ACTIVITES INVOLVED
• Review and understand the project specification / technical requirements & Drawings.
• Verification of materials, materials receiving inspection prior to release for fabrication
and installation.
• Review of client work method statement and QC procedure.
• Review the WPS, PQR and conducted WQT to qualify the welders.
• Witnessing the pipe fit ups & Weld visual at fabrication shop and site as per project

• Witnessing well pad modification activities as well as new well connection to the header
lines as per project specification / approved drawings.
• During Plant/Well pad shutdown witnessing the Tie in spool erection (Golden Joints) to
the live lines.
• RT film interpretation and witnessing the NDE tests.
• Witnessing PMI test on materials & welded joints.
• Review the PWHT charts and witnessing the Hardness test.
• Inspecting the structural fabrication and erection of the pipe racks and pipe supports as
per approved drawing/Code of construction.
• Raise the Technical Queries to the contractor/execution team as per site condition.
• Validity verification of calibrated measuring instruments, welding Machines, Electrode
baking ovens, Pressure Gauges
• To conduct line walk down and prepared punch list & classified the punch points and to
release the line for hydro test.
• Witnessing the hydro test as per project specification.
• Raising the NCR for the concern department who’s going against the approved
procedure/technical requirements and closing the NCR after completion of corrective
action which they are taken.
• Review and approve the test packs after completion of all site activities.
• Perform routine surveillance at contractor work site to inspect the welding consumables,
working tool status, welding parameters & check the Pre heat (If necessary).
• To conduct the toolbox talk at contractor work place and to make their welders
understand about WPS and review their previous day production reports.

during pre-commissioning activities for wind turbine generator.
