Connected Learning Communities aim to bring the Texas 2020 vision for learning to classrooms by providing digital tools and resources for students to access 24/7. The vision includes students engaging in authentic, problem-based learning and developing skills like collaboration, communication, community building, and becoming autonomous, reflective learners. It also aims to engage parents by giving them 24/7 access to student information and learning resources, and to enhance teacher professional development with 24/7 opportunities. The goals are to prepare students with the technology skills outlined in the Texas TEKS, and for teachers to fully integrate those ICT skills into core content instruction.
