Traffic Data Analysis and Prediction using Big DataJongwook Woo
- Denser traffic on Freeways 101, 405, 10
- Rush hours from 7 am to 9 am produce a lot of traffic, the heaviest traffic time start from 3pm and gets better after 6pm.
- Major areas of traffic in DTLA, Santa Monica, Hollywood
- More insights can be found with bigger dataset using this framework for analysis of traffic
- Using such data and platform can also give an opportunity to predict traffic congestions. Prediction can be performed using machine learning algorithm – Decision Forest with the accuracy of 83% for predicting the heaviest traffic jam.

In this White paper, Torry Harris Business Solutions carries out a high level comparison of the significant features delivered by key public cloud providers of the industry and key considerations that enterprises need to take into account while they embark on Cloud Computing.
Azure was announced in October 2008 and released on 1 February 2010 as Windows Azure, before being renamed to Microsoft Azure on 25 March 2014. Along with Amazon Web Services Azure is considered a leader in the IAAS field.
Microsoft Azure is an open and flexible cloud platform that enables you to quickly build, deploy, and manage applications across a global network of Microsoft-managed datacenters. You can build applications using any language, tool, or framework. And you can integrate your public cloud applications with your existing IT environment.
This definition tells us that Microsoft Azure is a cloud platform, which means you can use it for running your business applications, services, and workloads in the cloud. But it also includes some key words that tell us even more:
Open Microsoft Azure provides a set of cloud services that allow you to build and deploy cloud-based applications using almost any programming language, framework, or tool.
Flexible Microsoft Azure provides a wide range of cloud services that can let you do everything from hosting your company’s website to running big SQL databases in the cloud. It also includes different features that can help deliver high performance and low latency for cloud-based applications.
Microsoft-managed Microsoft Azure services are currently hosted in several datacenters spread across the United States, Europe, and Asia. These datacenters are managed by Microsoft and provide expert global support on a 24x7x365 basis.
Compatible Cloud applications running on Microsoft Azure can easily be integrated with on-premises IT environments that utilize the Microsoft Windows Server platform.
It provides both PAAS and IAAS services and supports many different programming languages, tools and frameworks, including both Microsoft-specific and third-party software and systems.

Fog computing is a model that processes and stores data near network edge devices rather than solely in cloud data centers. It extends cloud computing to the edge of the network to provide low latency services to end users. Key characteristics include proximity to users, dense geographical distribution, and support for mobility. Fog computing is well-suited for applications requiring real-time processing like industrial automation and IoT networks of sensors. It helps improve quality of service by bringing services closer to users and enabling real-time analytics on distributed data sources.
POTHOLE DETECTION SYSTEM USING YOLO v4 ALGORITHMIRJET Journal
This document describes a pothole detection system that uses the YOLO v4 object detection algorithm. The system uses a camera to capture live video and extracts images from the video stream. These images are fed into a pretrained YOLO v4 model that detects and highlights any potholes in real-time with bounding boxes. The model provides accuracy percentages for each detected pothole. A graphical user interface allows users to start and stop the detection process. An evaluation of the YOLO v4 model found it achieved 85-90% accuracy in real-time pothole detection, outperforming an earlier version that used a CNN model. Sample output images from the system demonstrate potholes being correctly detected and

The Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2600 v2 product family enabled healthcare company Sectra to stream 3D medical images to a wider range of devices, allowing more clinicians to access images. Sectra optimized its software to generate and stream images from servers equipped with the Intel processors. Tests showed the new solution could support 35% more concurrent users and delivered a 50% performance increase over the previous generation processors. This improved performance allows hospitals to consolidate servers and reduce hardware costs while providing medical images to more clinicians across the hospital.

Industry trends are impacting cardiovascular services, clinical IT needs and solutions are evolving, and Cardiology IT needs are changing. What does this all mean for cardiologists and patient care?
In most hospitals, the perioperative department drives the lion’s share of revenues-typically around 50-60%-while contributing 30-40% of the costs.1 Those costs largely reflect supply consumption. According to one study, supply costs accounted for 56 % of the total expense budget for a perioperative department, exceeding salary costs by more than 20%. 2
Facing major capital and operational budget pressure, most healthcare organizations are seeking more effective ways to reduce OR supply costs while preserving or even improving patient safety, operational efficiency, and staff productivity.
Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) facilitate fast and accurate access to patient
records, which could improve diagnosis and patient monitoring. Using a 12-year county-
level panel, we nd that a 10 percent increase in births that occur in hospitals with
EMRs reduces neonatal mortality by 16 deaths per 100,000 live births. This is driven
by a reduction of deaths from conditions requiring careful monitoring. We also nd a
strong decrease in mortality when we instrument for EMRs adoption using variation in
state medical privacy laws. Rough cost-eectiveness calculations suggest that EMRs
are associated with a cost of $531,000 per baby's life saved.
This document discusses how River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, Mississippi uses GE Healthcare's Centricity Perinatal electronic documentation system in their neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The system streamlines documentation, allowing nurses to spend more time with patients. It also improves continuity of care by giving doctors and nurses access to patient and maternal records. Nurses praise the system for being easy to use and increasing physician access while reducing interface time. The records also help facilitate discharge planning and ensure follow-up care information is communicated.

Are you looking for a long-lasting solution to your missing tooth?
Dental implants are the most common type of method for replacing the missing tooth. Unlike dentures or bridges, implants are surgically placed in the jawbone. In layman’s terms, a dental implant is similar to the natural root of the tooth. It offers a stable foundation for the artificial tooth giving it the look, feel, and function similar to the natural tooth.

The development of nanogold-based cancer therapy could revolutionize oncology by providing a more targeted, less invasive treatment option. This project contributes to the growing body of research aimed at harnessing nanotechnology for medical applications, paving the way for future clinical trials and potential commercial applications.
Cancer remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide, prompting the need for innovative treatment methods. Nanotechnology offers promising new approaches, including the use of gold nanoparticles (nanogold) for targeted cancer therapy. Nanogold particles possess unique physical and chemical properties that make them suitable for drug delivery, imaging, and photothermal therapy.
The biomechanics of running involves the study of the mechanical principles underlying running movements. It includes the analysis of the running gait cycle, which consists of the stance phase (foot contact to push-off) and the swing phase (foot lift-off to next contact). Key aspects include kinematics (joint angles and movements, stride length and frequency) and kinetics (forces involved in running, including ground reaction and muscle forces). Understanding these factors helps in improving running performance, optimizing technique, and preventing injuries.
