4. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
The purpose of this study was to
investigate the ANALYSIS OF SELCTED
PHYSICAL FITNESS LEVEL AMONG THREE
DIFFERENT TYPE OF BATSMAN IN CRICKET
5. METHODOLOGY
Subjects
48 subjects Inter-Collegiate Cricket
players
Random selection from various college
affiliated to MKU
Age – 18 to 25 years
Past experience of at least 3 years in
Cricket those who represented college
teams once
6. Group –I
Top order batsman
(Batting position No.1 to 4)
Group –II Middle order batsman
(batting position 4 to 7)
Group –III Low order / tail end batsman
(o. 8 to 10)
CLASSIFICATIONS OF GROUPS
In this study, groups were classified into three. They are as follows.

11. CONCLUSIONS
1. The results of the study reveal that there was
a significant difference among three
different types of batsman in cricket.
2. The middle order and tail end batsman were
better than the top order batsman in all
selected physical fitness variables.
