Crocodiles primarily feed on fish, deer, birds, and other land animals in water, and live in warm, humid swamps and rivers in parts of North America, Africa, South America, and Indonesia. They are known as dangerous predators that many people fear, though they are also hunted for their skins, leading some species to be hunted to near extinction.
