This document discusses costumes and props for several characters in a film. It describes typical office wear costumes for the main characters Steph and Julie to distinguish their personalities. It also describes a plain, all-black hoodie costume for the mysterious antagonist. Standard office outfits are planned for male colleagues. Most of the costumes will be obtained from the actors, and charity shops will provide replacements if needed. Props needed include padlocks, keys, a fake needle, and a carrier bag, while bolt cutters are not truly necessary.
2. STEPH'S COSTUME
This is the costume I plan to have one of my main characters, Steph,
wear. I have chosen this costume as she works in an office and this
is typical office wear. I have chosen a top that is brighter (white) than
Julie's top (dull) to show she is a stronger character in terms of
emotion and confidence.
My actor owns all of this costume so that is where I will obtain it
from. If, for any reason, I cannot use any of the costume they have
then I will go to charity shops or ask other family and friends to
borrow the missing parts.
3. This is the costume I plan to have one of my main characters, Julie,
wear. I have chosen this costume as she used to work in the same
offices as Steph and this is typical office wear. I have chosen these
colours as I feel they are a bit more dated and it is unlikely to be
worn as much now. Additionally, the colours aren't as exciting
showing her weaker character.
I will obtain most of this costume from the actor themselves and
borrow some from family and friends. If I can't use any of the
clothes I plan to use for the costume, I will try to find some at charity
shops.
JULIE'S COSTUME
4. ANTAGONIST'S COSTUME
This is the costume that I plan to have my antagonist wear. I
have chosen these as they are plain and simple. The
costume is all black as I believe this adds to the character's
mysteriousness. Typically in many films, mysterious or
criminal characters wear hoodies, perhaps, because of the
ability to hide their face which my character will do.
I will obtain this costume from the actor themselves as they
are likely to have most of these items. If not I will go to a
charity shop to buy any missing pieces or ask any family and
friends if they have any I could borrow for the film.
5. COLLEAGUES
This is the typical costume I plan to have any colleagues
wear as it is a simple office outfit for a man.
I will obtain this costume from the actors themselves as they
are likely to have most of these items. If not I will go to a
charity shop to buy any missing pieces or borrow some
from any family and friends for the film.
6. PROPS
There are various props that I need for my film. The
majority of these items are easy to get hold of as they are
largely household items. I will need a some padlocks and
keys for the cellar and cage doors. I don't necessarily need
bolt cutters as such as the padlock on the cage door won't
really be cut, it will just look like it has been. The carrier
bag can be any bag- just to look like the antagonist has
been to the shop.
The fake needle may be the only thing I will have to go out
and buy either from online (Amazon) or a toy/joke shop.
