2. The title is extremely noticeable as it is big
and bold. The white colour against the black
background stands out and immediately, the
readers is able to notice what the page is
about. I must consider this when making my
own as I believe that this is an important
convention to include. In addition, the
“Contents” is split into three part which
makes It effective as it is modernised and
unique. This links to the genre of the
magazine which is Hip-Hop as something
new is always in trend.
The contents page only has two sections
which is split into two sections “features”
and “fashion” this makes the page fairly
simple but sophisticated due to the bold
italics.
The main image of a well known
RnB/Hip-Hop artist Ciara reinforces
that the magazine is also includes
fashion as she is wearing lilac heels ,
jewellery and nude/beige clothing.
Her clothing matches the simplicy of
the page. Also, the positioning of the
artist promotes self confidence as she
seems to be confident and
comfortable with herself.
The “V” which is an
iconography used to represent
the magazines name is also
used in every contents page.

and the date . Also, the place and the
day the picture was taken perhaps,

The artist is topless so that his
tattoos can be shown in order to
indicate to the audience that a
huge characteristic of a hip hop
artist is tattos.This conforms to
the stereotype
The title “content” is
written on different levels
to show that the
magazine is unique. The
use of white in the text is
in contrast to the
background colors.
This will make the title
stand out as the brighter
colour is more attractive.
The word “feature” is written
in serif writing in order for the
title to stand out so that the
readers can follow.
The subheadings are in bold so
that the readers can follow and it
makes it more readable. This will
make it easier for the readers
and they wont get annoyed with
the information.
The background colors is dark
red and it is in low key
lighting which makes the
model stand out as all the
spotlight is on him because
the exposure of lighting is
higher than the background.
Also, the background colour
connotes to danger as the
model seems to be a caution
because he has tattoos and
gold heavy chains around his
neck.
There is an issue number and a “vibe” logo at
the top right corner, it makes the readers aware
of the brand
