This document describes how a sound designer created a glass bottles clinking sound effect by applying reverb and echo effects to an original recording using audio plugins. The designer used ReaVerb and echo/reverb generators to make the sound feel like it was in an open space and edited effects like wet/dryness and echo length until it sounded realistic. A similar technique was applied to muttering voices using consistent effects.

1. This is was for a glass bottles clinking sound effect. The original recording
sounded like glass together but it was too flat so I applied the VST: ReaVerb
(Cockos) with the sweetverbo preset. From this I added the Reverb Generator
and the Echo Generator, which made my sound feel more as though it was in an
open space. I edited a few other things such as altering the wet and dryness, and
moving the length until the echo sounded realistic. Using a similar technique, I used the same plugin (the keep the effects
consistent) to the voice / muttering at the start.
