Social Farming Works – this is one of the key findings of an Evaluation Report on Social Farming in Kerry, launched by Minister Michael Creed on 7 July 2017. The report, which was prepared by Dr Brendan O’Keeffe (Mary Immaculate College), Dr Caroline Crowley (Crowley Research) and Dr Shane O’Sullivan (Limerick Institute of Technology), was commissioned by the Kerry Social Farming (KSF) Working Group in 2016, under the umbrella of lead partner South Kerry Development Partnership CLG (SKDP). The commissioning of this Project Review formed part of a Social Farming Model Project developed by KSF/SKDP and is being funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM), via the Commission for Economic Development of Rural Areas (CEDRA). The authors undertook a detailed independent review of the Social Farming initiative in Kerry to access its impact, as well as to examine ways in which the project can be developed and enhanced.

It is with great joy that I join the Rotaract (Rotary) Family in ushering in the year 2007-2008 with the theme ROTARY SHARES .
Of course this theme has nothing to do with the listing of Rotary on any of the stock exchanges of the world but rather a call to
share ideas and resources to grow Club membership and effectiveness in projects.
Special emphasis has been set on Net Membership increase and I take this opportunity to share that that our Rotaract Clubs goals is to have a net membership increase of one new member every half year. This should be indicative in all Rotaract functions like ROTS, RYLA, and District Conference etc where each Club will be required to have atleast one additional member in attendance.
As Rotaractors, we have benefited from the mentorship
of our Rotarians and it is important that we share the
fruitage by reaching out to Interactors who are the largest
buffer opportunity for Rotaract membership. I request you
to not only identify Interact Clubs that you can mentor but
also support your Rotary (Mother) Clubs in forming Interact
clubs.

The theme Rotary Shares has been our guide during the year
2007-08 and as we taxi the runway, the Rotaract District Team
uses this opportunity to SHARE with you a summary of the
successes and achievements from the various clubs in D9200. We started off the year with various ROTS (Rotaract
Officers Training Seminar) sessions in the District. This
was an important capacity enhancement exercise that has
contributed to learning and sharing resources within the
clubs and at inter-clubs level.
Rotaract is the fastest growing program of Rotary
International with over 7,000 clubs…and counting… In
D9200 this is evident in the eagerness of the various
Rotaract Clubs to grow in membership and numbers as
well as the encouraging efforts in growing the Programs
of Rotary.
Our Playbook ‘Volunteering for All’ is the vision of the National Volunteering Framework which we helped to co-design. We share the ambition of a Scotland where everyone can volunteer, more often, and throughout their lives.

A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.

Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.

Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.

Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.

Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder

Once again, the cooperative sector in Region 1 joins the nation in the celebration of the
2015 Cooperative Month. This is the time when all stakeholders gather together and undertake
various activities to promote cooperativism in the consciousness of the public and its
contribution to social, economic development and nation-building. This is also a time to
celebrate the occasion and the coops’ successes and triumphs in their organization and
business operation. A time to strengthen the camaraderie and kindred spirit among cooperators
in the region. This year’s celebration which carries the theme: “Kooperatiba: Ika-100 Taong
Pagpupugay, Tulay sa Maunlad na Buhay” is a fitting tribute to the 100th
