Where can you find Endangered Animals?Endangered Animals are on every continent.Around 5000 different endangered animals today. 500 extinctions have occurred in this century.
What does “Endangered” mean?Endangered Animal: An  animal at risk of becoming extinct because of human activity such as hunting or changes in climate. The United States Fish and Wildlife Services determines which animals are on the list.
Familiar Animals from around the World Some endangered animals can be found in zoos.You would be very lucky to spot them in the wild.
Polar BearsPolar bears live in the Arctic.
They rely on packs of ice by currents of water.
They eat seals which are found on the ice.
Endangered because of the melting ice packs.
Loss of ice equals less habitat available.
Poaching is declining their population.HummingbirdsHummingbirds are known for their colorful feathers.
Hummingbirds can fly backwards and upside down!
They use their long tongue to suck nectar.
Loss of habitat endangers these birds.
Climate change affects their migration.
Change makes it harder to find food.DolphinsDolphins are found all over the world.
They live in oceans everywhere.
Dolphins are known for being intelligent.
