Front cover My magazine cover was successful in terms of conforming to the drawn plans which I created and did not differ in terms of the final outcome, the plans outlined where each element of the page would go, and I have followed this as a guide throughout, I have placed the image, the sub-articles, main title and barcode which can be seen clearly drawn out on the plans, I have executed the plan effectively . I believe the drawn out plans did not require any major changes, this is because it was positioned and located in appropriate places, it followed the conventions of existing magazines. The only minor tweak which was slightly different is the “katrina kaif” was written in smaller letters, I decided to expand this to a larger size, as this would make it clearer for the viewer and make the front cover stand out even more. I did not need to make any other adjustments to my front cover, as all the elements on the drawn out plans where pretty much exact

As you can see the title is positioned centrally at the top of the page, as this was my original plans The barcode required slightly changing as it was a bit up the page and I adjusted by moving it down The sub-articles on both sides of the page are also according to my original plans, this was I expected it to be I wanted to make the model the main focus and I believe I am successful in doing so as the sub-articles are either aligned to the left or the right
- 4. Contents page I will comment on the contents page and whether my final outcome differed from my original hand drawn plans. The element which was different was the actual ‘contents’ title, originally I located it in the middle as I thought it would be more clearer to see, however on second thoughts I changed it and placed it aligned to the left,this was mainly because it looked more attractive when it was placed on the left. Apart from this element, I stuck to the original plans which I had created by placing the features on the left hand side of the page, as well as whats in the magazine, to make the contents page I also added an image which I situated on the top right hand side of the page, this again is found in the original plans, I also placed ‘Lomattic special’ on the right hand bottom corner to ensure that the content page has been used effectively.

As you can see I have placed the ‘contents title towards the left of the page The featuring articles and numbers where according to my drawn plans, so I did not change or add anything Lomattic special is placed in the bottom corner and has a black box which makes it look consistent and professional
- 6. Double page spread I will now talk about the how I went about developing my double page spread, the first component which differed from my original plans was the quote which I ended up locating it in the left hand page, at first I thought it would look more appropriate in the bottom corner, however this element has to stand out as it is an inspirational quote, within my plans I had the right hand side which consisted of an image, this element was originally in my drawn plans so I did not need to change this, I wanted the image to fill one whole page because I wanted the viewers to be inspired and reflect on the models career, the interview is another element which I decided to input into my double page spread, but the red and black combination was not in my original plans, so I added to make sure that the viewer does not get confused on which is the question and the answer.

As you can see I have located the quote centrally on the left hand side of the page, this ensures that it can be seen easily The interview itself is written in two different colours, this separates them from the question and answer The main image takes up the space on the right hand side of the page, this was the original plans.
