The first step was to change the colour of the background page to a creamy colour by using the colour option on the right hand corner, I did this because I thought it would be a subtle change from a boring white background. After I had got the right colour I wanted I needed to add in my main heading with its own original feel to it with the ‘V’, I did this using the text tool and the rotate option. The font I used for the ‘contents’ text is called ‘impact’ and for the ‘V’ I used ‘Euclid’.
- 3. After adding in the titles and getting them in the right positions I imported the images I had chosen for the contents and put white borders around them using the border tool at the top of the menu, I did this because it separated the images from each other, by still having them overlapping.
- 4. I then added in the tabs by inserting the text tool again and creating a black box around the titles so that they stand out from the rest of the text I will insert later on in the process, I did this by filling the text box in black. I then changed the colour of the font to the same creamy colour of the background like I did with the ‘contents’ heading. The font I used was ‘Britannic Bold’.
- 5. The next step was adding in the page numbers and article topics underneath the suitable tab. Once again I used the text tool for this feature. I increased the size of the numbers so that they stood out slightly more over the writing. The font I used for the writing is called ‘Adobe Casion Pro’ I used this font because it was simple but not boring and ordinary.
- 6. And finally I added the finishing touches including the date and the issue number on the top right hand side below the masthead like on the front page. Also the website address for the magazine and finally the captions for the images to tell you what they are about and what page you can find the stories on.
