Compare And ContrastThe Tragedy Of Julius Caesar And...
The Stepping Stone of Murder
Rarely in history has murder been viewed as righteous, but in the cases of Julius Caesar and Jean Paul
Marat, it was praised rather than shunned. When diving into the stories of these two murders there are
noticeable comparisons between Marc Antony in The Tragedy of Julius Caesar and Jacques Louis
David, artist of The Death of Marat. Both presented their fallen friend in a better light and
manipulated the masses to serve their side, using murder as a stepping stone to greater things.
Upon their friend s murder, Marc Antony and Jacques Louis David attempted to present their friend in
an appealing way that would improve their legacy, yet Marc Antony did so verbally and Jacques Louis
David through artistry. In The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, after Brutus spoke plainly to the citizens of
Rome, Antony slyly addressed them by choosing to remember Caesar as a great leader through a
memorial that was based on a twisted truth. One tactic Antony used was to remind the crowd that
[Antony] thrice presented [Caesar] a kingly crown,/ Which he did thrice refuse. Was this ambition?/
Yet Brutus says he was ambitious (Shakespeare III.ii.96 99). Through his words, Antony convinced
the public of all that Caesar had done for them, while simultaneously undermining the conspirator s
argument against Caesar s ambition. By disparaging the conspirators motives for murder and
recognizing Caesar as a great man who only wanted to serve his people, Antony presented him in an

Gilgamesh Downfall
An epic poem is a narrative poem that normally speaks about heroic acts and events that are
significant within a specific cultured. Many ancient writers used these epic poem to tell stories of
adventures and of courageous accomplishments. In the Epic of Gilgamesh, we learn about Gilgamesh,
a man who is two part God, and one part man. Though he is known as one of the fiercest and most
ambitious warriors, his flaws were a major downfall. Through his characteristics and the historical
background of Gilgamesh, we learn it s historical context and the importance of the two main
characters, how gods are portrayed and its historical occurrence, and lastly how the Sumerian society
functioned. The historical context within Gilgamesh begins when an ... Show more content on

The Sumerians looked to their Gods in every aspect of their life. They re gods are powerful and
impede with the lives of the humans. They have human emotions and problems. An example of this
would be when Ishtar, the God of War and Love, tries to tempt Gilgamesh into having sex with him
and he refused. As a result, she was offended and proceeded to seek revenge on him. Though the gods
are powerful, they are a lot like the humans and in order for everything to work, the humans and gods
have to work together. In some ways, the humans and gods are even similar. For example, they both
share the common characteristic of fear. This was shown when the flood began and even the gods
were terrified at the flood, they fled to the highest heaven...they crouched against walls, cowering like
curs (Gilgamesh 110). This particular flood that occurred within The Epic of Gilgamesh relates to the
flood of Noah and the Ark. This flood occurs because Noah s god, Yahweh, was enraged with the
wickedness of humanity, therefore, sent a flood to destroy it. Though he sent the flood out of anger, he
showed Noah and his family grace by not allowing them to experience the flood, thus, surviving. In
the poem, Noah is best seen through Utnapishtim, a god Gilgamesh seeks for immorality because of
his fear of death. A similarity example within the two floods would be that they both had a God

Further, as a post war nation, the state commits to developing its economy by gathering involvement
from different stakeholders, including international donors, development agencies, NGOs, and local
people in the development process. Yet privatization of natural resources such as land, forestry, mining

liberalization, Cambodia has been integrated into the regional and global economies.

Granting Equal Rights For Gay And Lesbians And Gay Rights
hroughout mankind s history, gays and lesbians have become fairly known as another scapegoat to
societies venomous opinions about accepting anything new or unfamiliar in order to balance out any
negative baggage left behind by previous generations. In order to accept them for who they are, we
must not abolish anymore given rights from them due to the misconception that homosexuality could
break the mindset through fear and righteousness of Christ; that we must beat them down until
eradicated from the planet. Restricting all equal rights to the LGBTQ community could threaten the
pillar of society and eventually, the destruction of equal common grounds for everyone. Granting
equal based rights and legal marriage rights under the authorized laws, must be expanded far enough
to not only the common men and women, but as well for the gays and lesbians too on this planet.
In consideration of what has been happening as of current, most cases are being that the LGBTQ
community has been the reason that there has been a change with the sudden bump of the increased
rate of children s being adopted from either the orphanages or foster homes. Most gay couples
nowadays are considering to start a family, but could never adopt until the states could finally pass a
law where gay and lesbian could adopt a kid, (...) And several states allow gay couples to adopt
children (Jaweed Kaleem, 41 42). Despite that, there are still a majority of people who cannot accept

CHALLENGES OF MULTICULTURAL TEAMS
The increasing number of multinational companies, the expand global market place and the diversity

Managing multicultural teams
Cultural differences create obstacles in front of the effective work. Different cultures and different
backgrounds need special manager skills. It is not enough that the manager has the general managing
skills: communication skills, problem solving skills, conflict resolution and time management skills.
They have to be aware and be able to handle the different communication styles, different
backgrounds and motivations behind the acts. They have to solve the ocurrent cultural conflicts and
misunderstandings.
The first task of the team leader to understand the cultural issues. They have to recognize the cultural
causes of conflicts and obstacles that lead to less effective work. After identifying the problem the
manager can choose three different actions to resolve interpersonal tension (Behfar et al., 2006b):
Adaption
Adaption is possible when team member are willing to accept the cultural differences and they are
able to work around the clashes. In this case team members participate in the problem solving process
without the interaction of the team leader. Intervention
Intervention is needed when the problems are caused by fluency issues or prejudice or because of the
lack of the rules. To avoid the conflicts the team leader can change the structure of the team or create

Silent Differences Between American And British English Essay
Silent Differences in English that Divide American and British Spelling (Rough Draft)
Guiding Question: What is the origin of and reasoning for different word endings that have no effect
on pronunciation between American and British English?
Does one go to the theater or does one go to the theatre? Are one s eyes the color blue or the colour
blue? The answer to both of these questions will differ depending on where they are asked. In
England, the answers will most likely appear as theatre and colour respectively. However, in America,
the opposite answers would be given, but only if the questions were in written format. If these
questions were posed verbally, the answers would appear the same and no difference would be
discerned. Therefore, why is one considered correct and one considered incorrect if they are
phonetically equivalent and why do such differences exist? The answer to these questions is rooted in
the history of the language itself. Whether it is the French influence or the American Revolution,
British and American English are products of their history and culture. The evolution of phonetically
equivalent word endings in British and American English reflect political situations, language shifts,
and foreign influences while evoking historical pride on both sides that carry the differences into
present day. The move towards standardization of spelling for word endings can be seen in the
seventeenth century. The fluidity of spelling was still prevalent as shown

The Role Of Immigrants In Germany
One thing unites Khuê Pham, Özlem Topçu and Alice Bota: They are German citizens and the children
of migrants in a country that has long struggled to define its relationship with foreigners (Lindsey),
these three girls know firsthand what it is like to be a different than everyone around you. Although
they have only ever known Germany as home themselves, German natives see them differently
because their family did not originate in Germany. This real world example attests to this country s
previous outlook on immigration, sometimes even current outlook. There are many different factors
that can contribute to the decision to migrate, and Germany has been a prime location for immigrants.
Population, economics, political indicators, and cultural perspectives are some examples of these
factors. Most immigrants choose Germany for the job opportunities, and arrive as guest workers.
According to the Federal Office of Migration and Refugees, there are a few different circumstances
one may be allowed to enter Germany as a guest worker. An example would be Family reunification .
There are several indicators that explain why Germany is appealing to those looking to relocate, and
these same indicators can drive migrants away from their homeland.
There are many different reasons for someone to migrate to a new country, and Germany did not
necessarily accept immigrants when they first started flowing in. Many came due to difficult situations

Why Hamlet Needs To Die
Hamlet s view of death morphs through the course of the play as he is faced with various problems
and troubles that force him to deal with life differently. This holds particular significance for a modern
audience who, unlike the predominately Christian audiences of Shakespeare s time, contains an
assortment of perspectives on the subject. For the majority of the play, Hamlet yearns for death, but
there are different tones to his yearning as he confronts death in different circumstances; from his
encounter with his father s ghost to the discovery of his beloved Ophelia dead in the ground, Hamlet
feels an irrepressible urge to end his life. There are obstacles that get in his way, both internal and
external, and Shakespeare s play is an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By behaving provocatively (crazy) and exposing his uncle s perfidy, Hamlet hopes to drive his uncle
murderous once again, so that he can kill him and die a hero. It is ironic that Hamlet uses retribution
against his father s death as the means to reach his own death. His attitude toward the concept of death
at this point is split; he behaves as though his father s death is a bad thing, yet he seems dead set
(pardon the pun) on bringing on his own death through his bizarre and provocative antics.
Hamlet s antics climax with the visiting players putting on a performance of The Murder of Gonzago,
which Hamlet designs in order to catch the conscience of the king (2.2.610). Unfortunately, it
succeeds too well, and Hamlet finds his uncle alone and penitent, and thus unfit to send to Hell. This
seems a peculiar deviation from the Hamlet earlier in the play who abides by the Christian code
against suicide; in desiring not only his uncle s death, but his damnation as well, Hamlet takes on a
decidedly evil and soulless countenance. One might argue that it is his father s ghost who imbues this
diabolical edge to Hamlet, that Hamlet s face to face experience with the grave has tainted his spirit
(Gottschalk 156). Or, one might also reason that Hamlet s continual fixation on death, suicide, the
dark and morbid

Title
The Killing Woods is a murder mystery written by Lucy Christopher who, ironically, does not reveal
the mystery of who killed a girl named Ashlee and the suffering of Emily Shepherd. Christopher
builds suspicion among characters but the mystery is never resolved. Ashlee Parker is dead, and Emily
Shepherd s dad is accused of the crime. A former soldier suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder,
he emerges from the woods carrying the girl s broken body. It makes him a suspect but it is not clear
he killed Ashlee. His daughter Emily looks for evidence to prove her father s innocence but she
created more suspects. Lucy Christopher adds suspects as the story goes on and shows how Emily
supports her father and finds evidences to make her father a free man. Christopher creates sympathy

I won t tell you who the romance is between, but I felt it was unnecessary and took away from the
murder element, making it a more obviously teenage book. That s just me, though, and I know a lot of
people will appreciate this part. The differentiation between the two narratives is really good, and you
see the effect that both characters have on each other. Lucy Christopher s writing is really clever; at
one point in the book, Emily shows Damon the painting her dad drew. Whilst Emily thinks it will
prove to Damon that it was her dad (at this point, Emily is doubting even her own father), Damon
thinks Emily is showing it to him to prove she knows about The Game , and thinks that he commited
the murder. The Game is a brilliant addition to the book, which I won t tell you anything about, since I

The Story Of The Ramayana
In the story Ramayana from Valmiki is a story that has often been pass down from generations from
the original version of the story. In the story the Ramayana majority of the Ramayana s view Sita as
the wife who follows her husband when he is exiled for fourteen years who upholds her chastity when
she is abducted by the Rakshasa king Ravana who goes through the ring of fire to prove her chastity
(Anand). During the tenure of the abduction even after passing all these tests quietly, leaves her
husband Rama who is the ideal man. When an ordinary washer man from his kingdom tells Rama
about Sita of the doubts of her character forcing him to leave her. Despite the culture that these people
live in an Indian society Valmiki s Ramayana is one of those stories that compares women as creatures
rather than humans as men use to treat woman as property. In the Ramayana culture they expect the
wife the woman to be a virtue a figure assigning no reciprocal duties to the husband. In the sense the
wife is nothing more than just a piece of property to her husband.
The Ramayana also depicted the love and care of Lord Rama for his wife and the obstacles he
willingly faced to save her from the clutches of Ravana but over the years these acts have failed to
acquire the status of obligations for a husband and have been reduced to insignificant details of the
great text (Anand). In the Ramayana Rama portrays his wife as the ideal Hindu woman beautiful

Bauhaus is a German expression, which is meaning house for building, or we can say Construction
House. The economy in Germany was declining after a crushing war in 1919. This school includes
design, architecture, and applied arts that existed in Germany. Walter Gropius was the founder of the
Bauhaus school. Architects in this school wanted to use basics of classical architecture in their most
pure form functional, without decoration of any kind. The Bauhaus school originated in Weimar,
Germany (1919), moved to Dessau, Germany (1925), and disbanded when the Nazis rose to power.

Clean Water In Cambodia Essay
783 million people in the world are without access to clean sustainable water. The impact of the lack
of clean water can be seen in countries such as Cambodia, Ethiopia, and India. The trash in villages of
Cambodia seeps into the standing water and releases toxins in the ground which enters into the water.
The lack of clean water has Cambodian children exposed to diseases. While in Ethiopia, an
examination shows that fifty one percent of the populations drinking water in the rural area is
unimproved. To better understand more about access to clean water, it s necessary to take a look at
India. Twenty one percent of India s diseases are water related and when a water system is installed, it
adds to the overall development of water. Access to clean, sustainable water is needed for survival; in
countries such as Cambodia, Ethiopia, and India, this is difficult.
Cambodia, a country in southeast Asia, is situated on a peninsula on the Gulf of Thailand. It gets most
of its water during the rainy season from the monsoons. An examination from the CIA studies of
Cambodia reveals that its climate is very tropical with a rainy, monsoon season. This suggests that
much of Cambodia s water is from its heavy monsoons. This is vital because this is where most of the
water comes from in Cambodia and needs to be kept clean.
In Cambodia, the water is very unsanitary due to the lack of infrastructure and its sanitation. An
examination of the lack of infrastructure from National Encyclopedia

Essay on Friedman vs Freeman
What is ethically responsible management? How can a corporation, given its economic mission, be
managed with appropriate attention to ethical concerns? These are central questions in the field of
business ethics. There are two approaches to answering such questions. The first one is Milton
Friedman s shareholder theory of management and the second one is Edwards Freeman s Stakeholder
theory of management, two different views about the purpose and aims of a business. Milton
Friedman s shareholder theory of management says that the purpose of a business is to make money
for the owner or the stockholders of the business. Friedman says that there is only one social

It says that you cannot look at any one of those stakes / stakeholders in isolation. Their interest has to
go together, and a job of a manager or an entrepreneur is to figure out how the interest of customers,
suppliers, communities, employees and financiers go in the same direction. Each of these groups is
important for the business to be successful and if one of the groups is having problems to associate
with the rest then it has a negative impact to all the rest.
In my opinion I believe that both theories have their own advantages and disadvantages and every
business has to follow a theory that complies with its goal, when in my case I would rather follow the
theory of Freeman in one extend. Friedman s position we can see it as a theory for short term
investment and businesses, while Freeman s theory targets businesses that are planning to stay for a
longer term. Also I believe that Friedman s theory affects society in an inefficient way when costs are
not really paid, as for example pollution, traffic congestion, no taxes, and poorly educated workforce.
Another problem with Friedman s position is that it assumes that forces of competition are sufficiently
vigorous, but they are not. In addition the distribution of income that results from profit maximization

Non alcoholic Beverage Industry Trends and Justification
Industry Trends
Today Non alcoholic Beverage Industry continues to grow due to the growing population and rise of
the middle class, especially in emerging markets, and disposable income. All these are key growth
drivers for non alcoholic beverage companies to thrive. According to the Market Intelligence firm
Euromonitor International predicts the middle class around the country will make up 1.5 billion
households by 2020, a 25% rise since 2012. According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis report,
U.S. consumption accounts for over two thirds of the country s gross domestic product (or GDP).
Individuals tend to spend more with a rise in their disposable income. The increase in consumer
confidence also increases consumption expenditure (www.marketrealist.com). Another reason non
alcoholic beverage is on the growth because consumers are more health conscious, and sugary drinks
are on the decline. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, calories from added
sugars in soda are down 39 percent since 2000 because Americans are more conscious about their
weight and the rising obesity rates. Two Thirds of U.S. adults prove to be overweight or obese, a
number that has been rising steadily for the past three decades (www.cnbc.com). According to the

COVERAGE DRIVEN VIP FOR AVALON MEMORY MAPPED INTERFACE USING UVM
Abstract:
The verification phase carries an important role in design cycle of a System on Chip (SoC). A
verification environment may be prepared using SystemVerilog without using any particular
methodology but that will be different for every variation of the design. The UVM testbench increases
robustness of functional verification, and allows you to create flexible, adaptable, scalable
testbenches. It offers quantifiable, measurable progress, and changing test sequences can be used to
easily increase code coverage. This project describes the use of coverage driven verification for
Avalon Memory Mapped Interface VIP using UVM methodology. The Avalon bus is a simple bus
architecture which makes the connection between on chip processors and peripherals together into a
SOPC. It is an interface that specifies the port connections between master and slave components, and
also specifies the timing by which these components communicate. Avalon Memory Mapped (Avalon
MM) interfaces can be used to implement read and write interfaces for master and slave components.
In this work all components of testbench has been created to make a VIP. The coverage collected on
mm_cvgrp is 91.6%. The environment used random stimulus which helps in regression to create
different scenarios.

Analysis of the Mona Lisa

I have always been intrigued with the Mona Lisa, I don t know why but there is something about her

the reason why I can look at this painting with great joy, it doesn t make me think too much, it doesn t
confuse me, the simplicity and the normalcy of this painting is what I enjoy so much. However, after
an analysis you can see that the painting isn t so ordinary.

You can see that the painting seems to be made up of three triangles. Mona Lisa being the biggest then
the left top corner is the background and the top right corner, a continuation of the background. From
what we ve read he designed this painting in an upright triangular composition. However, these two
backgrounds seem to not be part of the same landscape. The left top corner seems more shaded, and
darker. Also the winding road I feel might symbolize troublesomeness, or decisions. Where as, the
right top side of the background is a little lighter in color and the path seems clear and straight. By
positioning the Mona Lisa the way Leonardo did creates balance within the painting. He also did a
wonderful job on the symmetry of her face and of the painting, between the objects in the painting and
the color used its self.
You can see that when viewing a painting like this there are many questions that arise in your mind.
Looking at the Mona Lisa I get drawn in and a sense of wonderment comes over me. I start to imagine
the person in the painting and what her smile was really about. A strong, confident women is what I
think she was, and that was brought out beautifully by de Vinci. I also think that the way he painted
the Mona Lisa shows a lot about what and how Leonardo viewed women. Many say that it was

and 6, 12 oz. cans of ale. This is legal by law if the person meets the legal drinking age of 21.
However, there is a limit of 40 oz. of liquor, wine or 24, 12 oz. cans or bottles of beer or ale. This
person has passed the limit so, he has to pay a fine of 94 cents for every can that he has gone over. You
have to use your basic math skill to figure out how much money this man owes for bringing extra
liquor. 45 cans (what this guy is bringing) minus 24 (the limit) equals 21 cans. 21 multiplied by $0.94
cents is $19.74. This man owes a total of $19.74 for his extra liquor. (Corporation, 2016) The math

career, I have chosen to take it because I am pretty good at it and it is also essential for a bachelor s

What Is The Inequality In Mother To Son
Inequality. The condition of being unequal. In Indian Education and Mother to Son Hughes and Alexie
s works explore these conditions of being unequal through the explanation of diverse hardships that
both of these adolescents experience due to the inequality that has been brought to them by these
privileged communities within society. Realizing this status of inequality in society at a young age is a
motive for Victor and the son to attempt to conform to these unreasonable standards set forth by
people s expectations. Both pieces make a point of becoming aware of the struggles that have been
thrown at these characters early in life, that aid in their survival to go against the odds put against
them. There is a clear distinction between ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At a young age the odds were already against these two characters given many obstacles whether it be
consonant to race or financial stance. Although Victor s obstacles are much different than the ones that
the son will be facing and has faced, both pieces come together to uncover the struggles these
characters have faced, but that what is more important is how these two characters overcome it. I was
always falling down; my Indian name was Junior Falls Down (Alexie). The names that Victor is being
called by his classmates represents how much he stood out in the eyes of the other students and that
because of his skin color he was seen less than the same when compared with rest of them, even at a
young age. But, despite the way these other students picked on Victor he still went on to show them
how he was more than the names they were calling him. In the end Victor came out triumphant against

adequate, but she goes on to tell her son that obstacles as difficult as these should not

Artificial Intelligence Or Ai Is A Science Of Machines
Artificial intelligence or AI is a science of machines. Machines are set up to perform functions that
would require brain power and decision making. These machines have been designed to solve math
problems, play games, assemble products and can be a form of communication. The basis of the story
is to understand whether robots can think or function like humans. Humans deal with things on an
everyday basis not knowing what the outcome will be. There are also information sensitive creatures
such as digital computers. A computer is given information, stores what has been received and
produces an outcome. In the end, a human is the one to program the computer to provide the
information. There has always been a comparison between human minds and computers, but this has
caused a great deal of debate. For instance a computer has to be fed information in order to produce an
outcome. The information has to be fed by a human, but the effectiveness depends on what the
programmer is trying to accomplish. The first article talks two robots names Harry and Henrietta.
Harry is a humanoid form that communicates just a human on any subject. People may believe that he
is really human. But one cannot really say whether he is human or not based on the actions that is
displayed just like a real live person. Harry does not have organs like a human or produced as a
human. Henrietta who is human has been set up with synthetic materials. Everything else about
Henrietta stays the same as if she was

Class Twitch Recombination Essay
Somatic hypermutations and Class Switch Recombination.
When B cells have successfully rearranged their IgH and IgL loci and express a BCR they will leave
the bone marrow as immature B cells and become transitional B cells that migrate to secondary
lymphoid tissues. In the lymphoid tissues B cells may be exposed to antigen and the initial antigen
encounter will initiate a dynamic cascade of cell signalling events that ultimately promotes cellular
activation and proliferation57 60. In the secondary lymphoid organs this area of B cell expansion is a
visible structure and termed the germinal centre (GC)61. As B cells divide, their receptor undergoes
somatic hypermutation (SHM); a mechanism whereby the IgH and IgL genes are hypermutated and

SHM occurs by two mechanisms: 1) DNA replication reads the uracil as a thymidine and pairs it with
an adenine which results in a C to T or G to A transition. This type of mutation only requires AID
activity68, 69. 2) Uracil is a pyrimidine normally found in RNA and the base excision repair system
will therefore attempt to correct the mistake by removing the uracil. This creates an abasic site in the
DNA strand. The removal of the uracil is executed by an enzyme called uracil N glycosylase
(UNG)70, 71. In the abasic site a random nucleotide may be inserted leading to both transitions (G:C
into A:T) and transversions (G:C into C:G)68. Ultimately, for both mechanisms it is the misreading of
a low fidelity polymerase that is responsible for the introduction of the point mutation72, 73. AID only
binds single stranded (ss) DNA and thus only functions on actively transcribed alleles where
transcription temporarily separates of the two DNA strands within the transcription bubble74 76.
Sequencing studies support this in that mutations only occur downstream of the VH gene promoter
suggesting the importance of this promoter for AID activity. It is hypothesized that AID is recruited

lines of its second paragraph, ringing statements of principle that have served ever since as the ideal to
which Americans aspire. We hold these truths to be self evident; That all men are created equal; that
they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty and

Should Gay Marriage Be Legalized In Australia Essay
Imagine if your love was a crime. Imagine if the world frowned upon it; deemed it illegal. We live in a
land of equality; is letting heterosexual couples but not homosexual couples get married equal?
Criminalizing gay marriage is a form of discrimination. Homosexual couples have just as much of a
right to pledge their love as straight couples do. Gay marriage should be legalized in Australia, and
there are several strong reasons why this has to occur.
It will foster acceptance of gay couples and individuals, as well as completely eliminating the negative
impact marriage inequality has on the health and wellbeing of same sex attracted people, and increase
the amount of children successfully adopted.

72% of Australians believe that same sex couples should be allowed to marry and 80% of Australian
same sex couples would marry if they had the choice. When the evidence and statistics speak this
clearly, what reason could there possibly be to criminalize homosexuality and the union of a couple?
There are no downsides, only benefits and equal opportunity.
Another reason gay marriage should be legalized in Australia is because it supports the psychological,
physical, and social wellbeing amongst homosexuals. Studies have found that people who identify as
homosexual face up to twice as much abuse (including physical, mental, sexual or emotional) than
their heterosexual counterparts. This prejudice and discrimination adds to biological, social,
environmental and psychological factors which can lead to depression and anxiety.

Rhetorical Devices In The Crisis No 1 Thomas Paine
In 1776, an important event was happening in the United States, the Revolutionary war. The thirteen
colonies wanted to break away from Britain s rule, however the chances of winning were very slim.
For this reason, 1/3 of the citizens were for a revolution, 1/3 of the citizens were against it, and 1/3 of
them were undecided. Thomas Paine realized that to become a free and independent nation, he would
need the help of every citizen in the colonies. Because of this he wrote The Crisis No. 1 to increase the

The Systems Development Life Cycle
Introduction:
The systems development life cycle (SDLC) is the process of determining how an information system
(IS) can support business needs, designing the system, building it, and delivering it to users [1]. There
are several approaches (models) to the SDLC but purpose of the each approach is the same. Each and
every process comprises of phases: Planning phase, Analysis phase, Design phase, Implementation
phase, and Maintenance phase. The Planning phase is phase related to the planning of the system such
as initial system request, feasibility analysis and project plan; Analysis phase is the phase which is
related to the analysis of the system, in this phase analysis such as requirement definition, use cases,

It also identifies the important risks associated with the project that must be managed if the project is
approved [1].
Example:
Now to go into further details of the feasibility, we have to define the types of feasibility. There are
three types of feasibility
Technical Feasibility It is the type of feasibility which deals with the technical specifications of the
system and verifies the project feasibility within the limits of current technology? Does the technology
exist at all? How complex is the system? These are the various aspects which are dealt in the technical
feasibility of the system [1].
Economic Feasibility It is the type of feasibility which deals with money related issues in the
company. This is also known as cost benefit analysis. This attempts to answer the question Should we
build the system? Economic feasibility is determined by identifying costs and benefits associated with
the system, assigning values to them, calculating future cash flows, and measuring the financial
worthiness of the project. As a result of this analysis, the financial opportunities and risks of the
project can be understood. These are the aspect which are dealt in economic feasibility [1].
Organizational Feasibility It is the type of feasibility which deals with how well the system ultimately
will be accepted by its users [1], how is the overall market for the system, is there any legal concern
about the system? [1]. The various organizational factors that can

Then the LORD said to Moses, Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have
made a covenant with you and with Israel. (Exodus 34:27). From the very beginning, covenants have
been the promises that eternally bond relationships. Biblical characters have demonstrated to us the
journey to becoming a person of covenant, as well as the hardships that come with it. Their developing
relationships with God still exhibit modern day covenants we are also cultivating with the Lord. After
examining David and Noah s covenants with God, I am realizing that my covenant relationship with
the Lord is like theirs in the sense that I often inconsiderately stray from God s path, but progressively

Starting off, King David tells his servant, Peter, that he wants to build a temple for God. He states,
Here I am, living in a house of cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent. (2 Sam 7:1). It is evident
that David has good intentions, but this is not the path that God intended! God knows David s
purposes, and tells Nathan the prophet, I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought the
Israelites up out of Egypt to this day... did I ever say to any of their rulers whom I commanded to
shepherd my people Israel, Why have you not built me a house of cedar? (2 Samuel 7:6 7). It is very
clear that David is not exactly where God wanted him to be. David thinks he is helping God by
building him a temple, but in reality, it is offending the Lord. God is the real king, not David, and it is
evident that the Lord want to be universal, not stationary in a temple. Although He has good aims,
David is not going in God s direction. This story is relatable, as I often do not pay attention to the
purposes God has for me, instead I focus on the ones I have for him. Similar to David, I sometimes
forget that the Lord desires to provide me with strength, and I cannot attempt to be inferior to Him.

Key Differences Between Sleep Apnea And Obstructive Sleep
The topic that I chose is very dear to me personally. A few years ago, the year before I came to
Southeastern, I began to have sleeping issues. I would stay awake for all hours of the evening and
would become restless. At first glance, I thought that I had sleep insomnia and in the mornings, even if
I got six to eight hours of sleep I would still wake up completely exhausted. It never mattered what I
was doing, even if I would take a nap, the end results were the same: complete exhaustion upon
waking up. After several months of this I began to complain to my parents and tell them that I felt that
something was wrong with my sleeping. They never believed me at the beginning. After the summer,

Sleep apnea is characterized in a similar manner to hypopnea, a lack of airflow and oxygen levels at
night whilst sleeping. However there are some key differences. Sleep hypopnea is a part of the
obstructive sleep apnea family, and therefore has to deal with any obstructions that occur in the
airways whilst sleeping (Phillips, 2015). Central sleep apnea, is another type of sleep apnea that can
occur in people. This apnea is very different from obstructive sleep apnea. This apnea is caused
because the brain temporarily fails to signal to the muscles that are in charge of controlled breathing.
Obstructive sleep apnea is referred to as a mechanical problem, whereas central sleep apnea is referred
to as a communication problem (Phillips, 2015). Central sleep apnea is much less common than
obstructive sleep apnea and it can be caused by medical conditions that affect the brainstem. The
symptoms of central sleep apnea are very similar to obstructive sleep apnea: stopping breathing or
irregular breathing during sleep, shortness of breath leading to awakenings, chronic fatigue, excessive
daytime drowsiness, morning headaches, poor/restless sleep, difficulty concentrating, mood changes,
and snoring (Phillips, 2015). The treatment for central sleep apnea is by using a CPAP machine or a
BPAP machine (which is very similar to a CPAP), certain medications have also been known to help
stimulate proper breathing whilst sleeping (Phillips, 2015). Finally, the last kind of sleep apnea that
can occur is complex sleep apnea. This type of sleep apnea is a mixture of obstructive sleep apnea and
central sleep apnea. Essentially, this type of apnea occurs because of slight obstruction and the brain
failing to properly inform the muscles to breathe (Phillip, 2015). BPAP machines and Adaptive servo
ventilators have shown successful use as the machines are capable of performing a

Buddhist Crisis
The Buddhist Crisis as a Turning Point in the Vietnam War
Anonymous
March 24, 2013
There were several events during the Vietnam War that can be considered turning points , which can
be described as the occurrence of an event that changed the course of history. One such event was the
Buddhist crisis in 1963. The Buddhists of South Vietnam had experienced decades of religious
persecution during French colonialism that continued with the Catholic government, which was
backed by the United States (Toong, 2008). The demonstrations, protests and self immolations that
followed as a result of this religious persecution and the media coverage it generated encouraged the

Diem s reaction to this event was denying responsibility and he put the blame on communists. Despite
repeated encouragement from the United States government to reconcile with the Buddhists, Diem
remained unyielding and asserted that there was no presence of religious persecution (Toong, 2008).
The height of the Buddhist crisis was reached when Thich Quang Duc ignited himself and burned to
death in as a protest in the street in front of a large crowd in Saigon (Moss, 2010). The appalling
images of the self immolation of Thich Quang Duc were spread throughout the world by international
media coverage. Demonstrations by the Buddhists and retaliation by the GVN continued to escalate to
a point where the United States could no longer support the Diem government, which despite financial
assistance that amounted to over $1,000,000 per day and the support of the American military, refused
to cooperate (Toong, 2008). Subsequently, and dependent on Diem s lack of response to pressure from
the United States regarding the Buddhist crisis, the Kennedy administration decided to participate in a
coup to overthrow him (Toong, 2008). The final straw was the pagoda raids on August 21 and Diem s
declaration of martial law with threats to shoot and kill Americans on the

The Tort Of Tort Law
Tort is defined as an act that is wrong, except for a breach of contract or trust in or an infringement of
a right. It may result in an injury to an individual or group of people, their assets and belongings,
status etc for which they are legally entitled for a compensation. The term negligence is the failure to
provide reasonable care, breach on duty of care resulting in damage or injury (What is tort 2013).
Therefore tort of negligence is a disruption of duty and responsibility or a failure of a party to
maintain standard of consideration required by law, resulting in harm, injury or damage suffered by
another party. Therefore the law of tort is simply used to compensate the loss or injury without

Eugene O Neill and the Influence of Relgion of His Work
As a child we are thrown into, with no say in it mind you, the religious views and beliefs of our
parents. Catholicism, Christianity, Muslim, Buddhism, etc., whatever it is that our parents were taught,
we are now taught by them. In this paper I will give a brief family history of Eugene and where their
faith lies as well as look at the effect religion had on him throughout his life and, of course, on all of
his work. Eugene s father, James O Neill, and his mother, Mary Ellen Quinlan (known as Ella) had
two very different backgrounds. James grew up Irish Catholic and came over to the States with his
family to escape the famine (Black pgs. 1 2) while Ella had a very wealthy and stable household.
Eugene also had to older siblings, Jamie and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Eugene studied Taoism, along with all the other religions of his interest, during the early 1920s, which
is commonly referred to as his Substitute God Search phase. Taoism revolves around the meaning of
Tao which translates to the way . All followers of Taoism understand that the Tao governs everything
that they do and everything that happens in the world (Washington State University website). The
books that I have mentioned in the previous two paragraphs were a part of Eugene s library and he had
several more on Taoism to boost his knowledge on the religion even further. A translation of Tao Te
Ching by James Legge and some of the Chuang Tzu, a Chinese philosopher known for his famous
story the butterfly dream , were found in his library. O Neill s study went much deeper into the
oriental religions because of his play Marco Millions, which just happened to be Eugene s one and
only play set in the far east. He and his third wife, Carlotta Monterey, went on a cruise to China in
1928 to further his research and knowledge of the Oriental culture but another reason behind this
could have been that Carlotta studied the Chinese and their culture avidly. She probably helped
Eugene in the layout of the setting for Marco Millions and she also owned numerous books on the
culture (poetry, painting, architecture, etc.,). Eugene and Carlotta shared so much passion

  • 2. Compare And ContrastThe Tragedy Of Julius Caesar And... The Stepping Stone of Murder Rarely in history has murder been viewed as righteous, but in the cases of Julius Caesar and Jean Paul Marat, it was praised rather than shunned. When diving into the stories of these two murders there are noticeable comparisons between Marc Antony in The Tragedy of Julius Caesar and Jacques Louis David, artist of The Death of Marat. Both presented their fallen friend in a better light and manipulated the masses to serve their side, using murder as a stepping stone to greater things. Upon their friend s murder, Marc Antony and Jacques Louis David attempted to present their friend in an appealing way that would improve their legacy, yet Marc Antony did so verbally and Jacques Louis David through artistry. In The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, after Brutus spoke plainly to the citizens of Rome, Antony slyly addressed them by choosing to remember Caesar as a great leader through a memorial that was based on a twisted truth. One tactic Antony used was to remind the crowd that [Antony] thrice presented [Caesar] a kingly crown,/ Which he did thrice refuse. Was this ambition?/ Yet Brutus says he was ambitious (Shakespeare III.ii.96 99). Through his words, Antony convinced the public of all that Caesar had done for them, while simultaneously undermining the conspirator s argument against Caesar s ambition. By disparaging the conspirators motives for murder and recognizing Caesar as a great man who only wanted to serve his people, Antony presented him in an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They re gods are powerful and impede with the lives of the humans. They have human emotions and problems. An example of this would be when Ishtar, the God of War and Love, tries to tempt Gilgamesh into having sex with him and he refused. As a result, she was offended and proceeded to seek revenge on him. Though the gods are powerful, they are a lot like the humans and in order for everything to work, the humans and gods have to work together. In some ways, the humans and gods are even similar. For example, they both share the common characteristic of fear. This was shown when the flood began and even the gods were terrified at the flood, they fled to the highest heaven...they crouched against walls, cowering like curs (Gilgamesh 110). This particular flood that occurred within The Epic of Gilgamesh relates to the flood of Noah and the Ark. This flood occurs because Noah s god, Yahweh, was enraged with the wickedness of humanity, therefore, sent a flood to destroy it. Though he sent the flood out of anger, he showed Noah and his family grace by not allowing them to experience the flood, thus, surviving. In the poem, Noah is best seen through Utnapishtim, a god Gilgamesh seeks for immorality because of his fear of death. • 5. Granting Equal Rights For Gay And Lesbians And Gay Rights hroughout mankind s history, gays and lesbians have become fairly known as another scapegoat to societies venomous opinions about accepting anything new or unfamiliar in order to balance out any negative baggage left behind by previous generations. In order to accept them for who they are, we must not abolish anymore given rights from them due to the misconception that homosexuality could break the mindset through fear and righteousness of Christ; that we must beat them down until eradicated from the planet. Restricting all equal rights to the LGBTQ community could threaten the pillar of society and eventually, the destruction of equal common grounds for everyone. Granting equal based rights and legal marriage rights under the authorized laws, must be expanded far enough to not only the common men and women, but as well for the gays and lesbians too on this planet. In consideration of what has been happening as of current, most cases are being that the LGBTQ community has been the reason that there has been a change with the sudden bump of the increased rate of children s being adopted from either the orphanages or foster homes. • 7. Silent Differences Between American And British English Essay Silent Differences in English that Divide American and British Spelling (Rough Draft) Guiding Question: What is the origin of and reasoning for different word endings that have no effect on pronunciation between American and British English? Does one go to the theater or does one go to the theatre? Are one s eyes the color blue or the colour blue? The answer to both of these questions will differ depending on where they are asked. In England, the answers will most likely appear as theatre and colour respectively. However, in America, the opposite answers would be given, but only if the questions were in written format. If these questions were posed verbally, the answers would appear the same and no difference would be discerned. Therefore, why is one considered correct and one considered incorrect if they are phonetically equivalent and why do such differences exist? The answer to these questions is rooted in the history of the language itself. Whether it is the French influence or the American Revolution, British and American English are products of their history and culture. The evolution of phonetically equivalent word endings in British and American English reflect political situations, language shifts, and foreign influences while evoking historical pride on both sides that carry the differences into present day. The move towards standardization of spelling for word endings can be seen in the seventeenth century. The fluidity of spelling was still prevalent as shown ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although they have only ever known Germany as home themselves, German natives see them differently because their family did not originate in Germany. This real world example attests to this country s previous outlook on immigration, sometimes even current outlook. There are many different factors that can contribute to the decision to migrate, and Germany has been a prime location for immigrants. Population, economics, political indicators, and cultural perspectives are some examples of these factors. Most immigrants choose Germany for the job opportunities, and arrive as guest workers. According to the Federal Office of Migration and Refugees, there are a few different circumstances one may be allowed to enter Germany as a guest worker. An example would be Family reunification . There are several indicators that explain why Germany is appealing to those looking to relocate, and these same indicators can drive migrants away from their homeland. • 9. Why Hamlet Needs To Die Hamlet s view of death morphs through the course of the play as he is faced with various problems and troubles that force him to deal with life differently. This holds particular significance for a modern audience who, unlike the predominately Christian audiences of Shakespeare s time, contains an assortment of perspectives on the subject. For the majority of the play, Hamlet yearns for death, but there are different tones to his yearning as he confronts death in different circumstances; from his encounter with his father s ghost to the discovery of his beloved Ophelia dead in the ground, Hamlet feels an irrepressible urge to end his life. There are obstacles that get in his way, both internal and external, and Shakespeare s play is an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By behaving provocatively (crazy) and exposing his uncle s perfidy, Hamlet hopes to drive his uncle murderous once again, so that he can kill him and die a hero. It is ironic that Hamlet uses retribution against his father s death as the means to reach his own death. His attitude toward the concept of death at this point is split; he behaves as though his father s death is a bad thing, yet he seems dead set (pardon the pun) on bringing on his own death through his bizarre and provocative antics. Hamlet s antics climax with the visiting players putting on a performance of The Murder of Gonzago, which Hamlet designs in order to catch the conscience of the king (2.2.610). Unfortunately, it succeeds too well, and Hamlet finds his uncle alone and penitent, and thus unfit to send to Hell. This seems a peculiar deviation from the Hamlet earlier in the play who abides by the Christian code against suicide; in desiring not only his uncle s death, but his damnation as well, Hamlet takes on a decidedly evil and soulless countenance. One might argue that it is his father s ghost who imbues this diabolical edge to Hamlet, that Hamlet s face to face experience with the grave has tainted his spirit (Gottschalk 156). Or, one might also reason that Hamlet s continual fixation on death, suicide, the dark and morbid ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the story the Ramayana majority of the Ramayana s view Sita as the wife who follows her husband when he is exiled for fourteen years who upholds her chastity when she is abducted by the Rakshasa king Ravana who goes through the ring of fire to prove her chastity (Anand). During the tenure of the abduction even after passing all these tests quietly, leaves her husband Rama who is the ideal man. When an ordinary washer man from his kingdom tells Rama about Sita of the doubts of her character forcing him to leave her. Despite the culture that these people live in an Indian society Valmiki s Ramayana is one of those stories that compares women as creatures rather than humans as men use to treat woman as property. In the Ramayana culture they expect the wife the woman to be a virtue a figure assigning no reciprocal duties to the husband. In the sense the wife is nothing more than just a piece of property to her husband. The Ramayana also depicted the love and care of Lord Rama for his wife and the obstacles he willingly faced to save her from the clutches of Ravana but over the years these acts have failed to acquire the status of obligations for a husband and have been reduced to insignificant details of the great text (Anand). The impact of the lack of clean water can be seen in countries such as Cambodia, Ethiopia, and India. The trash in villages of Cambodia seeps into the standing water and releases toxins in the ground which enters into the water. The lack of clean water has Cambodian children exposed to diseases. While in Ethiopia, an examination shows that fifty one percent of the populations drinking water in the rural area is unimproved. To better understand more about access to clean water, it s necessary to take a look at India. Twenty one percent of India s diseases are water related and when a water system is installed, it adds to the overall development of water. Access to clean, sustainable water is needed for survival; in countries such as Cambodia, Ethiopia, and India, this is difficult. Cambodia, a country in southeast Asia, is situated on a peninsula on the Gulf of Thailand. It gets most of its water during the rainy season from the monsoons. An examination from the CIA studies of Cambodia reveals that its climate is very tropical with a rainy, monsoon season. This suggests that much of Cambodia s water is from its heavy monsoons. This is vital because this is where most of the water comes from in Cambodia and needs to be kept clean. These are central questions in the field of business ethics. There are two approaches to answering such questions. The first one is Milton Friedman s shareholder theory of management and the second one is Edwards Freeman s Stakeholder theory of management, two different views about the purpose and aims of a business. In my opinion I believe that both theories have their own advantages and disadvantages and every business has to follow a theory that complies with its goal, when in my case I would rather follow the theory of Freeman in one extend. Friedman s position we can see it as a theory for short term investment and businesses, while Freeman s theory targets businesses that are planning to stay for a longer term. Also I believe that Friedman s theory affects society in an inefficient way when costs are not really paid, as for example pollution, traffic congestion, no taxes, and poorly educated workforce. Another problem with Friedman s position is that it assumes that forces of competition are sufficiently vigorous, but they are not. COVERAGE DRIVEN VIP FOR AVALON MEMORY MAPPED INTERFACE USING UVM Abstract: The verification phase carries an important role in design cycle of a System on Chip (SoC). A verification environment may be prepared using SystemVerilog without using any particular methodology but that will be different for every variation of the design. The UVM testbench increases robustness of functional verification, and allows you to create flexible, adaptable, scalable testbenches. It offers quantifiable, measurable progress, and changing test sequences can be used to easily increase code coverage. This project describes the use of coverage driven verification for Avalon Memory Mapped Interface VIP using UVM methodology. The Avalon bus is a simple bus architecture which makes the connection between on chip processors and peripherals together into a SOPC. It is an interface that specifies the port connections between master and slave components, and also specifies the timing by which these components communicate. Avalon Memory Mapped (Avalon MM) interfaces can be used to implement read and write interfaces for master and slave components. In this work all components of testbench has been created to make a VIP. The coverage collected on mm_cvgrp is 91.6%. The environment used random stimulus which helps in regression to create different scenarios. SHM occurs by two mechanisms: 1) DNA replication reads the uracil as a thymidine and pairs it with an adenine which results in a C to T or G to A transition. This type of mutation only requires AID activity68, 69. 2) Uracil is a pyrimidine normally found in RNA and the base excision repair system will therefore attempt to correct the mistake by removing the uracil. This creates an abasic site in the DNA strand. The removal of the uracil is executed by an enzyme called uracil N glycosylase (UNG)70, 71. In the abasic site a random nucleotide may be inserted leading to both transitions (G:C into A:T) and transversions (G:C into C:G)68. Ultimately, for both mechanisms it is the misreading of a low fidelity polymerase that is responsible for the introduction of the point mutation72, 73. AID only binds single stranded (ss) DNA and thus only functions on actively transcribed alleles where transcription temporarily separates of the two DNA strands within the transcription bubble74 76. Sequencing studies support this in that mutations only occur downstream of the VH gene promoter suggesting the importance of this promoter for AID activity. • 30. David And Noah Research Paper Then the LORD said to Moses, Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel. (Exodus 34:27). From the very beginning, covenants have been the promises that eternally bond relationships. Biblical characters have demonstrated to us the journey to becoming a person of covenant, as well as the hardships that come with it. Their developing relationships with God still exhibit modern day covenants we are also cultivating with the Lord. After examining David and Noah s covenants with God, I am realizing that my covenant relationship with the Lord is like theirs in the sense that I often inconsiderately stray from God s path, but progressively become more on track as God further motivates me. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Starting off, King David tells his servant, Peter, that he wants to build a temple for God. He states, Here I am, living in a house of cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent. (2 Sam 7:1). It is evident that David has good intentions, but this is not the path that God intended! God knows David s purposes, and tells Nathan the prophet, I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought the Israelites up out of Egypt to this day... did I ever say to any of their rulers whom I commanded to shepherd my people Israel, Why have you not built me a house of cedar? (2 Samuel 7:6 7). It is very clear that David is not exactly where God wanted him to be. David thinks he is helping God by building him a temple, but in reality, it is offending the Lord. God is the real king, not David, and it is evident that the Lord want to be universal, not stationary in a temple. Although He has good aims, David is not going in God s direction. This story is relatable, as I often do not pay attention to the purposes God has for me, instead I focus on the ones I have for him. Similar to David, I sometimes forget that the Lord desires to provide me with strength, and I cannot attempt to be inferior to Him. When God has ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. Key Differences Between Sleep Apnea And Obstructive Sleep The topic that I chose is very dear to me personally. A few years ago, the year before I came to Southeastern, I began to have sleeping issues. I would stay awake for all hours of the evening and would become restless. At first glance, I thought that I had sleep insomnia and in the mornings, even if I got six to eight hours of sleep I would still wake up completely exhausted. It never mattered what I was doing, even if I would take a nap, the end results were the same: complete exhaustion upon waking up. After several months of this I began to complain to my parents and tell them that I felt that something was wrong with my sleeping. They never believed me at the beginning. After the summer, they still were unable to do much about my sleeping ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sleep apnea is characterized in a similar manner to hypopnea, a lack of airflow and oxygen levels at night whilst sleeping. However there are some key differences. Sleep hypopnea is a part of the obstructive sleep apnea family, and therefore has to deal with any obstructions that occur in the airways whilst sleeping (Phillips, 2015). Central sleep apnea, is another type of sleep apnea that can occur in people. This apnea is very different from obstructive sleep apnea. This apnea is caused because the brain temporarily fails to signal to the muscles that are in charge of controlled breathing. Obstructive sleep apnea is referred to as a mechanical problem, whereas central sleep apnea is referred to as a communication problem (Phillips, 2015). Central sleep apnea is much less common than obstructive sleep apnea and it can be caused by medical conditions that affect the brainstem. The symptoms of central sleep apnea are very similar to obstructive sleep apnea: stopping breathing or irregular breathing during sleep, shortness of breath leading to awakenings, chronic fatigue, excessive daytime drowsiness, morning headaches, poor/restless sleep, difficulty concentrating, mood changes, and snoring (Phillips, 2015). The treatment for central sleep apnea is by using a CPAP machine or a BPAP machine (which is very similar to a CPAP), certain medications have also been known to help stimulate proper breathing whilst sleeping (Phillips, 2015). Finally, the last kind of sleep apnea that can occur is complex sleep apnea. This type of sleep apnea is a mixture of obstructive sleep apnea and central sleep apnea. Essentially, this type of apnea occurs because of slight obstruction and the brain failing to properly inform the muscles to breathe (Phillip, 2015). BPAP machines and Adaptive servo ventilators have shown successful use as the machines are capable of performing a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 33. Buddhist Crisis The Buddhist Crisis as a Turning Point in the Vietnam War Anonymous March 24, 2013 There were several events during the Vietnam War that can be considered turning points , which can be described as the occurrence of an event that changed the course of history. One such event was the Buddhist crisis in 1963. The Buddhists of South Vietnam had experienced decades of religious persecution during French colonialism that continued with the Catholic government, which was backed by the United States (Toong, 2008). The demonstrations, protests and self immolations that followed as a result of this religious persecution and the media coverage it generated encouraged the Kennedy administration to back a coup d état against Ngo ... Despite repeated encouragement from the United States government to reconcile with the Buddhists, Diem remained unyielding and asserted that there was no presence of religious persecution (Toong, 2008). The height of the Buddhist crisis was reached when Thich Quang Duc ignited himself and burned to death in as a protest in the street in front of a large crowd in Saigon (Moss, 2010). The appalling images of the self immolation of Thich Quang Duc were spread throughout the world by international media coverage. Demonstrations by the Buddhists and retaliation by the GVN continued to escalate to a point where the United States could no longer support the Diem government, which despite financial assistance that amounted to over $1,000,000 per day and the support of the American military, refused to cooperate (Toong, 2008). Subsequently, and dependent on Diem s lack of response to pressure from the United States regarding the Buddhist crisis, the Kennedy administration decided to participate in a coup to overthrow him (Toong, 2008). The final straw was the pagoda raids on August 21 and Diem s declaration of martial law with threats to shoot and kill Americans on the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The employer failed to provide safety goggles to workers involved in such activity at work. The court later on issued that the defendant was responsible for the claimant s blindness since he was not provided with adequate protection and safety at his work. Safety goggles are not expensive to invest in and the significance of injury to him would have been bigger than that experienced by staffs having sight in both the eyes. When taken into the account on the dimensions of the cricket field it was evident that the cricket field had a 7 foot fence enclosed all around. The actual height of the fence was 17 feet above the cricket pitch as the pitch itself was under ten feet below the ground. The distance between the sticker and the fence was roughly 78 yards and Miss Stone was standing under 100 yards from where the ball was hit. It was a mandatory retreat to get to know our new peer mentor partners, who we would work with once a month for the next year. 23 Birch Ridge Road, Hardwick, NJ was the destination. Camp Mason was the place that we d spend our next two days on Mother s Day weekend. The retreat has changed my life and I am better because it allowed me to realize that nothing is ever as bad as I think it is and it can always be worse. As we settled in on the campground that was filled with puddles and puddles of water all over the ground, we all realized that we had a long weekend ahead of us. We dropped all of our suitcases off in the cabins and proceeded on to the main lodge, with no expectations for what was next. The instructors split us up into two groups and then it began. Luckily, my friends Michael, Justin, and Rupak were in my group with me. It started off with an ice breaker activity before, which consisted of everyone trudging around the room, hoping that the activity would soon be over. Once it finally ended, everyone prayed that the next activity would be at least slightly better. We started to walk out, but before we could leave we passed by another one of the groups. As expected, everyone tried to procrastinate for as long as possible, discussing how terribly their days started. We talked for as long as we could before the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
