Internet Computing

1.Traditional computing
..To run copies of software in our PC
2.PC –centric
..documents can be accessed in
computer on the network.
3. But with the help of cloud computing we can
use our files where ever in the world
1.Concepts evolved in 1950(IBM) called RJE
(remote job entry process)
2. In 2006 Amazon provided First public
cloud AWS(Amazon Web Service)
1. Distributed computing on internet Or
delivery of computing service over the
internet
Eg : AWS
2. Instead of saving programs in our own PC
we can save them in Cloud and access
anywhere in the world
 Storage:- put some data on some where by
providing some security to our data
*.only storage
Computing:- not only store the data we can
manipulate and process of data called as
Computing
*.process and storage of data
eg : computer and pendrives
1. End users
… use of Applications or Software
2. Business
…Infrastructure
3. Developer
….Platform
End user Cloud

2.Platform
3.Infrastruc
ture
There are 3 services models given as:
1. Software as a Service (SaaS)
2. Platform as a Service (PaaS)
3. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
 Defined as Service-on-demand
 In this model cloud providers install and
operate application software in the cloud
--Not allow to change the cloud
infrastructure and platform of cloud
--Eliminates install and run applications on
the user PC
SaaS includes: Google Apps, Microsoft Office
365
 In this model cloud provides deliver a
computing platform
..Including Operating System, programming
language execution environment on Cloud
..Developer run software without any cost
..Reducing buying and managing hardware
and software layers
Eg: AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Google App Engine
 Iaas offers computers physical or virtual
machines and other resources
…such as disk image library, file based
Storage, firewalls, IP addresses
Eg : Amazon EC2,Google Compute Engine,
HP Cloud
1.Create an Account
user name and password
2. Content lives with the
account in the cloud
3. Log onto any computer
in your account and get
your content
1. Lower computer costs
2. Reduce software cost
3. Unlimited storage capability
4. Universal document access
5. Latest version of software availability
6. Device independent
7. Create our own computer with require
configuration on cloud anywhere
8. Secure and no data loss because they
maintain a copy of data
1. Requires constant internet connection
2. Not work well in Low-speed Connections
3. They can charge amount based on usage of cloud
and features of cloud system
4. Software features might be limited
5. Can be slow
1. For regular usage of cloud the payment is high
 Cloud computing provide a super computing
power
 The applications and data served by the cloud
are available to broad group of users
