This project involved constructing a raised median with a cut through, curb ramp, pedestrian crosswalk, milling and overlay, pavement markings and signage along Chain Bridge Road in Fairfax County, VA. Description:
This project was substantially completed on October 26, 2018. The scope of this project included
construction of raised median with cut through, curb ramp, pedestrian crosswalk, milling and
overlay, pavement markings and signage.
Project Overview:
• This project was federally funded (RSTP), Davis Bacon, DBE and related acts applied. This was
also a VDOT LAP (Locally Administered Project). The project limit/length is 85 FT with the
construction site estimate of 2,883 SF. The total disturbed area is 407 SF and the site
impervious area is 0.063 AC. The purpose of this project is to provide a safer access to the bus
stop and to improve pedestrian access at the intersection of Chain Bridge Road and Seneca
Avenue.
