FIRE RESISTANT CONVEYOR BELT
Fire resistant belts are usually used in underground
mines and thermal power plants where there are
chances of fire. These Belts are formulated in such a way
that even if the Belt catches fire , the flame should get
extinguish in stipulated time as mentioned in
standards. Drum Friction test , Flame Test and
Electrical surface resistance test are some of the
additional tests done to ensure the flame resistance of
the Belts.

16. PRODUCTS
OIL RESISTANT CONVEYOR BELT
The General purpose Belts , if comes in contact with any
oily materials tends to swell because of the hydrocarbon
content in the rubber and the oil adsorbs the same. The
swelling of the rubber leads to reverse troughing of the
belts. In order to avoid the swelling of rubber , Oil
resistant belts are manufactured with Nitrile rubber
which has got the special characteristics of Oil
Resistance.
Product features:
Oil resistant belt carries parts and components
coated with machine oil, heavy-oil treated coal in
cooking plants and electric power generating
plants, soybean draff, fish meat and other oily
materials. Materials containing non-polar organic
solvents and fuel.
The belt compounded of oil resistant synthetic
rubber has good resistance to the damaging effects
encountered when conveying oil contaminated or
treated materials.
Oil resistant conveyor belt can be divided into
two types according to cover properties: Anti-
abrasive type(D) and Ordinary type(L).
