Two major challenges for evolving LTE (Long Term Evolution) networks are to achieve enhanced system capacity and cell coverage compared with WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) system. Effective utilization of radio resources as well as dense spectrum reuse are at the core to attain these targets. However, dense frequency reuse may increase inter-cell interference, which in turn severely limits the capacity of users in the system. Inter-cell interference can restrict overall system performance in terms of throughput and spectral efficiency, especially for the users located at the cell edge area. Hence, careful management of inter-cell interferences becomes crucial to improve LTE system performance. In this paper, interference mitigation schemes for LTE downlink networks are investigated.

CDMA Transmitter and Receiver Implementation Using FPGA
Abstract: Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) is a spread spectrum technique that uses neither frequency channels nor time slots. With CDMA, the narrow band message (typically digitized voice data) is multiplied by a large bandwidth signal that is a pseudo random noise code (PN code). All users in a CDMA system use the same frequency band and transmit simultaneously. The transmitted signal is recovered by correlating the received signal with the PN code used by the transmitter. The DS - CDMA is expected to be the major medium access technology in the future mobile systems owing to its potential capacity enhancement and the robustness against noise. The CDMA is uniquely featured by its spectrum-spreading randomization process employing a pseudo-noise (PN) sequence, thus is often called the spread spectrum multiple access (SSMA). As different CDMA users take different PN sequences, each CDMA receiver can discriminate and detect its own signal, by regarding the signals transmitted by other users as noise- like interferences. In this project direct sequence principle based CDMA transmitter and receiver is implemented in VHDL for FPGA. Modelsim 6.2(MXE) tool will be used for functional and logic verification at each block. The Xilinx synthesis technology (XST) of Xilinx ISE 9.2i tool will be used for synthesis of transmitter and receiver on FPGA Spartan 3E. Keywords: CDMA, DSSS, BPSK, GOLD code.

Wireless sensor network are the collection of individual nodes which are able to interact with physical
environment statically or dynamically by sensing or controlling physical parameter. Wireless sensor network
become a leading solution in many important applications such as intrusion detection, target tracking,
industrial automation etc. A major problem with WSN is to determining a most efficient protocol for
conserving energy of power source. The design of an energy- efficient Medium Access efficient Control
(MAC) protocol is one of the major issues in wireless sensor networks (WSN). In this paper we study some
characteristics of WSN that are important for the design of MAC layer protocols and give a brief introduction
of some newly come MAC protocols with reference to energy efficiency for WSN. In accordance with channel
access policies, MAC protocols are classified into four types, which are cross layer protocols, TDMA-based,
contention-based and hybrid, these are discussed in this paper.

Design and development broadband monopole antenna for in-door application
This paper describes the broadband monopole antenna refers to a signal
wideband of the frequencies, which can be divided the signal into channels of
the frequency bins. Aim this paper to design and development broadband
monopole antenna. The monopole antenna was designed by adding slot to
the radiated patch antenna with a single feed line, which reduced the size and
the design complexity. A rectangular patch antenna was presented using feed
line to decrease the ground plane with a suitable gap distance. The broadband
monopole antenna was designed with a frequency range of 800 MHz – 3 GHz,
with Bandwidth 0.66 (dB), reflection coefficients and return loss.
The frequency-dependent characteristic impedance was included. It can be
used in various broadband applications in used commercially for various
communication systems such as 4G (LTE), WiMAX and WLAN (LTE),
remote sensing, biomedical, and mobile wireless. Apart from that, this
technology is environment-friendly; an antenna which consists of reception
and transmission. The antenna is simulated by using computer simulation
(CST) software; using FR-4 substrate of 4.4 permittivity thickness 1.6 mm and
loss tangent of 0.025. The measurement result is accepted with simulation
result, proving the acceptable broadband operation for this proposed structure.

S-MAC is a medium access control (MAC) protocol designed for wireless sensor networks to improve energy efficiency. It reduces energy waste from sources like idle listening, collisions, overhearing unnecessary traffic, and control packet overhead. S-MAC establishes low-duty-cycle operation where nodes periodically sleep to reduce idle listening. It also introduces coordinated sleeping among neighboring nodes to reduce control overhead and enable traffic-adaptive wakeups. S-MAC was implemented and evaluated on wireless sensor nodes, demonstrating significant energy savings compared to IEEE 802.11 while achieving good scalability and collision avoidance.
A Dynamic MAC Protocol for WCDMA Wireless Multimedia Networks
Existing MAC protocols like TDMA and 802.11
have many disadvantages for scheduling multimedia traffic in
CDMA wireless networks. Our objective is to develop a
dynamic MAC protocol for WCDMA networks to avoid
congestion and improve the channel utilization and
throughput of the bulky real-time flows. In this paper, we
propose to develop a dynamic MAC protocol for wireless
multimedia networks. In the design, we combine the merits of
the CSMA, TDMA MAC protocols with WCDMA systems to
improve the throughput of the multimedia WLAN in a
cellular environment. We use these MAC protocols
adaptively, to handle both the low and high data traffics of the
mobile users. It uses multiple slots per frame allowing
multiple users to transmit simultaneously using their own
CDMA codes. By simulation results, we show that our
proposed MAC protocol achieves high channel utilization and
improved throughput with reduced average delay under low
and high data traffic.
