6 Types of Guest Posts I'll Never AcceptObaidul Haque

Do you publish guest posts on your blog? Well, I publish them too. But I reject as much as 70% - 80% of all the guest post submissions I receive. If you want to know why, here are six types of guest posts I'll never accept. And it's highly recommended that you don't allow them either.
"This all may sound terribly cynical, but I am trying to tell you that reading shouldnât be like washing dishes. Iâm not saying that if you donât like the opening sentence just give up. But after youâve given a book a few chapters â if it doesnât make you want to buy a dishwasher and get to bed early to collapse into your book â then maybe it just isnât the book for you at the moment. Head to your local Indy store, share your opinions, faint if you must, but buy a different book."

The other evening I had a wonderful opportunity to spend about 70 minutes with a group of 40ish first and second year teachers in my area. I was asked to come in and help them with some ideas around engagement. At first, I was really struggling with this concept because there are so many deeper issues that lead to students not being engaged in the classroom. While I am not able to solve the problems for each educator, I did try to curate a hands on session that challenged their thinking about simple and free approaches to rethink how we allow students to express learning.
The intended outcome was to have beginning teachers will know and be able to select strategies to engage students and increase motivation.

Operation âBlue Starâ is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Â
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
⢠The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
⢠The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate âany matterâ at âany timeâ under House Rule X.
⢠The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
Â
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasnât one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

2009
Welcome to first collection

resources, and more
gathered from the last five
years on my blog. I hope
you enjoy these collections
as I go back in time to read
and pull out the best
materials.
3. Welcome
The year 2009 I was just in the process of starting
out. Posts were not very frequent and many of them
were more about the day to day activities of my
classroom.
However, along the way some links and ideas still
hold true today.
Many of these in this collection are more fun, but
you can see where I was five years ago.
Enjoy

Introduction
I donât expect anyone to go back and read through the thou-sands
of blog posts that I have shared over the course of the
last five years since I started blogging. My blog has changed fo-cus
and perspective over the years depending on what I am in-spired
by and what moves me to remain a life long learner.
I am in the process of writing two books and for part of my writ-ing
journey I have started to go back from the start to check out
what I have shared to learn about myself and how I have
changed. While reading the beginning posts I felt the need to
click links and see what still holds true today.
This collection are some of my favorite links and ideas shared
from the year 2009. I did not post as frequent back then and
was really trying to find a voice. I was in a completely different
frame of mind. I am not the best blogger now, but I was not very
good back then. However, some posts are quite fun and addict-ing.
As a thank you for subscribing to my newsletter I wanted to
compile the best links and ideas from the blog from the year
2009. In case you have forgotten moments from 2009 go ahead
and read quick recap of current events.

I hope you enjoy this and I hope to push out Volume 2:

addicting or useful from this volume.

Riddle
There was once a wicked queen who lived in a wonderful pal-ace
in the mountains. She decided one day to build another pal-ace
so she sent her guards to the villages and told them to
bring back all the young men to build it. Of course the young
men didnât want to leave their homes, and one demanded to
speak to the queen, to complain about how unfairly she was
treating them all. Impressed by his spirit the queen decided to
give him a chance.
âCome with me,â she said and he followed her out to the castle
garden.
She held up a small bag. âInto this bag my servant will put two
stones, a black one and white one. You will draw from the bag
one stone. If it is black you will work for me, if it is white you will
go home.â
The young man agreed, but not fully trusting the queen he
watched the servant closely. To his horror his keen eyes saw
the servant place two black stones in the bag.
âDraw,â commanded the queen.
The young man was able to go home.
If you cannot solve it, then do a a little Google search
