An Age Of Wisdom And Clarity
INTRODUCTION
Everyone in the United States has had some sort of interaction with a person from the church, at a
church, in a church and has seen countless images of Jesus in various states of crucifixion to
constantly remind you of his sacrifice, a promise to you that you are forgiven and you have a place in
heaven. Now, this essay is not for everyone, some people cannot function without a crutch, or life is so
bad this is the only escape from reality that is possible, this essay is for those who like me as a child
was so confused about the Christian religion, but could never isolate those reasons until entering an
age of wisdom and clarity.
His Birth
Jesus s birth story is known by us all in some form or other. His birth is celebrated in countless songs,
and festooned, mangered, and otherwise decorated to include gifting friends and family. Amen.
Beginning this story and journey wise men, most say three, correlated by the three extravagant gifts.
Three wise men followed a star which took them to the palace of King Herod, where the King said he
had heard the Lord s baby was born in Bethlehem. Grabbing up the gifts befitting a heavenly child, the
men head off to Bethlehem to find the Christ child. Quickly these wise men traverse to Bethlehem and
discover the Christ child in a manger with his mother, and the guy married to his mom. Everyone can
see a manger with its clean straw mother and husband around a baby with animals and three guys with
presents.

Analysis Of The Wedding At Cana
The artwork by Paolo Veronese were known for being created on large platforms and were centered on
religious topics. One notable works of his was The Wedding at Cana. This piece is a depiction of Jesus
first miracle as he turned water into wine for a wedding celebration. Based in Venice, Veronese s life
was heavily influenced by the Christian culture and was esteemed by the community and church
officials for his artistic abilities. As Veronese painted in the Mannerist style, The Wedding at Cana was
an asymmetrical painting with elegant principles. Also, Veronese heavily used vibrant colors to show
the richness of the subjects and to create light. This painting has lived through several interesting eras
and owners. Wars and political overlords dominated the geography of this painting and even damaged
the canvas. Since Veronese s style and talents were sought after, his work, religious and secular, was
mostly commissioned by patrons of the Venetian community. Veronese was a painter fond of the
Mannerist style in the High Renaissance era. As he aged, art and religion were important aspects of
Veronese s life. He fully embraced the traditions and regulations of his God and was even
commissioned because of his talent and devotion to the church. While a teenager, many church
officials in his area asked Veronese to paint important works of art in their churches. The Giustiniania
family esteemed Veronese so highly that they wanted him to paint inside of their Roman Catholic

The Unconventional Kate Chopin Essays
The Unconventional Kate Chopin
Kate Chopin, a female author in the Victorian Era, wrote a large number of short stories and poems.
She is most famous for her controversial novel The Awakening in which the main character struggles
between society s obligations and her own desires. At the time The Awakening was published, Chopin
had written more than one hundred short stories, many of which had appeared in magazines such as
Vogue. She was something of a literary lioness in St. Louis and had numerous intellectual admirers.
Within weeks after publication of The Awakening, this social landscape that had appeared so serenely
comfortable became anything but serene and anything but comfortable.
Of all things, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When the Civil War broke out, Kate s brother George joined the Confederate Army. Kate s sentiments
followed after the protection of her brother, and she became the littlest rebel in St. Louis (Thornton 2).
Because of Kate s feelings about the Union, it shouldn t be too surprising that some of those
sentiments survived into her adulthood. In much of her work, beginning with At Fault and continuing
through such stories as For Marse Chouchoute, and The Benitous Slave, the black characters are
portrayed as simple, childlike, and mindlessly devoted to their masters (Thornton 6). Even in Desiree s
Baby (perhaps Chopin s best known short work), racial injustice is a necessary background against
which Chopin stages her deadly dramatic irony.
Between 1889 and 1894, many of Kate s famous works were written and published. Many of these
were beginning to appear in familiar magazines across the country, making Chopin a nationally known
author. A collection of short stories, Bayou Folk, was published. This famous series earned her
glowing reviews and a great amount of literary success. The Story Of an Hour was written shortly
after. This is one of Chopin s most unforgettable stories. Though Chopin herself never complained
about her marriage, it is surely significant that this story about the fantasized freedom of a woman
should come to her in the rush of literary success.

Research Paper On Great White Shark
As one of the greatest predators of the sea, the great white shark may be an unusual, unsafe pet.
However, a shark, especially a great white, would be an magnificent pet. Imagine walking up to
someone s house and seeing a shark swimming in a moat. It would be exceptionally cool and also a bit
terrifying. If there was a pet shark guarding a house, no one would try to rob that house. Who would
want to steal from a house with a guard shark? Sharks are also highly intelligent. Alison Kock, a
researcher, says white sharks are intelligent, highly inquisitive creatures (Raffaele). Galileo Galilei, an
astronomer, was also highly intelligent and very misunderstood in his time. Therefore, Galileo would
make a great name for a pet shark.
Great white sharks are sometimes solitary animals (Great n.pag). Sharks are also highly intelligent.
Theodora Fuss, a research student, showed that she could train sharks to recognise and remember

A Comparison Of Fried Veal Escalope With Raisins
The exchanges of cultural ideas have been critical to human development. This relates to how humans
have formed and used networks of trade and exchange through art and food. This exchange is evident
during the Roman Empire that grew to dominate Southwestern Europe, Southeastern Europe and the
Mediterranean area. As Roman civilization grew to dominate these areas, it captured and assimilated
the culture, enhancing its delicate dishes. Roman food is an expression of the cultural diffusion of the
people they interacted with and those they conquered. To analyze such cultural diffusion, the recipe
for Fried Veal Escalope with Raisins will help explain how cultural diffusion, through the rise of the
Roman Empire, inspired such delicate culinary delicacies

Pearl Harbor Battle Analysis Paper
Pearl Harbor
The attack on Pearl Harbor was one of the most tragic events in the history of the United States. The
Japanese used the element of surprise to win a decisive victory in the battle. Using critical reasoning
and battle analysis, we can identify the shortcomings that led to this loss. One such shortcoming was
the misuse of the SCR 270 Radar. This paper will fashion an alternate future through this system s
proper employment accounting for its battlefield effect. This paper will also analyze the second and
third order effects this alternate future would have on history. By conducting critical reasoning and
battle analysis, we may be able to see future weaknesses and better manage our intelligence processes.
December 7, 1941 was a tipping point in US history. On this day, the Japanese Navy attacked the US
Navy s Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. US forces suffered great losses
during this attack. A total of 2,400 Soldiers and Sailors lost their lives, while an additional 1,200
sustained injuries. The attack also claimed three hundred and twenty six planes and eight of the Navy

time, she is learning how to be a proper lady all while becoming closer with the Linton s. The novel
sets the narrative up for Catherine s death by showing Catherine s relationship between Edgar and
Heathcliff. Although, Catherine is married to Edgar she still has Heathcliff come around because she

Pursuing A Career In School Psychology
The authors begin chapter three by explaining that there are commonly discrepancies among raters
and their ratings of child behavior. Moreover, these differences stem from the different perceptions of
the parents, teachers, children, and even the school psychologist. The differences can also be attributed
to the differences in the child s behavior across contexts. This information is important to
acknowledge and understand for many reasons. We are different. What a parent might constitute as a
poor behavior, might be seen as an acceptable behavior by the teacher. It all goes back to culture and
what each person truly believes to be important and/or meaningful. This also made me think of other
courses that we have taken where we were required to observe a child, as well as operationally define
a target behavior. The operational definition of the behavior helps to ensure that anyone can observe

Why Is Pressure Ulcer Important
The National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel defines pressure ulcer as localized injury to skin and/or
underlying tissue usually over a bony prominence, as a result of pressure, or pressure in combination
with shear. Pressure ulcers are caused by unrelieved pressure usually located over bony prominences
and are localized area of tissue injury. Agency of Healthcare Research Quality has an effective vision
regarding pressure ulcers: If you can t measure it, you can t improve it. To determine the severity of a
pressure ulcer, an assessment of the lack of skin integrity is categorized according to severity by
stages to reflect level of tissue injury or damage . Variations in the breakdown of skin are staged to

Causes, Problems, and Cures for Air Pollution
When people think of air pollution, they most immediately picture heavy smog drifting over cities and
industrial plants. This is the first and most evident form of air pollution.
To better understand the subject, we need to define the term air pollution. Air pollution is the presence
in or introduced into the air of a substance which has harmful or poisonous effects. These substances
linger and cause many adverse problems. Humans and other living creations rely on the atmosphere
for reparation. When air quality is dampened by pollution, immediate and long term consequences
take place. Pollution has caused allergies, disease, damage to crops, and even death. It is important
that we fully understand the causes, problems, and possible solutions of air pollution so that we can
make an educated decision for Earth s future.
There are many causes of air pollution. We can divide air pollutants into two categories. there are
invisible and visible air pollutants. The smog you might see lingering over a city is a good example of
visible air pollution. Invisible air pollutants are obviously not as noticeable, but they can be just as
deadly, if not more so. Examples of invisible pollutants include nitrogen oxide, sulfur dioxide, and
carbon monoxide. Air pollution can further be split into primary and secondary pollutants. Primary
pollutants, such as sulfur dioxide, are ones directly

life at some point in time, whether it is in the form of a close relative, parent, spouse, or even one s
own death. While it is not the most pleasant subject, death is something that needs to be addressed to
prepare those who will have to manage it when the time comes. Depending on the situation at hand,
certain circumstances of demise may not be completely understood, and in these cases, autopsies can
provide families with closure by giving them answers needed to clarify any questions that may have
come along with the loss of their loved one ( American Autopsy Services , np). With new advances in
technology and new medical diagnostic systems, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Having an answer regarding a loved one s death in cases of uncertainty is psychologically beneficial
to the family members, especially if they are concerned that the death had occurred because of
something they did. If there were any genetic disorders that led to the death, those can be clarified and
relayed to the family as well. Clinicians and hospitals benefit from autopsies because they provide
reassurance of the diagnoses, treatments and the appropriateness of the medical care received. Society
experiences the benefits of autopsies through the evaluation of diagnostic tests, drugs, and diagnostic
techniques along with advanced medical knowledge of new diseases as well as environmental,
occupational, and existing diseases. Mortality statistics are only able to be verified from autopsy data
because so often statistics are inaccurate with the lack of an autopsy (Stöppler,

Triple Alliance And Triple Entente During World War I
In the beginning of the 20th century, many changes where to take place that would ultimately
determine the alliances commonly known as the Triple Alliance and Triple Entente during World War
I. In 1904, the Russo Japanese War began. This war ended with a defeat for Russia, which was
humiliating, but did encourage the Russian Empire to focus on the Balkans, an area that would play
more dominate roles in World War I ( 10 Events that Led to War One 1). Their newfound interest in
this area forced them to reassert themselves later, during the Bosnia Annexation Crisis (Trueman 1).
Over the years, Germany began to grow as an empire and an extremely militaristic power (Tonge 1).
The German s power created a naval rivalry between themselves and Britain. Britain, fearing war,

This put the Austria Hungarians in a political crisis, looking for a successor. On July 28 1914, Austria
Hungary, looking to take revenge on the powers that assassinated their heir, declared war on Serbia
but also Germany. Shortly after, Germany declared war on Russia and the Ottoman empire declared
war on France and Britain, who declared war on their enemy, Germany. This created the two sides of
World War I, The Allies: Braitain, France and Russia, and the Central Powers: Austria Hungary and
Germany . In 1915, Italy joined the Allies, Bulgaria joined the Central Powers, and in 1916 Romania
joined the Allies. Finally, in 1917, the United States joined the Allies as well ( Course of the War 1914

as shown above, both sides had history and motives that pushed them to declare

Study Of Organisms Living On The Rocky Shore Essay
On Wednesday the 9th of March, Students from Sacred Heart College Travelled by Bus to Siren s
Rock s which lies between Owhiro Bay and Island Bay. At Siren s rocks we had to explore the rocks
and collect data of all the different species we found at the rocky shore. The rocky shore is an
intertidal place where solid rocks predominate. It is useful for the study of Organisms living on the
rocky shore. The rocky shore consists of the low tide, mid tide, high tide and splash zones. We used
quadrats to sample which species was located in these zones and we did this when the tide was low.
Quadrats is a sampling method used to see which organisms are located in certain proportions. The
species I have chosen to talk about in my report today is one type of Limpet and one type of Top Shell.
The common name for the Limpet I found is the Golden/ Radiate Limpet of whose scientific name is
Cellana Radians which was found in the lower intertidal zone. The Cellana Radians is predated by
starfish, whelks and shore birds. The Limpet is an herbivore because it eats Algae and Angiosperm
which both are types of growing plants located within the rocky shore. The common name for the
species of Top shell I found was actually Scorched Monodont whose scientific name is Diloma
(Melagaphia) Aesthiops which is also found in the Lower intertidal name zone. The Diloma
(Melagraphia) Aesthiops is predated by starfish, shore crabs and coastal reef fish. The Diloma

But Im A Cheerleader Movie Analysis
The satirical movie But I m a Cheerleader was directed by Jamie Babbit and based on 1999 writings
of Brian Wayne Peterson. The movie covers exciting representations of queer characters and is
centered on conversion therapy which seems an outdated practice in modern films. Conversion
therapy is rehabilitation that converts an individual s homosexual desires to regain heterosexual
desires. Megan is the main character in the movie with many friends and a dreamy boyfriend who acts
like a typical preppy cheerleader. As per the movie, Megan hardly kisses her boyfriend, and her
parents thought of her to be a lesbian (Talburt 17 39). The parents later sent Megan to a youth camp
that goes by the name True Directions which was for an ex gay run by Mike and Mary Brown. In that
camp, Megan came across Cathy who was facing threats from her own father of being cut off
completely. She never took these threats lightly even though she refuses to contain her attraction to
sex. When Mary Brown the owner of the camp, tries to make Graham and Megan heterosexual they
end up being romantic and this makes Megan discover her earlier inhibited sexuality. Therefore, the
paper will argue on queer representation as evident in But I m a Cheerleader movie. The argument

Positive Influences Of The Internet Essay
In 1983, an invention was introduced that would shape the future of American society and interactions
around the world. The society would begin to be centered around technology and shift online. A
plethora of advantages and societal changes has sparked negative thoughts about how the internet has
changed our lives. The ability for our computers to communicate has left us as easy targets for hackers
and has sucked the American youth into a zombie like state into their phones. Many worry the internet
is degrading our culture. When referring to the invention of writing and reading, Plato denounced
writing as inhuman and warned that writing weakened the mind and that it threatened to destroy
people s memory (Furedi). People are often scared of new innovations because they are aware of its
potential to revolutionize their culture. Adjusting to unfamiliar concepts and innovations can be
uncomfortable and difficult for most people. Similarly, modern day sceptics look at the internet in a
negative light because of its rapidly increasing impact on our society. What most tend to forget is the
positive influences of the internet. The increased interconnection brought by the internet has led to a
society that values productivity, rapid production of ideas, and social awareness.
The idea of the internet first appeared in August of 1962 from J.C.R. Licklider, a professor at MIT. He
came up with a concept called Galactic Network , an idea that envisioned a network of computers

Health Information Technology and Medical Malpractice Lawsuit Liability
Introduction
Health information technology (HIT) has become a growing phenomenon in the past sev eral years.
Healthcare providers, organizations, policymakers, and patients all share a similar vi sion of a
healthcare system powered by information technology. These visions stem from the Health
Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act of 2009, which authorizes
grants and incentives to promote the use of electronic health records (EHRs) by pro viders. In the past
couple of years, with the implementation of HIT and EHRs, the healthcare field has had an increasing
amount of medical malpractice lawsuits. Unfortunately, with technol ogy advancing more rapidly
causing medical professionals a difficult task in identifying and ad dressing medico legal issues before
they occur. Therefore, healthcare teams are in need of con sidering how to fix the underlying problems
of HIT in order to ensure malpractice lawsuits do not continue to happen in practice.
Area of Improvement
According to resources and information, Health Information Technology needs to contin ually be re
evaluated as to support organizations in the event of, or to deter, medical malpractice lawsuits.
Medical malpractice lawsuits can be an expensive, long term, and a defeating process for all parties.
Unfortunately, healthcare providers have to continue to carry malpractice insur ance, as these lawsuits
can be costly not

A Brief Note On Surface Water And Water Pollution
Surface water (rivers, streams, and lakes) are the main sources of domestic, industrial and irrigation
water uses in many areas in the world, and play a very important role in hydrologic and
biogeochemical cycles. As important as these surface waters are, only a minimum number are
maintained and can be found in their natural condition due to intensive human activities such as
urbanization and surface water pollution, making it a great environmental concern worldwide (Zhao et
al., 2011). Every time it rains, rivers and streams and are subject to non point source pollution. These
rivers and streams are highly vulnerable water bodies because of the role they play in carrying off and

By characterizing the spatial and temporal variation in the water quality of rivers and streams, results
from water quality analysis can provide an improved understanding of the environmental conditions
and m help policy makers establish priorities for sustainable water management (Cooper et al., 2002
and Antonopoulos et al., 2001). Watershed scale analysis of water quality variables can illustrate the
changing influence of various human activities in different sub basins and as one proceeds from
headwaters to downstream. Reports on stormwater quality management program have shown that
Greensboro currently faces water pollution problems in its main rivers and lakes (Greensboro Water
Resources Dept., Report, 2013). Water quality at most of the regularly monitored stations in major
rivers and streams in the county are below the United States Environmental Protection Agency
(USEPA) standards suitable for human consumption and aquatic life sustainability including sites
along the Buffalo Creeks and Reedy Fork Creek. The condition of the water in Greensboro Rivers and
streams is related to land use and the quality and quantity of the rainfall washing off the landscape. In
an urban setting like Greensboro, the predominant factors in determining the water quality
characteristics of rivers and streams are the pollutants washing off Greensboro s

School Life Is The Best Life
Introduction
School life is the best life remark says that life is all about learning for something new innovation.
School gives us better education, joyful life, careless about everything etc. It is the most pertinent part
of human life. It is the really free from the care and great happiness for the students.
A person s education is one of the most important factors in determining whether or not they will
become a productive member of society.Facing the technological revolution that we are going through
without a good quality education , a person will be left behind .
All parents want their child to be shelter on their school/college campus. Keep in mind that campus
safety should also refer to the sorrounding neighbourhoods because chances are your child is going to
be out exploring his new environment. A student must feel comfortable and safe at his or her
school/college campus . If not, this will likely lead to poor academic performance and declined social
activity.
All school/colleges do their best to keep campus housing a safe area , but there are still general safety
tips that your child must remain aware of.
Campus Life
Numerous sudents expect their life, on their own,to be paradise.Living free of their parent s rule

Native Civilizations And The United States
As I was sitting in a classroom learning about world history, I wondered how the ancient civilizations
responded to the immigration challenges that they had to face. Since the early civilizations, people
have immigrated from place to place to find a better life for their families. The bad situations they live
in obligated them to leave their houses and immigrated to unknown places. Even today thousands of
people immigrate to another country looking for a better life. For example, throughout the American
history millions of people around the world have left their homelands for a chance to start a new life in
the United States. In the stories, Changing America 2001, Letters from an American farmer, the Art of
Happiness, and Silent Dancing, we can see the most common problem that immigrants face in this
country, finding their identity. As an immigrant, I personally have experienced some of the challenges
that the immigrants in these stories share. I have gone through the process of adjusting to living in a
country where another language is spoken and has a different culture.
As humans, we start developing our identity since we are children. The living situations that we face
have a big impact in defining who we are. The story Silent Dancing is an example of how culture
shapes us in who we are. Culture refers to the characteristics of a particular group of people, including
their language, cuisine, social habits, religion, music, and arts. It is a people s way of life.

Britain as an Awkward Partner in the European Community...
Britain as an Awkward Partner in the European Community
Britain emerged from the war in a relatively favourable position, compared to its European
neighbours. In 1946 industrial production was as high as at any time pre war, and increasing quite fast.
By the end of the year exports had regained their pre war level along with this there was little
unemployment and retail prices remained fairly stable. All this contrasted strongly with the situation in
France, Germany and Italy. Indeed in the late 1940 s and into the early 1950 s Britain s economy
performed better then it s European counterparts. Churchill suggested that France and West Germany
should lead the creation of a new Europe for justice, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The official line on Britain s non entry being , we are not willing to make prior commitment to a
scheme whose terms of membership are unknown. This also underlines the fact that Britain wanted to
continue as before and thought it could, at the time Britain was producing about one half of the coal
and steel in Europe.
Right from the conception of the European union Britain has stood aloof from the union being very
cautious and wary. From as far back as the creation of the European Steel and Coal Community in
1952 Britain has shown its unwillingness and reservations about joining Europe. The ECSC was set
up under the Treaty of Paris in 1951 with 6 countries signing. These countries were France, Italy,
Luxemburg, Holland and Belgium. Britain was expected to join the ECSC but this was not the case.
Britain at the time had a far superior economy in strength than the rest of its European counterparts
and felt the union would only inhibit them Economically.
In 1955 a congress was held on the creation of a general customs union, to which Britain did not deem
important enough to send more than a civil servant. However even he was recalled from the
conference. This demonstrated the arrogance of Britain at the time that felt that these Treaties and
agreements did not warrant their involvement. Further adding to their

Into The Wild Character Analysis
Into the Wild (1996), a novel by Jon Krakauer, explores the life of Christopher McCandless and the
events leading up to his death. In an effort to prove his independence, Chris makes a tragic journey to
Alaska that killed him at 24 years old. Along the way, he encounters many people who have been
impacted by his mature, unique personality. Wayne Westerberg, Jan Burress, and Ronald Franz are a
few people who were affected by his wise character. Christopher McCandless, or Alexander
Supertramp, was an intelligent young man who came from a wealthy family. His father, Walt
McCandless, was an aerospace engineer at NASA, while his mother, Billie McCandless, worked as a
secretary at Hughes Aircraft. McCandless only had one sibling Carine ... Show more content on

He recalls Alex as being the hardest worker that I d ever seen (page. 18). No matter how hard or dirty

Westerberg discovered that Alex s name was actually Chris. This made Westerberg curious about who
Alex actually was and the problems that he had with his family. McCandless became someone who
irreplaceable to Westerberg. Jan Burress is a drifter who travels around with her boyfriend in their van
selling knick knacks at flea markets and swap meets (page. 30). While lost on the highway, they pulled
over and found McCandless digging through the bushes for berries. In that moment, Jan called him
over and offered him a ride and food. After their initial meeting, Chris returned to the couple and spent
time with them in the Slabs. There, he helped Buress with her book sales and exhibited an extremely
sociable, playful nature. According to an interview from Krakauer, Jan Buress felt like, he was storing
up company for the times when he knew nobody would be around (page. 45). Chris flirted and joked
around with Buress and showed off his surprising musical talents. As a mother with a son of her own,
she quickly began treating McCandless as her child and developed a connection with him. At a point,

The Search for an Alternative to Aluminium Based Vaccines
Reported incidences of toxicity due to aluminium based vaccines have always been a concern
(Clements, 1996; Clements and Griffiths, 2002; Edleman, 1997). Therefore, there has always been a
constant effort to search for alternative adjuvants. Polymeric micro and nanoparticles can act as a
delivery vehicle and along with their adjuvanting capabilities may enhance the efficacy of the vaccine
(Gregory et al., 2013; Koping Hoggard et al., 2005; Panyam and Labhasetwar, 2003). Biodegradable
polymeric nanoparticles have been studied as potential adjuvants by many researchers but no
considerable success has been achieved in this direction. Moreover, in none of these studies,
immunised test animals were exposed to the actual disease causing agent and efficacy of the
formulations was demonstrated only by the presence of anti tetanus antibodies by ELISA (Johansen et
al., 2000; Katare and Panda, 2006; Raghuvanshi et al., 2001). Absolute estimation of vaccine efficacy
should also be made by exposing the vaccinated individual to the actual disease causing agent.
Furthremore, for a vaccine to be used in pre clinical or clinical studies, potency testing of vaccine
should be undertaken as per WHO and/or pharmocopoeial guidelines for ensuring its efficacy and
acceptability (European Pharmacopoeia, 2008; Indian Pharmacopoeia, 2010; World Health
Organisation, 1990). In our study, the efficacy of the test formulations was evaluated by ELISA as
well as challenge method and synergistic effect of

Essay on The Message of Rip Van Winkle
Rip looked, and beheld a precise counterpart of himself, [It appears Rip has seen an exact mirror
image of himself the way others have always perceived him] as he went up the mountain [This was
the way he was before his quot;sleep, quot; or journey up the mountain] : apparently as lazy, and
certainly as ragged [Before he encountered the party on the mountain, he was a casual, rough and lazy
person] . The poor fellow was now completely confounded [It appears to everyone that Rip Jr. was

If there s one passage in this story that would summarize the entire story it would be this one. Every
theme throughout Rip Van Winkle is touched on somewhere in here and the constant theme of
quot;who Rip is quot; is the underlying question of both this story and this passage. In the beginning
of the story I think we all took a liking to such a friendly character who cares so much about pleasing
everyone. However, towards the end of the story Rip seems to examine his life and realizes that he
doesn t like everything about himself, and that quite possibly some changes are in order.
We sometimes get so wrapped up in helping and pleasing everyone else around us we forget to pay
attention to our own needs and those especially close to us. Just as what happened to Rip in his
personal and family life, it s obvious that some adjustments need to be made. Rip was a kind caring
person and apparently was always willing to give a hand. It seems everyone in the village took a
certain liking to Rip. Yet his family life needs a lot of attention.
Rip didn t take care of his own farm, fences, wife or children. It can be compared to the shoe maker
without shoes. You spend too much time caring for others needs that the ones closest to you go
unattended. The last thing you want to do is

An Age Of Wisdom And Clarity INTRODUCTION Everyone in the United States has had some sort of interaction with a person from the church, at a church, in a church and has seen countless images of Jesus in various states of crucifixion to constantly remind you of his sacrifice, a promise to you that you are forgiven and you have a place in heaven. Now, this essay is not for everyone, some people cannot function without a crutch, or life is so bad this is the only escape from reality that is possible, this essay is for those who like me as a child was so confused about the Christian religion, but could never isolate those reasons until entering an age of wisdom and clarity. His Birth Jesus s birth story is known by us all in some form or other. His birth is celebrated in countless songs, and festooned, mangered, and otherwise decorated to include gifting friends and family. Amen. Beginning this story and journey wise men, most say three, correlated by the three extravagant gifts. Three wise men followed a star which took them to the palace of King Herod, where the King said he had heard the Lord s baby was born in Bethlehem. Grabbing up the gifts befitting a heavenly child, the men head off to Bethlehem to find the Christ child. Quickly these wise men traverse to Bethlehem and discover the Christ child in a manger with his mother, and the guy married to his mom. One notable works of his was The Wedding at Cana. This piece is a depiction of Jesus first miracle as he turned water into wine for a wedding celebration. Based in Venice, Veronese s life was heavily influenced by the Christian culture and was esteemed by the community and church officials for his artistic abilities. As Veronese painted in the Mannerist style, The Wedding at Cana was an asymmetrical painting with elegant principles. Also, Veronese heavily used vibrant colors to show the richness of the subjects and to create light. This painting has lived through several interesting eras and owners. Wars and political overlords dominated the geography of this painting and even damaged the canvas. Since Veronese s style and talents were sought after, his work, religious and secular, was mostly commissioned by patrons of the Venetian community. Veronese was a painter fond of the Mannerist style in the High Renaissance era. As he aged, art and religion were important aspects of Veronese s life. He fully embraced the traditions and regulations of his God and was even commissioned because of his talent and devotion to the church. While a teenager, many church officials in his area asked Veronese to paint important works of art in their churches. The Giustiniania family esteemed Veronese so highly that they wanted him to paint inside of their Roman Catholic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Unconventional Kate Chopin Essays The Unconventional Kate Chopin Kate Chopin, a female author in the Victorian Era, wrote a large number of short stories and poems. She is most famous for her controversial novel The Awakening in which the main character struggles between society s obligations and her own desires. At the time The Awakening was published, Chopin had written more than one hundred short stories, many of which had appeared in magazines such as Vogue. She was something of a literary lioness in St. Louis and had numerous intellectual admirers. Within weeks after publication of The Awakening, this social landscape that had appeared so serenely comfortable became anything but serene and anything but comfortable. Of all things, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When the Civil War broke out, Kate s brother George joined the Confederate Army. Kate s sentiments followed after the protection of her brother, and she became the littlest rebel in St. Louis (Thornton 2). Because of Kate s feelings about the Union, it shouldn t be too surprising that some of those sentiments survived into her adulthood. In much of her work, beginning with At Fault and continuing through such stories as For Marse Chouchoute, and The Benitous Slave, the black characters are portrayed as simple, childlike, and mindlessly devoted to their masters (Thornton 6). Even in Desiree s Baby (perhaps Chopin s best known short work), racial injustice is a necessary background against which Chopin stages her deadly dramatic irony. Between 1889 and 1894, many of Kate s famous works were written and published. Many of these were beginning to appear in familiar magazines across the country, making Chopin a nationally known author. A collection of short stories, Bayou Folk, was published. This famous series earned her glowing reviews and a great amount of literary success. The Story Of an Hour was written shortly after. This is one of Chopin s most unforgettable stories. Though Chopin herself never complained about her marriage, it is surely significant that this story about the fantasized freedom of a woman should come to her in the rush of literary success. The definition of courage is, mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty. Some synonyms of this word include bravery, daring and fearless. • 20. Solution Of Air Pollution Joe Science Auto Grader, Grade: 94 A paper rater Causes, Problems, and Cures for Air Pollution When people think of air pollution, they most immediately picture heavy smog drifting over cities and industrial plants. This is the first and most evident form of air pollution. To better understand the subject, we need to define the term air pollution. Air pollution is the presence in or introduced into the air of a substance which has harmful or poisonous effects. These substances linger and cause many adverse problems. Humans and other living creations rely on the atmosphere for reparation. When air quality is dampened by pollution, immediate and long term consequences take place. Pollution has caused allergies, disease, damage to crops, and even death. It is important that we fully understand the causes, problems, and possible solutions of air pollution so that we can make an educated decision for Earth s future. There are many causes of air pollution. We can divide air pollutants into two categories. there are invisible and visible air pollutants. The smog you might see lingering over a city is a good example of visible air pollution. Invisible air pollutants are obviously not as noticeable, but they can be just as deadly, if not more so. Examples of invisible pollutants include nitrogen oxide, sulfur dioxide, and carbon monoxide. Air pollution can further be split into primary and secondary pollutants. Study Of Organisms Living On The Rocky Shore Essay On Wednesday the 9th of March, Students from Sacred Heart College Travelled by Bus to Siren s Rock s which lies between Owhiro Bay and Island Bay. At Siren s rocks we had to explore the rocks and collect data of all the different species we found at the rocky shore. The rocky shore is an intertidal place where solid rocks predominate. It is useful for the study of Organisms living on the rocky shore. The rocky shore consists of the low tide, mid tide, high tide and splash zones. We used quadrats to sample which species was located in these zones and we did this when the tide was low. Quadrats is a sampling method used to see which organisms are located in certain proportions. The species I have chosen to talk about in my report today is one type of Limpet and one type of Top Shell. The common name for the Limpet I found is the Golden/ Radiate Limpet of whose scientific name is Cellana Radians which was found in the lower intertidal zone. The Cellana Radians is predated by starfish, whelks and shore birds. The Limpet is an herbivore because it eats Algae and Angiosperm which both are types of growing plants located within the rocky shore. The common name for the species of Top shell I found was actually Scorched Monodont whose scientific name is Diloma (Melagaphia) Aesthiops which is also found in the Lower intertidal name zone. The movie covers exciting representations of queer characters and is centered on conversion therapy which seems an outdated practice in modern films. Conversion therapy is rehabilitation that converts an individual s homosexual desires to regain heterosexual desires. Megan is the main character in the movie with many friends and a dreamy boyfriend who acts like a typical preppy cheerleader. As per the movie, Megan hardly kisses her boyfriend, and her parents thought of her to be a lesbian (Talburt 17 39). The parents later sent Megan to a youth camp that goes by the name True Directions which was for an ex gay run by Mike and Mary Brown. In that camp, Megan came across Cathy who was facing threats from her own father of being cut off completely. She never took these threats lightly even though she refuses to contain her attraction to sex. When Mary Brown the owner of the camp, tries to make Graham and Megan heterosexual they end up being romantic and this makes Megan discover her earlier inhibited sexuality. Therefore, the paper will argue on queer representation as evident in But I m a Cheerleader movie. The argument about Queer Representation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The ability for our computers to communicate has left us as easy targets for hackers and has sucked the American youth into a zombie like state into their phones. Many worry the internet is degrading our culture. When referring to the invention of writing and reading, Plato denounced writing as inhuman and warned that writing weakened the mind and that it threatened to destroy people s memory (Furedi). Adjusting to unfamiliar concepts and innovations can be uncomfortable and difficult for most people. Similarly, modern day sceptics look at the internet in a negative light because of its rapidly increasing impact on our society. What most tend to forget is the positive influences of the internet. The increased interconnection brought by the internet has led to a society that values productivity, rapid production of ideas, and social awareness. • 30. Native Civilizations And The United States As I was sitting in a classroom learning about world history, I wondered how the ancient civilizations responded to the immigration challenges that they had to face. Since the early civilizations, people have immigrated from place to place to find a better life for their families. The bad situations they live in obligated them to leave their houses and immigrated to unknown places. Even today thousands of people immigrate to another country looking for a better life. For example, throughout the American history millions of people around the world have left their homelands for a chance to start a new life in the United States. In the stories, Changing America 2001, Letters from an American farmer, the Art of Happiness, and Silent Dancing, we can see the most common problem that immigrants face in this country, finding their identity. As an immigrant, I personally have experienced some of the challenges that the immigrants in these stories share. I have gone through the process of adjusting to living in a country where another language is spoken and has a different culture. As humans, we start developing our identity since we are children. The living situations that we face have a big impact in defining who we are. The story Silent Dancing is an example of how culture shapes us in who we are. Culture refers to the characteristics of a particular group of people, including their language, cuisine, social habits, religion, music, and arts. It is a people s way of life. ... The Search for an Alternative to Aluminium Based Vaccines Reported incidences of toxicity due to aluminium based vaccines have always been a concern (Clements, 1996; Clements and Griffiths, 2002; Edleman, 1997). Therefore, there has always been a constant effort to search for alternative adjuvants. Polymeric micro and nanoparticles can act as a delivery vehicle and along with their adjuvanting capabilities may enhance the efficacy of the vaccine (Gregory et al., 2013; Koping Hoggard et al., 2005; Panyam and Labhasetwar, 2003). Biodegradable polymeric nanoparticles have been studied as potential adjuvants by many researchers but no considerable success has been achieved in this direction.
