with physical characteristics
-Categories: skin color, hair
texture, hair color, shape of the
eyes and nose, or the height.
7. Race
Three divisions of races:
1. Negroid (Sub-Saharan African
related populations)
2. Mongoloid (East Asian related
populations)
3. Caucasoid (West-Eurasian
related populations)

8. 1.Negroid
Negroid or Sub-Saharan African
related populations are found in
many parts of Africa, and
historically in Southeast Asia and
Oceania (Negrito groups).

Chocolate-black skin
Curly hair
Thick lips
Wide/flat nose
dark brown eyes
9. 2.Mongoloid
The Mongoloid race or “East Asian
related people” are native to East
Asia, Siberia and Southeast Asia, as
well as the American continents.
Today also in some parts of Central
Asia and some other regions.

Flat lying eyelids
Thick dark hair
Yellow-brownish complexion

10. 3.Caucasoid
The Caucasoid race is native to
South- and West-Asia, Europe,
northern Africa and historically
Central Asia (and parts of Siberia).
Note however that South Asia
(India) is very diverse.

Light blue-dark brown eyes
High, narrow-medium broad nose
12. ETHNICITY
The quality or fact of belonging to
a population group or subgroup
made up of people who share a
common cultural background or
descent.

values, food, clothing, or religion
15. 1. Tagalog

-Most of these locals are living in the
National Capital Region (NCR), Region
4A (CALABARZON), and Region 4B
(MIMAROPA), and have strong
political influence in the country.
16. 2. Ilocano

They mostly reside within the Ilocos
Region and some parts of Cagayan
Valley region and Eastern parts of
Pangasinan.
17. 3. Pangasinense

The main language is Pangasinan
which primarily spoken in central area
that includes the cities of Dagupan
and San Carlos, and big towns like
Lingayen.
18. 4. Bicolano

The Bicolano people or the Bikolanos
(Bikol: Mga Bikolnon) are the fourth-
largest Filipino ethnolinguistic group.
19. 5. Kapampangan

Kapampangan is a Luzon ethnic group
that lives mostly in Pampanga and
some parts of Central Luzon. Dubbed
as the “Culinary Capital of the
Philippines”.
20. 6. Kankanaey

They are found in the Cordillera
Administrative Region (CAR). There
are nine main ethnolinguistic groups
whose domains are in the Cordillera
Mountain Range
Igorot ethnic groups:
Bontoc, Ibaloi, Ifugao, Kalanguya,
Isneg, Itneg, Kalinga, and Kankanaey

Cebuanos are one of the major ethnic
groups in the Philippines. Most of
these people live in Cebu and some
parts of Mindanao.
22. 8. Badjao

The Badjao tribe in the Philippines can
be found in Zamboanga and Sulu
where they live above water that is why
they are called Sea Nomads or Sea
Gypsies.
23. 9.Tausug
23
The Tausūg or Suluk (Tausug: Tau
Sūg), part of the wider political
identity of Muslims of Mindanao, Sulu
and Palawan.
