This Small Town Means Business: Improving Local Economy When you grow up
in a small town the one thing that is the most difficult to withstand is boredom. At
least, that s how it is for the youth of the area. However, when you look at it from an
older and more mature perspective you might realize that the main issue with some
small towns is job availability, as well as the town s revenue for different projects, etc.
Recently my hometown has been undertaking a few different projects that will really
benefit the area and it s economy. The youth league softball program has grown
tremendously within the past few years. Due to that improvement, Sallisaw was
chosen to host a state tournament. Which was wonderful until we realized that our
softball complex was not best suited for a tournament of this magnitude. This is
when talk began on building an entirely new sports complex for all of the youth
league sports in the area. One other issue arose through hosting this tournament. Out
of sixty three teams who were in the tournament last summer, only one team stayed
in Sallisaw. The rest of the teams were sent to stay in hotels here in Fort Smith, all
because the hotels that are located in Sallisaw did not have an indoor swimming
pool. The teams would rather make a thirty minute commute than stay in a hotel that
does not have a swimming pool. The next project Sallisaw is undertaking is bringing
in a well known hotel

but when researching I found that there were many things researchers do not know
about HFNC such as the indication of HFNC and criteria for timing the start of

On October 20, my Visionary Volunteers group performed our 10 hours of
community service for this project with the CommUniverCity organization. This
organization focuses on bringing people from the city of San Jose and SJSU
students together to help the community surrounding Downtown San Jose to
become more sustainable and use more renewable resources. We volunteered and
helped out at the Safe and Green Halloween Party which took place at McKinley
Elementary School which is very close to our university. This Halloween party was
based on the theme of safety on Halloween and being environmentally friendly. I was
there for the entire duration of the event from setting up to cleaning up. For setting
up, I helped by cleaning trash off the school playground, arranging tables and chairs
for the various activitybooths, and decorating the playground for the event. One
important thing which I learned here was that teamwork helps us to accomplish
large tasks faster. I found out that teamwork helps me to become more social and
meet new people. This makes the job more fun as I interact with others while
performing my tasks. If I was working alone, I would not have enjoyed it as much
as it would be more work for me. Also, I would not have had anyone to talk to while

that Armitage is some sort of flesh construct, a ROM personality build around the
fragmented identity of a real man named Corto, who was almost killed in a military
raid. Eventually, the Corto s personality emerges through Armitage; he is insane and
is killed by Wintermute. In contrast, Armitage had self preservation habits. Even
though, Armitage was just a programmed personality, built by Wintermute, he
seemed more real and human than his actual identity, Corto (Roberts 176 177). For
some entire clans, like the Tessier Ashpools, the progress in technology was their

I don t blame you for writing of me as you have. You had to believe other stories,
but then I don t know if anyone would believe anything good of me anyway, Billy
the Kid. Although many people believe Billy the kid was a bad person, there are
many stories of Billy that make him seem like a carefree and funny person. Billy the
Kidhad to overcome lots of obstacles in his life and those hardships are what made
him a bad person. Billy s real name was Henry McCarty,he was also known as

Introduction:
The Kings County School District is one of the largest public school intuitions in
New York State. Kings County educates over 450,00 students. The district has 42
elementary schools (grades K 5), 35 middle schools (grades 6 8), and 22 high schools
(grades 9 11). It also employess over 6,000 teachers, ______special education
teachers and 500 paraprofessionals across the 98 schools. The Individuals with
Disabilities Education Act of 2004 (IDEA) has 13 disability categories listed in
order to qualify for special educational services. About 40 % of Kings District
students are English Language Learners and 50% are students with disabilities
ranging from being classified as having learning disability (LD), other health impaired
(OHI), and speech and language impairment (SLI). Throughout the district, programs
such as universal pre kindergarten, middle school, high school.
Evaluation Purpose:
The Director of Special Education, Deborah Cox requested that Consultant Inc.
conduct an evaluation of the special education programs for Kings County Public

  • 46. Reflection On Community Work On October 20, my Visionary Volunteers group performed our 10 hours of community service for this project with the CommUniverCity organization. This organization focuses on bringing people from the city of San Jose and SJSU students together to help the community surrounding Downtown San Jose to become more sustainable and use more renewable resources. We volunteered and helped out at the Safe and Green Halloween Party which took place at McKinley Elementary School which is very close to our university. This Halloween party was based on the theme of safety on Halloween and being environmentally friendly. I was there for the entire duration of the event from setting up to cleaning up. For setting up, I helped by cleaning trash off the school playground, arranging tables and chairs for the various activitybooths, and decorating the playground for the event. One important thing which I learned here was that teamwork helps us to accomplish large tasks faster. I found out that teamwork helps me to become more social and meet new people. This makes the job more fun as I interact with others while performing my tasks. If I was working alone, I would not have enjoyed it as much as it would be more work for me.
