The Christian Doctrine Of The Trinity
Outline the development of the Christian doctrine of the Trinity from the New Testament Church to
the Nicene Creed.
I will like to crave your indulgence to the fact that Nicene concept of Trinity is never stated in the
Bible, and it is that early Christians as well as the scriptures clearly points out the fact that Jesus was
fully divine and pre existent. For the fact that, none of the early Christian theologians fully asserted
the doctrine of the Trinity, not even a speculation about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. According to
the father of the paganism description of Trinity God can in no way be described. (Schindler 148).
In the 4th century there are different schools of thought that were developed in Antioch, were they try
to literarily interpret the Scriptures with a great deal of emphasis on the historical context of Trinity.
Arius who is also known as Nicene, came up with the Nicene Creed by arguing the fact that Jesus was
not God, and the Father by itself is true God. Base on the fact that God created Jesus, Arius was able
to support his argument with the books of (Proverbs 8:22 and John 14:28) the Father is greater than I
as a proof.
On the other hand, a number of philosophy was able to argue that Christ was homoousios (same or
one substance) in a way to debunk Nicene Creed by describing the relationship that exist between the
father and Son, by stating the fact that Jesus is God that come to earth as a man which is also the
Father. Arius believes that it

Media and Visual Culture Interpreted the Notion of Black...
Black masculinity has been a very intricate and compelling notion. Through media and visual culture,
an operational interpretation of black masculinity was coined. From the emergence of the original
gangster (OG), to the successful, intellectual middle class black male Cliff Huxtable as evidenced by a
fictional character in the Cosby show. As more black celebrities advance in their career, more
specifically comedians, they further define and challenge the image of black masculinity. When it
comes to masculinity, there is a standard ideation of what the ideal male should be a wealthy,
heterosexual male. However, complicating this stigma with race makes this issue more pressing. What
is black masculinity and how is its image evolving through the use of comedy? Before answering that
question, we must first look at how masculinity and black masculinity is portrayed in comedy.
Robert Hanke, a professor of sociology at the University of Ryerson, in his article The mock macho
situation comedy: hegemonic masculinity and its reiteration , addresses the topic of masculinity in
comedy by examining how comedy works to reiterate hemogenic masculinity by looking at what he
terms two mock macho sitcoms Home Improvement and Coach. Hanke argues the role of comedy as a
strategy to reconstruct manhood from that of just physical actions but emotional as well. He supports
this claim by examining at the central male character Tim Allen, as a recombinant image of manhood,
combing middle

Executive Branch Of Immigration
IMMIGRATION
A topic of concern in today s world is immigration. Its effects have led to actions by the three
branches of our federal government: the legislative branch, the executive branch and the judicial
branch. This topic of immigration has been around since the beginning of our great nation and shows
no signs of slowing down. I m going to explain the factual basis of immigration and how it affects the
three branches of government. I will also explain how it affects our society as well. Immigration is a
major issue, and it is the job of our government to find ways to keep it under control and have an
organized society. First, immigration is a major issue and it affects the legislative branch since the
constitution gives power to this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One interesting fact or concern is that immigration court is totally different from regular court and
how it is structured through the judicial body of the government. Also if any case is taken to court
relating to immigration the president and the executive branch is informed about these cases. In
comparison immigration court is a different world compare to tradition court in terms no judges are
voted in but are instead appointed, and the department of justice makes the decision on what judge
takes what case. Another key element in immigration court is that no jury hears these cases which are
a lot different from tradition court and some even feel it s unconstitutional in some

Essay On Redbot
Redbot Writing By: Alex Elstrodt
Robots can be used to provide a service that a certain group needs. That is also that task that was used
to create the Redbot. Redbots are a type of robot that was used to follow the task. The Redbot can help
Bison by providing a service, improving the quality of life, and it helps in political, economic, and
social ways.
Bison need help and that is what the Redbots service that it will provide is. The Redbot makes sure
there are no threats to the Bison. It also helps makes sure the Bison is healthy. The reason the Bison
was chosen was because they have been an important animal to the land since the ice age. Now
hunters have come and killed Bison and that caused them to become endangered and that can be fixed
by the Redbot and improve the quality of life. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

political, and economic.
The Redbot helps the Bison in three groupings political, social, and economic. The ways it helps in

The Complex Processes Of Urban Development
The complex processes of urbanisation overarches and entails a set of social, cultural, economic,
political, environmental and technological functions that result in sprawl and densities, proportional to
core size and settlement. Further implicating the extensive use of natural resources from fringes and
rural spheres within city limits to be consumed and then later in turn converted into waste. Urban
ecosystems are therefore, complex multifaceted systems that require a burdensome amount of natural
resources input and negotiations for their adequate development. In urban discourse, the lack of
interdisciplinary and trans disciplinary interest partly due to an absence of tools to which all
disciplines can use to further incorporate ecological theories to assessment and planning of urban
centers. All these connections have been made and academics have divided the complex concept into
biophysical processes and socioeconomic processes when examining cities in case studies. The urban
ecology theory and a closely related concept of urban metabolism can explain the technical aspects of
urban density and growth but human influences are not accounted for in the assessment. However,
human scholarship is a key component that shapes the metabolic processes in urban ecologies and in
turn alters the initial footprint.
By examining the historical context of urban ecology, the early stages and latter results of the urban
ecology theory being transformed from a multidisciplinary concept into

Comparing Julius Caesar And Antony
Octavian and Antony No contemporaries could have possibly known for sure as to who the victor
would be from the conflict that arose between Gaius Julius Ceasar Octavianus, Octavian, and Marcus
Antonius, Antony. However, knowing what the ultimate outcome of the struggle was, one may be able
to look back into history and offer key reasons as to why Octavian was able to defeat Antony.
Ultimately, I believe there was not one key reason for Octavian victory. It was a combination of
Octavian s proximity to Rome, his favor with the citizens, and the elimination of his opposition at
home that all combined to allow his eventual triumph. Overlooking some smaller details, it is first
important to know that after Julius Ceasar s assassination that Octavian was named his heir and
returned to Italy to claim this inheritance. From here, he gathered military power and allowed the
senate to use him, in order to advance his political position, and he was sent to fight against a
rebellious Antony. At this point, Octavian did not try to decimate Antony s forces, instead he proposed
and ultimately formed the second triumvirate with Antony and Lepidus as the other heads of the state
(Wells 13). From here, the Roman territories were divided into areas of governorship with Antony
taking the east, Octavian the west, and Lepidus had the Africa territories (Wells 17). This would turn
out to be one of the main contributing factors in Octavian s ultimate success; for it allowed him the
opportunity

Higher Skill For The Next Level
Higher Skill for The Next Level
Looking at my background as a student from Indonesia writing and knowing that English is not my
first language makes me unconfident about myself, and I had a problem mainly in structuring my
sentence and grammar. When I first came to De Anza I did not have any confidence about my writing,
and after I took the placement test I was placed in EWRT 211 and I took it this summer. The first day I
came to the class, I felt so frightened that I could not do well in the essays and could not catch up with
other students because of the fast pace in summer session. However, after I took EWRT 211 with Prof.
Mary Diehl and as I wrote couple of essays I become more confident about myself as a writer. After
working in each essay I got assigned on, and learning about how to be a better writer, and I am feeling
positive and very confident going to EWRT 1A.
In my first out of class essay What is So Important About Appearance? , I learned many new skills
that I ve never learned before. The most helpful thing that I learned from this essay is about comma
splices. Before knowing what a comma splice is I made silly mistakes such as forgetting to use the
FANBOYS (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so). For example most people do not really care about what we
are wearing, maybe some people do care . In this sentence I should use one of the FANBOYS and
after the comma. However, after doing some reading and rewrites now I have the ability to avoid
comma splices. For

Good Digestion Is The Foundation Of Good Health
Good digestion is the foundation of good health; for instance, one could theoretically eat a perfect diet
and take a multivitamin, but if these nutrients aren t optimally absorbed all that s left is wasted time.
The stomach isn t just one giant food processor and storage system, when you really think about it, the
stomach is also the barrier between the outside world and your internal physiology.
Digestive disorders, treatments, causes, etc. is an expansive topic. For the sake of time, I am going to
focus primarily on treating an increasingly common condition called leaky gut syndrome , as it can
lead to many serious complications down the road. The strategies you ll use to help fight this, will also
serve to increase your body s digestive capacity. Simply put, we need to remove this roadblock to
ensure optimal digestion and absorption of nutrients. Leaky gut syndrome is a condition where
damaged bowel lining leads to increased permeability of the gut wall to substances that shouldn t be
going into your blood or interstitial areas. Certain things like bad bacteria, and foreign invaders do not
get blocked from being absorbed through your intestinal membrane, and things that should get
absorbed don t. I also want to emphasize that leaky gut is common in irritable bowel diseases such as
celiac disease, crohn s disease, allergies, and many other things. This is why I want to focus so much
on this aspect.
So what are the symptoms? Diarrhea, chronic joint pain, chronic

The Importance Of Teaching For The Success Of The Team And...
Coaching has become more than just instructions, the expectations of creating leaders is now just as
important as performance. The education that goes into shaping coaches today takes creativity and
new technology to stay current with the ever changing landscape of sports.
The importance of educating coaches is vital to the success of the team and the athletes involved.
Having a strong foundation to build the team on starts with a coach who has taken the time to learn
about all the resources available to have more tools to teach. Everyone has a role to play in achieving
a successful team. Establishing an information flow that starts at the top, and reaches the bottom will
be the key in providing an educational environment. This information flow only works if the
information flows back up. It takes a certain type of person to inspire and motivate a group of
professionals. One needs to learn how to follow to become a great leader. Translating information to
function is a talent not everyone can do, that is why there are just a handful of hall of fame coaches.
There are several methods that will improve the education in coaching. There are three topics that will
give the best opportunity to have a greater impact on the improvement for not just the coach, but the
athletes who play a game they love. The first crucial aspect in improving coaching is knowing what
the future has in store for changes within society, identities of coaches along with athletes, and the

Analysis Of Sisterhood Is Complicated By Ruth Padawer
Every person deserves the right to experience a sense of community amongst people who share a
common characteristic. A sense of fellowship amongst similar people allows a person to become more
comfortable with who they are through interactions with others who are going through or have gone
through the same triumphs or hardships. Without this feeling of belonging, one could be driven into
insanity. Anxiety due to isolation and desolation could run rampant through a person s mind because
of the loneliness that comes with a lack of community making it an essential part of a humanhood. By
definition however, community invites inimitability. Community can be defined as a group of unique
individuals with shared characteristics. From that a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I am a black feminist... I recognize that my power as well as my primary obsessions come as a result
of my blackness as well as my womaness, and therefore my struggles on both of these fronts are
inseparable ... As a woman of color, I find that some feminists don t seem terribly concerned with the
issues unique to women of color the ongoing effects of racism and post colonialism, the status of
women in the Third World, working against the trenchant archetypes black women are forced into
(angry black woman, mammy, hottentot, and the like). (Gay 173).
Gay sees herself as an intersection of the black, woman, and feminist communities, making her a
hybrid of the three, giving her a distinct community to identify with as well as broader groups. She
identifies as a woman and acknowledges all of the expectations and stereotypes that accompanies. On
the other hand, her fundamental views on gender equality gives her the ability to empathize with the
feminist community. Nevertheless, in every group of people, everyone is a distinct individual with a
distinct number of characteristics, both physical and emotional, that sets them apart from the person
next to them. As a woman of color, Gay has a list of additional concerns and interests that pertains to
her specific experience that are not necessarily included throughout the entire group of feminists. Gay

Accounting And Nurse Practitioner
The two careers that interest me are accounting and nurse practitioner. Accounting is the recording of
financial transactions plus storing, sorting, retrieving, summarizing, and presenting the information in
various reports and analyses. An accountant is usually an individual who is an expert in math and
enjoys working with numbers. In order to become an accountant I must first get a bachelor s degree in
accounting. After that, I must look for a job in relation to my field. In order to increase my chances of
getting a job, being license in a specific field would be best. In other words, I could either be a CPA

How the Deaf Communicate in a Hearing World Essay
Imagine what life would be like with the inability to hear. Try to envision watching television without
sound or watching an inaudible movie. There is a silence that has way of making the busiest scenes
seem still. Now try to imagine a lively area filled with lots of laughter, roaring music, and a handful of
birds chirping away. That imagery paints a scene of the plain difference between a hearing world and a
deaf one. One world is capable of hearing and the other involves no incoming source of sound
whatsoever. Understanding how deaf culture and how the hard of hearing work and live is important
in order to comprehend the reasons behind why they do the certain things they do such as stare at
others for a long period of time or the reason ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They did not know how to react to the deaf that is until Plato, a Greek philosopher, wrote on the
account of sign language in Ancient Greece which then resulted in a spark in the interests of other
philosophers, writers, and artists (Mirzoeff). On the other hand, Aristotle, another Greek philosopher,
who has been known as one who first recorded a claim about the deaf, theorized that people were only
able to learn languages if the spoken language was heard implying that deaf people were unable to
learn effectively or at all and may as well be uneducated (Jay). It is important to know and realize that
the cause of deafness was not just because of genetics, but because of diseases which then resulted in
the side effect of hearing loss (Mirzoeff). Meningitis, measles, or mumps were common diseases that
would cause the loss of hearing back in the early modern period (Mirzoeff).
In past times, an issue that occurred most often was how to respond to the deaf in terms of education.
They most certainly were not able to hear which meant that they also would not be able to speak
clearly or at all; many questioned how they would be able to comprehend others or communicate with
them in that kind of setting. There were little to no schools that educated deaf children until Thomas
Hopkins Gallaudet, a man with great intellect, decided that what he wanted do in life was to contribute
to the deaf world ( Thomas H. Gallaudet ). Gallaudet, founder of Gallaudet

The Wonderful Workforce
Separation in the workforce between male and female jobs creates a setting of inequality and
instability in the work force, which limits certain career paths citizens should pursue and promotes an
idea of inequality in employment opportunities. In tradition, the man is the breadwinner of the family;
while this has changed, men still dominate many career paths. Once upon a time, only men were
allowed to play sports in high school. This had drastically changed, due to Title IX, a law that
provided opportunities to different career paths ( Mythbusting ). But, on a professional sport level,
women are not seen playing in the NFL or the NBA. Women have their own leagues, like the Women
s Basketball Association. There are blended sports, but, for the most part, men and women are
separate. The main argument is that women are not as physically able as men and therefore, they
should not compete with men. People see this separation as fair; but, this gender separation will lead
to men controlling the sports world (Faulmueller 1 2). However, the amount of women in professional
coaching careers is diminutive. A mere two to three percent of male teams are coached by females and
in women s sports, the amount of female coaches has plummeted forty two percent; female coaches
already earn less than their counterparts and many are now struggling to find new careers (Waldron 2.

Contraceptive Healthcare Coverage Analysis
Since the enactment of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), our health care system has undergone a
transformation to be inclusive of every American s health care needs. In particular, ACA has
dramatically increased contraceptive coverage for women. Under the ACA s contraceptive coverage
guarantee, also known as contraceptive coverage mandate, all private health plans in the United States
must cover at least one form of contraception in each of the of the 18 methods as identified in the
Food and Drug Administration s(FDA) Birth Control Guide for women (citation2). In addition,

interest in this topic as congress makes movement on this policy in the future. Republicans are already
dissatisfied with the ACA and will expectedly push against more mandates, while Democrats will
support the additional coverage for men. The major health care industry players such as insurers,
employers, and conservative states, may push against strengthening the mandate because of the extra
cost they may incur as a side effect. On the other hand, progressive states, physicians, hospitals,
condom companies, and advocacy groups will likely advocate for the contraceptive coverage mandate
for men because of the increased health benefits for society as whole as well as the increases of

Evolution Of Dog Research Essay
It s likely no surprise to dog owners, but growing research suggests that man s best friend often acts
more human than canine.
Dogs can read facial expressions, communicate jealousy, display empathy, and even watch TV, studies
have shown. They ve picked up these people like traits during their evolution from wolves to
domesticated pets, which occurred between 11,000 and 16,000 years ago, experts say.
In particular, paying attention to us, getting along with us, [and] tolerating us has led to particular
characteristics that often mirror ours, says Laurie Santos, director of the Yale Comparative Cognition
Laboratory. (Read more about how dogs evolved in National Geographic magazine.)

Even more surprising is that the untrained dogs often glanced back and forth between her and the
door, baffled at what she was looking at. The behavior, only seen before in humans and chimps, is
called check backs or double looking, she said. (Read about war dogs in National Geographic
magazine.)
It s a lesson for us all that we should always examine whether training has an effect in these types of
studies, says Wallis.
Next Steps in Dog Research
In humans, aging hastens declines in short term memory and logical reasoning skills, making it more
difficult to learn new tasks. Previous research has found similar declines in dogs, but long term
memory is a little known aspect of dog biology. (See Many Animals Including Your Dog May Have
Horrible Short Term Memories. )
That s why Wallis and colleagues are studying how dogs both young and old memorize tasks, and
whether the animals can remember them months later.
The results are still in the works, but Wallis expects to discover that it s tough but not impossible to
teach old dogs new tricks.

Pros And Cons Of Argument Against Gun Control
Gun control has been one of the most debated topics in the United States and all over the world.
Public safety, economics, and the language of the second amendment are parts of the gun control
argument that might be considered. Because the topic is whether or not the right to bear arms should
include assault rifles, the definition of an assault rifle needs to be established. According to the NRA,
an assault rifle is, By U.S. Army definition, a selective fire rifle chambered for a cartridge of
intermediate power. If applied to any semi automatic firearm, regardless of its cosmetic similarity to a
true assault rifle, the term is incorrect. The other key term that plays a major role in this subject is the
second amendment. The second amendment states this, A well regulated Militia, being necessary to
the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Public safety tends to be one of the biggest concerns when assault rifles are included in the discussion.
There are pro gun control advocates say that countries such as Australia with no guns have a lower
rate of gun related violence. The people that are against gun control believe quite the opposite and cite
the rate of gun related violence in Chicago as their proof against it. Another argument that supports
gun control is that the injuries that are treated with our tax money, and that this is a waste of money
that could be put towards other beneficial programs for our

Toilet paper; we use it every day. Most people don t think about who or how toilet paper was invented.
We get distracted by the soft feeling of the tissue wiping our waste. One of these people who used the
invention is possibly James Buchanan, the 15th president of the United States. But thanks to the man
who gave us a smile on our faces, Joseph Gayetty. Although he did not invent toilet paper for wastes,
he did have a role in making it into what it is today. Now, because of him and companies like Charmin

The Miller s The Crucible Self Reputation
Reputations Matter More Than You Think Self reputation is an important part of keeping pride and
moralities in a person s life, but self absorption can eventually develop from an outstanding care for
reputation. Self absorption is a negative trait found in all people sometimes and it can end up causing
things to go very wrong for yourself and others. Once someone is purely focused on keeping their
reputation and worrying too much of what others think of them, they are overwhelmed by the thought
of hiding all mistakes and always making themselves feel superior to others. Throughout Arthur Miller
s The Crucible self reputation is a major motivation felt by Abigail Williams and Reverend Parris,
which results in Abby accusing innocent people of witchcraft and Parris not helping his people in a
time of need; leaving the town in complete disorder and chaos. Abigail Williams is always making
sure the people of Salem believe her act of innocence and lying to keep her name white in the town.
She wants everyone to think she always tells the truth and is pure, so she will never get in trouble for
the dreadful acts she does. She secretly deceits others to keep them on her side and will make up any
story to get the blame off of her and on someone else. When Parris confronts Abigail about what the
girls did the in woods she says to him with assertion, Uncle, we did dance; let you tell them I

Culture In Things Fall Apart By Kwame Anthony Achebe
In the world today, there are over 7 billion people alive each with their own goals and thoughts in their
mind. With the 7 billion different thoughts in the world similar thoughts converge and create a
community of the similar mind and eventually form something called culture. Every culture is
different and unique. In Kwame Anthony Appiah s novel cosmopolitism, in the chapter Whose Culture
is it anyways, he talks about how citizens from different countries should learn about the cultures of
the other countries in the world to make the world a better place. In the novel Things Fall Apart by
Chinua Achebe the native of Africa had a culture and traditions for years and everything was going
well, by the standards of their culture. The native culture was all about being a man and war, not
giving in. Till the main character Okonkwo gets exiled from his fatherland for 7 years. When he
returns to his fatherland with the intent to regain all the power he had lost, the culture had completely
changes for one reason, fear. The fear that had settled across the village came once they heard the tale
of the neighboring village that got wiped out by white men.
When the white men came to Okonkwo s village they wanted to live in peace at first and for a while it
worked. This peace between nations didn t last long all because of one man, the district commissar.

Uses And Two Types Of Computer Image Adapting Software
Introduction
For facsimile production, Computer image adapting software can practically be divided into two
types. The first type (which includes programs such as Adobe Photoshop and the open source Gimp)
involves editing the images themselves, e.g., brightness and contrast manipulations, colour corrections
and noise removal. These programs support experienced tools for foreground/background dissolution.
For example, in the case of an inscription s image, ink traces can be isolated from the background
element in order to create a facsimile. In Figs. 1a b, a foreground/background selection of a character

1.1 Illustrator
Adobe Illustrator is an advanced vector based program. So, unlike Photoshop s pixel based layout, it
applies mathematical compositions to create vector graphics. In Illustrator, a line consists of two dots
linked by a computer algorithm, rather than just a line of pixels. As a result of this, Illustrator is used
generally to design logos or anything that may need to be printed or exhibited at various sizes (Wood,
2016). A vector graphic will never drop its quality if it s scaled up or down. Illustrator will also give
you an improved print output since it s not resolution dependent. A disadvantage of Illustrator is that it
can t be used easily to alter images that are earlier created since there are definite filters and image
editing tools available to you (Wood, 2016).

Police Department And The Law Enforcement
The police department and the law enforcement sector as a whole has been thought of having myriad
challenges with regards to situations of the breaking of law. This is mainly because an officer is not
always aware of what type of situation he/ she is going to encounter next in the course of maintaining
law and order which is their basic mandate; having said that, it is an all too familiar situation to the
law enforcement officers that any particular situation is entirely different from another. With respect to
that, an officer may encounter some breaking of the law in one particular street; in such a street or
state, the citizens may be having a very good record as far as observing the law is concerned. On the
other hand, the same police officer may encounter a situation whereby a citizen has gone contrary to
the law in a street infamous for the breach of law and order. In both cases, police discretion is highly
advised. It would not be a surprise to see the officer acting harsh on the latter scenario as a result of
the pre formed mindset as far as history of a particular area of jurisdiction is concerned. It is for that
reason that police discretion appears to be quite a challenging issue of concern in any typical society
as a result of controversies which tend to occur in the process of exercising police discretion as
asserted by Ross, (2012). Police discretion
Police discretion in this context refers to the ability of a law enforcement officer to make a quick

Michael Jackson Overcoming Obstacles
Michael Jackson
Have you ever had to overcome obstacles? I know I have. Michael Joseph Jackson was born on
August 29,1958 in Gary, Indiana. He lived in a small house with eight other siblings(Pratt,16).
Growing up Michael s family learned music through watching and hearing their father, but many
things with their father took a big turn. As life continued, Joe Jackson took interest in his boys musical
talent and started a band called, The Jackson 5.
They began doing small gigs to opening acts for many big top artists. Soon they began to hit the
charts, becoming the big talk of the town and a big hit with and for Motown Records. As all things,
they must come to an end. The Jackson 5 went their separate ways, only one continued their big

Joe Jackson was known for being too violent to his children. He was known for hitting the kids
regularly for disobeying(Pratt, 18). Growing up Michael and his siblings weren t allowed to play with
kids in the neighborhood and they were very afraid of him(Pratt, 18). His father whooped his son for
popping a string on his guitar and that was the night they became a musical group. When they started
to have stardom every decision was made through their father. When you re a show business child,
you really don t have the maturity to understand a great deal of what is going on around you. People
make a lot of decisions concerning your life when you re out of the room. So here s what I remember.
I remember singing at the top of my voice and dancing with real joy and working too hard for a child.
Of course, there are many details, I don t remember at all. I do remember the Jackson 5 taking off
when I was eight or nine, Michael Jackson. (Pratt 16). The difficult part was they/he didn t get a break
from work. They worked on singing and performing everyday for hours. The pressure of being the

The Venetian Laggon and Overfishing
In recent years, the Venetian lagoon has been under the threat of devastating over fishing. This tragic
exploitation of a resource is largely promoted by the fact that property rights in the lagoon are not well
defined (Rossetto, 2000; Nunes, Silvestri, Pellizzato, Boatto, 2008; Longo, 2003). This paper will
investigate the failure of current policies in the Venetian lagoon to promote a sustainable yield, and
aims to discover what variables of a successful common property regime are missing from the
Venetian case. The issue of common property regimes in Italy has been approached previously by
multiple economists. Casari and Plott (2003), and McKean and Ostrom (1995) have investigated
common property in the context of the unique case of the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme, a forestry
operation in northern Italy and successful common property regime which despite being a different
resource is faced with many of the same risks and struggles as those faced by regulators of the lagoon.
Conversely, Longo (2003) and Rossetto (2000) have addressed the failures of the current system in the
lagoon. To add to the analysis, this paper will synthesize this research to define what makes common
property regimes such as the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme capable of sustainably producing, while
the regime in the Venetian Lagoon ultimately results in devastating overfishing. In order to uncover
the conditions which allow for the exploitation of fish in the lagoon, I will examine the issue with a

Female Infanticide and Foeticide Essay
Female Infanticide and Foeticide
It is regrettable that female infanticide and foeticide are rapidly decreasing the female population
throughout India. The main factors that is responsible for the increase in the incidence of female
infanticide and foeticide is the low status of women, son preference, and the practice of dowry across
all casts groups.
The low status of women and girls is due to cultural beliefs and the material cost they represent to
their families. Vanaja Dhruvarajan says that there is a belief regarding the nature of men and women:
Men are ritually pure, physically strong, and emotionally mature; women, on the other hand, are
ritually pollutable, physically weak, and lack strong willpower (30). Because of these ... Show more

Overall, girls get poorer education than boys, and become less aware of the world around them.
Therefore, they become dependent on men, whether it is the father, the husband or the son.
The preference for male children is due to three major reasons. One is the economic value of having
sons. Sons are more likely than daughters to provide family labour on the farm or in a family business,
earn wages, and support their parents during old age. Upon marriage, a son brings a daughter in law
into his family, and she provides additional help around the house as well as she brings riches in the
form of dowry payments. Another important advantage of having sons is their social cultural utility. In
India patriarchal family system, having one son is essential for the continuation of the family line, and
many sons provide high status to the family. Vanaja Dhruvarajan says, When a women becomes a
mother, especially the mother of a son, her status goes up in her new home for having helped
perpetuate the family (87) Finally, the utility of having sons comes from the important religious
functions that only sons can provide. In Hindu tradition, sons are needed to do the funeral of their
deceased parents and to help in the salvation of their souls.
Daughters are considered to be an economic problem to her parents mainly because of the heavy
dowry payment demanded by the groom s family, as well as the high cost of the wedding,

Apostle Peter Research Paper
AT1 Biographical Study of Peter
Social and Historical Context
Peter was one of the first twelve Disciples of Christ and was born, along with his brother Andrew, in a
small village called Bethsaida which is on the northern shore of Galilee, Israel. Both Peter and his
brother were fisherman by trade, most likely because of their father Jonah, who was also a fisherman.
The two brothers were both followers of John the Baptist s ministry, how exactly they came to follow
John the Baptist is unknown, however it is speculated it was via their travels transporting fish from
Galilee to Jerusalem. Peter s original name from birth was Shimon or Simeon , which when translated
in English is Simon . It wasn t until he had an encounter with Jesus of ... Show more content on

In Peter s first letter he urges his readers to repay evil with good, to love one another and to protect
their reputation as good citizens of high morality (The Editors of Encyclopædia Britannica, 2013).
The second theme was to stay sharp (in regards to his word). His second letter contains a lot of
information on false prophets, and he goes on to say that in order to stand strong against their false
teachings, you need to seek after the true knowledge of god. He links this in with standing strong,
because the day Jesus returns is coming quickly.
The third is to live for Jesus. For over three years, Peter lived in close proximity with Jesus. This gave
Peter the best example of what it is like, to truly live in holiness in a hostile world. Therefore Peter
points his readers to the best example there is, Jesus himself. Peter tells his audience to sanctify Christ
as Lord in their hearts, that believers might live and act according to how Jesus desires during their
short time on earth (1 Peter 3:14 18) (Swindoll, 1979).

Themes Of Johnny Tremain
Esther Forbes published Johnny Tremain in 1943, when the United States was in the middle of World
War II, in which the United States and the United Kingdom ,yet another way to refer to Great Britain,
were allies. But that s okay because Forbes makes it clear that England is not the real enemy but the
real enemy is any government that threatens the liberty of its people or just doesn t stand up for them.
So, in a roundabout way, Johnny Tremain is partly about the importance of workman s comp laws.
Johnny Tremain, the book and the movie, were very different because of the events and the characters;
and similar because of the plot, and timeline. Johnny Tremain, an orphan is apprenticed to silversmith
Emphraim Lapham. When we meet Johnny, his entire identity is wrapped up in being a fantastic
silversmith. He s career driven since he is only an apprentice, but he s running his master s shop.
Johnny s natural arrogance will always be his downfall, but he slowly learns to control it, along with
his naturally quick temper. From believing that he knows it all, he comes to realize how much he
doesn t know, through his journey through Boston s Sons of Liberty. He violates the Sabbath laws by
working on Sunday, suffers an injury to his hand by burning it with silver, and that ends his career as
an artisan. He then goes to the home of rich merchant Jonathon Lyte with a silver cup given to him by
his dead mother to prove than Lyte is his uncle. The merchant accuses him of having stolen

Theme Of Knowledge In Oryx And Crake
Socrates once said, The only good is knowledge, and the only evil is ignorance. While knowledge can
be justifiably good through the use of learning how to help others, it can also be horribly dangerous.
Society nowadays uses knowledge to classify the people who are worthy of greatness and those who
are not. It is in these classifications that the state of human relationships is greatly tested because of
inequality. In Margaret Atwood s novel, Oryx and Crake, two of the main themes are academic
importance and the state of human relationships. In the culture that Atwood creates, if an individual
does not possess the proper intellect that measures up to societies standards, that individual will be
ostracized and deemed worthless, and their social life will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jimmy s a complex character who, unlike his parents and schoolmates, fits into the category of words
people . In this form of society, to be a words person is considered to be one of the most disgraceful
traits an individual can have. It is academically important to fall in to the numbers people category
because they are the individuals who create new products that will make the most profit. A numbers
person could not care less about proper grammar or passion. A numbers person acts almost robotically
in nature with little consideration of how far is too far . Being a words person, Jimmy understands the
passion and beauty that once made the world a spectacular place to live in. He has the wisdom to

fact, his parents, for the most part, are absent from his life. His mother and father very rarely ever

Each of the seven playable characters enter the tournament for different reasons (some for revenge,
while others for glory). The main protagonist is Liu Kang, a Shaolin Monk of the White Lotus society
who wants to bring honor back to the Mortal Kombat tournament. The main storyline was expanded
through comics and sequels, involving the evil forces of Outworld, who use the tournament in order to
take over Earth (known as Earthrealm) ( Mortal Kombat ).
Introduction:
Roughly 68 percent of all American households play computer or video games. Of this, 25 percent are
under the age of 18. While the average age of a typical video game player is 35, it does show a large
number of individuals are playing video games before college and while they are still at home, living
with their parents and attending grade school. Media misrepresents video games as a violent
distraction for its audiences. Stereotypes of games like Grand Theft Auto or Mortal Kombat have
dramatically changed the video game world.
When playing violent video games most players can distinguish the difference between the game and
reality, but for others their game and realities are the same. According to Tom Mcgrath, violent
shooting games might not be just a game to some people. Playing a

Symptoms Of Acute Coronary Syndrome
Symptoms of Acute Coronary Syndrome
Acute coronary syndrome is a medical emergency in women and men that needs
immediate attention; it is imperative to identify early symptoms to get an early treatment with
good outcomes. The timely recognition of symptoms for this condition could be a matter of life
or death for the patient; acute coronary syndrome is responsible for more than seven million
deaths around the world each year, (De Vonn, Hogan, Ochs, amp; Shapiro, 2011). Su, Nyi, and Li
(2015) states, Approximately one third of people suffering heart attacks die before they reach
the hospital (pp.1). In many cases, when the symptoms of acute coronary syndrome arise,
people do not identify them until is too late for an intervention, so it is possible that socio
demographic factors such as, gender, age, ethnicity, and income of an individual influence the
recognition of symptoms of acute coronary syndrome and delay treatment?
A research study mentions, The most important factor impacting increasing time to
treatment for ACS is the patient s decision to delay seeking care, (De Vonn et al., 2011).
Sociodemographic and clinical factors such as, age, education level, and income play an
important role for those deciding when to seek for medical attention for symptoms of acute
coronary syndrome; Most patients who reported specific symptoms were male, young, with
better financial conditions, (Gouveia, Travassos, Mendes, amp; Silva, 2015). The association of the

How Doctor Die By Ken Murry
In How Doctor Die, Ken Murry explains the choice of doctors when they have a terminal illness.
From the beginning, Ken gives an example of an orthopedist who was diagnosed with stomach cancer.
He quit his job and spent the rest of his day with his family. A doctor is a person who treats disease
and saves patients; however, when they have an illness, they are also like other patients. They meet
difficult situations with their patients but also feel for them. They tend to be fair because they know
about medicine and its limits. They do not want to die. Surely, each doctor has the preparation for
death, and they want to find a way to die in peace. On the other hand, some patients try to find a
method to overcome their illness although they have to bear pain. What I take from Murray s essay is
that patients have a right to chose how they die . Every one dies, eventually, but I agree with Murray
that the choice needs to be an informed decision. According to Murray, some patients fight death, they
use drugs, chemotherpy, radiation, surgical, or CPR. They believe that they can overcome their illness.
Doctors recommend that people who can not be saved with treatment should just live their life with
their family, enjoying the rest of their days. Therefore, the doctors have to know what is best for their
patients. They should have treatment. When the patients spend a lot of money, this is not the way to
overcome illness. For example, there was a women trying to overcome her

Snowball speeches win over the crowd but Napoleon controls the animals with violence. Leon Trotsky

interesting story. It is a story written, directed, and performed by John Cameron Mitchell. Hedwig and
the Inch is a rock musical that came into being through a very odd process. John Cameron Mitchel and
a friend of his, Stephen Trask, came together and created a band that in and of itself would be a

strip mall dives and anywhere else they can find. Near the end of the play, Hedwig is down and out.
While working as a streetwalker, she finally meets Gnosis and they reconcile. After paparazzi burst

How Does The Context Of Production Influence The Nature Of...
This afternoon on the poetry network live we examine two famous pieces on war from different eras,
these pieces are The Charge of the Light Brigade by Lord Alfred Tennyson and The Fool Rings His
Bell by Walter de la Mare.
The purpose of this afternoons show is to answer the question of how does the context of production
influence the nature of poetry?
When it comes to poetry war is an often reoccurring theme. Many poems have been written in times of
crisis when literal expression is the only way to make meaning of the madness.
For the best part of the last century, the theme of war has been dominated by negative connotations
and portrayals depicting quite realistically the atrocity and futility of war. We have ANZAC day, our
annual reminder of the sacrifice of war. When even one of our soldiers pays the ultimate price in a tour
of duty the nation mourns. Any band with an appreciable life span has sung a protest song. Be it from
the television, the radio, the internet or the newspaper the message remains the same; war is bad.
But it wasn t always like this. Back in the good old days when armies fought in ordered lines on far
away fields and shot, hacked and charged each other until there was only one side left standing war
was segregated from civilisation. The battlefield wasn t reproduced in the living room and the greater
public had no comprehension of the atrocities that occurred.
Getting back to the topic we have the Charge of the Light Brigade glorifying war, while

  • 2. The Christian Doctrine Of The Trinity Outline the development of the Christian doctrine of the Trinity from the New Testament Church to the Nicene Creed. I will like to crave your indulgence to the fact that Nicene concept of Trinity is never stated in the Bible, and it is that early Christians as well as the scriptures clearly points out the fact that Jesus was fully divine and pre existent. For the fact that, none of the early Christian theologians fully asserted the doctrine of the Trinity, not even a speculation about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. According to the father of the paganism description of Trinity God can in no way be described. (Schindler 148). In the 4th century there are different schools of thought that were developed in Antioch, were they try to literarily interpret the Scriptures with a great deal of emphasis on the historical context of Trinity. Arius who is also known as Nicene, came up with the Nicene Creed by arguing the fact that Jesus was not God, and the Father by itself is true God. Base on the fact that God created Jesus, Arius was able to support his argument with the books of (Proverbs 8:22 and John 14:28) the Father is greater than I as a proof. On the other hand, a number of philosophy was able to argue that Christ was homoousios (same or one substance) in a way to debunk Nicene Creed by describing the relationship that exist between the father and Son, by stating the fact that Jesus is God that come to earth as a man which is also the Father. Arius believes that it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Media and Visual Culture Interpreted the Notion of Black... Black masculinity has been a very intricate and compelling notion. Through media and visual culture, an operational interpretation of black masculinity was coined. From the emergence of the original gangster (OG), to the successful, intellectual middle class black male Cliff Huxtable as evidenced by a fictional character in the Cosby show. As more black celebrities advance in their career, more specifically comedians, they further define and challenge the image of black masculinity. When it comes to masculinity, there is a standard ideation of what the ideal male should be a wealthy, heterosexual male. However, complicating this stigma with race makes this issue more pressing. What is black masculinity and how is its image evolving through the use of comedy? Before answering that question, we must first look at how masculinity and black masculinity is portrayed in comedy. Robert Hanke, a professor of sociology at the University of Ryerson, in his article The mock macho situation comedy: hegemonic masculinity and its reiteration , addresses the topic of masculinity in comedy by examining how comedy works to reiterate hemogenic masculinity by looking at what he terms two mock macho sitcoms Home Improvement and Coach. Hanke argues the role of comedy as a strategy to reconstruct manhood from that of just physical actions but emotional as well. He supports this claim by examining at the central male character Tim Allen, as a recombinant image of manhood, combing middle ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Executive Branch Of Immigration IMMIGRATION A topic of concern in today s world is immigration. Its effects have led to actions by the three branches of our federal government: the legislative branch, the executive branch and the judicial branch. This topic of immigration has been around since the beginning of our great nation and shows no signs of slowing down. I m going to explain the factual basis of immigration and how it affects the three branches of government. I will also explain how it affects our society as well. Immigration is a major issue, and it is the job of our government to find ways to keep it under control and have an organized society. One interesting fact or concern is that immigration court is totally different from regular court and how it is structured through the judicial body of the government. In comparison immigration court is a different world compare to tradition court in terms no judges are voted in but are instead appointed, and the department of justice makes the decision on what judge takes what case. • 6. The Complex Processes Of Urban Development The complex processes of urbanisation overarches and entails a set of social, cultural, economic, political, environmental and technological functions that result in sprawl and densities, proportional to core size and settlement. Further implicating the extensive use of natural resources from fringes and rural spheres within city limits to be consumed and then later in turn converted into waste. Urban ecosystems are therefore, complex multifaceted systems that require a burdensome amount of natural resources input and negotiations for their adequate development. In urban discourse, the lack of interdisciplinary and trans disciplinary interest partly due to an absence of tools to which all disciplines can use to further incorporate ecological theories to assessment and planning of urban centers. All these connections have been made and academics have divided the complex concept into biophysical processes and socioeconomic processes when examining cities in case studies. The urban ecology theory and a closely related concept of urban metabolism can explain the technical aspects of urban density and growth but human influences are not accounted for in the assessment. However, human scholarship is a key component that shapes the metabolic processes in urban ecologies and in turn alters the initial footprint. By examining the historical context of urban ecology, the early stages and latter results of the urban ecology theory being transformed from a multidisciplinary concept into ... • 7. Comparing Julius Caesar And Antony Octavian and Antony No contemporaries could have possibly known for sure as to who the victor would be from the conflict that arose between Gaius Julius Ceasar Octavianus, Octavian, and Marcus Antonius, Antony. However, knowing what the ultimate outcome of the struggle was, one may be able to look back into history and offer key reasons as to why Octavian was able to defeat Antony. Ultimately, I believe there was not one key reason for Octavian victory. It was a combination of Octavian s proximity to Rome, his favor with the citizens, and the elimination of his opposition at home that all combined to allow his eventual triumph. Overlooking some smaller details, it is first important to know that after Julius Ceasar s assassination that Octavian was named his heir and returned to Italy to claim this inheritance. From here, he gathered military power and allowed the senate to use him, in order to advance his political position, and he was sent to fight against a rebellious Antony. At this point, Octavian did not try to decimate Antony s forces, instead he proposed and ultimately formed the second triumvirate with Antony and Lepidus as the other heads of the state (Wells 13). From here, the Roman territories were divided into areas of governorship with Antony taking the east, Octavian the west, and Lepidus had the Africa territories (Wells 17). This would turn out to be one of the main contributing factors in Octavian s ultimate success; for it allowed him the opportunity ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Higher Skill For The Next Level Higher Skill for The Next Level Looking at my background as a student from Indonesia writing and knowing that English is not my first language makes me unconfident about myself, and I had a problem mainly in structuring my sentence and grammar. When I first came to De Anza I did not have any confidence about my writing, and after I took the placement test I was placed in EWRT 211 and I took it this summer. The first day I came to the class, I felt so frightened that I could not do well in the essays and could not catch up with other students because of the fast pace in summer session. However, after I took EWRT 211 with Prof. Mary Diehl and as I wrote couple of essays I become more confident about myself as a writer. After working in each essay I got assigned on, and learning about how to be a better writer, and I am feeling positive and very confident going to EWRT 1A. In my first out of class essay What is So Important About Appearance? , I learned many new skills that I ve never learned before. The most helpful thing that I learned from this essay is about comma splices. Before knowing what a comma splice is I made silly mistakes such as forgetting to use the FANBOYS (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so). For example most people do not really care about what we are wearing, maybe some people do care . In this sentence I should use one of the FANBOYS and after the comma. However, after doing some reading and rewrites now I have the ability to avoid comma splices. For ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Good Digestion Is The Foundation Of Good Health Good digestion is the foundation of good health; for instance, one could theoretically eat a perfect diet and take a multivitamin, but if these nutrients aren t optimally absorbed all that s left is wasted time. The stomach isn t just one giant food processor and storage system, when you really think about it, the stomach is also the barrier between the outside world and your internal physiology. Digestive disorders, treatments, causes, etc. is an expansive topic. For the sake of time, I am going to focus primarily on treating an increasingly common condition called leaky gut syndrome , as it can lead to many serious complications down the road. The strategies you ll use to help fight this, will also serve to increase your body s digestive capacity. Simply put, we need to remove this roadblock to ensure optimal digestion and absorption of nutrients. Leaky gut syndrome is a condition where damaged bowel lining leads to increased permeability of the gut wall to substances that shouldn t be going into your blood or interstitial areas. Certain things like bad bacteria, and foreign invaders do not get blocked from being absorbed through your intestinal membrane, and things that should get absorbed don t. I also want to emphasize that leaky gut is common in irritable bowel diseases such as celiac disease, crohn s disease, allergies, and many other things. This is why I want to focus so much on this aspect. So what are the symptoms? Diarrhea, chronic joint pain, chronic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. The Importance Of Teaching For The Success Of The Team And... Coaching has become more than just instructions, the expectations of creating leaders is now just as important as performance. The education that goes into shaping coaches today takes creativity and new technology to stay current with the ever changing landscape of sports. The importance of educating coaches is vital to the success of the team and the athletes involved. Having a strong foundation to build the team on starts with a coach who has taken the time to learn about all the resources available to have more tools to teach. Everyone has a role to play in achieving a successful team. Establishing an information flow that starts at the top, and reaches the bottom will be the key in providing an educational environment. This information flow only works if the information flows back up. It takes a certain type of person to inspire and motivate a group of professionals. One needs to learn how to follow to become a great leader. Translating information to function is a talent not everyone can do, that is why there are just a handful of hall of fame coaches. There are several methods that will improve the education in coaching. There are three topics that will give the best opportunity to have a greater impact on the improvement for not just the coach, but the athletes who play a game they love. The first crucial aspect in improving coaching is knowing what the future has in store for changes within society, identities of coaches along with athletes, and the ever ... • 11. Analysis Of Sisterhood Is Complicated By Ruth Padawer Every person deserves the right to experience a sense of community amongst people who share a common characteristic. A sense of fellowship amongst similar people allows a person to become more comfortable with who they are through interactions with others who are going through or have gone through the same triumphs or hardships. Without this feeling of belonging, one could be driven into insanity. Anxiety due to isolation and desolation could run rampant through a person s mind because of the loneliness that comes with a lack of community making it an essential part of a humanhood. By definition however, community invites inimitability. Community can be defined as a group of unique individuals with shared characteristics. From that a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 13. How the Deaf Communicate in a Hearing World Essay Imagine what life would be like with the inability to hear. Try to envision watching television without sound or watching an inaudible movie. There is a silence that has way of making the busiest scenes seem still. Now try to imagine a lively area filled with lots of laughter, roaring music, and a handful of birds chirping away. That imagery paints a scene of the plain difference between a hearing world and a deaf one. One world is capable of hearing and the other involves no incoming source of sound whatsoever. On the other hand, Aristotle, another Greek philosopher, who has been known as one who first recorded a claim about the deaf, theorized that people were only able to learn languages if the spoken language was heard implying that deaf people were unable to learn effectively or at all and may as well be uneducated (Jay). It is important to know and realize that the cause of deafness was not just because of genetics, but because of diseases which then resulted in the side effect of hearing loss (Mirzoeff). Meningitis, measles, or mumps were common diseases that would cause the loss of hearing back in the early modern period (Mirzoeff). In past times, an issue that occurred most often was how to respond to the deaf in terms of education. They most certainly were not able to hear which meant that they also would not be able to speak clearly or at all; many questioned how they would be able to comprehend others or communicate with them in that kind of setting. • 14. The Wonderful Workforce Separation in the workforce between male and female jobs creates a setting of inequality and instability in the work force, which limits certain career paths citizens should pursue and promotes an idea of inequality in employment opportunities. In tradition, the man is the breadwinner of the family; while this has changed, men still dominate many career paths. Once upon a time, only men were allowed to play sports in high school. This had drastically changed, due to Title IX, a law that provided opportunities to different career paths ( Mythbusting ). But, on a professional sport level, women are not seen playing in the NFL or the NBA. Women have their own leagues, like the Women s Basketball Association. There are blended sports, but, for the most part, men and women are separate. The main argument is that women are not as physically able as men and therefore, they should not compete with men. People see this separation as fair; but, this gender separation will lead to men controlling the sports world (Faulmueller 1 2). However, the amount of women in professional coaching careers is diminutive. A mere two to three percent of male teams are coached by females and in women s sports, the amount of female coaches has plummeted forty two percent; female coaches already earn less than their counterparts and many are now struggling to find new careers (Waldron 2. Public safety, economics, and the language of the second amendment are parts of the gun control argument that might be considered. In Illustrator, a line consists of two dots linked by a computer algorithm, rather than just a line of pixels. As a result of this, Illustrator is used generally to design logos or anything that may need to be printed or exhibited at various sizes (Wood, 2016). A vector graphic will never drop its quality if it s scaled up or down. Illustrator will also give you an improved print output since it s not resolution dependent. Police Department And The Law Enforcement The police department and the law enforcement sector as a whole has been thought of having myriad challenges with regards to situations of the breaking of law. This is mainly because an officer is not always aware of what type of situation he/ she is going to encounter next in the course of maintaining law and order which is their basic mandate; having said that, it is an all too familiar situation to the law enforcement officers that any particular situation is entirely different from another. With respect to that, an officer may encounter some breaking of the law in one particular street; in such a street or state, the citizens may be having a very good record as far as observing the law is concerned. On the other hand, the same police officer may encounter a situation whereby a citizen has gone contrary to the law in a street infamous for the breach of law and order. In both cases, police discretion is highly advised. It would not be a surprise to see the officer acting harsh on the latter scenario as a result of the pre formed mindset as far as history of a particular area of jurisdiction is concerned. It is for that reason that police discretion appears to be quite a challenging issue of concern in any typical society as a result of controversies which tend to occur in the process of exercising police discretion as asserted by Ross, (2012). This tragic exploitation of a resource is largely promoted by the fact that property rights in the lagoon are not well defined (Rossetto, 2000; Nunes, Silvestri, Pellizzato, Boatto, 2008; Longo, 2003). This paper will investigate the failure of current policies in the Venetian lagoon to promote a sustainable yield, and aims to discover what variables of a successful common property regime are missing from the Venetian case. The issue of common property regimes in Italy has been approached previously by multiple economists. Therefore, they become dependent on men, whether it is the father, the husband or the son. The preference for male children is due to three major reasons. One is the economic value of having sons. Sons are more likely than daughters to provide family labour on the farm or in a family business, earn wages, and support their parents during old age. Upon marriage, a son brings a daughter in law into his family, and she provides additional help around the house as well as she brings riches in the form of dowry payments. Another important advantage of having sons is their social cultural utility. In India patriarchal family system, having one son is essential for the continuation of the family line, and many sons provide high status to the family. Vanaja Dhruvarajan says, When a women becomes a mother, especially the mother of a son, her status goes up in her new home for having helped perpetuate the family (87) Finally, the utility of having sons comes from the important religious functions that only sons can provide. On the other hand, some patients try to find a method to overcome their illness although they have to bear pain. What I take from Murray s essay is that patients have a right to chose how they die . Every one dies, eventually, but I agree with Murray that the choice needs to be an informed decision. According to Murray, some patients fight death, they use drugs, chemotherpy, radiation, surgical, or CPR. They believe that they can overcome their illness. Doctors recommend that people who can not be saved with treatment should just live their life with their family, enjoying the rest of their days. The purpose of this afternoons show is to answer the question of how does the context of production influence the nature of poetry? When it comes to poetry war is an often reoccurring theme. Many poems have been written in times of crisis when literal expression is the only way to make meaning of the madness. For the best part of the last century, the theme of war has been dominated by negative connotations and portrayals depicting quite realistically the atrocity and futility of war. We have ANZAC day, our annual reminder of the sacrifice of war. When even one of our soldiers pays the ultimate price in a tour of duty the nation mourns. Any band with an appreciable life span has sung a protest song. Be it from the television, the radio, the internet or the newspaper the message remains the same; war is bad. But it wasn t always like this. Back in the good old days when armies fought in ordered lines on far away fields and shot, hacked and charged each other until there was only one side left standing war was segregated from civilisation. The battlefield wasn t reproduced in the living room and the greater public had no comprehension of the atrocities that occurred. Getting back to the topic we have the Charge of the Light Brigade glorifying war, while ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
