuscitates her with a shot of adrenaline injected directly into her heart. We then
meet Lance s girlfriend, Jody, who begins to talk about her piercing fetish. This scene is where you get
to witness the subtle instances of dialogue that Tarantino has put into place for a specific pay off in the
scenes to come. Tarantino never actually shows the needle entering the chest, but instead he pans away
to a shot in which everyone glaring over the body jumps back simultaneously as Mia is brought back
to life. And then Jody explains that it was trippy and we contextualize that she has seen the ultimate

Physical media
Physical media is found on the physical layer of the OSI model. Therefore physical media includes
cabling and equipment, wiring and the frequencies defined to transfer data between two points.
Physical media is what physically connects the computers connected on the internet. For this network
two physical media will be used to allow access to the application layers of the system. The coaxial
cables will be used to create a WAN. While a wireless protocol will be used in allowing users to roam
within the network. A LAN will be represented as follows;
Coaxial cable are classified according to it impedance. The one used in this exercise will use the
impedance of 70 ohms with RG 58. This can be used for the discussed high speed internet
requirements discussed above.
The diagram above shows the high level LAN network design that could be implemented. Inter office
connections could be done using Sate 590553175llite Communication or using a single point ISP
provider to do the networking.
Twisted pair will also be used to plug computers to the main internet socket to aid the roaming of the
wireless users.
Physical media selection: summary
Physical media selection is very daunting task given that there as many products ready in the market

The Qualities of Brutus in Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar ...
In Shakespeare s play Julius Caesar , Brutus is a main character and conspirator of the assassination
plot of Caesar. Unfortunately for Rome, Brutus does not wish to become the next ruler. If Brutus had
chosen to do so, he undoubtedly would have been one of Rome s greatest rulers, due to his many
virtuous qualities. One of those qualities is that Brutus is an honorable man. He does not have a single
iota of corruption But for supporting robbers, shall we now contaminate our fingers with base bribes,
and sell the mighty space of our large honors for so much trash as may be grasped thus? I had rather
be a dog and bay at the moon than such a Roman! (612) After Caesar is slain, Marc Antony sends his
servant to talk to Brutus because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is no terror, Cassius, in your threats, for I am armed so strong in honesty, they pass me as the
idle wind which I respect not. (614) Many rulers allow their decisions to be based on emotion or
personal gain; however, Brutus is a more forbearing person. A perfect example is how Brutus
overcame the sadness and grief of killing his best friend for the good of Rome. Therefore, Brutus is a
stoic. Finally Brutus will put the needs of his fellow Romans in front of those of his own. Brutus is
originally brought into the assassination plot, because he truly believes in his heart that this is
something he must do for the good of Rome. If then that a friend demand why Brutus rose against
Caesar, this is my answer not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more. (595) After he kills
Caesar, he does not run and hide, but proclaims peace, and liberty throughout the Roman streets while
taking full responsibility for this deed. As I slew my best lover for the good of Rome, I have the same
dagger for myself when it shall please my country to need my death. (595) Brutus would have
absolutely been a great ruler due to this dedication and loyalty to his country. He would, at the very
least, have given his life to Rome when he felt they needed it. Brutus is an honorable man loved by
many in Rome. He joined the conspiracy

The Glass Menagerie And Winnie Holzman And Stephen...
Theater has been a platform that has been used to deepen our communication and understanding of the
complexities of the world around us. It teaches us through language, movement, and the establishment
of intimate relationships that play to the contagious nature of emotions.
The majority of the 20th century saw a utilization of plays as a tool to stimulate social change,
provoke viewers to assess the foundation of what they believe, and an attempt to depict humanity as it
truly was. In comparison, though not totally in abandonment, the later 20th century and early 21th
century brought to life a more flashy, commercialized interpretation of this tool, and played to the
societal theme of entertainment, as seen in the increase of musical theater (Janaro). A true example of
this stark contrast is Tennessee Williams tragedy The Glass Menagerie and Winnie Holzman and
Stephen Schwartz s mega musical Wicked. Although from fundamentally different eras and using the
employment of distinctive structures that correlate with the different branches of theater, at the core,
these stories speak to the same idea of freedom as discussed in the Janaro text.
Through assessing the actual elements of these theatrical pieces, there are a lot of similar motifs
advanced by both works. In both cases, there is an overarching theme of the characters being divergent
from cultural expectations, the ideal of fatherhood is outlined as symbol of contempt and
abandonment, there is prevalence of both

Sonnet 73 Metaphors
In William Shakespeare s Sonnet 73, the speaker claims that through recognizing life s brevity, love
can be made stronger, and more permanent, by learning to appreciate the limited time each person has
left. Shakespeare establishes this argument by developing three metaphors comparing a succinct
amount of time to life. The first metaphor compares the seasons of a year to stages of life. The second
quatrain contains the next metaphor comparing the sun s journey across the sky to the speaker s
lifetime. And the final metaphor, found in the third quatrain, compares the glow of a fire to a lifetime.
Shakespeare s choice of applying shorter periods of time being compared to the speaker s lifetime
emphasizes the brevity of a person s life.

The tone strengthens the metaphor in this quatrain through adding emphasis that the speaker is still
reminiscing about what he has lost and has yet to look towards what the future holds.
The speaker starts the second quatrain, again, telling the listener to witness in him the approach of old
age. The extended metaphor in the second quatrain compares the sun s journey across the sky to the
speaker s lifetime. The speaker tells the listener that they can see the twilight of such day, as after
sunset fadeth in the west , or the aging of the speaker after the brightness and energy of his youth have
started to fade just like the sun does as it approaches the end of its journey. The speaker continues with
which by and by black night doth take away , black night signifying old age taking away what little
remains of the speaker s youthfulness, and the eventual passing away of the speaker. A shift in tone
occurs here from somber to one of forlorn as the speaker recognises that he will eventually die. The
speaker finishes the metaphor by explicitly saying the dark of night represents Death s second self,
that seals all up in rest. Night in the metaphor seals up all in eternal rest through death. The rhyme
between day and away draws attention to the number of days the speaker has left are diminishing. The
image of the diminishing number of days builds on the depressed tone already expressed in the
quatrain by emphasizing the certainty of

Circuit confirmed the district court s class certification (plaintiff) in 2007. However, Wal Mart was not
satisfied with court`s decision and sued for a rehearing, claiming that the judges committed a legal
mistake in classifying the action certification. The Ninth Circuit panel recalled its primary decision
and issued a following, replacing opinion, which still allowed the class certification. In 2009, the
Ninth Circuit provided Wal Mart a rehearing for the previous court`s decision. As a result, Ninth

saying that the million plaintiffs did not have enough in common to base a class (a group of several

plaintiffs circumstances, the class action could not proceed as comprised. Critics of the opinion allege
that the decision makes it incredibly difficult to certify a class without a prohibitive amount of work

Why The British Petroleum Was Responsible For The Accident
No doubt that the Deepwater Horizon oil spill was one of the worst and the largest oil in the history of
the world. In the following essay we will discuss about the various aspects related to the accident and
find out whether if the British Petroleum was responsible for the accident.
BP or British Petroleum is the largest corporation in the United Kingdom and is an international
company that operates in oil, gas and chemical industry. The company is headquartered at London. It
owns various refineries as well as chemical plants across the globe. The company produces around
32000,000 barrels of oil daily and operates more than 25K oil service stations across the world with
total employee strength up to 85,000. (bp.com, 2015)
In Gulf of Mexico, BP had been operating the offshore drilling rig called Deepwater Horizon which it
had leased from the Transocean. During the mid of April 2010, there was explode on it as a result of
which it had collapsed. This had caused the rupture in the riser of the deep oil well where it has been
operating. It was followed by the largest ever oil spill in which around five million barrels of oils was
released in the marine environment of gulf of around seventy thousand sq. miles. The accident had
also claimed eleven on board causalities and seventeen critical injuries. More than 2 million gallons of
chemical was used to clear up the spill. This spill had resulted in heavy losses for the company both
financially and in terms of respect. The

s Fundamental Attribution Theory And Cognitive Dissonance
Suddenly, an insect is caught in a spider s web, unaware of the spider the insect has a special defiance
weapon. The spider making a fatal mistake, miss judged the insect s character, and in return had
nothing to show for its hard work. This is similar to what one does when they miss interoperating
another s feelings and personality causing pain and no gain for the observer. New stereotypes, boxes ,
assumptions, etc. all have encroached on a person s worldview. One comes to see others in a whole
new way by theories like the Attribution theory and its Fundamental Attribution error, along with
Cognitive Dissonance theory all of which involve one s actions and attitudes.
One of the theories is the Attribution theory. Attribution theory is when individuals discover the causes
of behavior as part of the one in observation. This theory suggests that people are motivated to
discover the deep meaning of their behavior as that person makes sense of other s behavior. The
Attribution theory has three dimensions that help describe what a person discovering the meaning of
those behaviors and attributing them to different causes. Those three causes are internal or external,
stable or unstable, and or controllable or uncontrollable causes. Consequently, these causes have many
situations that go along with them. Briefly, internal and external causes ask whether or not that
behavior was specific to a character trait or was that action outside of his or her character and just a

They feel like doctors must perform Medical Assisted on any eligible patient, regardless of what that
doctor s beliefs about the matter are. To those who have good common sense, this belief seems almost
entirely irrationally. Yet as this state of mind commonly arises in the populace, I will briefly respond
to it. Let us begin by discussing this topic in legal terms, by once again going back to the American
Declaration of Independence. As in the previous case, law and government are entirely matters of
interpretation and so the liberty and life previously mentioned mean that a doctor or a member of a
medical staff is at liberty to refuse to take the life of another person for reasons which are not relating
to discrimination. In fact, A majority of doctors approve of the practice of physician assisted suicide,
but most say they would not perform it themselves according to a University of Michigan study
published in the New England Journal of Medicine. (Assisted) The most probable reason for this, is
that these doctors believe that Medical Assisted Suicide interferes with the practices of their own
religious beliefs. This is quite frequent, as according to deathwithdignity.org, more than twenty
widespread religions, or sects of religions, are commonly opposed to Medical Assisted Suicide.
Among these are Anglicans, Baptists, Buddhists, Roman

Correctional Officers are a very important part of the Justice System because it keeps high profile

and there are three additional floors that overlook the central living space that you reach by inside
stairs. Each level contains approximately 10 individual cells. Some information was not available to
us (the public) as it is confidential. Information such as how many Officers work in a pod per shift.
The inmates are served their meals in the central living space and it the Correctional Officers job to
count everything they take. Items such as jam containers, plastic knives and forks are made into
weapons by the ingenious inmates. After they are given their meals and have had time to go to the

cases the children may be eligible for health insurance but do not have insurance. This paper will
analyze the disparities surrounding children s healthcare, the socioeconomic aspects of it, and other
factors that cause a lack of access to healthcare.

everyone has access to it. Different people of varying ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
CHIP emerged from a budget negotiation between a Democratic president and Republican Congress.
As such, the program represents a fine balance, designed to maintain equilibrium between states and
the federal government, as well as between political conservatives and liberals. It contains elements of
both an entitlement program and a block grant. States have the option of providing child health
assistance in SCHIP through Medicaid, a separate program, or a combination of the two. There is also
flexibility in benefit design, though benefits must meet certain set standards. As in Medicaid, state
payments for child health assistance under SCHIP qualify for federal matching payments. On average,
the federal government pays 70 percent and state governments pay 30 percent of program costs.
Unlike Medicaid, however, these enhanced federal matching payments are limited by national and
state specific allotments, or annual limits on federal funding. SCHIP has a system to redistribute
federal allotments from states that did not spend the full amount to others that may need higher
amounts. States may use up to 10 percent of their annual allotments on outreach, administration, and
other activities.
A federally funded evaluation found SCHIP to be successful in nearly all of the areas examined. Since
inception in 1997, enrollment has increased steadily to 6.1 million children in FY 2005. This was

Jean Piaget s Stages Of Cognitive Development
Piaget s Stages of Cognitive Development
The Stages Through his research, Jean Piaget was able to determine that there are four stages of
cognitive development in humans. The stages include the sensorimotor stage, the pre operational
stage, the concreate operational stage, and the formal operational stage. He determined that all people
go through the stages, but they all go through the stages at their own pace. Some people may never
reach the final stages. The sensorimotor stage begins at birth and ends around two years old, when the
child has acquired language. At the beginning of this stage, children do not see a difference between
themselves and things around them. Children in this stage repeat activities repeatedly to see what will
happen and see a cause and effect. This behavior may be seen when a child repeatedly knocks their
sippy cup off their highchair. They will do this after they realize that it makes the cup disappear and
then the parent gives the child attention and makes the cup reappear.
The main milestone in the sensorimotor stage is object permanence. That means that the child knows
that something is still there even if they cannot see it. Children in this stage are also capable of
creating mental representations of objects, or schema. The preoperational stage begins at around two
years old and ends around seven years old. During this stage, children can think symbolically. They
have the ability to see relationships between words, numbers, signs, and

Families in 1700 s to Mid 1800 s
Origins of a family have meaning and history. By keeping track of family relations also known as a
family tree it can allow us to keep records of the past. The Edwards family tree shows great record
from the early 1700 s to the mid 1800 s. This family tree demonstrates when a person was baptized;
when they got married; and when they passed away. The Edwards family chart show the different
relations of marriages and fertility rate from today s society. From the chart we can determine that the
Edwards family show a different demography compared to todays society. This is because life
expectancy was shorter; families were larger; and finally marriages were happening at a young age.
According to the Edwards family tree life expectancy was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Looking at the chart it is hard to tell when some of the women were born because it was not recorded.
However looking at the Edwards family tree many of the women got married in their 20 s. Some of
these women were pregnant while getting married. On the another hand the men got married in their
mid to late twenties which is a lot older compare to the women. For example Thomas Edward son of
Thomas and Sarah Potman got married to Sarah White at the age of thirty four. As we can see there is
a big age difference between the male and females. From the Edwards family tree most of the women
had children right away. Some were even pregnant at marriage, for example Richard Edward who
married Mary Deets in 1730 and at the same year had their first child Sarah Ewards. This shows some
couples were involved with each other before marriage, however on the family tree some couples
waited a year or two to have children. For example John Edward who married Elizabeth Ward in 1739
their first kid John Edwards was born 1742, that is three years after they got married. From the family
tree it seemed uncommon for a married couple to wait a year or two years later to have children;
which is really different compare to today because many marry couples wait at least three years to
have children. Since Many families did have plenty of children and gave birth right after marriage it
seemed that child birth was not planned. Looking at the chart many married couples had

Economic Integration
An economic integration, established on global, continental or regional level, is not a newborn
phenomenon. Ever since the voyages of Marco Polo in 1260, (Latham, 1958) the collaboration and
integration of world economies through trade, movements of factors of production and transmission of
economically effective knowledge and technology has been continuously increasing. (Masson, 2000)
The overall process of globalisation and economic integration has been in most cases globally
beneficial, but alongside winners it had also created losers, and the progression of economic
integration has neither always advanced smoothly nor has it been advantageous to all whom it had
affected. The ideas and their implementation leading towards greater ... Show more content on

(Dearden McDonald, 2005) Suranovic emphasizes the importance of effectiveness of communication
between all integrated countries and also focuses his attention on the coordination of their trade, fiscal
and monetary policies. (Suranovic, 1998)
Tinbergen in his International Economic Integration recognized two integrational dimensions and
identified them as negative and positive. Negative integration, generally less complicated to reach than
the positive, eradicates the measures used by states to obstruct the free flow of economic resources
between integrated countries, while the positive integration involves alteration of already existing
economic and political instruments and permits international markets to operate more effectively.
(Tinbergen, 1965) Example of implementation of the negative dimension could be found in the early
stages of the European Union, which, by employing the positive approach, reached the higher levels
of the economic integration. (Banchoff Smith, 1999) It is very seldom that countries involved in the
process of integration actually follow a certain pattern, (Holden, 2003) however, there are several
formally recognisable phases of

A Subarachnoid Hemorrhages
A Subarachnoid Hemorrhage, or SAH, is devastating and usually has a traumatic outcome. Basically,
an SAH is bleeding that occurs between the brain and what surrounds it. This surrounding area is
known as the arachnoid, thus the reasoning behind the name. The main cause of SAH is cerebral, or
brain aneurysms, because aneurysms usually have more fragile walls than normal vessels, putting
them at more of a risk to rupture. Subarachnoid hemorrhages are not something to be taken lightly, as
they have many dangers. Many people lack awareness of the dangers accompanied with subarachnoid
hemorrhages as soon as they occur, during the treatment of them, and even with life after surviving the
hemorrhage. First, as soon as a subarachnoid hemorrhage occurs, there are many dangers to consider.
While a brain aneurysm may not have any symptoms, an SAH does and they are unfortunately very
sudden. Since an SAH is bleeding from the arteries, the rupture causes abrupt bleeding. From The
Gale Encyclopedia of Medicine, Ms. Julia Barrett describes that the immediate danger caused by
subarachnoid hemorrhages would be ischemia. She states, Ischemia refers to tissue damage caused by
restricted or blocked blood flow. The areas of the brain that do not receive adequate blood and oxygen
can suffer irreparable injury, leading to permanent brain damage or death, thus agreeing that danger is
present from the very start with subarachnoid hemorrhages (Barrett). The rapid bleeding outside of the

How Did Jfk Influence The Government
Kennedy was known as a cautious and sensible politician and was adored by many for generations.
Kennedy inspired many and made many promises during his campaign for president. Kennedy wanted
to help the poverty and made it a promise to put it on the national agenda. Kennedy gained support for
a urban renewal program that moved businesses to depressed areas and created training programs for
the unemployed. In the summer of 1963, Kennedy reached a turning point in his domestic agenda,
planning a full scale attack on poverty and calling for comprehensive civil rights bill. He promised to
make economic growth a key objective by reducing taxes. He believed this would increase demand,
boost production, and decrease unemployment. Congress passed Kennedy s tax cut bill in 1964, but

Fred Stern Company, Inc. was a rubber importer based out of New York City during the 1920s. This

Distinction being the fact that blindly giving assent is as bad as committing fraud. To reiterate, the
difference between negligence (which they sued for) itself and gross negligence is in fact a
relationship that exist between the parties in dealing.
This case established that an auditor could be sued by a primary beneficiary for damages from
negligence. A primary beneficiary is a party that has a direct benefit from the audit. Non privity parties
could also sue for gross negligence. This increased the auditor s legal exposure to third parties. The
SEC of 1934 reflected these changes and many others; one significant change was that auditor s had a
much higher litigation risk due to their new responsibility to third parties.
The audit report in the 1920 s was very basic. The audit report was titled the Certificate of Auditors
and said that the auditors had examined only the balance sheet accounts and these accounts were in
line with the explanations and information given to the auditors. It then said that the statement
presented a true and correct view of the financial condition of the company. This is very different from
the audit report used today. Today, the audit report is much more detailed to help auditors avoid

Five Variants Of Christianity
The traditional beliefs that are traditionally associated with Christianity are the founded from their
sacred text, the bible. Which is believed to be divinely inspired and authoritative. This is going to
focus on the major five variants of Christianity. The five major variants are: Orthodox, Roman
Catholic, Anglican, Protestant and last but not the least by far, Pentecostal.
The principle beliefs can be broken down into 5 points which are: The Divinity and Humanity of Jesus
Christ, the Death and Resurrection of Christ, Nature of God and the Trinity, Revelation and Salvation.
The Divinity and Humanity of Jesus Christ refers to the statement that Jesus was fully human and
fully God. This statement can vary largely for the major variants. Orthodox ... Show more content on

However, some of the more liberal churches take a different approach and discard different pieces of
the Bible which they do not think are inspired by God, they think that the Bible is flawed with human
imperfection.
Salvation is believed by all the major variants of Christianity. Pentecostals believe in an afterlife and
that you can only enter through belief in Jesus. They believe that there is heaven and hell and people
will be divided up in the end times.
Protestants and Catholics have a similar belief about salvation. They both believe that they are saved
by God s grace alone. However, the difference between Protestants and Catholics is how they respond
to God s grace.
The protestant belief is that they are saved by faith alone. Some Protestants even say that there is
nothing one can do to earn a spot in heaven. All you have to do is accept Jesus Christ into your soul as
your personal lord and saviour and you are saved. Works are not mentioned in this, some
denominations say, once saved always

The highest mortality rate in trauma patients with massive haemorrhage initially develops with
hypothermia, coagulopathy and acidosis. Coagulopathy, which can be defined as the disorder whereby
the body experiences the inability of the blood to coagulate, together with hypothermia and acidosis,

fact, it is important to ascertain the role of temperature on maintaining homeostasis. With this in mind,

This organ system has a number of functions namely, to keep a constant body temperature as well as
to ensure coagulation occurs specifically at the site of injury, as well as to ensure no added blood loss
occurs to cause life threatening effects. This process of blood coagulation is explained in three
interconnected phases. In the first phase, the enzyme thrombokinase is activated due to the damage of
tissue and the breaking down of platelets. Prothrombin is converted into thrombin by the
disintegration of the thrombocytes, electrically charged calcium ions and other coagulation factors, as
well as the blood activator and tissue activator which become involved in the coagulation process. The
second phase includes production of the thrombin that transforms fibrinogen in the blood plasma into
fibrin. The thrombus (or blood clotting) is formed by a fibrilliform mesh that encloses the blood cells.
Lastly, the third phase, which takes place as retraction occurs of the fibres of the fibrin mesh.
Solidification of the fibrous mesh takes place which closes the defect in the vascular wall. Coagulation
is then followed by fibrinolysis (re dissolution of the clot).
Hypothermia, an important factor of coagulation as mentioned earlier, is described by Danzl et al
(2009) as a potentially fatal condition when the body loses more heat than it can regenerate. The core
temperature being below 35̊ C. According to Anthony et al

Symphony Orchestra Reflection
Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Texas State Symphony Orchestra Recital at Evans
Auditorium. The performance was made up of two pieces: Overture to Nabucco composed by
Giuseppe Verdi and Symphony No. 5 E minor op. 64 composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky with its 4
movements. The theme of the overall performance was Fifth and Fate , depicting the ideas of life and
destiny. Despite its flaws, the concert very well exemplified this theme and overall put on a delightful
and memorable performance. Now, while the performance in its entirety was something spectacular,
like every piece of art, it had its flaws. One thing I noticed throughout the recital was the lack of
balance. At some points, the string section overpowered the horns almost entirely to where it was
nearly impossible to hear them. Granted, the string section was almost three times the size of the
brass, but that is no excuse. A good director would notice this imbalance and make an attempt to
conduct the sections to fix this unequal sound. Simply stating, the strings needed to be quieter and the
horns could ve made an attempt to be louder. A more obvious fault to the untrained ear was the timing
of the orchestra. On occasion, after rests, when an entire section was cued to come in, they did not
come in in unison. There would be a lone bassoon or viola that would come sometimes as soon as a
beat before the rest of the ensemble. This hindered the sense of unity and harmony the orchestra

fats and carbohydrates do not. Therefore, only amino acids are capable of forming tissues, organs,

Only 20 mL of amino acid was used for both titrations. Around 5mL of HCl was used in the acid
titration of the unknown but only 1.55 mL of base was used for the Basic titration. The table of acidic
and basic titrations is attached where it shows that the amino acid therefore was acidic since it took a
lot more acid than the base for titration. Molar equivalence was calculated using the concentration and
volumes of amino acid and titrants. A graph was plotted which showed two pH value, one at 1.5 and
the other at 0.5. The pH at 1.5 was 2.53 and at 0.5 was 10.15. The pI was then calculated to be 6.34.
The unknown amino acid, AA 01 04, was concluded to be Aspartate or Aspartic acid by examining the

The Life of Emperor Nero Essay
Emperor Nero, infamously known as one of the most malevolent, oppressive, and tyrannical leader
throughout history, was the last ruler of the Julio Claudian Dynasty. He was born outside Rome in
Antium and his mother married his great uncle, Emperor Claudius, in order for her son to be the next
Emperor of Rome. It wasn t apparent that her son was to become one of the most feared and cruel
leaders in Roman history from 54 CE to 68 CE. By examining his achievements and failures as an
emperor, his influences and changes over the entire economic, political and social spectrum are
revealed.
At this stage in the Roman Empire things were extremely dangerous and many power struggles within
the royal family were arising. With the demise of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He had all the attributes of an ideal leader, and the Roman Empire experienced an epoch of strength,
efficient administration and economic stability. His policies were beneficial for the working class and
poor and when the senate tried to pass a law regarding patrons having the right to repeal freedom of a
freedman, he quickly denied the request. Other economic reforms included the tax cuts of
approximately three percent, because there were complaints of over taxation of the poor. The more
oppressive sources of revenue he either abolished or moderated (Suetonius, 263) He also reduced the
price of food by dropping tariffs on imported products such as grain. This allowed economics to
flourish throughout the Roman Empire and he created a much more fair system that actually was used
to aid the populace. It gave the people security and Rome thrived with it new institutional structures,
stability, and its governmental reforms that efficiently worked. The positive influence Nero had on
Rome gave him popular support from the masses.
As Emperor Nero continued to rule new speculation formed that his mother was planning to
overthrow him with his brother Britannicus who was the actual son of Emperor Claudius. This is
because as his mother

Character Analysis of Aaron the Moor in Shakespeare´s...
Titus Andronicus by William Shakespeare, is a play full of murders, miseries and heinous deeds,
whose chief architect (Shakespeare 5.3.121) for the most part, if not all, was Aaron the Moor. The
audience of the play would be so quick to rule Aaron as a purely evil character, the most evil of all the
other characters. However, a deeper analysis of Aaron shows that despite his villainy, he still has a
human side which he shows towards his son, and that his dark skin has made him a victim of racism,
which might have influenced his character, and developed his evil nature that he enjoys. Aaron s status
is more complicated than just purely evil, and on the whole, he can be a sympathetic character.
In the play Titus Andronicus , the theme of parents and children is clearly visible, and the audience get
to see a humanitarian side of the presumably purely evil Aaron, that he shows towards his son. Unlike
the hero of the play, Titus, who does not hesitate to slay his son in a wrongful quarrel (Shakespeare
1.1.294) and disown him: Nor thou, nor he, are any sons of mine; my son s would never so dishonour
me (Shakespeare 1.1.295 296), Aaron refuses that his son be killed, and makes it clear that he shall not
die (Shakespeare 4.2.81) and that he who touches his son will die upon his scimitar s sharp point
(Shakespeare 4.2.91 92).Some might argue that Aaron s actions towards his son are simply egotistical
,and that he sees the boy as a means of perpetuating his own evil

(OTC) cold medicine industry. It offers students interesting and different formats in which to learn
about marketing. The purpose of this exercise, for Team D, is to learn about marketing management
and decision making in a dynamic and highly competitive (saturated) business environment in which
students are tasked with making critical marketing decisions over a 7 year period; the PharmaSim

experience in working with all of the concepts and tools that have been introduced in the course, 2)
reinforced understanding of importance of need to shape marketing decisions so that they are both
internally and externally consistent, and 3) real world demonstration, in a way the lectures cannot
replicate, of the complexities involved with marketing management. As will be discussed below, we
experienced highs and lows as new marketing management decision makers. We maneuvered and

Use of Time in Waiting for Godot and Mrs. Dalloway Essay
American writer, historian, and philosopher, Will Durant once said So the story of man runs in a
dreary circle, because he is not yet master of the earth that holds him. The earth or concept, rather, that
holds man in a dreary cycle in this case is Time because it is an important concept. Time in literature is
important to understand because it seems to play such a vital role of texts and helps the reader
understand them better. Not only that, time can also be seen as an underlying theme that is significant
because it questions and influences the structure of the story including the characters actions,
dialogues, or story s plot, setting, etc. Samuel Beckett s Waiting for Godot and Virginia Woolf s Mrs.
Dalloway use time to show ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Mrs. Dalloway written by Virginia Woolf is about the fictional life of a character by the name of
Clarrisa Dalloway, who is seen to be this high class woman living in an era after the war, who is
preparing for a party that she is to be hosting later on. Virginia Woolf seemed to use time as a main
part of the setting of her story too by setting it in the morning and ending the next day at three in the
morning. Using time like this is significant because then now the reader must really pay attention
since every detail seems important. For example when characters reflect on past incidents that
happened in their lives and then the story suddenly turns back into the present and in reality of the
story a few minutes have only gone by. An example of that is when Clarrisa reflects her youth, What a
lark! What a plunge! For so it had always seemed to her, when, with a little squeak of the hinges,

In today s rapidly growing world technology is advancing in multiple folds, so to manage it in an
efficient way is a need of an hour. In a constrained workplace management of the technology is
inevitable. Since my academics, I have been driven by the wonders of science and technology around
us and going forward I want to foster the skills to manage the technology oriented organizations. After
completing my undergraduate in Industrial engineering I worked in managerial role in marketing
department of technical products, so I realized the significance of both technology and management in
globalized world. In order to hone my skills I recognized that engineering management is an apt
course to equip me with required skillset. Engineering Management is a specialized form which is

A Report On Woolworths Company
My chosen business that my report will be based on is the Woolworths company, known primarily in
Australia for their supermarket s and retail chains. Woolworths run several high profile Australian
stores such as BWS, Dan Murphys, Big W and the highly publicized Masters. The reason for my
choice of Woolworths was that as they are one of the biggest companies and employers in Australia,
and have recently been in the media spotlight for the closing of one of the recent projects Masters.
Another major reason as to my choice of Woolworths is that there supply chain would be as
interesting and extensive as any other Australian based company. With almost a thousand
supermarkets Australia wide and over 100 thousand staff, Woolworths is one of the countries
prominent employers (Woolworths limited 2012).
An added incentive as to why I chose to do my report on Woolworths was that they are my current
employer. I believe that by learning more about the current supply chain structure and management of
the company that I do indeed work for, will give me a more detailed overview of the job that I am
currently doing. By understanding more about the company you re involved will hopefully keep me
motivated and improve my work leading to a happier time whilst I am working (Gelles 2013 p.37). As
a billion dollar company, Woolworths would have to be very careful and deliberate with who and what
there supply chain consists of. With the vast variety of social media and news sources in the current

  • 2. Narrative Essay On Nice Over Mice Nice over Lice It was a warm spring afternoon, birds chirping on the dark, ebony branches of the cherry plum trees in the local park. Near the end of the park stood an antique looking hair saloon, but appearances could be deceiving, for that old looking shop had all the new and latest technological installed one could dream of, fresh out of the market. Famous for Midas touch of the beautician working there for transforming the plain looking to mouth dropping beauties. It was the The Dyeing Question saloon; usually it would be packed with customers, seeking special treatment for their hairs, but today it was nearly empty. Expect for a woman sitting on a couch, not a single soul could be seen; it seemed as if the people had vanished into thin air. But where did they go? It was all because of the lone customer sitting. • 3. What Is The Relationship Between Simba And The Prodigal Son Analysis There are several biblical concepts found in the Lion King however, this essay will be focusing on the correlation in the Lion King and the prodigal son. Simba, the main character in the lion king can be compared to the wayward son in the parable of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15:11 32. In the opening scene, we encounter Simba as a baby cub when he is presented to all the animals in Pride Land. Simba literally grows up in front of us, three different actors represent Simba namely, young Simba, teenage Simba and adult Simba. As Simba grows up, he is trained by his dad. It is not said that the prodigal son is trained by his father but it was implied that the father trained both sons because the prodigal son saw the error of his ways and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the case of Simba, this was after he had fought and defeated his uncle and had an heir (he had taken responsibility) and in the case of the prodigal son, there was celebration on his return to his father this implies that with God, salvation is by Grace and not by works (Ephesians 2:8 10), in contemporary society a lot is said about the importance of taking responsibility. This is also important in the bible but Christians believe that responsibility is part of the transformation and formation process which comes after conversion in the New Testament. In the two stories, both fathers would agree that their sons were lost and are now found, they were dead but are now alive. Both sons were home where they belonged. This happened only after they discovered who they really were; both had to come to themselves and grow up to maturity but not without struggles the conversion process of ... Refugee resettlement process supports reintegration chances for refugees and asylum seeker and it gives an approach to a sustainable peace building through their empowerment. There some benefits but despite those things resettlement practices has some challenges as well for refugees and host both countries. Resettlement policy and practices can be analyzed by different context and perspective. In the United States, resettlement policy has become a humanitarian issue which related to human rights and social justice. • 7. Clear And Concise Outline Of Tarantino s Pulp Fiction In order to establish a clear and concise outline of Tarantino s work in relation to the consideration of film being represented as high art, we need to begin with one of his earlier and more distinguished works, Pulp Fiction. Pulp Fiction is not for the faint of heart and its allure boils down to a matter of personal preference and judgement, but its magnitude as a film is a matter of history. One of the main reasons Pulp Fiction has found so much success and praise in the art community is that Tarantino ushered in a new era of post modernism in the film industry. Basically, what aesthetic Postmodernism states is that what already has been done, has been done before and there is nothing new . Postmodernism can also be distinguished by the ... Tarantino is laying the groundwork with his dialogue for a scene in which Vincent agrees to take Mia Wallace (wife of Marsellus Wallace) out on a date, on his bosses orders. When Mia accidentally overdoses, Vincent rushes her to his drug dealer, Lance, who resuscitates her with a shot of adrenaline injected directly into her heart. We then meet Lance s girlfriend, Jody, who begins to talk about her piercing fetish. This scene is where you get to witness the subtle instances of dialogue that Tarantino has put into place for a specific pay off in the scenes to come. • 10. The Glass Menagerie And Winnie Holzman And Stephen... Theater has been a platform that has been used to deepen our communication and understanding of the complexities of the world around us. It teaches us through language, movement, and the establishment of intimate relationships that play to the contagious nature of emotions. The majority of the 20th century saw a utilization of plays as a tool to stimulate social change, provoke viewers to assess the foundation of what they believe, and an attempt to depict humanity as it truly was. In comparison, though not totally in abandonment, the later 20th century and early 21th century brought to life a more flashy, commercialized interpretation of this tool, and played to the societal theme of entertainment, as seen in the increase of musical theater (Janaro). A true example of this stark contrast is Tennessee Williams tragedy The Glass Menagerie and Winnie Holzman and Stephen Schwartz s mega musical Wicked. Although from fundamentally different eras and using the employment of distinctive structures that correlate with the different branches of theater, at the core, these stories speak to the same idea of freedom as discussed in the Janaro text. Through assessing the actual elements of these theatrical pieces, there are a lot of similar motifs advanced by both works. In both cases, there is an overarching theme of the characters being divergent from cultural expectations, the ideal of fatherhood is outlined as symbol of contempt and abandonment, there is prevalence of both ... The second quatrain contains the next metaphor comparing the sun s journey across the sky to the speaker s lifetime. The speaker tells the listener that they can see the twilight of such day, as after sunset fadeth in the west , or the aging of the speaker after the brightness and energy of his youth have started to fade just like the sun does as it approaches the end of its journey. The speaker continues with which by and by black night doth take away , black night signifying old age taking away what little remains of the speaker s youthfulness, and the eventual passing away of the speaker. A shift in tone occurs here from somber to one of forlorn as the speaker recognises that he will eventually die. The speaker finishes the metaphor by explicitly saying the dark of night represents Death s second self, that seals all up in rest. Night in the metaphor seals up all in eternal rest through death. States have the option of providing child health assistance in SCHIP through Medicaid, a separate program, or a combination of the two. There is also flexibility in benefit design, though benefits must meet certain set standards. As in Medicaid, state payments for child health assistance under SCHIP qualify for federal matching payments. On average, the federal government pays 70 percent and state governments pay 30 percent of program costs. • 21. Jean Piaget s Stages Of Cognitive Development Piaget s Stages of Cognitive Development The Stages Through his research, Jean Piaget was able to determine that there are four stages of cognitive development in humans. The stages include the sensorimotor stage, the pre operational stage, the concreate operational stage, and the formal operational stage. He determined that all people go through the stages, but they all go through the stages at their own pace. Some people may never reach the final stages. The sensorimotor stage begins at birth and ends around two years old, when the child has acquired language. At the beginning of this stage, children do not see a difference between themselves and things around them. Children in this stage repeat activities repeatedly to see what will happen and see a cause and effect. This behavior may be seen when a child repeatedly knocks their sippy cup off their highchair. They will do this after they realize that it makes the cup disappear and then the parent gives the child attention and makes the cup reappear. The main milestone in the sensorimotor stage is object permanence. That means that the child knows that something is still there even if they cannot see it. Children in this stage are also capable of creating mental representations of objects, or schema. The preoperational stage begins at around two years old and ends around seven years old. (Banchoff Smith, 1999) It is very seldom that countries involved in the process of integration actually follow a certain pattern, (Holden, 2003) however, there are several formally recognisable phases of ... • 24. A Subarachnoid Hemorrhages A Subarachnoid Hemorrhage, or SAH, is devastating and usually has a traumatic outcome. Basically, an SAH is bleeding that occurs between the brain and what surrounds it. This surrounding area is known as the arachnoid, thus the reasoning behind the name. The main cause of SAH is cerebral, or brain aneurysms, because aneurysms usually have more fragile walls than normal vessels, putting them at more of a risk to rupture. Subarachnoid hemorrhages are not something to be taken lightly, as they have many dangers. Many people lack awareness of the dangers accompanied with subarachnoid hemorrhages as soon as they occur, during the treatment of them, and even with life after surviving the hemorrhage. First, as soon as a subarachnoid hemorrhage occurs, there are many dangers to consider. While a brain aneurysm may not have any symptoms, an SAH does and they are unfortunately very sudden. Since an SAH is bleeding from the arteries, the rupture causes abrupt bleeding. From The Gale Encyclopedia of Medicine, Ms. Julia Barrett describes that the immediate danger caused by subarachnoid hemorrhages would be ischemia. She states, Ischemia refers to tissue damage caused by restricted or blocked blood flow. The areas of the brain that do not receive adequate blood and oxygen can suffer irreparable injury, leading to permanent brain damage or death, thus agreeing that danger is present from the very start with subarachnoid hemorrhages (Barrett). This case established that an auditor could be sued by a primary beneficiary for damages from negligence. A primary beneficiary is a party that has a direct benefit from the audit. Non privity parties could also sue for gross negligence. This increased the auditor s legal exposure to third parties. The SEC of 1934 reflected these changes and many others; one significant change was that auditor s had a much higher litigation risk due to their new responsibility to third parties. The audit report in the 1920 s was very basic. The highest mortality rate in trauma patients with massive haemorrhage initially develops with hypothermia, coagulopathy and acidosis. Coagulopathy, which can be defined as the disorder whereby the body experiences the inability of the blood to coagulate, together with hypothermia and acidosis, form the three main components of the trauma triad of death (Anthony et al, 2005) and in lieu of this fact, it is important to ascertain the role of temperature on maintaining homeostasis. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This organ system has a number of functions namely, to keep a constant body temperature as well as to ensure coagulation occurs specifically at the site of injury, as well as to ensure no added blood loss occurs to cause life threatening effects. This process of blood coagulation is explained in three interconnected phases. In the first phase, the enzyme thrombokinase is activated due to the damage of tissue and the breaking down of platelets. Prothrombin is converted into thrombin by the disintegration of the thrombocytes, electrically charged calcium ions and other coagulation factors, as well as the blood activator and tissue activator which become involved in the coagulation process. The second phase includes production of the thrombin that transforms fibrinogen in the blood plasma into fibrin. Coagulation is then followed by fibrinolysis (re dissolution of the clot). Hypothermia, an important factor of coagulation as mentioned earlier, is described by Danzl et al (2009) as a potentially fatal condition when the body loses more heat than it can regenerate. The performance was made up of two pieces: Overture to Nabucco composed by Giuseppe Verdi and Symphony No. 5 E minor op. 64 composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky with its 4 movements. The theme of the overall performance was Fifth and Fate , depicting the ideas of life and destiny. Despite its flaws, the concert very well exemplified this theme and overall put on a delightful and memorable performance. Now, while the performance in its entirety was something spectacular, like every piece of art, it had its flaws. One thing I noticed throughout the recital was the lack of balance. At some points, the string section overpowered the horns almost entirely to where it was nearly impossible to hear them. Granted, the string section was almost three times the size of the brass, but that is no excuse. A good director would notice this imbalance and make an attempt to conduct the sections to fix this unequal sound. Simply stating, the strings needed to be quieter and the horns could ve made an attempt to be louder. A more obvious fault to the untrained ear was the timing of the orchestra. On occasion, after rests, when an entire section was cued to come in, they did not come in in unison. Titus Andronicus by William Shakespeare, is a play full of murders, miseries and heinous deeds, whose chief architect (Shakespeare 5.3.121) for the most part, if not all, was Aaron the Moor. The audience of the play would be so quick to rule Aaron as a purely evil character, the most evil of all the other characters. However, a deeper analysis of Aaron shows that despite his villainy, he still has a human side which he shows towards his son, and that his dark skin has made him a victim of racism, which might have influenced his character, and developed his evil nature that he enjoys. Aaron s status is more complicated than just purely evil, and on the whole, he can be a sympathetic character. (111 121) Mrs. Dalloway written by Virginia Woolf is about the fictional life of a character by the name of Clarrisa Dalloway, who is seen to be this high class woman living in an era after the war, who is preparing for a party that she is to be hosting later on. For example when characters reflect on past incidents that happened in their lives and then the story suddenly turns back into the present and in reality of the story a few minutes have only gone by. An example of that is when Clarrisa reflects her youth, What a lark! What a plunge! For so it had always seemed to her, when, with a little squeak of the hinges, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 46. A Report On Woolworths Company My chosen business that my report will be based on is the Woolworths company, known primarily in Australia for their supermarket s and retail chains. Woolworths run several high profile Australian stores such as BWS, Dan Murphys, Big W and the highly publicized Masters. The reason for my choice of Woolworths was that as they are one of the biggest companies and employers in Australia, and have recently been in the media spotlight for the closing of one of the recent projects Masters. Another major reason as to my choice of Woolworths is that there supply chain would be as interesting and extensive as any other Australian based company. With almost a thousand supermarkets Australia wide and over 100 thousand staff, Woolworths is one of the countries prominent employers (Woolworths limited 2012). An added incentive as to why I chose to do my report on Woolworths was that they are my current employer. I believe that by learning more about the current supply chain structure and management of the company that I do indeed work for, will give me a more detailed overview of the job that I am currently doing. By understanding more about the company you re involved will hopefully keep me motivated and improve my work leading to a happier time whilst I am working (Gelles 2013 p.37). As a billion dollar company, Woolworths would have to be very careful and deliberate with who and what there supply chain consists of. With the vast variety of social media and news sources in the current ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
