How i created my contents page
I used Adobe Photoshop to create my contents page as the page was very image dominated. I first placed the main image, then added the main title, date, and issue number. I created red and grey rectangles to separate text into categories like "On the Cover" and "In this issue". I made page numbers bold to distinguish them from body text. Finally, I added the front cover image with page number "1" in a red circle in the bottom corner along with the website address.

My EPQ project was to create illustrations based on the wants and needs of my target audience of primary school children aged 7-9. Through research and experimenting with different artistic techniques like watercolors, acrylic paint, pen, collage, and pop-ups, I determined that acrylic paint worked best to produce illustrations with high detail and tonal value that would appeal to my audience. I conducted a workshop where the children enjoyed illustrations with humanized animals, strong texture and detail, and realistic colors. My final product was acrylic paintings that met the wants of my target audience. I learned skills in referencing, time management, and working with different artistic styles and techniques through completing this project.

Making of the double page spread

Representation

- 4. The second page of text didn’t fill the full page, so I added a quote, and another picture to the page to make it all fit.
- 5. Added photos to the side of the first page of writing. Added page number on the bottom- helps to navigate the reader through the magazine/article.
- 6. Again, you can see here the text didn’t fill the full page, so added some more text to the end of the article; a competition to win a holiday to Disneyland Paris. Page number has also been added.

E.g. I will write “Space Mountain: Mission 2, found in Discoveryland” underneath the photo of the ride.
