CI Assessment Project
• Project partners included:
▪ Centre for Security Science – Defence R&D Canada,
▪ Emergency Management British Columbia
▪ Justice Institute of BC
• Project had two goals:
▪ Enhancing municipal governments awareness of CI,
and
▪ Create a tool & process to assist in identifying
dependencies assets, goods and services

programs were more successful

Scope of Tool
• The Tool & Workshop will:
▪ Inform municipal staff about CI
▪ Organize CI assets, goods & services
▪ Provide a subjective review of what is “critical”
• The Tool & Workshop will not:
▪ Objectively rank assets or goods & services
▪ Replace other community planning processes
▪ Be completed within an afternoon
