 Nikita & Salman completed their MBA & started working
in a Multi national company at the same level. Both are
happy with their employer. Salman had the habit of
backbiting & wrong reporting about his colleagues to
impress his boss. All the employees in the organization
knew about it. At the time of performance appraisal the
performance of Nikita was judged better than Salman.
Even then their boss, Mohammad Sharif decided to
promote Salman stating that being a female Nikita will
not be able to handle the complications of a higher post.

The various forces of business like social, economic,
political, technological and legal keep on changing and
organizations have to adapt themselves to such changes
as create obstacles in the way of effective planning.
• With an aim to compete with its competitors,
Sigma Ltd. made its annual plan for ensuing year
on the assumption that the sales of its products
will rise in near future. Sigma Ltd. manufactures
1000 pens in a week with the help of existing
machine. But due to changes in technology a new
machine with low cost and more production was
launched in the market and the competitors
captured the market. Due to this Sigma Ltd. could
not achieve the objectives.
 Dual Ltd. a leading manufacturer of iron & steel decided
to open up a branch in remote area in jharkhand so that
unemployed youth from rural areas could get same
opportunities as those in urban areas. This innovative
step has raised the standard of living of people in rural
areas .All children in these families are getting good
education & these families are also actively contributing
in the nation building through dedicated work.

Answer-
 Characteristic “Management is a group activity” is
violated here. An organisation is a group of different
individuals who work together to achieve goals of an
organisation.
 Subordination of individual interest to personal
interest- The interest of the organisation as a whole
must be given priority over the interest of the
individual employees.

 Prakhar, a CEO of a company recommends uses
environment friendly methods in the manufacturing
process of a company to overcome negative impact of
political interference. He wanted to differentiate
between efficient & inefficient workers.

 Differential piece wage system- It is a technique
which differentiates between efficient worker &
inefficient worker. It rewards the efficient workers &
motivates the less efficient workers to improve their
efficiency.

of political interference.

task is not completed within given time period then strict
action will be taken against them. On the next day, one of
the teachers explains some problems to the Principal but

reasons. At the end of the given time period, the

their task.

  • 9.  Nikita & Salman completed their MBA & started working in a Multi national company at the same level. Both are happy with their employer. Salman had the habit of backbiting & wrong reporting about his colleagues to impress his boss. All the employees in the organization knew about it. At the time of performance appraisal the performance of Nikita was judged better than Salman. Even then their boss, Mohammad Sharif decided to promote Salman stating that being a female Nikita will not be able to handle the complications of a higher post.

Sigma Ltd. manufactures 1000 pens in a week with the help of existing machine. But due to changes in technology a new machine with low cost and more production was launched in the market and the competitors captured the market. Due to this Sigma Ltd. could not achieve the objectives.
  • 14.  Dual Ltd. a leading manufacturer of iron & steel decided to open up a branch in remote area in jharkhand so that unemployed youth from rural areas could get same opportunities as those in urban areas. This innovative step has raised the standard of living of people in rural areas .All children in these families are getting good education & these families are also actively contributing in the nation building through dedicated work. (a) Identify the objective of management highlighted in the above case. (b) Identify & explain the principle of management highlighted in the given case.

An organisation is a group of different individuals who work together to achieve goals of an organisation.  Subordination of individual interest to personal interest- The interest of the organisation as a whole must be given priority over the interest of the individual employees.
