Evaluation contents page
My media product uses some conventions of a real magazine contents page but also challenges some conventions. It is similar to a professional magazine in having the title at the top, two columns separating articles, and page numbers. However, it has a plain white background, smaller images, and lacks an issue date or large cover image. It also includes competitions and subscriptions at the bottom, which is unconventional. While the organization and navigation aids make it functional, the plain presentation could be improved with more varied fonts, colors, and filling empty space.

My music video will take place solely indoors at my house, which has several large rooms that provide open space and access to electrical outlets for lighting equipment. The song was selected due to its genre and style fitting the romantic and dream-like ideas already compiled. However, the song's length of 4 minutes and 11 seconds is rather long, so it will be edited down to around 3 minutes and 50 seconds to create enough interesting content to fill the time frame, which can be done due to the instrumental nature of the song.

- 1. Contents Page Article List Formatting Amendments A small series of changes made to the article lists on the contents page to increase the level of professionalism through accents as codes.
- 2. This is the formatting of my article lists according to my original design, however I did not really feel that the change of font colour to distinguish folios from article headings aided this enough- they felt too similar to be placed adjacently. In attempt to fix this, I revisited real media products to base ideas from. I saw that many contents pages used vertical lines as divides between page folios and article titles, and I decided this would be the change I would implement- it is subtle, and does not detract from the layout, yet it separated in the way I was aiming for.
- 3. This was the first instance where the I began making this change, I felt that this really improved the look of the whole list, and in such a small yet significant way. I decided to go ahead with this set of changes.
- 4. This is the final look of the page with each list amended, I feel very happy with this set of changes, and the signified level of professionalism they have brought.
