Australia Is A Federal Parliamentary Democracy
Australia is a federal parliamentary democracy. It comes with a variety of people, religions, etc. They
have native people living there known as Aborigines and the Torres Strait Islanders. Australia does
have some major problems with their politics and elder care. Mitch is nineteen years old and lives
with both his parents and grandmother. Mitch lives in Gold Coast, Queensland, which is , the second
largest city in Australia (Stephens). The area Mitch comes from is an urban area that has a lot of
tourism. Mitch explains Australia from the Native aspect and how it differs from the United States.
One of Australia s major historical event is the first sighting of Australia by Willem Janszoon in 1606.
Originally it was known as New Holland l, and then in 1788 British settlement occurred. It want until
January 1, 1901 that Australia gained independence from the federation of UK colonies (Pearson). It
wasn t till after World War II that Australia became increasingly active in world affairs (Australia).
Politically there has been many votes of no confidence that have been occurring since 1999 in
Australia. The last one occurred in 2015 in which liberal leader, Malcolm Turnbull (Australia) became
prime minister in Tony Abbott s place. The occurrence of the many votes of no confidence have had a
major negative effect on the people s opinion of their government in Australia. Mitch states that not a
lot of people are happy because that s not who they voted

The Effects of Pressure Groups on the Government Essay...
The Effects of Pressure Groups on the Government A pressure group is an organised interest group,
which seek to influence the formulation and the implementation of public policy. In both the United
Kingdom and the United States of America, membership to political parties has decreased, meanwhile
membership to pressure groups have increased. Pressure groups differ from political parties in that
they do not seek to win political office; in addition, they concern themselves with sectional policy
rather than a wide range, and therefore pressure groups aim to protect or advance a shared interest.
The first amendment of the US constitution claims citizens have the right of speech, petition and ...

With the diminution in membership of political parties, it appears that people would prefer to invest
their energies in pressure groups rather than parties. Within 50 years, membership to the Labour Party
has declined from one million to 280,000 members; the Conservative Party s membership has
decreased even further from 3 million to 318,000. Meanwhile, membership to organisations such as
the National Trust (2.8 million members), and to the Royal Society (one million) has increased. Jordan
and Maloney said in 1997 it may seem parties are replaced by pressure groups but people prefer to do
very little in public interest groups as opposed to very little in political parties.[1] People prefer
pressure groups as they have more chances to involve themselves in politics. They have a chance to
protest, petition and lobby which is all part of a healthy democratic society. The term pressure group is
a broad term; so political commentator Wyn Grant makes the distinction between insider and outsider
groups. Although difficult, it is possible to distinguish one from the other, by looking at the strategies
they employ. Insider groups abide by the political rules of the game to

Definition Essay On Good Analysis

The True, Good, and Beautiful
March 17, 2017
As we have learned by defining truth and how it is based on an unwavering and dogmatic stance,
which is faith in God Love, and is absolute. Absolute truth starts with God and ends with God, truth
looks at the Bible for what it is and what it says, and not with independence or interpretation. Now,
what is good and can we define it? In the American society, it is evident that individuals want to brand
good as personally defined and not absolute, however, for something to be truly good , it has to be
good for the whole world, meaning it cannot constantly change between persons. Therefore, what is
good must be defined by something unchanging, for that reason, what ... Show more content on

His goodness is unity, oneness, without division, it looks at truth for definition, it is absolute love, it
places every person higher than themselves, and it does not worry or take thought about things that are
not beneficial for love. Christ is the perfect example for truth and goodness. He is truly relational to
God, he accepted the whole world in love by dying for them to include murderers, pedophiles,
enemies, the oppressed, the racist, the tax collectors, the sexually immoral, the slave, every nationality,
those who continually struggle with sin, etc. Jesus was and is impartial; he is the definition of truth,
which leads to goodness. Goodness as defined by truth is our guidance for how to live, reason,
communicate, and comprehend in a secular world. Without a firm stance on what is good, based on
absolute truth, we (again) would be left to find the answers for ourselves in a modernist and
postmodernist fashion. As without truth, the result leaves one empty while searching and finding
nothing truly good. Therefore, we must focus on truth and what it tells us to define good, because
what is good is the byproduct of absolute

Evolution Of Photosynthesis Essay
Approximately 4.6 billion years ago, it is thought that as many of the giant disc shaped cloud of
material keeps spinning they collide with each other forming the sun and other smaller terrestrial
worlds like Earth. The solar winds had less impact on lighter elements and gravity slowly gathered
these gases and dust creating asteroids, comets, and moons.
Earth s rocky core formed first, with heavy elements colliding and binding together. Dense material
sank to the center, while the lighter pieces created the crust. The planet s magnetic field probably
formed around this time. Gravity captured some of the lighter elements that make up the planet s early
atmosphere.

They first existed around 3.9 3.5 billion years ago, known as the Archean eon. The prokaryotes
dominated the Earth from 3.5 2.0 billion years ago. Then the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere
suddenly raised from 0 to 10%, in a short period of time. Oxygen was most likely produced by a new
prokaryote called cyanobacteria. Cyanobacteria had figured out how to make its own food through
photosynthesis. The more cyanobacteria were out there, the higher the atmospheric concentration of
oxygen became. Cyanobacteria changed the atmosphere and made way for the evolution of living
thing to take a new specific direction.
About 2.1 billion years ago, another organism was formed, Eukaryotes. They probably evolve by a
process called endosymbiosis, where one prokaryote pairs and ties with another prokaryote. It formed
a single celled organism with organelles, specifically the mitochondria and plastids, which probably
evolved from the parasitic prokaryote. By 1.5 billion years ago, we started seeing multi cellular
eukaryotic organisms in the fossil record. The very first would be the Algae. But it wasn t until 535

Analysis Of The Case Study On Homework Essay
Analysis of the Case Study
Homework
Homework, as one part of the effective assessment system, is a useful assessment practice to promote
students learning (Kauchak Eggen, 2012). Before introducing any new topic, the teacher started her
lesson by reviewing last night s homework. Students need to receive feedback on their homework and
this feedback should be made as soon as possible. For students, reviewing homework is a way to
examine their understanding of the new knowledge; while for teachers, students performance on
homework provide information about students strengths and weaknesses in mastering the new
concept. Kauchak and Eggen (2012) also mentioned that if one question was missed by a large
number of students, the teacher should explain it explicitly. The teacher in the case study took out one
question that was mostly missed by students and explained it in detail on the white board. She
considers students mistakes as a way of learning and uses them as useful examples to enhance
students understanding of the knowledge.
Cognitive Apprenticeship Cognitive apprenticeship refers to the relationship in which an expert
provides guidance for a less experienced learner to achieve a specific learning goal (Woolfolk
Margetts, 2016). In the case study, the teacher was modeling the problem solving process and students
were encouraged to discuss about how to effectively solve the question. The teacher acts as the expert

What people really think Everyone would say Country is the purist of all music genres but if we take a
closer look at the lyrics of the popular songs, is it like rap in the long run. From Keith Pounds song
She wore a Red Dress which is all about a hunting down a girl and getting in a huge fight and killing
her. Most country songs have the darkest of meanings. Instead of criticizing them we tap our toes to
the beat of the music and it becomes the most listened to song on the radio. What is better for kids to
listen to rap or country? Rap is the most criticized music genre out there all because it has a bad

Irish Nachos Analysis
In regards to the piece that you wrote the piece seems to be about a young woman trying to wrestle
with her feelings about her faith and dealing with being slut shamed unfairly. The piece also touches
on alcoholism, the importance of friendship, and taking the higher road in face of adversity. I really
liked your story because I ve also had a crisis of faith, but I made my decision to leave the church
instead. It was interesting to see the journey your character took to overcome her demons and
heartbreaking as to what happened because of a careless pastor. I am curious as to what Irish nachos
are as well. The strengths of this piece are that the story is harrowing as to what has happened to the
character and the suffering she had went through

A Critical Evaluation Of Rice Processing Machines Essay
The design that was chosen for this project was one of a few that were considered. However, after a
process of analysis and evaluation, the design chosen was deemed the best to achieve the best possible
results in the process of processing wild rice.
Description of Metrics
Metrics are the measures otherwise termed as parameters of assessment of qualities that are
quantitative. They are used to measure, compare and track performance as well as levels of
production. Metrics are used to make comparisons regardless of the variations in the subject matters,
in this case which are machines. In order to establish metrics used in this project a critical evaluation
of rice processing machines was done considering the output given as well as the set goals. In other
words metrics can be defined simply as tools used to evaluate performance or Key Performance
Indicators (KPIs) [24].
The metrics applied in the selection of this design include:
Quality
Quality is defined as the standard of something (machine) compared to others of the same category
(rice processing machines). With regard to manufacturing, quality is idealistically interpreted as the
non inferior or superior nature in comparison to others. It is a measure that determines how fit a
machine is for its set purpose. It is a measure that can be described as conditional or otherwise
subjective to which every individual has their own definition. Consumers are more concerned with the
quality specified whereas manufacturers are

Religious War
Have you ever wondered what it was like to be a warrior in the holy wars? Well, you mightn t want to.
These wars included lots of torment and bloodshed of the religious leaders. These oppositions of
religion were entirely wrong. Religious leaders showed hatred and anger to other religions, resulting
in them having wars.
To begin with, two of the three religions that were fighting in the religious war were against slaughter
and murder. As stated in the Ten Commandments of the Torah, Thous shalt not kill. They all should ve

The Complexity Of Friends In The Tv Show
The tv show Friends is the most funniest and meaningful sitcom of all time. It is about six friends,
three men and three women, who live in the same apartment complex in New York and face life
together as a family. This wonderful sitcom displays the real meaning of friendship and loyalty. They
live their most crazy, funny, and sad moments together. They help guide and support each other
through their tough times. Even though, many people, including myself, may consider the sitcom
Friends as the funniest show ever, many other people disagree; some people think it is boring, not
funny, and very predictable. Each of the characters in the sitcom have a funny personality of their

One of the odd traits about Chandler is that he hates Thanksgiving. When he was nine years old, his
parents announced that they were getting a divorce while eating Thanksgiving dinner and also his
father was having an affair with the houseboy. As a result, he refuses to celebrate Thanksgiving
traditionally and eat Thanksgiving dinner. Another character is Phoebe Buffay. She is played by Lisa
Kudrow. Her personality is very outgoing, impulsive, spontaneous, and friendly. She also has an
unbelievable imagination; she created a doll house out of shoe boxes with a slide, an aroma room,
licorice room, and a bubble machine. Also, she has a weird side which she really shows with her
songs. One of her famous songs is called smelly cat. Furthermore, Rachel Green is another character
in this great sitcom. She is played by Jennifer Aniston. Rachel is caring, loyal, and dependable. One of
the most enjoyable episodes with Rachel is when she sings with Ross, her baby s father, Baby Got

enjoyed in the sitcom. He is introverted, caring, shy, and trustworthy. In one episode, he wanted to

Analysis Of The Limerence Of Martha

The Limerence of Martha Because of their similarities, Martha and Jimmy Cross are the same person.
They are not the same in who they are but what they represent. They know tragedy, loyalty, and. This
comparison between two characters is also common amongst many previous novels, novellas, and
short stories. A foil is defined as, by Literary Devices, qualities that are in contrast with the qualities of
another character, but it can also be used as comparisons. A few comparisons, from William
Shakespeare, are Macbeth and Banquo in the play The Tragedy of Macbeth and Laertes, Claudius, and

It is easy to tell that it is a full time job, and one obviously needs to be focused. Consistently Jimmy
Cross lacks the focus needed to do his job. That was his ultimate downfall as he was the weak link that
killed Ted Lavender. Once Ted Lavender was gone, only then did he listen to his higher ups. Martha
was his authority before them. The question remains as to what Martha worshipped before her tragedy,
but maybe that just wasn t needed for the story to go on. Martha became a Lutheran Missionary. It is a
common debate that women must be silent or subservient in the church. They are allowed to teach
other women and children, of course, but not men as 1 Timothy 2:11 12 states A woman should learn
in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man;
she must be silent. Even with examples of God Choosing women to speak for him, like Deborah the
mother in Israel, Martha was probably not in a church that was tolerant toward women leaders.
Regardless of if she leads the entire world, she is still religious. This would mean she has one
commander: God. She has a loyalty to God as Jimmy Cross has a loyalty to The Commander in Chief,
the President. They are both, in their most simplistic forms, invisible rulers that were always there
going unacknowledged until death. How O Brien told of Cross s tears and mourning reflect most
stories of war: mortal. Many war writers who have seen

The Amusement Park Six Flags New England
The legendary amusement park Six Flags New England is situated in Western Massachusetts in the
city of Agawam, Massachusetts, and has been running since 1870. During this time, it was originally
an ordinary picnic with a cluster of trees named Gallup s Grove. Subsequently, the park replaced its
name with Riverside, and has had its name of Riverside for the majority of the entire period of the
1900s. One famous event, known as The 1929 Wall Street Crash, then had an unfortunate effect on the
amusement park, and as a result, the amusement park shut down in 1939 after countless efforts to
reestablish the amusement park. After the Wall Street Crash, Edward Carroll Senior made history
when made an investment and paid for the amusement park, and developed the amusement park into a
notable success in New England. After a century of the amusement park being known as Riverside, it
then changed its name to Six Flags New England in 2000. This amusement park has various rides with
a maximum amount of thrill which have customers at the edge of their seats, less thrilling rides which
are excellent for just sitting back and enjoying themselves without all the maximized thrill, eating,

Three Plans For Reconstruction Essay
Analysis of the Three Plans for Reconstruction
The American Civil War, lasting from 1861 1865, was the most severe military conflict the country
had seen; it involved the United States of America (the Union), and eleven secessionist Southern states
(the Confederate States of America). The war was the upshot of decades worth of political, social, and
economic conflict between the agricultural South, which produced mainly cash crops such as cotton,
tobacco, and sugarcane, and the industrial North. The South depended on its four million slaves for its
social and economic livelihood, whereas the North despised slavery as immoral and illegal. Even
before General Lee s surrender in 1865, the federal government was confronted with an ... Show more

However, the Black Codes imposed by the Southern State governments, as well as the stiff resistance
to Reconstruction, infuriated the North. The Black Codes aimed to stifle former slaves freedom by
hindering their economic options through debt peonage, sharecropping, tenant farming, vagrancy
laws, and curfews; in a phrase, slavery by another name.
Congress decided to punish the South for their continuous resistance to Reconstruction by scrapping
Johnson s failing plan, and establishing Congressional Reconstruction. Congressional Reconstruction
was by far the most vindictive, and therefore most loathsome to the South. Over the course of ten
years, Congress passed the 13th Amendment (abolishing slavery), and established the Freedmen s
Bureau in March of 1865 (providing food, medical aid, and education to freed people). It passed the
Civil Rights Act of 1866 (granting citizenship to blacks, and authorizing the federal government to
protect their rights), the 14th Amendment ratified in 1868 (solidifying the Civil Rights Act by defining
citizenship and guaranteeing equal protection under the law), and the Reconstruction Acts in 1867.
The Reconstruction Acts established Radical Reconstruction, namely by dividing the South (excluding
Tennessee) into five military districts, headed by northern generals. Once fifty one percent of the
voting population had taken an oath to the constitution, all qualified voters (including blacks) could

Human Restraint In Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde By Robert...
Kenned for the promotion of rigorous morality, the period between 1837 and 1901 in England is
synonymous with human restraint. The Victorian era, named after Queen Victoria s ascension to the
throne, began with the elite in control of society and its politics. Concerned with maintaining power
over their society, these hundreds of families fixated on the convivial disseverment between the upper
and lower classes; associating enlightenment with the upper class became a leading thought abaft this
disseverment, which regarded the lower class as brutal in nature. This thrust the Victorian era into a
period of human hypocrisy and emotional elimination: a cultural conception that drain into the fields

The necessity for a global language has always existed to break down the barriers between nations and
for communication to create a sense of a global community. English is quickly filling that niche, and
instruction in English as a second language is expanding worldwide to places such as Nepal. Nepal is
a land locked country located in Southern Asia bordered by China in the north and India in the south,

Although there have been some educational policies passed to enforce the study of English, the
establishment of English as a second language in Nepal has been limited due to resource shortages,
poor training of teachers, and the prevalence of varying local mother languages, which makes
instruction in English difficult. Additionally, English has created a rift between the social classes as
good English language education is usually only available to those students who come from an
influential family. For these reasons, as opposed to being treated as a second language, English is still
treated as foreign language in Nepal.
The country of Nepal is home to approximately twenty seven million people, with ninety two different
identified languages spread across the numerous ethnic groups. About eighty seven percent of the
country s population speak one of the five major languages: Nepali, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Tharu, and
Tamang (Weinberg, 62). However, Nepali is spoken as a primary language by about half of the total
population. Out of the ninety two identified languages, fifty nine each have less than ten thousand
speakers (Bista, 2). The total population speaking these fifty nine languages is about point five
percent, with the majority of these non dominant languages in danger of becoming extinct because of
the declining population of speakers (Ghimire, 1). Additionally, the language of Nepali is used in legal

The Endangered Species Act By President Richard Nixon
Taxonomists have the important occupation of naming, describing, and classifying organisms into
specific species. A species is defined as a group of organisms that consist of similar individuals that
are competent of exchanging genes through interbreeding. Scientists estimate that there are roughly
6.5 million terrestrial species and 2.2 aquatic species living on planet Earth. The naming of a specific
organism becomes crucial when dealing with those who are endangered because of the Endangered
Species Act. This act allows organisms to obtain special protections for not only their species but for
their environment as well. Obviously, these precautionary measures must take place for the survival of
the species, but unfortunately it can also have the potential to create a significant social and economic
dilemma on society.
The Endangered Species Act was signed by President Richard Nixon and approved by the 93rd
Congress on December 28, 1973. The overall purpose of the act is for the federal government to
protect and recover species that are in jeopardy and the ecosystems upon which they depend on to
survive and reproduce successfully. Protecting the 2,245 species that are either endangered or
threatened and preventing future possible species from becoming endangered are the two main goals
of the Endangered Species Act. Equally, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Commerce
Department s National Marine Fisheries Service administrate and enforce the Act so that the

Women s Rights Of Women Essay
The gender gap has been a pressing issue throughout American history, as a myriad of women have
expressed through outlets such as public assemblies, literature, and speeches. There have been three
waves of the women s movement, each targeting a variety of issues within each era. The third wave
was in 1995, where Hillary Clinton spoke in Beijing, China, claiming that women s rights were the
same as human rights, that every aspiring girl deserved the civil liberties that every man was given
around the world. Moreover, the movement had shifted towards women in developing nations and
those in poverty around the world. In her speech, Clinton develops a political framework in which
American ideals equate to basic human rights that can be accessible to individuals on an international
level.
Clinton discusses the violence that women experience globally: women s offspring is killed if the it is
born female, and rape against women is considered a war prize or punishment. She insists that the
female counterpart is necessary in developing the world: if the woman flourishes, then so will her
family, and a result the nation will do well (American Rhetoric). Women are not only essential to
mankind itself, but also to the family the basic unit of society. However, women are not given access
to education, health care, jobs and credit, let alone a chance to cherish basic legal, human rights and
have an active political life. Without addressing the social ills, women s lives cannot improve,

Role Of Death In Tim O Brien s So It Go
So it goes, is a phrase that boggled my mind, ever since it was first mentioned in the book. A phrase
that can have many different meanings, but yet it is only three words. The phrase So it goes, was used
after every death, making them all equal. What even shocked me, is that Billy was calm when talking
about death. Implying that there was nothing he could do to stop it, and it would happen to the best of
us. In my opinion, the phrase So it goes, represents the idea that the Tralfamadorians had in which a
person may be dead at an instance, but is still alive in the memories of others. It had also represented
anti war beliefs that the author had, because of the bombing of Dresden. At the same time though, the
repetition of the phrase keeps a tally of the cumulative force of death throughout the novel, thus
pointing out the tragic inevitability of death. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

time, the bombing of dresden, and his life experiences such as the plane crash. Billy always thought of
life as simple after the war. He explains decades of his life in just a sentence. He recovers, marries a
woman, has children, and then becomes a wealthy optometrist. However, based off past descriptions
of the war, I can infer that Billy was traumatized during it. The instance he had with the Lazzaro that
promised to kill him, would also be traumatizing as well. So it goes, is a phrase that dismisses the idea
of a perfect world, where no war occurs, and insists that war will happen, whether or not anyone tries

Qualities Of An Outstanding Educator
Just because someone is a great nurse, does not mean they are a great nursing educator. I believe the
greatest qualities of an outstanding educator are passion, patience, flexibility, and the willingness for

The passion that one has or do not have for what they are teaching shows thru and directly impacts the
effectiveness of their teaching. Maintaining a continued passion for the nursing profession inspires
students. Patience, so often is what makes or breaks an educator. Consequently, I have seen many
great nurses that just did not have the required patience to guide new nurses or students. This may be

Comparison Of Jules Ferry And Georges Clemenceau
Jules Ferry and Georges Clemenceau were two of the greatest proponents of the Third Republic in
France. They had been active even before the fall of the Second Empire, with Ferry writing articles
against the Empire in Le Temps (Encyclopædia Britannica, 1998) and Clemenceau founding several
Republican journals, and even being present at Léon Gambetta s proclamation of the Third Republic
in 1870 (Monnerville, 2016).Whilst it is clear that the two men were both staunch supporters of a
republic in the sense of government delegated to a small number of citizens elected by the rest
(Madison, 1787) their views on many aspects of the state as a republic frequently clashed. This essay

Clemenceau is more tied to the theory of the ideal republic as espoused by J.S. Mill, which states that
in a representative democracy people exercise through deputies periodically elected by themselves
ultimate controlling power (1951 cited Myo 2009). In this view, the politician is bound to the wishes
of his electorate. Whilst entrusted to make decisions on their behalf, they do so as a representative and
not as an autocratic ruler. Ferry on the other hand is closer to the theory of Niccolo Machiavelli. This
purports that the politician must act not as an extension of the electorate, but as their leader, protecting
them from the corruptions they see in society (1987[1532] cited Myo 2009). Ferry is more akin to a
Machiavellian republican leader in his paternalism and his feeling that he has been elected to mold the
French nation into his republican vision as opposed to simply representing

Hodgkin s Disease Research Paper
Risk Factors Scientists have found a number of risk factors that may influence the probability of
someone getting Hodgkin s disease, but it is still not clear how these factors increase the risk (4). For
example, some researchers think that infections with the Epstein Barr virus may sometimes cause
damage to the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) in the B lymphocytes, which leads to the creation of
Reed Sternberg cells (4). DNA is the set of instructions sent to the genes that dictates cell functions.
Some genes are responsible for controlling when cells grow, divide, and die (4). Genes that assist the

Most enlarged lymph nodes are caused by an infection, these are referred to as reactive or hyperplastic

How Music Has Impacted My Life Essay
Music has always played an important role in my life. Even as a student of film, I tell stories inspired
by song lyrics, for the words, rhythms, and instruments of rock music have impacted my life to an
unimaginable extent. Whenever I edit video, the underscore is vital. When I write a script, there s a
poetic sound, a lyricism to the dialogue. I would not even be here in Los Angeles if not for artists such
as Courtney Love and Jared Leto, who cross boundaries between music and film. In particular, Jared
Leto s career is something to behold. An award winning actor, director, musician, and pure artist, Leto
epitomizes my creative values: never settle, and don t be afraid to be dedicated to whatever you want
to do.
Origins
Born in Louisiana, Jared Leto attended University of the Arts in Philadelphia to pursue painting.
However, he eventually dropped out and studied acting in NYC. He then transitioned to California to
begin his career music ( Jared Leto: Biography ). His big break in acting came from the short lived,
yet critically lauded TV series, My So Called Life (1994). Four years later, he became lead singer for
his rock band, 30 Seconds to Mars. As the years progressed, Leto found success in both artistic
avenues.
Leto s last film of the 2000s, Mr. Nobody (2009), was met with critical accolades, but marked the
beginning of his hiatus from film. In 2013, Leto returned in full swing with his supporting role in
Dallas Buyer s Club (2013). A commercial and critical

Why We Should Not Participate In Competitive Sports
Lots of people argue about the safety of competitive sports. Not every sport has a risk of brain damage
as there are many sports that don t have to do with playing with our heads like cross country since it
has to do with running. Scientist say that long term brain damage is at a high rate from a head injury in
sports like track, football, soccer, and many more. Competitive sports can be learned without
competition at an older age. However not for young developing children. It s clear that overall having
your child not participate in competitive sports is a good idea.I choose this because (parents get to
overwhelmed), because (it could have a long term impact), and because (it could affect self esteem.

Chad.org states that competitive sports can be difficult for some children and hard to keep up in. It
also states that parents should keep an eye out for the difficult levels and upsetness for their child. This
is difficult for parents when they get to carried away in the sport. Which can cause conflict.
Competitive Advantage says that a positive attitude can affect how you play and how well you do.
Encouragement can help defeat obstacles in the game and confidence is what makes you a better
player. But how can we do this when it s all about winning in the parents, coaches, and teammates
eyes. Low self confidence can kill an athlete s enjoyment of the sport and turn him/her into a dropout
statistic. Dr. G teaching tale is to beware of the self confidence killer. . Donna LMerke states evidence
from the National Institutes of Health and the Us National Library of Medicine During the adolescent
years, some athletes may experience a decrease in flexibility, coordination, and balance, which not
only increases the risk of injury, but also impacts sports performance, placing more stress, anxiety, and
social pressure on the young athlete. As participation in youth sports continues to rise, a direct impact
on injury rates, medical costs, family burden, and time away from sport is observed . Changing the
future of youth sports for the better needs a collaborative effort between parents, coaches, teachers,

Baseball As A First Negro Player
After World War II, Baseball was most beloved game in America. Africans had served their country
gallantly with others. However, they return home fighting to free the world from tyranny only to find
racism, Jim crawlism and segregation still waiting at home. The film is about the challenges Robinson
face to come to play Baseball as a first negro player through social segregation. Segregation was the
law and custom of the land. No other group was more scrupulous in its observance of customs than
organized Baseball. In 1946, there were 16 Major Baseball teams consisting of 400 players and all of
them was white. In 1947,Mr Ricky, innovative major league Baseball executive, stood apart to bring a
colored ball player in Baseball. He offers Jacki that if he make it to Montreal, he could play with
Brooklyn Dodgers with a good amount of salary. However, there was one condition that Jacki must
control his temper by any means. Jacki replied, You give me a uniform and a number on my back, and
I will give you my temper . Jacki got a jersey with 42 on the back. After signing the contract with
Montreal Jacki got married with a fine young woman named Rachel. At the first day of spring training
at Montreal he faced a few question from the reporters. He answered them with his intellect. In

Examples Of A Descriptive Essay On A Room
Contrastive Paragraphs Essay Assingment My dorm room is a rectangular room with beds on the

Between the two beds on the side opposite the closets are two desks that are covered with papers,
water bottles, notebooks and pens. In the midde of the room sits a black flimsy square card table,
covered with a stack of dirty plates and a binder. There are posters hung up around the room, a women

of friends and family. The walls and ceiling are white and the floor is carpeted, with a matrix of
various grey rectangles. There is a central lamp in the middle of the ceiling that illuminates the room
and the blinds keep the rest of the light out. My dorm room is my home away from home. The room

me to distill my priorities and interests. I have to figure out what my favorite shirts are, my favorite

Fascism In Germany
Fascism succeeded in Germany, not as a result of Hitler being elected. There were many factors that
lead Hitler and the Nazi party to succeed. Hitler took advantage of situations such as the Great
Depression and the Reichstag fire to help the Nazi Party gain support and obtain power of Germany.
Along with taking advantage of those factors Hitler was able to convince the members of Reichstag to
pass the Enabling Act. Another way Hitler was able to gain more support was by rewarding the people
of Germany with organizations such as the Gleichstang and strength through joy. The Great
Depression of 1929 impacted Germany tremendously. Already gone through the Hyperinflation of
1923, the struggling Germany economy was facing another challenge. Many Germans encountered
unemployment along with German farmers facing the threat of price declines of commodities and also
the declining of markets. With many Germans facing unemployment this meant they were not able to
earn money so it was difficult to get food or other necessities. This economic hardship gave Hitler the
opportunity to reach out to the people of Germany who were outraged and worried about their future.
So, this economic tragedy brought new supporters, voters, activists to the Nazi Party, which led them
to gain more popularity. With more support and popularity, the Nazi Party kept on growing and
becoming more powerful. In January 1933 Hitler was designated as Chancellor. He did not have much
power at the beginning of

My Writing Course Reflection
I began this course with goals to significantly improve my writing. I knew there were challenges for
me to overcome, because I have not written much at all since high school, which has been more than
twenty four years ago. Nonetheless, I was up for the challenge and each week I made sure to do
exactly as instructed in the weekly syllabus, reading each every assignment very carefully. At first I
felt overwhelmed, but as I completed the homework and discussion post assignments for the weeks
prior to the major papers, the overwhelming feelings subsided and I concentrated on each task at hand.
The homework and class work did not come easy for me, but completing the reading assignments
really helped me to understand what I needed to accomplish. I made sure to be engaged in the
discussion board posts, so that I would be able to obtain feedback from others. Keeping up with the
writing assignments was a major priority for me as well, because I was hopeful to find out which areas
I would really need to focus on to be able to do a good job on major papers. Likewise, peer revisions
proved to be a great way to seek input for improvement, I made sure to participate in each one, and it
paid off. The discussion board posts, the writing assignments, and the peer revisions all helped me to

Scout Reflection
On Saturday, the 28th of October, I presented Earth Rocks to Cub Scouts who were earning their Merit
Badge. As I now reflect on the two sessions I taught that day, I wonder if I could have ever been truly
prepared for them. I believed I had everything lined out and timed to take us right up to the time their
session was over. However, that was not the case because the scouts knew a considerable amount
more about the subject than I realized. I feel honored to have been able to work with such intelligent
groups of scouts. During the first session, I quickly realized that these Cub Scouts knew an impressive
amount about the information I was presenting, so I forced myself to change how I was presenting the
material. I engaged the scouts into the material by asking each one tons of questions about what they
already knew. Then I made sure they stayed busy with hands on activities that really engrossed them
into the material. I believe that when I had to change my lesson plans on the spot, I did decently well.
I was able to better grab the scouts attention and help them learn more information than before they
walked into the session. One of the most challenging ideas I tried to teach to the scouts would have to
be about geographical surroundings and the geographical materials that make up the buildings. I feel
as if I did not know enough about the subject matter, or how to present it correctly in a way that was
truly benefiting the scouts. However, the scout leaders were

The Government And Specific Interest Groups Create Public...
In the United States, the government and specific interest groups create public policies to solve
internal problems and protect their citizens. Public policies can include any action, plan, or rule, which
relates to issues of domestic national importance. Once a certain issue becomes a concern for a
significant amount of people, it becomes a component of the national agenda, which is what the public
wants the government to acknowledge. Many of these problems are addressed because they negatively
affect a significant amount of people (Sparknotes: How Policy Gets Made). For the past few years,
one of the major issues in the United States is illegal immigration. Unlike today, a person immigrating
illegally was not a major issue years ago. Today unfortunately, there are so many illegal immigrants
from all over the world that it has become an issue no one can completely control.
It was recorded in 2012 that approximately 40.8 million illegal immigrants live in the United States,
which makes up thirteen percent of the country. Data on the nativity of the U.S. population were first
collected 1850 decennial census. That year, there were 2.2 million immigrants in the United States,
representing almost ten percent of the total population (Nwosu, Chiamaka). What is the total number
of immigrants that have entered the United States since 2000? Approximately thirty percent of the
40.8 million residing in America entered between 2000 and 2009 (Nwosu, Chiamaka). The majority of

  • 2. Australia Is A Federal Parliamentary Democracy Australia is a federal parliamentary democracy. It comes with a variety of people, religions, etc. They have native people living there known as Aborigines and the Torres Strait Islanders. Australia does have some major problems with their politics and elder care. Mitch is nineteen years old and lives with both his parents and grandmother. Mitch lives in Gold Coast, Queensland, which is , the second largest city in Australia (Stephens). The area Mitch comes from is an urban area that has a lot of tourism. Mitch explains Australia from the Native aspect and how it differs from the United States. One of Australia s major historical event is the first sighting of Australia by Willem Janszoon in 1606. Originally it was known as New Holland l, and then in 1788 British settlement occurred. It want until January 1, 1901 that Australia gained independence from the federation of UK colonies (Pearson). It wasn t till after World War II that Australia became increasingly active in world affairs (Australia). Politically there has been many votes of no confidence that have been occurring since 1999 in Australia. The last one occurred in 2015 in which liberal leader, Malcolm Turnbull (Australia) became prime minister in Tony Abbott s place. The occurrence of the many votes of no confidence have had a major negative effect on the people s opinion of their government in Australia. • 3. The Effects of Pressure Groups on the Government Essay... The Effects of Pressure Groups on the Government A pressure group is an organised interest group, which seek to influence the formulation and the implementation of public policy. In both the United Kingdom and the United States of America, membership to political parties has decreased, meanwhile membership to pressure groups have increased. Pressure groups differ from political parties in that they do not seek to win political office; in addition, they concern themselves with sectional policy rather than a wide range, and therefore pressure groups aim to protect or advance a shared interest. The first amendment of the US constitution claims citizens have the right of speech, petition and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With the diminution in membership of political parties, it appears that people would prefer to invest their energies in pressure groups rather than parties. Within 50 years, membership to the Labour Party has declined from one million to 280,000 members; the Conservative Party s membership has decreased even further from 3 million to 318,000. Meanwhile, membership to organisations such as the National Trust (2.8 million members), and to the Royal Society (one million) has increased. Jordan and Maloney said in 1997 it may seem parties are replaced by pressure groups but people prefer to do very little in public interest groups as opposed to very little in political parties.[1] People prefer pressure groups as they have more chances to involve themselves in politics. They have a chance to protest, petition and lobby which is all part of a healthy democratic society. The term pressure group is a broad term; so political commentator Wyn Grant makes the distinction between insider and outsider groups. Although difficult, it is possible to distinguish one from the other, by looking at the strategies they employ. Insider groups abide by the political rules of the game to ... • 4. Definition Essay On Good Analysis Good Jesse Roux The True, Good, and Beautiful March 17, 2017 As we have learned by defining truth and how it is based on an unwavering and dogmatic stance, which is faith in God Love, and is absolute. Absolute truth starts with God and ends with God, truth looks at the Bible for what it is and what it says, and not with independence or interpretation. Now, what is good and can we define it? In the American society, it is evident that individuals want to brand good as personally defined and not absolute, however, for something to be truly good , it has to be good for the whole world, meaning it cannot constantly change between persons. Therefore, what is good must be defined by something unchanging, for that reason, what ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His goodness is unity, oneness, without division, it looks at truth for definition, it is absolute love, it places every person higher than themselves, and it does not worry or take thought about things that are not beneficial for love. Christ is the perfect example for truth and goodness. He is truly relational to God, he accepted the whole world in love by dying for them to include murderers, pedophiles, enemies, the oppressed, the racist, the tax collectors, the sexually immoral, the slave, every nationality, those who continually struggle with sin, etc. Jesus was and is impartial; he is the definition of truth, which leads to goodness. Goodness as defined by truth is our guidance for how to live, reason, communicate, and comprehend in a secular world. Without a firm stance on what is good, based on absolute truth, we (again) would be left to find the answers for ourselves in a modernist and postmodernist fashion. As without truth, the result leaves one empty while searching and finding nothing truly good. Therefore, we must focus on truth and what it tells us to define good, because what is good is the byproduct of absolute ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Evolution Of Photosynthesis Essay Approximately 4.6 billion years ago, it is thought that as many of the giant disc shaped cloud of material keeps spinning they collide with each other forming the sun and other smaller terrestrial worlds like Earth. The solar winds had less impact on lighter elements and gravity slowly gathered these gases and dust creating asteroids, comets, and moons. Earth s rocky core formed first, with heavy elements colliding and binding together. Dense material sank to the center, while the lighter pieces created the crust. The planet s magnetic field probably formed around this time. Gravity captured some of the lighter elements that make up the planet s early atmosphere. 4.4 Billion Years ago, there was no oxygen in the atmosphere and volcanoes were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They first existed around 3.9 3.5 billion years ago, known as the Archean eon. The prokaryotes dominated the Earth from 3.5 2.0 billion years ago. Then the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere suddenly raised from 0 to 10%, in a short period of time. Oxygen was most likely produced by a new prokaryote called cyanobacteria. Cyanobacteria had figured out how to make its own food through photosynthesis. The more cyanobacteria were out there, the higher the atmospheric concentration of oxygen became. Cyanobacteria changed the atmosphere and made way for the evolution of living thing to take a new specific direction. About 2.1 billion years ago, another organism was formed, Eukaryotes. They probably evolve by a process called endosymbiosis, where one prokaryote pairs and ties with another prokaryote. It formed a single celled organism with organelles, specifically the mitochondria and plastids, which probably evolved from the parasitic prokaryote. By 1.5 billion years ago, we started seeing multi cellular eukaryotic organisms in the fossil record. The very first would be the Algae. But it wasn t until 535 million years ago that the Eukaryotes went berserk, known as the Cambrian ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Analysis Of The Case Study On Homework Essay Analysis of the Case Study Homework Homework, as one part of the effective assessment system, is a useful assessment practice to promote students learning (Kauchak Eggen, 2012). Before introducing any new topic, the teacher started her lesson by reviewing last night s homework. Students need to receive feedback on their homework and this feedback should be made as soon as possible. For students, reviewing homework is a way to examine their understanding of the new knowledge; while for teachers, students performance on homework provide information about students strengths and weaknesses in mastering the new concept. Kauchak and Eggen (2012) also mentioned that if one question was missed by a large number of students, the teacher should explain it explicitly. The teacher in the case study took out one question that was mostly missed by students and explained it in detail on the white board. She considers students mistakes as a way of learning and uses them as useful examples to enhance students understanding of the knowledge. Cognitive Apprenticeship Cognitive apprenticeship refers to the relationship in which an expert provides guidance for a less experienced learner to achieve a specific learning goal (Woolfolk Margetts, 2016). In the case study, the teacher was modeling the problem solving process and students were encouraged to discuss about how to effectively solve the question. From Keith Pounds song She wore a Red Dress which is all about a hunting down a girl and getting in a huge fight and killing her. Most country songs have the darkest of meanings. Instead of criticizing them we tap our toes to the beat of the music and it becomes the most listened to song on the radio. What is better for kids to listen to rap or country? Irish Nachos Analysis In regards to the piece that you wrote the piece seems to be about a young woman trying to wrestle with her feelings about her faith and dealing with being slut shamed unfairly. The piece also touches on alcoholism, the importance of friendship, and taking the higher road in face of adversity. I really liked your story because I ve also had a crisis of faith, but I made my decision to leave the church instead. It was interesting to see the journey your character took to overcome her demons and heartbreaking as to what happened because of a careless pastor. I am curious as to what Irish nachos are as well. • 9. A Critical Evaluation Of Rice Processing Machines Essay The design that was chosen for this project was one of a few that were considered. However, after a process of analysis and evaluation, the design chosen was deemed the best to achieve the best possible results in the process of processing wild rice. Description of Metrics Metrics are the measures otherwise termed as parameters of assessment of qualities that are quantitative. They are used to measure, compare and track performance as well as levels of production. Metrics are used to make comparisons regardless of the variations in the subject matters, in this case which are machines. In order to establish metrics used in this project a critical evaluation of rice processing machines was done considering the output given as well as the set goals. In other words metrics can be defined simply as tools used to evaluate performance or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) [24]. The metrics applied in the selection of this design include: Quality Quality is defined as the standard of something (machine) compared to others of the same category (rice processing machines). With regard to manufacturing, quality is idealistically interpreted as the non inferior or superior nature in comparison to others. It is a measure that determines how fit a machine is for its set purpose. It is a measure that can be described as conditional or otherwise subjective to which every individual has their own definition. These oppositions of religion were entirely wrong. Religious leaders showed hatred and anger to other religions, resulting in them having wars. To begin with, two of the three religions that were fighting in the religious war were against slaughter and murder. As stated in the Ten Commandments of the Torah, Thous shalt not kill. They all should ve listened to this commandment, but, instead, they attacked each other . On the other hand, people might say, The religions fighting in the wars were just defending themselves. This wonderful sitcom displays the real meaning of friendship and loyalty. They live their most crazy, funny, and sad moments together. They help guide and support each other through their tough times. Even though, many people, including myself, may consider the sitcom Friends as the funniest show ever, many other people disagree; some people think it is boring, not funny, and very predictable. As a result, he refuses to celebrate Thanksgiving traditionally and eat Thanksgiving dinner. Another character is Phoebe Buffay. She is played by Lisa Kudrow. Her personality is very outgoing, impulsive, spontaneous, and friendly. She also has an unbelievable imagination; she created a doll house out of shoe boxes with a slide, an aroma room, licorice room, and a bubble machine. Also, she has a weird side which she really shows with her songs. One of her famous songs is called smelly cat. Furthermore, Rachel Green is another character in this great sitcom. She is played by Jennifer Aniston. Rachel is caring, loyal, and dependable. One of the most enjoyable episodes with Rachel is when she sings with Ross, her baby s father, Baby Got Back to her baby daughter to make her laugh. Finally, Ross Geller is one of the characters that I most enjoyed in the sitcom. He is introverted, caring, shy, and trustworthy. In one episode, he wanted to show his friends that he knew how to flirt so he was going to flirt with the pizza delivery girl. Instead Ross ended up talking about different smells of gas with her. The question remains as to what Martha worshipped before her tragedy, but maybe that just wasn t needed for the story to go on. Martha became a Lutheran Missionary. It is a common debate that women must be silent or subservient in the church. They are allowed to teach other women and children, of course, but not men as 1 Timothy 2:11 12 states A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. Three Plans For Reconstruction Essay Analysis of the Three Plans for Reconstruction The American Civil War, lasting from 1861 1865, was the most severe military conflict the country had seen; it involved the United States of America (the Union), and eleven secessionist Southern states (the Confederate States of America). The war was the upshot of decades worth of political, social, and economic conflict between the agricultural South, which produced mainly cash crops such as cotton, tobacco, and sugarcane, and the industrial North. The South depended on its four million slaves for its social and economic livelihood, whereas the North despised slavery as immoral and illegal. The Black Codes aimed to stifle former slaves freedom by hindering their economic options through debt peonage, sharecropping, tenant farming, vagrancy laws, and curfews; in a phrase, slavery by another name. Congress decided to punish the South for their continuous resistance to Reconstruction by scrapping Johnson s failing plan, and establishing Congressional Reconstruction. Congressional Reconstruction was by far the most vindictive, and therefore most loathsome to the South. Over the course of ten years, Congress passed the 13th Amendment (abolishing slavery), and established the Freedmen s Bureau in March of 1865 (providing food, medical aid, and education to freed people). It passed the Civil Rights Act of 1866 (granting citizenship to blacks, and authorizing the federal government to protect their rights), the 14th Amendment ratified in 1868 (solidifying the Civil Rights Act by defining citizenship and guaranteeing equal protection under the law), and the Reconstruction Acts in 1867. A species is defined as a group of organisms that consist of similar individuals that are competent of exchanging genes through interbreeding. Scientists estimate that there are roughly 6.5 million terrestrial species and 2.2 aquatic species living on planet Earth. The naming of a specific organism becomes crucial when dealing with those who are endangered because of the Endangered Species Act. This act allows organisms to obtain special protections for not only their species but for their environment as well. The Endangered Species Act was signed by President Richard Nixon and approved by the 93rd Congress on December 28, 1973. The overall purpose of the act is for the federal government to protect and recover species that are in jeopardy and the ecosystems upon which they depend on to survive and reproduce successfully. Women s Rights Of Women Essay The gender gap has been a pressing issue throughout American history, as a myriad of women have expressed through outlets such as public assemblies, literature, and speeches. There have been three waves of the women s movement, each targeting a variety of issues within each era. The third wave was in 1995, where Hillary Clinton spoke in Beijing, China, claiming that women s rights were the same as human rights, that every aspiring girl deserved the civil liberties that every man was given around the world. Moreover, the movement had shifted towards women in developing nations and those in poverty around the world. In her speech, Clinton develops a political framework in which American ideals equate to basic human rights that can be accessible to individuals on an international level. Clinton discusses the violence that women experience globally: women s offspring is killed if the it is born female, and rape against women is considered a war prize or punishment. She insists that the female counterpart is necessary in developing the world: if the woman flourishes, then so will her family, and a result the nation will do well (American Rhetoric). Women are not only essential to mankind itself, but also to the family the basic unit of society. What even shocked me, is that Billy was calm when talking about death. Implying that there was nothing he could do to stop it, and it would happen to the best of us. In my opinion, the phrase So it goes, represents the idea that the Tralfamadorians had in which a person may be dead at an instance, but is still alive in the memories of others. I really needed to slow down and do a better job with my prewriting, especially my drafts and outlines. I needed to focus on multiple drafts, and revising my drafts to make them better. Therefore, I made sure to leave myself plenty of time to write and re write my drafts, and make good complete outlines. I would even re write those if needed. I think making those changes going forward, are what helped me improve on my future papers. • 33. Scout Reflection On Saturday, the 28th of October, I presented Earth Rocks to Cub Scouts who were earning their Merit Badge. As I now reflect on the two sessions I taught that day, I wonder if I could have ever been truly prepared for them. I believed I had everything lined out and timed to take us right up to the time their session was over. However, that was not the case because the scouts knew a considerable amount more about the subject than I realized. I feel honored to have been able to work with such intelligent groups of scouts. During the first session, I quickly realized that these Cub Scouts knew an impressive amount about the information I was presenting, so I forced myself to change how I was presenting the material. I engaged the scouts into the material by asking each one tons of questions about what they already knew. Then I made sure they stayed busy with hands on activities that really engrossed them into the material. I believe that when I had to change my lesson plans on the spot, I did decently well. I was able to better grab the scouts attention and help them learn more information than before they walked into the session. One of the most challenging ideas I tried to teach to the scouts would have to be about geographical surroundings and the geographical materials that make up the buildings. I feel as if I did not know enough about the subject matter, or how to present it correctly in a way that was truly benefiting the scouts. However, the scout leaders were ... • 35. The Government And Specific Interest Groups Create Public... In the United States, the government and specific interest groups create public policies to solve internal problems and protect their citizens. Public policies can include any action, plan, or rule, which relates to issues of domestic national importance. Once a certain issue becomes a concern for a significant amount of people, it becomes a component of the national agenda, which is what the public wants the government to acknowledge. Many of these problems are addressed because they negatively affect a significant amount of people (Sparknotes: How Policy Gets Made). • 37. Medical Assistant Externship Experience Over the last few weeks, I have had the opportunity to experience some of the best and most difficult times of being a medical assistant. I have had hands on experience with patients of all different ages, races, religions, and personalities. These last few weeks have not only taught me patience, acceptance and boundaries of others, but I was able to learn more about myself as well. My externship experience has opened my eyes to the realities of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, physically and mentally, as well as the importance of family and friends. DePaul Medical Center and In Faith Psychological Services were the best locations I could have chosen for my first look into the life of a medical assistant. Overall, the most valuable lesson I took away from my externship experience was that at the end of the day it does not matter who you are, young or old, black or white, rich or poor, Christian or Atheist, your life can change in a matter of seconds. Having family and friends who are supportive as well as medical staff who are patient and genuine can significantly impact your recovery or transition period.
