This document discusses a multi-jurisdictional approach between 5 Canadian education systems to share access and management of digital learning resources using the Equella system. It would allow students and educators to search multiple repositories with a single search, access resources anytime, and manage digital rights and copyright. The roles of organizations like AXIA, Pearson, and Alberta Education are described. The focus is on professional development, a functioning technical solution, collaborative purchasing and sharing of resources, and building collaborative frameworks between the jurisdictions. The approach aims to address challenges around digital resource accessibility, leverage existing infrastructure, and empower students and teachers.
