A 41-year-old male presented with a right wrist injury following a motorcycle accident. Radiographs showed a distal radius fracture, specifically a volar Barton's fracture. Due to the patient's young age and active lifestyle, the treatment plan was to perform an open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) with plate and screws to achieve anatomic reduction and minimize long-term complications like arthritis. Pre-operatively, the fracture was reduced closed and immobilized with a short arm cast in preparation for definitive surgical fixation.
