The word “Flex” comes from “Multi-Flexing”, Heshan Brand Multi-Flexing conveyor is an automatic conveying system which is composed by Aluminum Alloy or SUS shaped beam, Elbow, Driven Unit and POM plastic chain plate. These multi flexing conveyor systems use plastic link in many configurations such as X45, X65, X85, X105 and X180 etc. The design of the link achieved the consequent of multi-layer, multi-angles and multi-curves, the width of conveyor can be minimize to 150mm in radius to save space, it use photoelectric sensor or mechanical stopper flexibly converge or diverting materials. The multi flexing conveyor system is suitable for a wide range of automated conveying operations, such as food, electronic, mechanical spares, daily commodities and pharmaceutical etc.

Multi-Flexing: Selecting the Right Chain Material
The base link parts of the chain have the same shape and the same technical properties. Five different
materials are used. The standard material is acetalresin(POM). Two different types of acetalresin are used:
POM A: Acetalresin with silicone additive
POM B: Acetalresin ,silicone free

Working Principle and Structure
Roller conveyor (or called spiral pipe conveyor) is a new type of conveying equipment, used for conveying the material by horizontal. Its working principle is in the cylinder roller body is welded with continuous spiral blades, after the material is lifted by the effecting from the rotation of rollers and friction force between material and rollers, and under the action of material’s gravity, the material is scroll down along the screw blade surface and doing the axial movement. Central inlet device is composing of Up and down fixed shell
and curved blade feed plate which is installed on the roller and
rotating along with the roller. Since the material comes from the
shell side inlet, imported the material to the roller by rotating
feed plate and conveying the material. The end of the central
inlet is equipped with the valve, input quantity to be controlled.
Due to the guide vane of the inlet is made to arc-shaped, so
when the inlet valve of the central inlet is closed and stop to
feed, the material cannot be overflow from the inlet, what is
conveying in the roller, thus the central inlet only can be the
inlet and cannot be the outlet.
Central outlet device, not only including the fixed shell, and
there are two relative arc-shaped door on the roller, which
3. rotating along with roller. There is a rotating shaft leads from
the door, it’s for operation on the outside of the shell. And there
is a fixed positioning device, can be selected outlet for
discharging optionally.
Characteristics
Conveying length of roller conveyor (means the center distance
between inlet and outlet of both ends.) Usually, it’s in 3-40m,
each 0.5m cab be selected optionally, the complete machine is
comprised of piecewise rollers. Gyro wheel was set up between
rollers and connecting flange, bottom of gyro wheel there is the
riding wheel for bearing the rotation, and to be the drive by gear
reducer motor on the end (end of inlet or outlet)
The riding wheel is composed of base, frame, wheel shaft, the
wheel and rolling bearing. After heat treatment, the surface
hardness of wheel excircle is high and improves the wear
resistance. There is oil groove under the frame, it’s for
lubricating the wheel, when is conveying the materials in high
temperature, the rolling bearing should be adopted the high
temperature lubricating grease, such as molybdenum disulphide
grease. On both ends of the base, there installed the adjusting
bolt, as moving the wheel for adjust the up and down or left and
right deviation of the roller. When the conveying material with
high temperature or roller is long, it’s must be used the wheel
with an extended pressure surface, so that can be meet the
request of bigger telescopic scope.
Range of Application
The roller conveyor has the following characteristics:
1)Compact structure, easy operation.
2)Good leakproofness due to the conveying is closed, thus can
avoid dust pollution, to improve the working condition.
3)Can be conveying material in high temperature, because there
is no bearing with oil lubrication and characteristics of roller is
can be Axial expansing.
4)During the roller is running process, due to its rotating is on
the wheel which is installed rolling bearing, in the meantime the
material is move forward with drop condition by its own weight,
4. and the spirochete in the roller is continuous blade, no hinder of
intermediate bearing, thus resistance is small during conveying
process. Power consumption is about 50% less than other type
of conveyor, it’s a good energy saving transportation
equipment.
5)Due to the material is rolling along with the material surface
during conveying, there is less sliding happened with roller and
inner spiral blade, thus it’s less abrasion to roller and spiral
blade, long using time and low maintenance cost.
6)Can be realize variety process as conveying, stirring, mixing
etc. in the meanwhile.
7)Can be more feeding and more output.
8)When feeding at the end, it can adapt to the uneven feeding
requirements, and there will not jam happened if feeding
material is too much.
Due to the characteristics of roller conveyor as above
mentioned, therefore, there is a wide range for adapt conveyed
material, not only can transport powder, granular, block and
fluid materials, also has good adaptability for high temperature,
uneven feeding, and requirement of shatterproof, pollution
prevention and more feeding and more output. So the roller
conveyor is widely used in building material, chemical, mining
and metallurgy, electric power, food and other industrial
sectors. Practice has proved that it has obtained good effect in
transport of material as cement clinker, dried limestone, rock
phosphate, ilmenite powder, coal, slag etc.The roller conveyor
is not adapt to transport the wet powder with stickiness or high
moisture and difficult to flow, because the roller conveyor is
depend on the material will move forward with drop condition
by its own weight. The particle size of material comes from the
inlet in end cannot bigger than 1/4 screw diameter; The particle
size of material comes from the middle inlet cannot bigger than
30mm; In order to avoid the roller will be deformation by high
temperature, have to control the temperature of feeding material
must be controlled under 300℃.
Mesh Conveyor
5. Mesh Conveyor has two series: Modular plastic belt conveyor
and Metal mesh conveyor. The modular plastic belt conveyor
can be assembling into any length and width according to users'
needs, it is similar to Modular construction, which is capable
for connecting and reconnect various modules.
Belt Conveyor
The belt conveyor is continuity conveying device driven by
friction driver. It composed by frame, carrier roller and
transmission device etc.
Types and application range
Belt conveyor is a transportation equipment to be widely used
in sectors of chemical, coal, metallurgy, mining, building
materials, electric power, light industry, food, traffic and
transportation etc. it’s suitable for conveying various bulk
material such as granular, powder which loose density is in
0.5-2.5t/m3,and pieces of goods also.
Selection of belt speed
1) Should be selected a higher belt speed when it’s a bigger
conveying capacity and wider conveyor belt.
2) Should be selected a higher belt speed when it’s a longer
horizontal conveyor; when the conveyor angle is larger,
transmission distance is shorter, then the belt speed should be
lower.
3) If the material is easy to scroll, big granularity, strong
rubbed, or easy to dust and high demand for environmental
health conditions, then to select the lower belt speed will be
better.
4) Commonly, if used in feeding or conveying the material with
large dust, the belt speed can used 0.8-1m/s, or decision
according the characteristics of material and process
requirement.
5) The belt speed should not be more than 1.25m/s. When the
weighing and burdening is by manpower.
6) The belt speed should not be more than 2.0m/s when the plow
discharger is used.
7) The belt speed should not be more than 2.5m/s when the
6. discharging car is used, and when it’s conveying the material
after fine grinding or small pieces, the belt speed can be 3.15
m/s.
8)The belt speed should be commensurate with the requirements
of automatic quantities’ scale when there is MWBL.
9)Commonly, the belt speed should be less than1.25m/s.when
it’s conveying pieces of goods
Selection of conveyor belt
The belt used in the belt conveyor there is rubber belt, plastic
belt, steel belt, metal mesh belt and so on, the commonly one is
rubber belt. There are many kinds of rubber belt such as cotton
core, synthetic fiber core, steel cable core etc. There is layer
core and full core difference for the plastic conveyor. The
various core materials and different cover gum can be made up
to various kinds of smooth or patterned conveyor belt.
Vertical Srew Conveyor
Conveying principle and characteristics
Vertical screw conveyor(also called vertical spiral conveyor or
auger), the structure principle is as follows: In picture 15-21,
the feeding of the vertical screw conveyor is for mandatory
feeding, when its running, screw 2,4 to be doing the rotary
motion. The conveying material will be entering from horizontal
feeding inlet 1, goes through the running horizontal feeding
screw 2 and to be conveyed to the vertical part, then to be push
up to the outlet 6 for discharge by vertical screw 4.In picture
15-22, the feeding of vertical screw conveyor is for Auto-flow
type, when the conveyor is working, screw 2 to be doing rotary
motion, the material to be entered from inlet 1, and to be push
up to the outlet 4 for discharge by vertical screw 2.
When the vertical screw doing the rotary with angular velocity
ω, the object m as the mass upon surface of the screw blade will
be follow the rotation. Meanwhile there is the centrifugal force
on objects F=mrω2, the object under the action of centrifugal
force F, there will be three possibilities as below:
1)When centrifugal force is less than the friction between the
7. screw surface and object, the object will always be rotary along
with the screw; will not close up the shell, thus impossible to be
push up.
2)When centrifugal force is more than the friction between the
screw surface and object, the object will close up the shell. But
when the friction between object and shell is not enough to
overcome the friction between object and surface of screw
blade, and cannot overcome the component force, which is
caused by its own weight and down along the surface of screw,
then object will always be rotary along with the screw too, and
impossible to be push up also;
3)When the friction between object and shell is greater than
the friction between object and surface of screw, and the
component force caused by its own weight and down along the
surface of screw too, object will slide with screw surface and
rising along the opposite direction of the spiral trajectory,
means that object to be push up by vertical part of screw, thus
to achieve the vertical transportation.
Therefore the revolving speed of vertical screw shaft must be
higher than a value which is the objects can be push up (called
critical speed), otherwise, the conveying operation cannot
proceed, it’s the main characteristic of the vertical screw
conveyor.
Feeding of vertical screw conveyor must keep the necessary
pressure, when a lesser difference for feeding, vertical screw
conveyor is all equipped with horizontal screw feeding.
Generally, the horizontal feeding screw and the vertical screw
will be combining to be 1 completed conveyor, the diameter of
the horizontal feeding screw is same as the vertical screw, and
the RPM of horizontal screw is lower than the vertical screw.
The advantage of the vertical screw conveyor is: Simple
structure, Small spatial location, Easy for airtight
transportation, cost is lower. Its disadvantages are: small
capacity, conveying height is lower (Normally less than 8M).
Application range
1)Vertical screw conveyor is suitable for conveying various
8. powdery and granular materials, such as carbon black, flour,
cement, sand, grain and renewable rubber powder, etc.
2)Vertical screw conveyor is not suitable for conveying the
materials what is easy to perishable or high viscosity,
agglomerate ,corrosive.
3)Range of working temperature is within -20~50,
temperature of the conveying material should be lower than
200℃.
