familiarize the team with the park’s or
site’s mission, discuss current issues,
identify problems and potential
resolutions and discuss concepts for
new activities and facilities.

will be analyzed by the team to formulate
draft CDP
 at least two alternative plans will be

alternative plans , seek public input and
reach consensus on a preferred plan

to resolve conflicts and deal with
comments received at the public

preferred draft plan will be developed

11. Preferred Plan Presented to Central
Office Staff
 draft plan will be presented by the
planning team to the division’s central
office staff for their review and input
 a two week review period will be
initiated after the presentation
 revisions will be made as needed

12. PUBLIC MEETING #3 or OPEN
HOUSE
 third public meeting or open house , will
be held to present the final draft plan
 refinement s to the draft CDP will be
made if necessary

13. PLAN APPROVAL BY DIVISION
DIRECTOR
 the draft CDP will be taken to the
Division of State Parks Director to final
resolution and approval
Plan will be signed by facility manager ,
district supervisor, Planning and
Development Program Director and the
division director

14. PLAN IMPLEMENTATION
 upon approval of the CDP , capital
improvement projects needed to implement
the plan will be identified
 phasing plan will be developed from the
identified projects to provide an orderly
execution of the projects
 phasing plan will be made part of the CDP

15. PLAN IMPLEMENTATION
 all identified projects will be subjected
to a rating system to determine their
statewide level of importance
 the rating system is used in developing
the capital improvement budget
request in any given fiscal year
 projects will be carried out when
funding becomes available
